Balcony was great. Building is surrounded by quite a few slumlike dwellings, but within a block, it’s great. There is even a Dean & DeLuca around the corner. Would not recommend the pool area as it is shaded and in an ally way like area. There were a lot of kids all over the place, so not a tranquil spot. Best part of our stay was the room. It was perfect for us, and the owner was lovely.All the folks working the property were super friendly.

A great stay. The place is as advertised, very clean, and well located in Waikiki. It's just off of the busy section, so it's not as hectic location-wise, but it was easy to get a ride-share, and most of the busy areas, including the beaches, of Waikiki can also be accessed by walking.We were two adult couples, and the place was perfect - we each had our own bedrooms and bathrooms, and the floorplan was such that you could be in the living room or kitchen and really not disturb someone trying to sleep in one of the bedrooms.Hazel, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful. She provided very useful tips and information beforehand. All messages were answered quickly. The staff at the building were professional and good.

We stayed with myself and my two adult children (18 and 23) my brother and his wife and two children (15and 10 months). All rooms were large enough for everyone to not be in each other’s way. The living room and bathroom balconies offer great views the hotel staff was wonderful as well as the VRBO host. Communication was excellent. Literally walking distance to anything and everything that you need. Incredible shopping five minutes away the ocean and beach eight minutes away walking distance. Outside even late at night or early in the morning was clean and felt safe. We’re from the Bay Area so homeless is not shocking to us. There are a few homeless people, but they didn’t seem to really bother anyone. There were beach chairs in the laundry room closet to use some sand castle building, buckets, etc. we ended up leaving a few large and small inner tubes to float in Waikiki Beach (so fun!) and snorkeling gear there as well. The reasons for the low rating:1) I couldn't sleep with such strong scent from the bedsheets. The next morning the bed sheets and mattress pad had to be washed with my own detergent. The towels also had same strong scent and had to be washed.2) After removing the mattress pad, the mattress had a horrible large stain covering over half the mattress (bed next to bathroom in room with two beds). This is definitely not what I wanted to see or sleep on! Replace the mattresses!3) The pots, pans and rice cooker in the kitchen were very worn and they should be replaced.4) A moldy cup of tea was left in the microwave.5) The kitchen faucet needs to be replaced since it always needs to be jiggled to turn water off.6) The AC unit emitted a musty smell throughout our stay in room with one bed. It should be replaced.7) Overall, a lot of maintenance is required before I would consider renting again.

Great place for two couples. We enjoyed the amenities of the apartment, as well as the location and walking distance to restaurants and food trucks. My husband and I took advantage of the lanais whenever we were not on an excursion, and enjoyed watching the Friday night fireworks from this great vantage point.

The Royal Garden place was a wonderful experience for us. There was two couples and it was wonderful.There was two bedrooms and large bathroom ,with the kitchen and living room in the center. The living room was a large size to with plenty os spaces to sit we would highly recommend this place and would definitely return to it if we come back. There was also laundry which was great since we were leaving for a cruise.

Stayed for a week with my husband, sister and brother-in-law. Quite spacious. 3 balconies. One off the living room and the other 2 off each bedroom. Clean, kitchen was fairly functional. The stove was very dirty when we arrived. I think the cleaning people missed it. I found using the stove a bit difficult to use do to the numbers and writing on the stove worn off so you couldn’t read the temperature settings. It was a challenging to make eggs etc as the frying pans are all small and the non stick coating was not good anymore.It was nice to have a full size refrigerator for our food and drinks.A/C worked extremely well in all the rooms.The pool area was adequate but if you have young kids the pool really doesn’t have much shallow area for little. They will need life jackets. It was over my head and I’m 5’9”, but I had a floatie so I was fine. Sauna was nice at the pool. There is plenty of space for more loungers but they didn’t have a lot at the pool so it was a bit challenging to find a chair at times.Hotel staff were all nice.ABC store is a 3 min walk.One prior review said the area looked run down and I agree. Looking out the windows is was a bit unappealing.There are beach chairs in a closet but several of them were broken. A few were not. This closet had a nice cool to use which we did.The distance to the beach was a little long for us. A 10 min walk but we mostly Uber’d because of bad knees.Beds and pillows were ok but not great.

This was our first trip to Honolulu/Waikiki so having a nice place to stay was good thing. This condo is a nice place to stay, this is what we thought were positives and negatives.Positives:* Very spacious* Having 3 balconies were fantastic* The floors were beautiful* The place is equipped with the basic essentials you would need, coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, dishes, serving utensils, electric stove, dish washer etc.* Airconditioning for the main room and each bedroom worked perfectly well easy to control with the remotes.* TV's and cable were good* There were 3 elevators to access which were really close to this condo, easy to get to and quiet.* The condo's location compared to all of the other 10 condos on this floor was absolutely the best because it was separated from the rest of them.* Lobby was very clean and beautiful, nice chandeliers* Location was good, beach and shopping were a short walking distance* Each bathroom had its own Bidet which was very niceNegatives:* Cleanliness overall, the place was fairly clean however there were areas that did not get enough attention such as the laundry room for example lint was all over the walls, ceiling and W&D machines, not sure the last time it was thoroughly cleaned. Counters in the kitchen and dining room had been wiped but there was film left over from whatever cleaning solution was used.* The condo definitely needs to be updated you will find that most of the items are worn and well used

The condo was perfect for our family. Two large bedrooms and bathrooms with plenty of living space to spread out. We appreciated having beach chairs, snorkel equipment and sand chairs available. The pool was surprisingly nice and warm in February. The views are fantastic and the condo is easily walkable to restaurants, stores and Waikiki beach. The host and staff were so helpful and accommodating.

This property was as described and exactly as pictured. Views from all 3 balconies were amazing!! Location was perfect for us, a short walk to downtown Waikiki, restaurants and the beach. We were 2 adult couples and the property couldn’t have been better for us. Two bedrooms each with bathrooms separated from the common areas with doors. Lots of space for all 4 of us. Great communication with agents (Hazel/Cheryl) both incredibly helpful. Even had beach chairs, snorkelling gear and beach toys in the back closet in the laundry room. We would definitely stay here again.

This condo is wonderful. This is a corner unit and had great views from every room. Each bedroom had its own bath and they were all spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts were prompt to answer questions when we were on site and the location was very convenient. We didn’t use the pool, but the gym was good. We had a wonderful trip.

The property has an excellent location and is great for a short or longer stay. The property management is excellent! The kitchen could use more cooking utensils and the addition of a blender would make it more conducive to cooking. Sure there are items that need a bit of attention like the broken dishwasher door, the broker auto ice maker internal feed but nothing that makes a stay difficult. They were wonderful to work with and the late checkout and luggage storage was such a huge help! The $50/day valet parking option is well worth it as parking is a problem in the area. Ensure to pick up laundry detergent and supplies and you will be all set. Highly recommend the property.

My family (husband and 2 yo daughter) and I stayed at this 2 bedroom suite during our recent stay in Waikiki with our friends and their 8 month old. The location of this specific unit is away from the others and the bedrooms are far enough from each other that both kiddos (and parents!) could not hear the other crying when in the rooms! Each bedroom has their own bathrooms with a sink that has plenty of counter space, a bathtub, toilet (with a bidet!!) and shower! The living room was spacious and great for the kids the crawl and run around in. We also loved that there is a washer and dryer inside the unit.
We all enjoyed this stay so much and will definitely be considering ot whenever we come back to the island!

We had a nice visit and enjoyed the views with another couple exploring the area. Be aware that you need to bring all personal care items. There was no shampoo conditioner lotion or tissues provided.
The kitchen is equipped with plenty of cooking equipment. Parking can be difficult on the street. Garage parking is available for $50 a day. Overall we had a nice stay.

The two bedroom suite on the 21st floor was a beautiful place It was spacious, with beautiful views from its 3 balconies. We cooked in the kitchen which was well equipped. A washer and dryer in a separate washroom made it easy to keep plenty of clothes clean after being at the beach day after day. Two separate full baths made it easier to get ready in the morning.

The Wyndham Royal Garden is a beautiful building and perfectly located to walk or drive virtually anywhere. The apartment was exactly as represented. I would stay here again if the need arose. Highly recommend this property to others. Not sure it's a great place for small children. In fact I didn't see any small children on the property.

- The location was fantastic - it's a short 10 minute walk to Waikiki Beach and the shops on Kalakaua, yet far enough away that you're not embedded in the bustle. Getting to places on Oahu will always take some time, but this allows you access in <30 minutes to downtown Honolulu, Pearl Harbor and Hanauma Bay.

My family and I enjoyed our visit to Hawaii. This rental was PERFECTLY located to walk to all the shopping and restaurants, morning coffee strolls, and not far of a walk to the beach. The in unit laundry appliances were convenient. The bathrooms were set up nicely so everyone could have privacy and get ready for the day/evening without tripping over one another. The balconies and views were beautiful - since it is on the 21st floor, you can watch sunrise or sunset from the unit. The staff for valet or security were all very friendly. The vrbo host was quick to respond to questions. We enjoyed every minute.

This was a very comfortable condo within walking distance to the shopping/dining strip and beach. Both bedrooms were huge, providing plenty of space for our family of 5. Very clean. We were able to pack lighter knowing we had access to washer/dryer in the unit. Each room had it's own remote control AC unit, which is awesome for more hot/humid days. The property manager was very communicative and provided very detailed emails with instructions on check-in/check-out procedures. Front desk staff friendly. The only minor drawback, which wouldn't necessarily deter me from staying here again, but is something to be aware of, is the housing across the street and few properties over are pretty run-down, kind of like lower income apartments. Also would have been just that much nicer if bath towels and pillows were refreshed more often. Both were pretty worn, with bed pillows being flat and lost of fluffiness.

I have been to Waikiki several times and this place was not ideal location. The description said ocean view and that is deceiving. If you look between several buildings you can see partial view. It is not convenient to go to the main strip. Not a quick walk. We got this vs hotel for the kitchen and it was not equipped and will stay closer to the ocean and forgo the kitchen next time. Parking was expensive but the staff was super nice and pleasant. The pool was also lacking.

The pictures and description do not do this apartment justice. It is a corner unit on the upper floors with panoramic views and lanais on both sides. But the inside is great- two very large bedrooms with ensuites each; large living space with a small but functional kitchen, and for those in need, washing machine and dryer in the unit! Easy to walk to waikiki- 10min max (strolling), with a bici hub right out front. Easy to get in and out of town with the location right next to Ala Wai/Canal road. Definitely recommend!

The unit itself was nice and spacious. Views from 21st floor were extremely good towards ocean and the mountains/hills looking inland. Valet parking at unit was $38/night (cash). As others stated and is listed in documents/communications sent after you reserve, that you need to provide your own toiletries (there’s an ABC store at end of block). My only knock on the place is that it is just on the edge of what I’d consider the happening or go to spots in Waikiki. But they are still in walking distance. Communications with host were very good. I’d consider this again based on price and condition of the unit.

My family and I stayed here for spring break. The pictures are accurate on the space but the views from the lanais are so much better than can be captured in a photo. If you are in good health, this location is perfect. Walking distance to Waikiki beach, shopping, and amazing restaurants. The check in process was very easy and the staff was excellent to us, even though we were guests at the hotel. We alternated between the beach and swimming pool and lived BBQing in the pool area. There were 6 of us staying here and we had all the space we could need. The rooms were a good size. The only downside if you are a cooking family is that the kitchen is small and hard to maneuver. However, we loved the large/standard size appliances. Unless you are planning to explore the island, you probably don’t need a car. Parking around Waikiki is hard to come by.

The apartment is a huge 2 bed/2 bath in a great location about 15 min walk to beach or $10 Uber. Spotlessly clean, easy check in and communication with property agents. Beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards provided. Really comfortable beds and washing machine and dryer in the apartment was really handy. The only suggestion to make it a 5 star experience - replace hand towels (only 1 thread bare hand towel in each bathroom but plenty of bath towels) and provide starter pack of dishwasher liquid, laundry detergent. A small body wash, shampoo, conditioner etc would also have been appreciated. The lack of these items didn’t spoil our stay in anyway and we highly recommend this apartment.

Great location and very spacious with awesome views. Would have given 5 stars except there were so many missing items. Not even salt and pepper. No extra paper towels, laundry soap, dishwasher soap. Only one kitchen towel, no wash cloths. No cereal bowls and very few cooking items such as pots and pans, containers, etc. Not even plastic wrap or foil. If you plan on doing any cooking you will be going to the store for more then just food.
Other then the many missing basic items, the property was nice and spacious with views in every direction.

4.5 rating. Wonderful location and very clean. A few additional items would have made this a 5 star rental: In kitchen, deeper cereal bowls, additional large glasses. In bedroom with 2 double beds, a couple of additional pillows (and a couple of thicker ones in both bedrooms as mattresses were a bit hard and more pillows would help). 2 actual bath towels (rather than thin beach towels) in guest bathroom. Overall, wonderful rental… just a few suggestions.

We thoroughly enjoyed the VRBO location. Awesome views of the ocean, little ABC store a brief stroll away, the kitchen and all the amenities were perfect. There for a wedding and vacation, we were able to walk to everything, and when something was not in Waikiki, we called ride share who took us everywhere, and knew just where we were. We tried everything we could (pool, billiards and game room, in-room activities). Sitting on the lanais (3 of them!) and watching the sun rise, sunset, and the city lights come alive below us was a wonderful daily ritual. Ahead of our trip, the Host answered my many questions, and put us all at ease. We grabbed King Cab from the airport (shuttle), including getting leis which started the trip off just right! If you're looking for a great spot in Waikiki, look no further!!

One room had a busted AC. The kitchen left a lot to be desired in terms of utensils and general items one should stock for a rental. The bathrooms are really quite odd unless you enjoy looking at someone through a tiny window into your room while you do your business.

Whenever I travel for vacation, one of the most important things is a nice place to stay. The place I stay can either help me enjoy my vacation more or put a dent into it. This place definitely was a place that increased my excitement while in Hawaii. It was beautiful, spacious, and (most importantly to me) clean! The beds are comfortable, the showers have great shower heads, and each bathroom has its own set of Bidet Toilet Seats. The owner also provided some beach mats and a boogie board for a relaxing and playful day at the beach. The wifi in the building is usable, but you are in Hawaii.... you will find yourself not needing it as much you think since you will spend most of your day outside.
The building is located in a nice and quiet area surrounded by tons of convenient stores. It is walking distance to Waikiki beach (as well as some other smaller beaches) and walking distance to the shopping strip. I would definitely come back to this place.

This is my first time coming to Hawaii with my very pregnant wife and my toddler. It is one of our memorable family holidays. It is child-friendly. Our stroller had easy access through the side entrance, elevator, and the apartment unit. The apartment was built in 1977, but it was so well-maintained that it does not look dated at all. The Unit itself is immaculately clean and neat. I love especially the hardwood floor since I am quite allergic to carpet. Each room has its own toilet, and the toilet bowls have wash-lets to make sure your seat is warm every time and you can gently clean yourself after nature call. Overall, the unit is quite spacious and uncluttered, my toddler is able to roam around freely. In terms of view, you are able to experience the beautiful sunset.
The negative side is that parking cost $32. But if you don’t mind walking 45 sec across the street to Ala Wai Blvd, it is not too difficult to find a parking space, except Friday night. Personally, I don’t recommend renting a car, because it only cost $10 per person using a shuttle from HNL to this Apartment. Uber is fairly cheap. Waikiki Beach, Convenient stores, and various cafes are within walking distance. And one recommendation, if you still need a car, is that you can walk a couple blocks to rent a car with Avis with an average cost of $20/day.
Lastly, try using the Concierge. They have been helpful in giving us recommendations, and even good deals. We noticed we had better deals in comparison to other people.

Very clean condo, suited the 6 of us very well over 8 days. It's on the 21st floor and has an amazing view of the river, Diamond Head & Waikiki Beach. Perfect view of the sunrise! There's an in-room washer & dryer which was very convienent. The hotel is in a great location, only a few blocks from Waikiki Beach (about 10min) which was great because it took us away from the crowds. We would definitely love to stay here again!
