We can’t say enough good things about this property. Our unit had absolutely everything we needed. When we arrived, we called to say we needed sheets for the sofa bed. Someone quickly responded and brought what we needed. The location was amazing. It was a 1 minute walk to beautiful Kihei beach.

As soon as we arrived, I understood why this property has so many glowing reviews. First of all, it was spotlessly clean — something I always appreciate. Then there’s the view: waking up in the master bedroom to the sight of the ocean, palm trees, and crashing waves is just magical. You can watch the sunset right from your balcony, stroll across the street to the grassy area by the beach, or walk down to the sand for an effortless sunset experience — absolutely stunning.The location is perfect: walking distance to an ABC store, great restaurants, snorkel rentals, and more. The unit is also incredibly well-stocked — dishwasher, washer and dryer, two coffee makers, towels, beach chairs — it truly feels like someone thoughtful prepared this place with everything you might need.

The apartment it is only half a block from the Kamaole Beach I, a very quiet and nice beach. It is full equiped and clean, giving the ability to cook whatever you want. Washer and dryer are a plus.
The lanai (balcony) has awesome views to the beach. It is even better than the pictures.
The parking space isn't too wide, but we could park our SUV with no major difficulties.
It have some minor details, like a noise some of the lanai courtines make, or some issues with the microwave that are easy to fix. Other than that, 100% reccomended.

I stayed at the rental with my 2 children in their 20's. The location was perfect as it was a few minutes walk to the beach. It was very close to our snorkel tour for Molokini Crater also. I wish there were more detailed instructions on how to run the AC. Instructions in the unit were vague and it was not a thermostat like a home with central air would have. We split our time between the condo and a resort in Kaanapali. Would stay at the condo again!

This was the perfect spot for our family. We enjoyed the views from the lanai and king size bed.
Everything was super simple, and a breeze. My only complaint was the firmness of the king bed. But that is just preference so I really don’t have anything negative to say.

We LOVED this place! The beach is just steps away and there was so much local food available. The only thing I might change about this place is the timer on the air-conditioning. It got a little warm at times but you can't beat that view.

The condo was perfect for a family. We had 2 adults, 2 teenage girls, and 9 year old boy. The pull out couch worked great for the 9 year old. Having 2 bathrooms was also very helpful.
We used the kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher) often. We tried to save money by doing breakfast in the condo, packing snacks for the beach/outings, and doing a couple dinners at home. Eating dinner at the condo meant we went out for gelato. 😀
The location was perfect. Less than a five minute walk to the beach meant it was easy to haul the provided beach chairs, umbrella, and towels. There was also an insulated cooler and shade tent that we didn’t use but great that they are available. Watching the sun set every day from the 4th story balcony was amazing. The photos of the balacony are accurate. It made me very happy to have a cup of coffee/tea in the morning on the balcony looking at the ocean.
We were also very happy staying in Kihei. It was easy to get to Wailea, upcountry, and the north shore.
Overall the place was amazing. The building itself is a little old and the washer/dryer within the unit are dated (pull out knobs to start the machine). Not a big deal as it worked just fine. We would happily come back!

This place is perfect! From drinking coffee on the lanai every morning listening to the waves, to the easy walk to the beach. We so enjoyed our stay here! Beds were comfy. Neighborhood was quiet yet had everything you could need a walk away. It was very convenient having a washer and dryer in the apartment too. Thanks again for sharing such a great place!

Everything was good. Unit floors were filthy when we moved in. We tried to clean ourselves but there is no proper cleaning tools in unit. Ended up getting a mid clean after 2 weeks which we paid for out of pocket. We specifically asked for them to pay attention to floor and it was way better.Unit could use some painting in bathrooms. Living room / dining room chairs fabric liners are disintegrating and falling all over the floor

The panoramic view from the balcony was the best part. Many great places to eat in close proximity as well. The beach was right across the street making it very convenient to grab a coffee and treat from the Maui bread co. And walk along the ocean for early morning bliss. I highly recommend staying here.

Meters away from the beach where you can snorkel. I saw fishes, turtles and even a ray right there in front of the apartment.
The apartment itself is perfect. Well equipped, comfy beds, great internet.
Lots of rules at the pool to insure there is no party there but it is al little “over the top” (no noodles in the pool, really!?)
Just cooking on the rooftop bbq with the sunset was worth it.

Very much worth the stay. Literally had everything we needed from supplies to the beach, full pantry of odds and ins that came in handy, very clean, wonderful views, convenient to everything you need. We have vacationed at the KBR for 30 years,the facility is alwaysgreat,Bob he on site mgr is great.Our unit 410 is nice but for a stay of more than 30 days is not well equipped,no extra bedding,lack of clothing hangers,cleaning supplies etc,and we are booked for 33 days in 2024.Since we are living there for an extended time we would like to mop the floor,also a vanity may in the wash rooms would be a side note,I know Maui rentals is in the plaza next door,the night watch man using a leaf blower at 1:30 am must be against a noise ordinance,we it experieced that over 8 nights,he usually starts at 5:30 am which is very annoying as well.

The master bedroom was amazing and if you left the sliding door open, the sounds of the ocean lulled you to sleep. Only issue we had was the shower head holder in the master bath was broken and kept falling off which made it difficult to take a shower. Hopefully that's fixed soon. The property was exactly as advertised. The second bath and bedroom are a bit small, but the rest of the unit is spacious with a huge master bedroom, bathroom and lanai. Check-in was easy, parking is easy and the location is perfect, close to lots of amenities and steps from the beach. And of course the view from the unit is amazing, we sat on the lanai for hours enjoying it!

The property was very nice, but we had several issues inside the condo. The A/c could not cool the unit even with all of the fans going. The refrigerator was extremely noisy . The TV had a sound issue and the remote would not work for the channels at times. We reported all of these issues to the owner. The property manager called. He stated that he could not look at the refrigerator until Monday. This was Saturday and we were leaving Tuesday. He then came over (we were not there) and said that the AC was not big enough to cool the whole unit, the refrigerator was fine and he would send a tech for the TV.. We reported the refrigerator again. The tech found that the sound bar was not working and removed it. There were 3 different remotes for the TV and we could not figure out how to get the local channels. The repairman for the refrigerator came on Monday and found that frozen ice was in the way of the fan. He fixed the refrigerator.
The AC compressor is on the lanai and blew hot air on the single pane glass door. The unit was not comfortable for the hot weather.
We never did get the TV to work properly and the refrigerator was fixed the day before we checked out.
It was an experience that we have not had in renting other vrbo’s.
We had lived in Hawaii for over 49 years and were never uncomfortable in the heat.
I leave this review not because it will help me but hopefully those we come after us.
I want to commend Michelle Olsen. She called us as soon as we left the message on the phone. J.R was condescending and not a good representative of management.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kihei. The condo was very clean and provided everything we needed. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens I have ever experienced in a rental property. The owners also provided a good selection of boogie boards, beach chairs and towels which was so helpful for our trips to Kamaole beach across the street.
We felt that the location was very central to everything we wanted to do from
Hana to West Maui. There was a great selection of restaurants in the surrounding area.
Kamaole beach is a great beach and provides amazing waves for boogie boarding in the afternoon. We would come back anytime!

We chose this property as it was a short stay and we didn’t want to rent a car. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do - short walks and sitting next to the water. (Although, the view is so spectacular you don’t even have to walk across the street to the beach) There were three of us and the layout of the condo was perfect. It is a quiet complex and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. I ended up needing to work while we were there and the internet was great for my zooms. It was a wonderful stay!

We've stayed at KBR a few times over the years and this time returned with our two teen boys for our 20th anniversary celebration, postponed from last year during COVID. This condo was perfect, just what we needed for our 12-day stay. We loved watching the sunset while sipping rum and pineapple from the double lanai, watching the coconut tree cutters outside our window, hearing the roosters crow in the morning (and all day), gazing at the blue horizon and feeling the buzz of Kihei in the evening. The beds = very comfortable. The fans all gave a nice breeze. The back bedroom for our boys got wonderfully chilly with the AC, perfect for sleeping. The master bedroom could have been a bit cooler for sleeping, even with the main AC unit and fan on. The kitchen was very well-appointed - basic pantry items like spices and pancake mix were appreciated. Only thing we could have used was chopsticks! The TV was great but the instructions for connecting to basic cable did not work for us so we used our Roku instead. Bathrooms/showers were wonderful and loved the big, fluffy towels. Wood floors meant it was easy to sweep the sand out. Boogie boards = well-used, every day. Drying rack was great for clothes but perhaps you could add clips since they wanted to blow away. Indoor/outdoor furniture comfortable although perhaps another small sofa for lounging would be nice. Shades on the lanai were great to block the afternoon sun, which made it a bit hotter inside. We went upstairs to grill a couple of times - easy and convenient. The elevator was out during our stay so that gave us lots of extra exercise on the stairs. We went to the pool a couple of times - clean and safe and refreshing. The best part of this condo is the location - absolutely unbeatable in Kihei, around the corner from ABC Store (our favorite spot for all groceries and spam musubi) and across the way from some of our favorite takeout spots, Maui Fish n Chips and Maui Tacos. Also, don't tell anyone but the best snorkeling spot on the island is across from our condo right at Kamaole I, just to the left of the lava rocks. Swim for just a few minutes and you'll see more turtles than you can count, wonderfully accessible and easier to get to than other famous spots on the island. Thank you KBR for an amazing stay!

We did a lot of beach combing, cruising around to Lahaina a couple times for food, the aquarium (the 3D dome was AWESOME) & a luau (Sugar Beach). Stop by Hula Cookies, friends from Alaska, best cookies & ice cream! We went up to the Haleakala (take a jacket, it's windy)& drove some of the Hana Hwy, checked out some falls & the Garden of Eden Arboretum. Got awesome tattoos at Rootz Tattoo in Kihei & bought some awesome hammocks from Hangloose Hammocks in Lahaina. Highly recommend Fat Daddy's Smokehouse! And look into reservations early for all restaurants. Lastly, we took a helo tour with Maverick Helicopters.....simply amazing!! :D The only slight issue we had, was no parking available when we got in (kinda late), so we had no choice but to park in the carport area, fixed the issue the next morning. We were there in May, everything shut down by 9pm & I'm a night owl, but it's all good, still beautiful and amazing. :) The ABC Store below the condo was very handy to have really close by. We did burn the **** out of ourselves on the beach the first day (we'll never learn), should have used the umbrellas provided in the condo. We are very happy with our decision to stay here. :)

Minutes to the Kamaole 1 beach which was a great little beach with lifeguard station and after beach shower! Condo was so well stocked with beach gear, towels, spices, coffee pot and filters, etc. The view is amazing and the floor to ceiling windows in the family room and master make for incredible views all day.
The A/C in August had a hard time keeping it cool for the shared family room/master space but we learned to shut the sliding doors and also lower the outdoor blinds to keep the afternoon sun from heating things up too much and then opened them all up as soon as the sun set. Second bedroom has individual A/C and was nice and cool. Lots of ceiling fans through the unit though. We would stay again in a heartbeat though!

The photos and description of the listing matched the home. Great view of Kamaole Beach I, and was walking distance from the beach (truly worth it!!). Well-equipped with beach equipment (4 chairs, 2 umbrellas, boogie boards). Well-equipped kitchen for cooking.
Great location-Walking distance to multiple coffee shops and restaurants.
AC could have been stronger but was sufficient for February. However, I might be concerned during summer.
Great rooftop with outdoor grills, and area to watch both the sunrise and sunset.
Rental is west facing – you get amazing sunset views from the unit.
Plenty of space to unpack, and leave luggage open on the floor. If you’re staying longer, there was plenty of space to hang clothes.
Beds were comfortable.
Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this location!

My friends and I stayed here for my birthday week. I loved the location of the property. One of the best beaches was just across the street from us. A lot of good food joints in the area and souvenir shopping. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would hope to come back again! Thank you!!

The view from the condo is unreal; the location is perfect with a one minute walk to one of the best beaches in Maui. Place was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. If I return to Maui, then I must stay here again!

The Kamaole Beach Royale is a super quiet, clean building tucked into the heart of Kihei. We loved our spacious two bedroom condo and the kids loved the small but super nice pool area. Sunsets were amazing from the 4th floor or the rooftop! We were well taken care of by the staff at Maui Rentals, 410 was clean and super well stocked, had everything we needed to cook a lovely Christmas dinner.

Nice view from patio. Thought unit could have been stocked a bit more for laundry pods, dishwashing pods, bath soap, and toilet paper, and a box of tissues. Needed o call management for floor cleaning, but they responded the next day to take care of it. Had a great time and would rebook again.
