Shelly's condo is amazing and exactly as shown on VRBO. She is super responsive and made the entire trip easy. Great information to local activities and it is the perfect location for relaxation and fun. The area is being rebuilt from the fires, but this location is away from the main destruction. Most of the local community is very receptive to the tourist returning. Everyone we encountered was amazing.

We would highly recommend this listing to anyone wanting to visit Maui. Shelly provided so much helpful information/local recommendations prior to our arrival and was a great communicator throughout our stay. Her condo is gorgeous and there is nothing like the early morning or sunset views from her lanai. Shelly's listing provided everything we needed without looking cluttered. The pools, Duke's restaurant, and proximity to the ocean also helped to make great memories during our stay.

My family of 5 stayed here over the July 4th weekend and it was a great stay. The property is well appointed as described, clean, and in great location. There are a multitude of high quality beach accessories in condo as well as some essentials in the kitchen left by the owner and previous guests. The Honua Kai is a beautiful resort and I would highly recommend staying at this property and this condo specifically.

When we arrived the check-in process was so easy. Very prompt and courteous. Once we arrived in our room we were more than impressed. Had just about everything in the condo that you could think of. The view on the Lanai were spectacular. Pools were very nice. Lot's of seating around the pools. Rented a cabana one day and that was very nice. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to all my friends and family.

Shelly is truly an amazing landlord. She provided us with detailed information regarding what to expect when we arrive, where to eat and shop. She also provided us with details about the condo and arrival instructions. Her notes were very detailed and very helpful and made our stay so much more enjoyable.
We all had a wonderful time. Her condo is beautiful.
Very clean and tastefully presented. The condo looks exactly like the pictures. The furniture is new and the beds were wonderful.
Shelly always made herself available to us to answer any questions we had and she replied back very quickly. As an added bonus, she gave us access to her pantry which has a variety of spices that made eating in very pleasurable.
We would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone. You will have a great stay and will not be disappointed.

My family of six had a great time in this condo. It is very clean and well-stocked. The views are gorgeous (we saw so many whales from the balcony we stopped counting!). Check in was easy and communication with the owner was very informative. The location is very convenient to Lahaina. We would definitely recommend this condo!

We stayed here with a family of 6 including a toddler. The condo has a beautiful lanai with a great view of the ocean. The beach is just 5 minutes away and there are several nice pools available in case the waves are too big for any small children. The beach has nice snorkeling spots just right off the coast. There are some big rocks at parts though which makes it harder to just walk around in the water. Further down the beach there are fewer rocks. The condo is outfitted with anything you could need including multiple sets of snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, inner tubes, coolers, boogie boards, and more.
There were many nice touches as well such as some snacks and cookies as a welcome gift which were much appreciated.
I would definitely stay here again in the future.

It truly doesn't get much better than this! The condo was perfect for us, and it was just as pictured. We watched whales from the patio every single day. Opening the large glass doors for open-air living was great. The parking garage was so convenient and Shelly's amazing visitor notes and dining recommendations were game-changing. We Loved It!

Property was excellent, we have stayed at the resort before but this unit is great as Shelly has stocked the unit with all the things you will need for beach from chairs to sand toys and more. I appreciated kitchen items that were also stocked as well. Great view from lanai.

Shelly is absolutely a dream to deal with! I had travel issues and she was the easiest person to communicate with and so accommodating. The property is gorgeous and stocked with any and everything you could ask for. I have stayed in vrbo rentals for years and I have never seen one with everything that was provided here. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay in Maui!

This unit had a lanai with an amazing view of the ocean and the inner courtyard swimming pool. This was the ideal stay, to have breakfast on the lanai in the shade. On the 7th floor we were able to see whales breaching . This place is awesome.

This place was simply beautiful. Shelly was a very accommodating and communicative host. Location was perfect and we could keep an eye on our older kids at the pool from the lanai. This place was equipped with everything - shampoo, soap, detergent, coffee, snacks, pool and beach toys. We would book again in a heartbeat!

The apartment was perfect for our stay, being top floor it was very quiet & private.
The views from the lanai are lovely & you can see some special Maui sunsets from right there.
The whole resort was very well maintained & has great pools. It is very family orientated with lots of young children - but also a quiet pool for those of us not travelling with young ones. We enjoyed our stay very much & thank you to Shelly, communication was excellent all the way through. We would definitely return if we are lucky enough to come back to Maui,

Amazing location! Beautiful view, lots of shade. No direct sun. The unit was fantastic with lots of the things that are a pain to bring along like beach stuff (umbrellas, roller ice chest, chairs, sand toys, ect) and baby stuff like a bumpo seat and pack n play. There was even blue ice in the freezer with several soft sided ice chests. Love the backpack cold bag! And… the AC works VERY well. Thank you Shelly! We loved our stay🥰

We really enjoyed this fabulous and well appointed property. Our party of five, which included two children and grandma, had a blast. Obviously the resort is amazing (the beach is not super swimable though), but kudos to this unit for its wonderful position, easy to the elevator for parking and pool, but not close to anything to hear the noise of it. And the pictures don’t do Justice to the view. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Gorgeous view in amazing loungers on the Lanai was the highlight of this place. Very nice, modern with comfortable beds, great bathrooms, and perfect seating areas for eating or relaxing. Extremely well stocked with 6 beach chairs, boogie boards, beach stuff etc along with everything you need in the kitchen. Owner was very easy to deal with and even checked in with an email to ensure everything was good. The resort itself was amazing for our 11 and 14 year old boys. They loved the pools, water slide, hot tubs, and playing football in the courtyard or the green space between the pool and beach. The beach is steps away and is very nice as well along with Duke’s restaurant with amazing ocean views. We’ve stayed many places in Hawaii and this was the best!

We have been to Maui five times over the years. This property is by far our favorite.
Clean, air conditioned, fully-stocked, beach and pool views--my favorite was the shaded lanai which was comfortable at all times of the day.

We’ve stayed in Maui multiple times. But we said this one was the very best. Shelly is a five star host. Residence has EVERYTHING. Loved all the beach equipment she shares, kitchen has all the cooking gear you need. Very very spacious-so much larger than others. Lanai doors open to make the inside the outside so there is even more living space. This place is very quiet. You can’t hear the neighbors. We loved it. Will come back.

This property was perfect. Nice big lanai with beach and pool view. We were there in January and could see plenty of whale activity right from the room! Plenty of pool space and direct beach access. The Duke’s restaurant is good and conveniently right on the property. Check out the food trucks a short drive or even walk away. Would definitely stay here again!

This condo is amazing! It has a great layout, is perfectly appointed, and has a perfect location. The bedrooms are on either side of the property for privacy and each has its own bathroom. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking. And the condo location is on the shade side of the building so the balcony is not blasted by the sun. Guests can comfortably sit out all day. Shelly, the owner, provides an amazing array of pool and beach toys for her guests' use. They include folding chairs, boogie boards, swim fins, masks, snorkels, water shoes, pool noodles, inflatable donuts, and more. She also provides numerous games and playing cards for her guests. We laughed ourselves silly playing Relative Insanity. There are also video games but I'm not a video game player. There is an amazing restaurant on the property called Dukes which is popular and can take time to get a table but one can also order off the same menu for take out and eat on the condo's balcony which we did. There's also a great coffee shop in the building when one doesn't feel like making their own coffee on Shelly's very cool Keurig/coffee pot combo coffee machine. There are a variety of pools on the property with various features for different experiences, i.e. waterfalls, a slide, hot tubs, etc. I like the condo's location to the main pool because I like doing laps in the morning when the pool isn't busy. It was fabulous and warm enough to just step in. The ocean is perhaps 100 steps from the pool with a very long sandy beach for peaceful, meditative walks or a morning jog. In the mornings we turned right after entering the beach to watch sea turtles bob in the surf a mere twenty feet from the water break. And of course we saw whale spouts and whale breaches and tail and fin slaps from the condo's balcony. I cannot impress enough upon the reader how wonderful our stay was. I can only suggest that you stay at this condo and experience Maui's and Shelly's aloha spirit.

What an amazing property. The furnishings are clean and modern, the kitchen is great, the lanai is where its at. Open the full length sliding window to the lanai and the indoors and outdoors combine into one.
The closets are abundantly stocked with new and functional beach gear. Usually when you rent a place you get all the owners half broken gear. Thats not the case here.
Parking is easy, the elevators are easy, and access to the pool and dukes beverages are easy.

We had a fabulous visit to this condo. Grandparents, parents and teenagers all slept well using the 2 king beds and the pull out sofa. The unit was very well equipped. All appliances were functioning well. When we had a small question the owner, Shelley, was very quick to respond. There were plenty of sand chairs and good boogie boards available for out group. We would definitely book this unit again.

We were blown away by this unit and resort. The condo was equipped with everything you need and more! So many beach toys and chairs, boogies boards, snorkel stuff, floats..! The kids loved all the resort pools and hot tubs.. this place was better than we could have imagined. We had great views of the pools and ocean from the balcony and loved having the doors open. Shelly was the absolute best host we could ever ask for, so many great tips on things to do and places to eat. She was very accomidating for us to get an earlier check in time which was so greatly appreciated. Thank you Shelly for making this such a great trip, nothing better than when you work hard to save up for a family trip and it more than exceeds your expectations! You will not be disappointed here :)

Beautiful condo on a great property with a fantastic view! The unit was clean and well-appointed, had all basic kitchen utensils and accessories. Clean rooms and furniture. We were very comfortable on our short (2 night stay). Shelly was very informative and gave incredibly detailed instructions that we didn't know we'd need, but they came in handy. We absolutely loved our stay in this condo and cannot say enough good things about it. Shelly was very communicative, so welcoming and accomodating. The views are breathtaking and the location was amazing. It was close to the side elevator for easy pool and beach access. The condo had everything we needed, the kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were so comfortable, and it was so nice to be able to use the pool and beach gear provided. We loved calling Shelly's place home for a week and it was perfect for our family of four, with room to add more people if needed. We loved her recommendations for restaurants and places to check out. There was even a "Maui Revealed" book that we used to plan our adventures around the island. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back in the future! Mahalo Shelly!
