Our four-day stay in this remarkable unit in Princeville left us speechless. The entire north shore area, including Princeville, has an awe-inspiring charm that simply mesmerized us. Every morning, we woke up to breathtaking views that felt like a glimpse of paradise itself. Warning: it's highly unlikely you'll find any other place as enchanting after experiencing this heavenly abode.The apartment rental was perfectly suited to our needs, allowing ample natural light and refreshing ocean breezes to flow through. It created an ambiance that instantly put us at ease. In fact, we haven't had such restful nights of sleep in ages. The comfortable beds and tranquil surroundings ensured we felt rejuvenated each morning.A special mention goes to Laurie, the property manager, whose kindness and helpfulness made our stay even more enjoyable. Her attentive care and assistance added a personal touch that made us feel truly valued as guests. We are already eagerly counting down the days until we can return to this delightful unit.Overall, our time in Princeville was nothing short of magical. The view was amazing. The building itself could use some renovations but offers everything you need. The biggest complaint was that the patio set was rickety and old as was the screen door to get out to the patio. We spent a lot of time on the patio so I feel that these two items could go along way toward a more enjoyable stay if they were replaced. Otherwise the location is great for activities on both the north and east side.

The ocean view was as advertised! It is spectacular. The buildings themselves look like they need updating which is fine overall but it was the very rickety patio furniture and the broken screen door that were unnecessary. Both could have been easily replaced and it would have made such a difference on my thoughts on the place. The patio was the best thing about the place and yet the screen door to get out there was broken and the patio table and chairs looked like they had seriously seen better days. Everything else was great!

First impression was not favorable. The unit quite dated with Burgundy carpet and walls needing painting. The location was excellent and the unit had everything one would need to come home to. As our stay proceeded we grew more comfortable with the condo and it grew on us. Easy drive to the food mart and a beautiful view east and west for sunrise and sundown. Really appreciated having the beach chairs for a day of hanging and snorkeling.

This place was lovely in many ways, but a few things you should know before booking!
The great: location and neighborhood- absolutely stunning and amazing location to explore the North Shore. Princeville is a dream! The drive to Hanalei was also incredible and something I will never forget. The view - sunrises here are magical. Lastly, there was plenty of space for 2 people. I loved the layout of the unit!
The not so great: nothing anyone hasn’t stated. But just know this isn’t a super updated unit, so don’t expect that! Secondly, I visited in March and the lack of ac was even tough then. Lastly and my biggest piece of feedback (that can be fixed): the mattress was uncomfortable and made it hard to sleep. The sheets and the pillows were also very cheap feeling and didn’t make it easy to get a good rest.
All in all a great stay and worth it for the location and the view, but we couldn’t have stayed for more than a few days.

its a great location but it is not as it appears. They should provide a jpeg picture you can zoom in on. it is very dated. they have up dated the floor covering, tile and carpet. they have old kitchen bath, and the bed is firm!management calls it rustic but it is rusted also know there is no pool, no hot tub, no air which could be an issue when humify is high we stayed in march, the weather sucked. 12 days of high sit on the beach and drink until the place closes at 6 with no pool and hot tub. also know they were working on the next unit not an issue but they make an issue with noise. well I could hear through the walls and sound proofing is not there and their notice of pending fines was not well received by me. you do ge a view but its not 5 star maybe in West Virginia.

The ocean views are amazing (the pictures look fake, but it's for real!). Sealodge is quiet and easy to get to. The unit itself is a little dated, but everything worked and was very clean. The pool was closed for repairs, but management handled the issue appropriately. It was so nice waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning!

This property offers gorgeous ocean views from bedroom, lanai, and living room. As others have noted, we saw turtles from the lanai. The unit is clean and Kurt right for two adults. It is located at the end of a string of condos, so very quiet. No W/D in the unit; however there is an economical coin operated laundromat (2 washing machines and 2 dryers) on the ground floor of the unit building. A bonus is the path to a secluded beach nearby. The kitchen has cookware and dishes, but only salt and pepper. As noted in other reviews. if you plan on cooking, purchase oil, butter, sugar, etc. One big plus: the price! We found it very enjoyable. If you’re looking for all an updated condo with a king sized bed, this unit is not for you.

Waking up to breathtaking views of the ocean, hearing the ocean waves crash against the shoreline...it was exactly what I needed after days of traveling and airport mishaps. SeaLodge provided everything my partner and I needed. The condo itself was clean and true to the description, which is extremely important to me. The listing boasts great views, but to sit out on the balcony and enjoy a cup of coffee with breakfast or a glass of wine at night, and to see the moon reflecting on the ocean is indescribable. The views are absolutely stunning - 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

While a bit worn and due for some upgrades, it was a very pleasant place to stay and you cannot beat the views. Seriously. We loved sitting on the lanai and just taking it all in. The bed was a little firm for us but that's a personal preference. The kitchen was well appointed but would have been nice to have some spices or oils to cook with. The beach chairs and cooler were very handy to have as well. No A/C but as soon as you get all the windows open and that cross-breeze hits, it turns very pleasant.

Sea Lodge is an older set of condos located at the end of the bluff. The view from the condo is amazing! The unit itself is very clean and well appointed, although a bit worn due to age. Bed is comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, although at times it got a bit warm. Keeping the windows open allows a nice breeze; however a ceiling fan or at even a simple free standing fan in the unit would be a welcome addition.

My husband and I *really* enjoyed this cozy condo right next to the shoreline, the breeze and sounds of the ocean were soooo relaxing! Everything was super-clean and comfortable, the bed was firm, and most everything was well-maintained. The kitchen is fine: plenty of dishes for two but no storage containers and no staples like spices or oils – this was not an issue for us as we ate lightly and went out for dinner most of the time. The small pool was lovely and you can hike a trail to a quiet beach. Lori with Princeville Vacations was very communicative and helpful with links about things to do, road closures, reminders, etc. The beauty of a third-floor condo is the view and the privacy, and be aware that you’re schlepping your (giant, overpacked, like mine?) suitcase along a hilly sidewalk and up a flight of stairs (again, not a problem for us.) This is the perfect quiet retreat for one or two people – we will stay here again when we come back!

Couldn’t have asked for a better location! Absolutely spectacular views! The nearby hidden Sea Lodge Beach was a delightful surprise! Tiny little private stretch of sand just a short walk from the condo with amazing snorkeling.
While the condo itself is probably due for some upgrades, it was clean, convenient, comfortable and as expected.

We rented eBikes for a couple of days to get to places where it was hard to find parking and highly recommend. Beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels were handy and we ended up leaving a beach umbrella that we had purchased.

The only thing that was difficult is that A building can be difficult to find, it’s between B and C. We were very tired so I think that’s part of the reason why we got lost haha. The views we’re beautiful and having the ocean right outside your window is amazing. While it’s not the fanciest place it gave me all I would’ve wanted out of a stay for my first time in Hawaii. The beach is hard to get to if you’re not a somewhat experienced hiker, so be aware of that if you’re wanting a beach that’s a short walk, this one is not. We had plenty of towels and linens as well. Again the view makes it all worth it!

This property is comfortable for two people, and it’s two best qualities are the gorgeous ocean views and the central location in Princeville. The interior needs updating but we didn’t mind this so much because of the views/location - beach chairs and a cooler were supplied which was a welcome surprise. We would definitely stay here again!

The perfect North Island base for all your adventures! The view is unbeatable, and the condo was clean and had everything we needed. There were two beach chairs, a large umbrella, and a cooler in the closet, which we made good use of. The development is quiet and well managed. There is no AC, but you shouldn't need it — open the windows and the trade winds will keep you cool and lull you to sleep at night. The WiFi has also been upgraded since our last visit and is now nice and fast. Mahalo A-7 for the wonderful stay!

Fantastic location with easy parking and close to beaches. Very basic with no shampoo or any cooking condiments eg oil were provided which is what is expected in most other self catering apartments. Due to flight restrictions couldn’t take the items that we bought with us. Beach towels, chairs and cooler bag came in very very handy thank you!

Sealodge is perhaps the oldest property in Princeville, so if you are looking for a modern, high polish facility, look elsewhere. But they chose this site for a reason: it has an incredible microclimate (ie less rain, more sun), an incredible oceanfront vista, flow-through ventilation. and is set far from the continuous roar of weed trimmers, mowers, chain saws and blowers that plague Princeville in general. We enjoyed this unit for three weeks and would definitely return. The unit is clean, the bed is excellent, the TV is small, the wifi works well, the toaster is very hard to make work, the pots and pans are excellent, the utensils & flatware are a random Goodwill hodge-podge. Due to the nice airflow, it would be good if the window screens were cleaned regularly; the screens can slide open for an unobscured view. I would not recommend this unit for active children or unsteady adults; it would be very easy to fall out an open window.

And great unobstructed view of the Ocean. Loved the location of Sea Lodge in Princeville. This is a beautiful well kept part of Kauai, High dry and safe. I would stay here again. PS my wife and I get around fine so 3rd level stairs for access with groceries , luggage and supplies was not a problem. Laundry was 1st level below the unit.

The view was everything with this condo. Watching the whales every morning, listening to the beautiful songs of the birds, and the sunrise,sunsets right off this deck is truly amazing. The condo could use a bit of updating but was very clean upon on arrival. The complex it self is vey quite but also could update their barbecue facilities to propane. Booking the condo was very easy thanks to Mandy. She truly made it easy with all the instructions emailed to us prior to our arrival which made the vacation relaxing right from the start.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sealodge A7. It's away from the crowds and allows for great views of the ocean and the storms. We loved the deck at ate meals out there, enjoyed our wine out there. Again this was an excellent visit. I love the location of Sea Lodge A-7. It is one of a kind for the views sights, sounds and smells of the sea and trade winds. The only one so close to the bluff and tree level.

All of the towels and bedding smelled dirty. There was mildew on the base of the shower curtain, and the furniture and appliances were from the 1980s. Also, there were tons of ants eating out of an open box of sugar. I wish we would have stayed at the 1st resort we were at, which was the same price.

Enjoyed our stay and loved the view and sound of the water. Simple but clean and provides most things needed for a comfortable stay. The only thing I felt it needed was an extra blanket as we like a little fresh air coming in at night but the wind makes it quite chilly. We liked the area and found the whole stay very relaxing.

We loved the location, high on bluff, overlooking the ocean from every window. The unit was clean.My only reservation with unit A7 is that the appliances, especially the oven, but also the fridge and the kitchen in general could use a refresh. The furniture, TV, etc is dated as well, but functional. Just don't expect a Marriott.

Perfect rental unit for us. After spending 10 nights in Kapaa/Wailua, we loved having three nights at SeaLodge. The Princeville/Hanalei area (even with the mudslide damages) is so incredibly beautiful it warrants spending a few days there. This unit has fabulous ocean views and a very comfortable setup for 2 people. And steps away from the trail to little SeaLodge Beach. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed a very relaxing 6 day stay at this clean and comfortable condo. Located on the top level of a 3 storey block, it's hard to believe that there's another soul in the world around. The only sounds you'll hear are the waves washing over the fringing reef, the wind and the occasional rooster letting you know he's there. A decent supermarket, a few shops and some restaurants are just a few minutes away in Princeville and the wonderful little town of Hanalei lies just a bit further on. The walking trail to the beach below is quite treacherous, especially after rains. I slipped and almost fell a couple of times before reaching a sign that said 'Extremely dangerous" path to follow. I decided not to proceed, but there are any number of stunningly beautiful, easily accessible beaches just minutes away. Highly recommended!

A7 was "A1" as another guest in the guest log put it. gorgeous view and lovely lanai as pictured. Wife and I weren't crazy about the carpets, but the location and the attentiveness of the Manager made it all worth it. Wouldn't change a thing about our stay, as it was a lovely home to come back to after long hikes, snorkeling, exploring, etc. With so much to do all over the island, we'd stay here again when we come back!

The location and the view from this rental was absolutely perfect! AC was not needed as the ocean breeze took care of that. It was cleaned and stocked with paper goods when we arrived. The condo itself is very basic, and has the minimum of what you might need for your entire stay - we did run out of paper towels and toilet paper before the end of our stay. Also, geckos would get in through the window screens towards the night time, so we kept the windows closed for the most part and had to catch and release a couple. The couch wasn't very comfortable for two people to lounge on, but luckily we really only used the condo to sleep and shower. Overall, it was a great location and had amazing views of the ocean, maybe could use a little bit of updating in the rental itself.

The location was perfect, the giant windows all along the unit gave you a million dollar view. You could easily spend more time staying in than going out like you should because of sitting and watching the ocean from the comfort of the dinner table. The unit when you first arrive is quite stuffy and humid, but once you open up all the windows the beautiful constant breeze cleans up the air and it’s all good. The unit furniture is definitely tired and the apartment could use an update, the balcony was a bit sketchy at first with these faux outdoor tiles that sagged a bit in the middle but I got used to it. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well with the constant breeze and sound of the waves. Lorie was wonderful and very helpful with any questions.We were definitely sad to leave when the time came, would definitely stay again.

The condo is older but very clean and well maintained. The view will keep you coming back. You can view the ocean from the living room, dining room, bedroom and private Lanai. The condo sits on a cliff that overlooks the ocean and the morning sunrises are beautiful. Having morning coffee on the lanai was just fantastic! This year we were able to see whales right from the condo. The bed is very comfy, fans available if you want to use them, but the sound of the ocean waves when you leave the windows open will lull you to sleep! The breeze is soothing. The condo has a nice full kitchen. The restaurants in the area are great if you don't want to cook! Foodland has sushi and good groceries. Several visits to Hanalei gave us a chance to eat at the Hanalei Gourmet Cafe and the Tahiti Nui restaurant, which serve excellent food. The Dolphin's Fish Market is a must for Sushi and seafood chowder to go. The countryside is absolutely beautiful. The location of this condo is perfect. No matter which way you turn on the highway leaving Princeville - you will have great adventures!

This was our first trip to Kauai and we are so glad we chose to stay at Sealodge (Unit A7). We really enjoyed our time there. The views from the unit are first class and it was so comforting to return at the end of a busy day to be greeted to ocean views. The unit is "well loved" however we were aware of the units condition when we reserved and the pictures are an accurate representation of the unit. We had all the amenities that we needed, full kitchen was important to us because we wanted to self cater. There was no air conditioning but that didn't bother us, we opened the windows at night and enjoyed the sounds of the ocean. The temperature inside the unit was always pleasant. Grounds are well manicured. There is a pool and bbq on-site for guest use but we did not use them. There are some full-time residents in this facility and we found the people we encountered to be friendly and pleasant (not sure if they were guests or residents). Lots of parking is available. We always had a place to park. The trail to Sealodge beach is a bit of a trek and could be challenging for small children and those with mobility issues, especially towards the end where is gets rocky but its a pretty beach and not crowded. Management was a pleasure to deal with. Emails were responded to within 24 hours and the driving directions and unit access instructions that were provided were straightforward and easy to follow. The location is perfect to explore the North shore being so close to Hanalei Bay. Nearby Piazza restaurant is fantastic! Great food & service. 5 Star.Based on this experience, we would stay here again if we return to Kauai and specifically request this unit. Loved it!

Loved having an unobstructed view of the ocean with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The location was quiet and provided the opportunity to hike down to the SeaLodge beach. The property is very dated, but very clean. The kitchen is pretty bare - without ice packs or any containers/baggies so if you plan to pack food bring supplies. The bed is very, very firm.

My husband and I loved this peaceful SeaLodge sanctuary, weaving the joys of nature with the comforts of home. This place gave us all we needed, a home base to explore the many adventures beckoning on Kauai’s north shore from Hanakapai to Kilauea, and a respite for relaxation to enjoy the beauty right outside our windows. I loved listening to the sound of the ocean waves through the intermittent waves of sun and wind and rain, melting into rainbows stretching across the endless sky. There were beautiful views from every single window and door. We enjoyed making meals there, as well as having take-out, our own private ocean-view restaurant, especially appreciated when we were not yet ready to linger in restaurants. Lori Patch of Princeville Vacations was very responsive and helpful, and a great communicator. I appreciate all she did that made our stay wonderful. I drank in the fresh clean ocean air and mist. My soul feels quenched but I miss this place already. We will return.

A wonderful condo with a completely unobstructed view of the ocean allowed us to see whales playing, breaching and flipping in the water - right from the lanai! Sea Lodge is in an ideal location in Princeville. This particular condo is adequate for two people and has beautiful views of the ocean. Furnishings are comfortable, but the condo overall needs updating. We were disappointed with how few dishes there were and needed to wash cups, mugs and bowls, for example, a often. People who choose to stay in a condo with kitchen generally plan on eating many meals, so more equipped kitchen would be desirable.
