Spending time on the balcony was the best. You're so close can hear the waves. Everything we needed was provided. There was even folding beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler that came in handy.

We loved this stay in Maui! From our lanai we saw whales multiple times daily, spotted a monk seal twice, watched a fisherman catch an eel, watched a local turtle swim several times and on our last night saw two small (harmless) sharks feet from the beach!The condo was great! Our only suggestion is for new beach chairs. Those provided were rusted and literally broken. We will stay here again!

Lovely unit that is no more than 25 feet from the breakwater. The constant waves breaking against it are soothing and invigorating.The unit is very well appointed with tons of beach equipment. The snorkeling right there is interesting. We saw turtles, and fish, as well as a daily show of tail and fin flaps spouts and several amazing breaches. Would stay again. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Aloha with us!

Decent 1 bedroom condo in a great part of Maui. We have stayed just down the beach at another complex many times when we bring our kids. This unit was a significant savings and suited our needs as a couple. Kitchen was well equipped and you cant beat the view. Great spot to watch the sunset!

The condo was nice with a few exceptions. The mattress on the bed really needs to be replaced. It was so uncomfortable that every morning we had woke up due to back pain. The shower door was obviously broken and replaced with a curtain. not a big deal but deceiving on the photos from website. Not enough containers in the cabinets for food service. The other really bad issue was the kitchen sink when turned on to full was a trickle of water. This made it so difficult to fill the coffee pot or wipe down the counters let alone washing any dishes by hand. We were only given 1 dish towel and wash rag for the whole 10 days. Not enough by any means. Would I stay in this unit again? Maybe if the above items were taken care of.

The unit & location was fantastic for exploring the west/north end of Maui. Very clean unit and great access to many beaches & coves for exploring. Only thing is the building is older, so sound travels from the floor above and neighboring units. Otherwise it was a great stay!

Kahana Reef 221 was our paradise away from home during our stay on Maui. From the moment we saw the ocean view from our lanai, we were thrilled with the condo. The island décor throughout the unit added to the charm, and the full kitchen provided a place to prepare our own meals. We watched whales almost every day from the lanai, and enjoyed the beach and snorkeling in the warm waters. We often saw turtles along the sea wall. We absolutely loved our stay here, and will return again!

Loved the unit, view, access to the ocean and location. So many whales to see from the lanai - plus it's in the shade during the hottest part of the day - a plus for whale watching ( thank you for the use of the binoculars). Absolutely recommend!

Property is quiet with no beach in front of condos. View is phenomenal.
Only glitch is that the pocket door to the bathroom is stuck and does not close. (As you can imagine my wife was not too keen on that)
Other than that, it was a great stay and location on west end of island was great.

Beach gears are provided. This makes it super easy to just go and enjoy the many beaches nearby. Wish more toilet paper was provided.

Overall, a nice place to stay. Beautiful ocean front view of Molokai. No AC, but usually good cross breeze when all door are open and fans are running. Pullout couch was a surprisingly good bed. Nice firm mattress. Good response time from propriety management in response to problems/questions. Unfortunately, the pocket door of bathroom was broken and they ended up putting up a curtain in for privacy. A bit of an inconvenience. Still awaiting a response for our request for compensation. Overall, a nice place to stay.

10 seconds access to the beach, 24/7 ocean waves' soothing sound makes our stays in Maui a miracle. The homeowner and property managers are taking care of every details: including full set kitchen, enough towels, binoculars, bandaids, even Non-Drowsy Naturals Motion Sickness Relief Capsules (although we didn't use it, highly appreciate it). There is a yummy restaurant only 30 seconds away. This makes me stay away from those high end luxury resorts, where beach access is still several minutes away, and food choices are pricy and feels like be prepared by robots, not human. This place is humble, homy, feels like human touches everywhere, not managed by machine!

Absolutely love this property and condo! Our favorite spot was the lanai! The views are magical! Rainbows everyday. Butterflies, whales breaching in the distance, turtles, crabs, a wide variety of birds and fish. The condo area is clean and mostly quiet (few screaming kids) residence are super friendly. I would come back to Kahana Reef every year!

We just spent a week at this beautiful oceanfront condo. Everything was awesome! The check in process was easy, very clear instructions. We enjoy listening to the ocean wave every day! Even though there’s no AC, you don’t really need it bc there’s a constant breeze. Everything you need is in the condo. It’s a great location and close to a lot of great restaurants and nice beaches. We will definitely stay there again!

Definitely will be back for two more weeks next March. Saw over 50 whales from our 2nd story condo one unit from the North end of the building.. The temperature in the 70's all week was awesome. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Unit about 30 feet from the water and the sandy beach.

The view from the deck is everything. Beautiful to eat breakfast out there and start every day that way. Gorgeous views of Molokai and Lanai from the apartment. I chose this part of the island because it’s supposed to be the sunniest and that it was every day. There was a fully stocked kitchen that was so useful for preparing sandwiches or making smoothies. I can see how this part of the island isnt for everyone as it felt a little quieter and not as many facilities (restaurants, etc) but honestly we preferred it this way and were open to driving to places and returning to our quiet spot. The bed was so lovely and comfortable. I used the laundry facilities a couple times which you can download an app to pay for. All just very smooth and easy. Everything was very clean. Spotless but you can tell cuz it’s a hot climTe that you also have to be mindful of leaving food out, etc. We put all our food scraps in a brown bag in the freezer and put food we would normally leave out in the fridge. We did not experience the ant issue people talk about in other reviews. The place was very comfortable honestly I think better than the photos give it credit for. Maui is a gorgeous island and I’m excited for your trip here! 🌺

The location was perfect for our party of two. The condo is a little dated and the carpet flooring is need of a change, but overall the place is delightful. They have all the things one would like to have while visiting Maui, well stocked throughout (beach gear and chairs, binoculars, a couple of beach towels, etc.). However, the second floor lanai steals the show, as the 180 degree views are hard to leave, the sunsets breathtaking. In February / March one can watch for whales for hours, and the local turtles feed on the seawall lichens just feet away. Go, enjoy, and return...

We had a great experience! First of all, you’re right on the ocean. In the living room you can sit and listen to the waves, or sit on the lanai and watch humpback whales during whale season. There’s a small sandy beach only steps away. The snorkeling isn’t as great as nearby beaches, but there is some reef and fish right outside. One night I snorkeled and saw a sea turtle. Only a few miles north is Kapalua Bay, where we saw about 15 turtles while snorkeling over the course of two trips. The building itself is a mix of residents and vacation units. It was really quiet while we were there, although that may depend on other groups renting the other units. Parking is easy, as there were plenty of spots available. The unit was clean, and everything needed for cooking/sleeping/beach was available. We are very happy that we stayed here rather than more expensive resorts down the road. You’re closer to the water, have more space, and easier in/out when you’re heading to the beach. Highly recommended!

We had such a fun time here, the view was gorgeous and the beach was very nice too. We especially liked that this condo was very equipped. There's a lot of beach equipment, kitchen equipment, and bathroom equipment. When we arrived, we looked out the balcony and there was a beautiful rainbow right in front of us. When we left there was also a gorgeous rainbow. My family of 4 had such a pleasant stay, definitely recommend.
