The condo was beautiful, just as the listing shows. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed.
We had breakfast on the lanai every morning, but it was very sunny in the afternoon. That Sun turned into a stunning sunset every evening. We did not find the beach to be rocky, as others stated. Grandkids spent many hours at the pool and slide and had no problem finding a lounge chair. There were food trucks across the street. They were convenient, but the food was not good. We did not rent a car, but found Uber to be quick and easy. Worked great. We had dinner at Hula Grill in Whalers Village. Highly recommend.

We are not Resort people usually, but we chose this condo because it's got the best of the resort offering without the pampering. Snorkel right off the beach, or swim in the uncrowded pools, with waterslide. Lush gardens with koi ponds and plumeria. Complete with a general store that makes coffee in the morning and really yummy guava bread. I couldn't imagine a better stay. The condo is lovely. We were a family with two kids and an Au-Pair and it fit us great. Thank you Farzie!

Excellent accommodations and description was very accurate. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable and place was clean upon arrival. A couple of perks to this place worth noting is condo is great for seeing the sunset as it is close to being an end unit. The other perk is beach chairs and umbrella provided by the unit. Parking was no issue

We spent a week in this beautiful condo in October. It was exactly as described- clean, spacious, and in the perfect location. With 2 master suites the kids had their own space as did my husband and I. We loved the fantastic ocean view and truly being able to hear the waves. The kids loved the included boogie boards and beach chairs. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions. We’d definitely stay here again!

The room was perfect for our family of four. With two small boys under the age of 10, having lots of room inside and on the lanai was incredibly helpful when we came in for a rest from the sun and heat. This resort is so kid-friendly with three pools and easy access to the beach! We’ll be back!

This property was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. It is located in the heart of Kanapali Beach, and is the perfect place to just plug and play with children. Multiple pools, easy (and quick) access to the beach, and 4 miles from Lahaina. This was our family's first trip to Maui, and this property was a big part of making the trip fantastic. The owner was also extremely accessible and responsive. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

From start to finish, we had an amazing stay. The check in process was very simple. The unit and the entire property was clean and well-managed. Great Ocean views, we were able to see very active whales. The pool was excellent, with the convenience of an on-site bar/restaurant and pool service. Farzie was great to work with. Very communicative and easy process all the way through. We can’t wait to come back.

First, the property has great views of the complex and the ocean. We spent most of our time on the lanai. Unfortunately, the unit itself is rather dated and dreary. The couch is old and stained. There is a piece missing on the sink faucet. The mattresses are old. The drain in the master bath does not function (will not stay open to drain). Be mindful--there is a somewhat hidden 3% "processing fee" that is NOT disclosed in the VRBO all-in price but is shown in the contract sent by the property manager.

My best friend and I really enjoyed our stay! The condo is clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Beach chairs were perfect for enjoying the oceanfront!! Great communication with owners!! I was happy that the spa was open. Very nice location, with lots of choices for activities!!

We absolutely loved this property, it was perfect for our family. The views we absolutely amazing. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen stocked with supplies. Walking distance to the beach and the beach chairs and toys supplied were a huge plus! We are looking forward to our next trip!

We had an excellent time during our stay at the Honua Kai, Unit 605, in the Konea building. The location of this room is perfect. With views of the ocean and one of the pool areas, we enjoyed lots of time on the extra large balcony. The room was super clean, and stocked with everything you might need for time on Maui. Four beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, everything you can think of for time on the beach is there. The kitchen is stocked with most supplies you will need for vacation cooking. It is a beautiful unit, so nice and pretty, clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient to everything. There is a small store in the lobby, where they even prepare coffee drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, etc., and they also have toiletries, souvenirs, a small amount of groceries, etc. There is a workout room on the first floor, stocked with lots of equipment. And there is also a full service spa in the lobby. Times Market grocery store is right across the street, within walking distance. And there are food trucks right next door, for that last minute bite. The convenience of parking in the underneath parking garage and hopping on the elevator is unbeatable for convenience. Duke’s Restaurant is right on the property. The walk to the beach is less than five minutes. The miles long boardwalk goes right through the property. The owners of the property are easy to communicate with, very accommodating, and responsive to any concerns we had. I highly recommend the Honua Kai. We would never stay anywhere else. And this unit, being two bedrooms and two bathrooms, is the nicest, most comfortable unit we have stayed in, and we have stayed at the Honua Kai at least ten times.

We had a great time. The condo is all it says it is. Our view was very good and we saw lots of whales. The parking is non existent after 8:30 at night. You have to valet pretty much or get back before that time. Also check in at 4:00 means 4:00 and there was a line of people waiting to get their keys. The overall experience was very good and I highly recommend the Honua Kai.

Beautiful condo and grounds. Really we really joyed being able to go to the beach and snorkel right in front of the condo. Pools were very nice and so were the hot tubs. Excellent view of the ocean.

The unit itself was georgeous, but the overall property is starting to show some problems. The trash chute was malfunctioning causing a horrible smell in some of the hallways. Once in the unit, the views and amenities were great.

Beautiful property with great amenities. My family stayed here for one week, May 17-24, 2019. We enjoyed every moment.
Condo was clean, spacious, and fully equipped. The view from the lanai is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets from the spacious lanai, as well as eating meals on the lanai. The pools and grounds were beautiful. And having Duke's on the property as well a gift shop/cafe was an extra plus. We also appreciated the beach items Farzie provided such as coolers, chairs, and boogie boards.
Farzie was very responsive when contacted. We would definitely return to this resort and book Farzie's condo again.

We really enjoyed our time in Maui. Farzie's condo provides a dramatic view of the ocean and the resort. The pools are fantastic (we hung out there with our girls all day some days) and the water slide was a hit. We ate at Duke's too (had dinner there one night for our anniversary) and it was delicious. An added bonus was the luau that was going on at the beach hotel two doors down (Huaka'i Luau--Journey through Polynesia). We had bought tickets ahead of time, and it was great walking to a delicious luau next door.
The beach was nice, but like many Hawaii beaches was narrow and rife with coral and big rocks in the immediate water, so mom wasn't crazy about our little ones swimming there very much (they might crack their heads!). We were thankful for the many nice pools. The condo itself was nice, a good size for us and with all the necessary accouterments. A couple of times we noticed there was a foul smell emanating through the condo, including when we first arrived, which we could never quite pin down.
The only other complaint I have is the parking. The garage under the complex would usually fill by 8:00, so if you return to the condo from a day out after that time, you (and others) will be driving circles around the facility hoping that someone will pull out. I often had to park in one of the 3-bedroom condo spaces and hope I didn't get in trouble. I believe they weren't enforcing the one car per condo rule, as there were many extended families there. For how much extra we paid for parking, I found this frustrating and unacceptable.
Overall, we felt the price was pretty steep, especially after you also pay the credit card fee, the parking fee, etc. For this stay, I would likely not pay that entire amount again. But it was a beautiful view and a nice stay, and we had a great time in Hawaii.

Nice property, the condo set up is very good for clients that want to do a little cook/BBQ'ing. Concierge people are helpful. a little more attention to detail in the common corridors would be the only area that requires oversight. would definitely recommend this for our adult family of 4 again.
