We greatly enjoyed this condo, the ocean view, proximity to the beach, easy parking, and kitchen/laundry amenities. This unit is very upgraded and modern compared to many others in the complex. A beautiful short walk on the beach to Sugar Beach Bake Shop and Ululani's Shave Ice and ABC Store. Would definitely recommend this excellent condo for couples.

We loved the condo. Very clean and modern. Lots if hooks to hang stuff and even an electric kettle which most rental forget about tea drinkers. Short walk down a beautiful big beach to the farmers market and the best bakery in Kiehi - Sugar Beach Bake Shop. Will stay here again and highly recommend

Everything was perfect! Beautiful views. Great location. We really enjoyed the sandwich shop on the property. Condo was very clean and stocked with everything you may need. Having a washer and dryer was very convenient. 5 stars!

This condo was clean, easy to access, and excellent instructions from host. We had enough basic amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies) to get us through our 6 day stay. Bed was super comfy, and the beach view was perfect. Beach chairs and coolers were great to have close by and use as well! The snow cone place down the street was a perfect beach walk away; and while the beach was beautiful snorkeling conditions here weren’t great (just something to consider if you want to walk out and snorkel). We would totally stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to go back to Maui!

It was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this property. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Unit was clean and well stock with those little things you may forget. It is also located in a central are with lots of things to do/eat close by.

The unit was as described, cute, everything functioned well. There were some beach chairs and a cooler in the closet, as well as beach towels. The condo complex itself was unnotable and unfortunately smelled of garbage, but the landscaping was lovely and full of all sorts of spectacular flowering plants. The complex is located right on Sugar Beach, which is perfect for lazing around, kids playing safely in the water, building sandcastles. There is a lovely view of the bay and islands. If you tire of swimming in the ocean there is a nice little pool and hot tub, and lots of beach chairs for sitting in to look out at the ocean. On site there are a handful of businesses including a nice activity concierge place (where you can research activities and book tickets) and a sandwich shop.
My only negative experience had to do with the property owner, who I felt was unnecessarily unkind when I asked for a full or partial refund. Our visit happened about 10 days after the wildfires that devastated Lahaina, and the Hawaiian government was requesting that people cancel or postpone any unnecessary travel to the island so that infrastructure could focus on response to the fire. But the owner of this condo said he would not give me even a partial refund. I felt that his decision to maintain his regular reservation policy was understandable, but the angry tone with which he lectured me about it was not. Government recommendations changed so we took the trip anyway, and the place was nice.

The condo generally spoken needs some deep cleaning. The decorative pillows, carpet and upholstered furniture are really dirty.
The cleaning crew had passed before our arrival, but the employee had made a quick cleaning, due to, according to him, the late departure of the previous renters. We had to do some cleaning ourselves to make it acceptable for a family with kids. The towels are minimally provided.
The pictures are accurate, but the unit is a bit worn out even if the unit has been updated recently. Overall, it's a great complex and location and the beach is great.

Great location from airport and to the places we wanted to visit - Road to Hana and Haleakala. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we enjoyed the hot tub. Additional linen should be provided especially when there is more than two people staying. We had no bath mat and only two washcloths. Better instructions for operating the TV would also be good. We were sent an email on additional instructions but we didn't check our email while there. But as a whole it was a nice stay.

We had a great time in Maui and the accommodations were as described. We had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Reviews about the bed must have been out dated because it was very comfortable and didn't creak at all. If this place fits your budget, I would highly recommend it!

This unit has been remodeled to a high standard, and has an amazing view. We loved the convenient location to the airport and exploring the rest of the island, but for someone looking for easy access to restaurants and shopping, there is not much in this part of North Kihei.

The condo was very well equipped, plenty of dishwasher tablets and toilet tissue etc, the view from the lanai was spectacular, easy to cook in as plenty of dishes and pans. Great to have use of beach chairs and umbrella. Pool was good too. Only slight complaint was no curtains or blinds
at lounge window, so when using sofa bed not great! The main bed creaked terribly but other than those it was a wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sugar Beach. Condo is neat and fully equipped. Everything you could want is here. Great addition of beach chairs and an umbrella and the towels we can use.
We loved the pool and the little bar in the sandwich shop. Great locals. It’s a great beach and the easiest access.
The lanai (balcony) is the hit of the condo! We enjoyed breakfast every morning sitting outside and watching the canoes and boats go by. The sound of the waves is incredible.
We had 2 things we didn’t love. The bed is terribly uncomfortable. Every move you make creates massive creaks and moves the whole bed. The mattress is so so so uncomfortable. Too soft and has a big sink hole in the middle. Can’t say we got the best rest in this bed.
Also, the TV is way too small. We were here for an extended time and just wanted a couple TV nights. With a room that size, a bigger tv is needed. Would also be nice to have a TV in the bedroom.
Overall we would stay here again in an instant (with a new mattress!!)
This is a home run….. definitely book this place!

PROS:
Keypad entry is amazing. I've never had this before and really loved not having to remember to carry a key of some sort.
The ocean view is the best I've ever had. Don't think you honestly could beat it.
The place was stocked with things like dishwasher and laundry tabs, paper towels, etc as well as a lot of things we didn't use but are awesome to have. Very convenient.
The property manager was quick to respond to any inquiries.
We saw sea turtles from the lanai every single day.
Sugar beach is relatively private/relaxed.
Close to the airport.
Short and reasonable check out chore list.
CONS:
The bed is honestly such a drag on this place. Both the mattress and frame/headboard itself. We woke up sore every single day. The bed is hard to move in. And most importantly, anytime you laid down or moved, the bed made creaking noises as if it were unsturdy. I personally stay in hotels of all ranges about once per week and this is probably the most memorably bad bed I can think of.
Office for check in closes at 5pm daily so we were a bit worried about parking overnight without a pass but the PM cleared that up quickly.
Sugar beach isn't great for snorkeling/low visibility.
Not really a walkable area if you like to walk to shops/eat/etc.
The lanai chairs are not very comfortable. I'd recommend the PM investing in a chaise lounge or comfy set of chairs to truly enjoy the gorgeous view.
Small hot tub for a large resort and don't really see why it had to close at 930pm.

Stay was good. Excellent supply of kitchen needs. We only cooked breakfast each day but had all we needed after a quick run to the grocery. Location made the drive to other areas of the island for exploring and activities easy. Sugar Beach is very nice and clean and not over crowded. Loved that there was an equipment rental office on property for snorkel and excursion needs. The beach chairs - umbrella and cooler supplied by the owner were an awesome amenity. My only suggestion would be to supply new pillows for the unit. Both sets of pillows were very flat and worn out and made for multiple tough sleeping nights. All in all we had a wonderful time here and in Maui.

The property is lovely and the views are amazing. Furnishings are very nice and kitchen well stocked with dishes and cookware. TV is super small and the teeny tiny fan in the bedroom is not sufficient and there was no fan for the living room. Nice unit, just missing some basic items.

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience. The site was clean, well stocked with essentials, and the view---- perfection! While on the property we walked along the beach, grilled out, and met some new friends. We routinely watched the canoers make their way across the bay. There is a farmer's market within walking distance as well as Ululani's Shave Ice. We want to come back!

Although the complex is not brand new, the location is perfect! The outside walkways and walls off the ground floor could have been cleaner. All questions we had were answered and onsite managers were helpful.

The stay started out super rocky. We arrived late in the evening only to find the property has not been cleaned from the previous guest. I was able to reach their after hours support but the only thing they could offer was to take a report. Fortunately there were extra linens at the property.
The next morning the property manager took care of everything. They refunded the cost of the night and worked to have the property properly cleaned while we were out for the day so we were not disturbed. They really made it right for us and the rest of the trip was great. Beautiful ocean views on a nice quiet beach. Very clean property overall.

Although I didn't understand what the PH was before the room number, understanding it was 'penthouse' or really the 'top floor' was the icing on the cake! Ocean views for miles, rolling waves and whales playing right in front of you while sipping coffee/wine on the lanai. Perfect!

Beautiful ocean front Vrbo! We throughly enjoyed our stay for 3 nights! Beautiful views of the ocean & rowing team in the morning. It had all of our traveling needs. The washer & dryer were really handy if you needed to wash clothes if you didn't want to over pack for your trip! Everything for the beach was provided! Beach chairs, umbrella, towels & cooler! Some of the items do get stolen before stays, but we were excited to see all of the items were hoping for were included with our stay! We defiantly recommend this ocean front Vrbo in Kihei!
