Our family of four (my wife, our 2 and 4 yr old kids, and I) stayed here for 5 nights in April 2024. The condo was perfect for our group - plenty of space and wonderful views right on the ocean. The complex is great too - very chill and peaceful. The pool and hot tub are great, and the the BBQs work great for grilling and watching the sunset. The beach isn't huge and disappears when the tide is in, but you can walk a few min down the shore to a wider beach where you can still hang out and swim when the tide is in. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our time here, and it made our weekend away more restful as it was close proximity to food, beaches, and hiking trails, as well as staying in we could watch whales from the comfort of our room, or head down to the hot tub for some relaxation. The staff were so friendly and easy to work with despite a late night check in time due to our flights. So thankful we chose to stay at Papakea!

The rental is a great location and the view is to die for. The property could use some up grades... a fresh painting and new furniture (couch specifically) would add a lot to freshen. But that said we love it there at Papakea. We have been coming every year since retirement and many other times since 1989. We have always stayed at Papakea We have met many wonderful people from all over the country and world Broken hearted for the loss of lives and property and Lahaina. Maui Strong!

Very nice stay. Room had plenty of amenities. Only a couple of things that concerned me. No small AC unit for the bedroom, so it had a hard time cooling down as opposed to the living room area. Also, there were no facial tissue boxes at all in the unit, so we had to use either toilet paper or paper towel all week.

The location of this property is great. Had trouble sleeping a few of the nights due to heat. Yes it is air-conditioned but the cool air does not make it to the bedroom. Beautiful view. We snorkeled right on the little bit of beach at low tide and saw quite a few fish, and a turtle. Water was a little cloudy from the surf. Interior is dated and needs a good cleaning but overall was good for us . Can't beat location and view.

The property was nice, beautiful views and the staff was helpful. The unit we rented needed updating - worn furniture, mold in the A/C unit and chips/scuff marks on the walls. It also had many supplies, but not enough towels, no bath mats/tissues and a few other items that would have made it more comfortable. Also the A/C was not large enough for the unit and the bedroom was routinely over 80 degrees. The location was pretty central to the NW side of the island and there were several restaurants and a grocery store very near by.

Great spot with a terrific view. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Sleeper sofa was the most comfortable one my daughter has slept on. Cute decorating touches throughout. Papakea is a super family resort! The rental process was seamless. Thanks!

The view was absolutely amazing! We were mesmerized by the humpback whales off our balcony. The size and amenities of the condo were perfect. We had the beach access directly below our unit. We would have stayed forever if we could have. Perfect home!

Was a good stay- view was great. Two things- no spices- not even salt and pepper or sugar.. that was a first for a condo I ha e rented. Second - no air conditioning in the bedroom- was very warm and made fir sleepless nights. Overall nice place and good value.

Host was accommodating and answered questions promptly. Sent informative COVID content regarding our visit (required documents and Island preparations). Lodging was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and room also had lots of storage for our clothes for the week stay. There were also beach chairs, towels, beach umbrella for our family to use. Last but not least, THE VIEW!! Wow. Amazing and beautiful; we were even able to see a turtle swim by from our balcony. Highly recommend this property when staying in Lahaina - walking distance to the ABC store, TIMES up grocery as well as close to the Whalers shopping area. Highly recommended lodgings!

Great location with beautiful views. It was clean and all appliances worked. The unit we rented could use a little updating - furniture and carpet have seen better days. The teeny tiny tub was hilarious! We would stay there again!

Aloha Vacation Rentals is easy to work with and very responsive. This trip was a 30th wedding anniversary gift to ourselves, and Tina & crew gave us a gifts of wine, chocolates & a tote bag on arrival. Such a thoughtful thing to do! We liked the room because it’s ocean front, and is an end unit with plenty of windows for cross-breezes. It was very clean and the bed was great!
