This place was so bad..very misleading. The furniture is scratched beyond repair, the AC takes a full day to cool, the check in area dates back to the 60's and the owner was extremely rude after payment was made. Pent house?? Its the 10th floor of a an old cinder block building. Pool...its the size of a Wal Mart. The patio doors did not close well- thus a loud whistle. The owner blamed it all on us, however we only spent 2 nights until we could find another place to stay. That one was as advertised. Find any place else!!!!

The view of the place it’s amazing! Although the building is not new construction, the apartment it’s clean and comfortable. Location it’s central with lots of choices for food and fun. We had a small hiccup at checking in but both owners were prompt to correcting the situation. We did not use any of the other building amenities but were happy with our accommodations. Thank you for sharing your place with us, we had a relaxing time.

We enjoyed eating meals at the lanai/ balcony above water and having access to the beach right downstairs. Really appreciated finding the snorkel sets so we didn’t need to rent. I would come back and stay here again. A/C could be stronger and sliding door made easier to open.

The location was exactly as advertised. Very clean, modern, and right over the ocean. No complaints. Would recommend to friends and family. Comes with beach gear so no need to purchase coolers or chairs. Very nice!! Will stay again!!

After missing one sunset and watching it from Whaler’s Village we made sure we were at the condo for every other night. What a spectacular place to watch the sun go down!

As listed this property has amazing views of the ocean and whales.
Property was clean and well maintained.
Pool and hot tub were very clean as well.
Good location fir morning walks on boardwalk.
Could use some extra containers ( ziplock )
for storage of things in fridge ( ie pineapple, fruit etc)
Overall you will not be disappointed with this rental it is perfect for a couple to stay.

We love Maui Kai for the views of the water, Lanai'i, Molokai and the whales. So many whales.
This unit has a good kitchen, comfortable bed and good light. Not a fan of the TV set up- a little confusing.
Overall, a great stay and we hope to return next year.

We very much enjoyed stay at this Penthouse condo! The views from the 10th floor were awesome! Having the telescope in the condo was very much appreciated as my son used it to look at Jupiter and its moon in the sky at night! And also we could see humpback whales right from our balcony and using the telescope! The swimming and snorkeling gear in the condo was quit handy. Thanks.

We had a great stay over Christmas week. The views are incredible, and we were able to sit on the lanai and whale watch for hours each day.
We had a few issues at check in after a long travel day, but Tom answered our call (on Christmas Day) and took care of it quickly.
There was plenty of parking, several restaurants within walking distance and the quiet pool was a great place to unwind after mornings full of activities out on the island.

This is a real jewel of a small condo penthouse that is in a low density and unpretentious older building but updated to current standards. The bathroom and shower are small, the bedroom is an adequate size. The kitchen has nice new upgrades. The comfortable living room and balcony seen to almost overhang the beach and surf so that all you see is the Pacific and distant islands. My only minor suggestion is that there is a written guide on how to use the four TV and other remotes. I would choose this condo for two over most newer condos on Maui, if you love the sights and sounds of the ocean.

View and location on water was great! We were able to see turtles and manta rays from lanai. And the sunsets were gorgeous
We were disappointed though with the very offensive odor in the bathroom. And the stay instructions indicated the window needed to stay closed due to ac it was definitely unpleasant

We really enjoyed our stay. The views are amazing! You can just sit and stare out the patio all day long and that's just what we did. The view from the balcony makes you feel like you are on a ship. We saw turtles swimming below in the water. This is a place to truly relax and enjoy the stunning sunsets. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for letting us stay!

What a great place on the top floor - amazing corner lanai right over the water, great views and ocean breeze - only a couple of minute wander down the beach and you’re at Dukes Dukes Beach. The condo itself is immaculate, comfortable and stylish. So glad we chose it - would highly recommend and would come again. Easy checkin and great communication.

First time visiting Maui, this place was perfect. So close to the ocean. Condo was clean on arrival. Kitchen was stocked with the basics that covered our needs. You could spend all day just sitting on the balcony enjoying the view.

The location is great. Beach, views and having direct access to the beach was wonderful. Minor drawbacks were the stained comforter and the small shower with the curtain that blows in on you while showering. The floor was vacuumed but not washed. Overall an amazing stay. We would book it again!

The view from this unit is amazing - I'd give it 10 stars!. The lanai offers excellent views facing west and north up through Kapalua. The window in the dining room also offers the view up north.
You can see whales and turtles right from the lanai and watch kite surfers take off from the beach below.
The lanai is better than most in this building with the north side open allowing a fantastic breeze all day long. This keeps the lanai cool even in the late afternoon; the sunsets were amazing!
The unit itself is starting to show its age and needs some refreshing / TLC (ie paint, cracked tile, bedroom furniture, grout deep cleaning, missing screen on bedroom window) but it didn't impact our overall enjoyment as we were there to watch whales! The shower is very small and could use an upgrade from a shower curtain to a glass enclosure.
There was nice airflow throughout the unit in the evening and we slept with the doors open every night; we love hearing the sound of the waves crashing on the shore below!

The decor was well done! This place had everything needed for a wonderful stay at the beach. The view was fantastic saw lots of whales from the balcony. The bed was a bit firm and a little squeaky otherwise really loved the place. We would stay here again!

The listing highlights the views of the property. We watched the waves crash the beach and also spotted several whales. One of the comments left by a visitor stated the pool was in back and small. So when we got there we weren't expecting much. Much to our surprise, the pool was perfect and since it was just for the guest, there were only 3 to 5 other people there. And they had one of the only working hot tubs on the island. They also had two gas grills and gazebo with picnic table for cooking out. By the pool, there is an open room under living quarters with bathrooms, tv, and large fridge. We watched the playoff games in the shade on the big screen tv.
If you are looking for more of the resort pools, bars and waterfalls, the Kanapalli beach club is actually right next store and open to the public. Best of both worlds. My son and wife enjoyed the private beach and appreciated the beach chairs left in the room for use.

Awesome stay! Killed my knee on the corner of the coffee table running to the balcony to see turtles, choked on my POG at dining table seeing shark below and stubbed my toe while seeing whales spout on the horizon. Killer views makai and mauka…sounds of the ocean waves and palm trees swaying in the breeze…what is *not* to love about this property?! The pristine condo came complete with everything you need and didn’t think you need! We were delightfully surprised to find snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, and large beach towels ready for our use. Easy access to the beach and great snorkeling made for low key planning. The property is conveniently located near grocery stores, coffee shops, great restaurants, and shopping…close but just far enough away from crowds.
My inner SoCal clock had me up by 5 AM every morning which allowed me to enjoy the island waking up to a Maui sunrise. Peaceful aloha…
The only hiccup when we checked in were missing key cards. We emailed the owner right away and ended up using the electronic fob the whole stay. It meant the hubs and I could not wander apart…perfectly fine since we were there to celebrate 31 years of marriage 💜!!
So happy to call this our Maui hale 🤙🏼!!

We had an awesome time at this location and the snorkeling right outside of the place was amazing. The sunsets were fantastic from the balcony and the bed was super comfortable. Perfect spot within short walking distance to some great restaurants and food trucks. The owners were great at communicating on everything and could not have asked for a better spot. Only thing we wished for was bigger hot tub and pool on the property but other than this it was a fantastic spot. Definitely will be back again!!
