This was a great unit to stay in. Literally, everything is provided. Shampoo and conditioner, body wash, bathroom spray, fridge condiments, chairs for the beach, etc. It wasn't missing a thing. The unit is exactly as shown. If you're into yoga, you can go down to the beach for an 8 am yoga class.The bed was even very comfy. Sunsets from the beach or pool area were beautiful. The pool area/hot tub were great. Many chairs available for sitting by the pool. The grill area was very nice although we did not use it. The unit is close enough to walk to some restaurants. If you are in good health, you could walk all the way to the shopping district. The biggest downfall is parking for shopping. The pay lots are expensive and trying to find free parking is not easy. Some restaurants that we enjoyed were LaVerne's, J's Fish and Grill and Quinn's Almost by the Sea. We did not have a good experience at Fish Hopper. There are stairs to get to this unit. If you take the elevator up, then you go down a small flight to get to the unit. That's the only disadvantage of it. The owner is great. We chatted many times before our stay. She was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to the Big Island. Thanks Kathy for a great stay!

The owner has done a great job of decorating the condo and lots of amenities like beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. While a few drawbacks like no A/C in bedroom (we were fine with fan but imagine it is very hot in summer) and some difficulty with small and limited parking slots, overall a great place and great value.

One of the best rentals ever! Saw humpback whales from our deck. Chairs along ocean to watch sunset. Place was super clean, bed was comfortable, and kitchen and bath were well-stocked. Walking distance to Kona restaurants. Convenient to many beaches and attractions. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to the Big Island.

The beach front view is beautiful. Food and shopping all within walking distance. Central location for day excursions. Well appointed kitchen and laundry. We especially appreciated the laundry being in the condo. Highly recommend and will come back!

There was an unusually large storm while we stayed at this condo. The power went out for around five hours. The stove is electric so we couldn’t cook and we couldn’t see in the dark. There were two old candles sitting on a table but we had no lighter or matches. The office was closed. Many of us in the condos went to Safeway to buy a lighter. We got back and couldn’t light the old candles. Too much dust on the wick. We bought more candles and used them to see. Quite an adventure.
There wasn’t any dishwasher detergent to run it. It’s the little things that you want to follow the directions at the end of our stay but really couldn’t follow because of supplies. I tried to call the cleaning people when we left, as per direction by the door. It was a number no longer in service.
Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately the storm lasted two days. Weather happens.

This was an incredible location to utilize as a home base to stay in Kailua Kona. Very easy walk to Huggos and Huggos on the Rocks and an easy walk to all the shops and other restaurants. The pool and hot tub and ocean view were very nice from the common areas and the private balcony overlooking the public beach was great to drink coffee or have late night drink. Everything works here and the owner is extremely accessible and easy to work with. Would definitely stay again.

Online photos don't do the view justice. This one bedroom condo was very clean, well maintained and has comfortable furniture and bedding. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom, washer and dryer. Very reasonable check in and out procedures. The air conditioner works well and cools the entire place quickly so no need to leave on full time, only as needed. Despite 80+ degree heat, we hardly used the A/C. From the balcony with 2 rocking chairs and a high top table and 4 chairs we enjoyed people watching at the public beach next door. From pool towels to laundry detergent to beach chairs and boogie boards the condo lacks nothing. If you have issues with stairs, even with the elevator there are about 5 steps up/down to reach the condo.
Watching the sunset was easy from the lawn right on the ocean near the swimming pool. While the property is older, it's very well maintained. We will be back!

Very nice updated condo in a perfect location for Kona shore-side area. Good and plentiful parking. Short drive into town. You'll have a nice view of surfers sitting on the lanai with coffee in the morning or adult beverage in the afternoon. Pool area very nice, and great sunset views from there! Host was very responsive to questions and a minor glitch with a fan. Note that parking is expensive in Kona at the pay lots - as much as $15/hr. There are two free lots across from Kai's Restaurant - ask them for more info.

We booked very last minute + thought all the good places would be gone. We were wrong! The best little gem had the exact 3 days we needed + it was meant to be! The house was perfect from location to quality beach items we could borrow to well stocked kitchen items to comfort of the bed/bedding. Thank you for the stay!

I wanted location on a beach and ocean view. This property has both, as advertised. Having breakfast on the balcony was a wonderful experience.
On the downside, the bedroom has small inoperable windows, high up by the ceilimg. Since the only air conditioner is in the living room, the small bedroom with a ceiling fan became warm and stuffy on the hot days we were there. The furnishings need updating.
The owner responds to emails promptly.
