The unit is perfect, no complaints at all. The location is perfect for hanging at the beach, taking long walks on the paved path or just watching the sun go down. The Pono Kai has a pool, jacuzzi, tennis, shuffle board, ping pong, horse shoes, board games, volleyball, a small golf put green, corn hole and much more.

It was clean and a good location. The light in the bedroom never did work, but the lamps did. The cooler in the closet would have been good to use, but the zipper was broken. The other items there to use were good. Overall, a good place to stay.

The unit had a wonderful patio that looked right over a grassy area and water directed behind it. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and drinks at night after a long day of exploring and playing on the beach. It had many accessories in the unit to make our stay comfortable and fun, i.e. boogie boards and a fan for noise at night.

This condo was a perfect jumping point to explore all areas of the island. Last month I took a solo trip to Kauai and so glad I choose this condo in Kauai. The unit itself is very nice and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need to be comfortable as well as for your day trips. She has everything from boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels ready for you so you don’t have to worry about a thing. The property itself was very nice and although I didn’t get a chance to use the pool it looked very nice. Having the beach just a few steps away was amazing! So many great restaurants, food trucks and shops in walking distance. The bed was very comfortable which was nice to come home to after a long day of hiking and snorkeling and get a restful nights sleep. I highly recommend for solo travelers, or couples. It’s perfect! I will definitely be back to Kauai and would absolutely book this property again!

We just spent 6 nights in Kapa'a and had a wonderful stay at this property. It is exactly as described and has everything a family of 4 needs when staying on and exploring Kauai. We wanted something centrally located and with an ocean view, and this was it. We were able to conveniently get to the north and south shores and also spent some time eating, shopping and biking in Kapa'a. We had incredible breakfasts at Olympic Cafe and Kountry Kitchen. Sam's Ocean View is not to be missed for dinner. All within walking distance. We did not cook much at the condo, just a couple breakfasts, but the unit is well stocked. Bed was very comfortable and the AC worked great. I miss sipping my coffee and watching the sun come up. Would definitely stay here again. Very nice owners too who we were lucky enough to meet. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great time while we were in Kauai and the location of this condo made everything we had planned so convenient. The condo was beautifully furnished and had an awesome view of the ocean. The owners were very prompt with any questions we had. If you are light sleeper just be aware that the walls do not provide any sound barrier. We could hear the next door neighbors TV and the people upstairs walking. It was not an issue with us because we stayed so busy by the time we returned after a day of adventures we slept well. Having a washer and dryer available on the property and air conditioner (only had to use during the nighttime) was greatly appreciated. Thanks for a great time in Kauai.

A sandy beach is footsteps from the beautiful lanai. The unit has so many amenities, we couldn’t stop smiling when we walked in. Inside and out, it was the perfect place. The owner was super helpful when we had some tech issues, and even sent a gift basket on our anniversary. Priceless.

We loved looking out at the sunrise and walking on the oceanside trail each day. We also made good use of the hot tub and pool which were just steps from the condo. The condo was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was modern, well stocked and met all of our needs. The kitchen was perfect for most of our meals and the resort had nice grills as well. The location is a good central location with easy access to either north or south shore. I would recommend this condo and would definitely stay again.

Property was clean and ready for a relaxing week on the island. Janice was quick to remedy any issues we had (which was extremely minor!). Loved the closet with all the island essentials, even gave a little Aloha by leaving a rod and reel for fishing!

Convenient location for exploring the island. There are numerous shops/restaurants within walking distance. We walked along the beach path every morning.
The A/Cs work very well. It was nice to have a well stocked kitchen. (Numerous tiny ants though but those are common on island. There are sprays available under the kitchen sink) . We found a couple of cockroaches when we arrived. Not surprising as those buggahs are sneaky 😉
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay in this property again.

Everything about our first visit to Kauai was even better than we hoped, starting with this place. The ocean is right there, the patio is perfect, and the living space is excellent. Clean, well-stocked with cooking tools and beach necessities (chairs, boogie boards, cooler), and located literally feet from eateries, shops, and . . . shave ice. We walked the shops daily, walked the bike path next to the sea, and ate at many of the nearby cafes/restaurants/markets. Kapa'a is well-located to access both north and south island, and the condo is minutes away from Sleeping Giant (a really cool hike). When we come back, there's no need to look around for accommodations--we'll stay here again very happily.

Kapaa is a great community perfectly located for enjoying all there is to do and see on the east and north side of Kauai. Pomo Kai is also perfectly located near the central of the town . This condo unit is very close to the water, was perfect for and a great view of the ocean.

I can’t say enough about this property! The location was walking distance to great places to eat like Pono Market or a super quick drive to some of the best island shave ice Wailua Shave Ice. With the central location, you can easily drive to the north or south parts of the island. The condo itself was clean and everything you needed was there for a great stay. Sitting in the living room in the morning with that view was to die for. The air conditioning was so nice to have on hot humid days. The bed was not too soft or too firm. Communication was quick and easy. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family who plan on visiting Kauai.

Wonderful condo. Great location, fantastic view. Everything you need in the kitchen. Really loved the fact that 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas,, 3 beach towels and a beach cooler was there for our use. Enjoyed the beach out front of resort and the pool. Stayed for 3 weeks and would’ve loved to stay even longer. Will definitely stay here again.

I was so lucky to find this gem right in the heart of downtown Kapa’a. This condo was exceptionally clean, beautifully appointed, and came with all of the “extras” my daughter and I needed to enjoy the beach while on vacation. The view of the ocean from the living room is spectacular, and it’s just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. I will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property, can see right out onto the ocean and beach from the back window. Condo was clean and tidy and had large kitchen with all utensils, pots, pans, etc. that was really helpful for family meals. Also loved the outside chairs and small table to have breakfast near the ocean. Condo is also located 2 minutes from small area of shopping, restaurants etc., really nice for a stroll. Very family-friendly complex as well with pool, games, etc (tennis court was closed for renovation). Would definitely return!

The condo was beautiful and in the perfect location on the island. The amenities on the grounds made it nice when returning from a busy day out. There was plenty to do to keep us entertained while at the condo. We enjoyed croquet and golf in the morning before heading out for the beach or a day of activities.

This place was great! From the moment we walked in and saw the ocean we knew it would be great & it was. The location worked well. Enjoyed body surfing at Kealia Beach just north of Kapaa and was convenient for hiking the Sleeping Giant, trips to north coast locations as well as a Na Pali boat cruise out of Waimea. Kitchen was well equipped and our adult son and his girlfriend found the sofa bed reasonably comfortable. We will recommend this condo to our friends. Thank you Janice!

We lucked out when our first rental canceled on us. We found this awesome spot and couldn't have been happier! Loved having the view from our kitchen, which was stocked with all the necessary cooking items. The beach accessories were an added bonus, made the beach days much more enjoyable.
Perfect location in Kapaa, easy to walk to shops and bike rental.

The condo is located in Kapa’a, which is a cute little town just a couple minutes walk away. The resort is Pono Kai, which is a beautiful small resort right on the coast with an adjacent bike path.
The unit was very clean and had a fully stocked kitchen. Additionally there were lots of beach accessories. A/C in both the living room and bedroom, fast Internet and convenient parking.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is just as pictured -- maybe even a little bit better, as from the pictures you can't tell that you can see the ocean from the patio. The ground floor location was actually perfect as we could walk straight out to the beach-- an improvement from the higher-up units where you can't exit from the back of the property (facing the beach) to go to the ocean. There is also an incredible bike path right in front of the property that goes up and down the coast with gorgeous views. Location can't be beat -- walking distance to the village with shops, coffee, juice bars and restaurants. We loved it here and would happily return!
