This beachfront, ocean-view unit is super clean, has quality furnishings, and is equipped with kitchen items and beach gear. Tip: The fridge has a working ice maker. I didn't realize that at first because the arm was up.
The grounds are well-maintained, the walkable beach goes for miles, and it's easy to enter into mostly-calm waters that are perfect for swimming, SUP, etc.
The location on the North end of the Kihei strip was great for us to get to other parts of the island during our stay.

Excellent communication with owner concerning an issue which was immediately addressed. Especially happy with kitchen pans not being scratched up, clean floor comfortable walking on barefoot and wonderful showers after our swim. Also the pool was nice and did not smell of chlorine.

The two separate full bathrooms and dual A/C was fantastic. Great little side ocean view..Very comfy bed and lots of great kitchen accessories. Perfect place to call home for a week of work and play for my husband and I.

Due to the tragedies of the recent fire in Lahaina, we wanted to come out to support Maui. This place was perfectly located. The beach is wonderful. Walking distance to local produce, bakery and shave ice!!

We had a great time at this condo. My 16 year old was very comfortable on the pull out sofa and we enjoyed having our own spaces. The beach is right outside and the umbrellas on the grass area are very sturdy when it got windy. The location is great and easy to get all of the different beaches. The condo is perfectly stocked with everything we needed and it was very clean and well thought out. We are from Oregon and not used to much humidity so we were very grateful for the fabulous air conditioning in both rooms! At night I liked to open the window to hear the ocean but you might be woken up by a nearby rooster at about 6 a.m. I decided it was worth the rooster - his wake up call is brief.
Lara was very kind and responsive. I appreciated her texts and she made sure we were content. The view from the lanai is wonderful and I loved hanging out there with my glass of wine - you can see the sun go down over the mountain and the view of the ocean is beautiful. The water in front of the building was calm and it was nice to just dive on in at any time. The decor inside is very nice and tastefully beachy.
We had a wonderful time and I would recommend this location highly!

Just returned after spending 6 nights here. The owner is very easy to communicate with and ready and willing to answer questions or provide insight. This unit is equipped with all of the items you need for a beach vacation - nice to have when traveling a great distance. This unit is not very far from the airport and the island is small enough that you can tour all of it from this location. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and it was absolutely perfect! Sugar beach was probably our most favourite beach that we experienced in all of Maui. Lara was a great host and we couldn’t have asked for a better location to stay in Maui.

Comfortable stay. Very homey, clean and cozy. Easy access to beach, centrally located for easy highway access. However, road noise is a bit loud. Also the apt. overlooked a wedding venue; did not anticipate the late night party noise.
Only way to enjoy the ocean view is to sit outside; for us the freeway noise was too distracting. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We loved the condo. It was accessible to roads to get anywhere we needed to be. Parking was never an issue. The beach area was never crowded and enjoyable. Everything needed was provided (beach chairs, umbrella, and towels). Beautiful lanai to sit and having morning coffee overlooking the beach. We will recommend Lara and this condo to our friends and will certainly try to stay here again.

Our stay was for our honeymoon and we could not have picked a better place to stay. It was welcoming and perfectly located! The beach is right outside the condo and it’s absolutely beautiful and clean. The pool was a lovely thing to have and we took advantage of it everyday. Morning beach walks, coffee and breakfast on the deck over looking the pool and beach, watching the sunset over the mountains to the west, so close to many other beaches along the south and in one of the quietest parts of residential Maui. There were not masses of tourists and the beaches were always close and not hard to get a spot for the day at any time you arrived. I can go on and on but this place owned by Lara is just wonderful. 10/10 would recommend!

Property was as advertised. It is a little away from everything so if you do want to explore or plan on eating out I recommend a rental car. The property is on a beach and has a small patio section.

Property was super clean and equipped with beach supplies for us to use, snorkels and fins, beach towels, chairs, games, etc. Good central location and the views from the balcony and beach were amazing! We sat out there every night to watch the sunset. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed 9 nights with my brother. He stayed on sofa sleeper and was comfortable. The master bedroom was private and bed was comfortable. We used the kitchen for many meals and had everything to make our meals. The beach here is clean and uncrowded with super soft sand to walk on. Saw lots of whales from the beach and loungers on the lawn. Lara responded quickly to my texts in response to my questions. Maui is a great place to visit with so much to see and do. I will return and would choose to stay here again if available.

This condo was perfect for us. We enjoyed the view from our balcony every morning and saw several whale spouts. It’s a great location, easy to get to good places to eat and shop. It was also great being so close to Maalaea Harbor where we took a whale watching trip. We will definitely book this condo again.

My husband and I had a fantastic trip staying at Lara’s condo. The location is perfect! It has great views and the central location is perfect for traveling to different locations across the island. The condo was clean and provided anything we could possibly need including cooking supplies, beach towels and even a cooler! The condo was spacious and was set up perfectly for our needs. We loved just sitting on the deck and taking in the gorgeous views. We can’t wait to hopefully visit and stay again in this condo in the future!

From the time we entered the condo I knew it was going to be a wonderful and special 40th Wedding Anniversary stay. It was a lovely condo! It was a perfect size for the two of us.! We were extremely pleased with our stay at this Nani Kai Hale condo. Communication with Lara was very easy. She always responded quickly and helped with our questions and issues. Check in was super easy - no fussing with going to an office or anything like that. the complex is located in the perfect place to be able to get around the island easily. We never had a problem getting a parking spot. Kihei traffic can be crazy sometimes and since this is located on the North end, we didn't have to get caught up in that. The unit has plenty of room and is equipped with everything you can possible need. The king bed is very comfortable. Bathroom towels are good quality. We loved the balcony and being able to hear the waves all the time. The AC works fantastic and was very quiet, but we preferred to have the door/windows open and enjoy the breeze. The laundry room is right next door, so it's super easy to access. The complex has a wonderful lawn with plenty of lounge chairs perfect for enjoying the beachfront. We never used them, but there are grills and ample space for preparing food and enjoying a meal oceanfront. We were very pleased with our stay here and highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful property with easy access. It has a wonderful balcony with a view of the ocean, and you can easily access the pool or the beach from the property. It is a quick drive from the airport and can easily drive to both halves of Maui!

Access to beaches and Kihei was perfect. Could head west to get to other parts of island without going through town. Near enough to walk even to a few choice spots such as the bakery, beach, and a few other locations. Expect some chicken wake-up calls, but honestly you'll get that anywhere so it's not especially special and yet loved that.
The condo is perfect for 2 people, they provided lots of toys such as boogieboards, snorkels, towels, and more. It has a vintage feel to it which we appreciated to keep in touch with the beach vibe. There's a large TV in the living room, but we didn't use it as we were traveling around a lot.
Would definitely visit again as it's super quiet compared to some parts of the island, and don't have to compete for space on the beach even on a busy Spring Break week!

Owner has great communication. Detailed instructions for everything. Location couldn’t have been better. Sandy beach is a quiet, walkable beach with gorgeous views and well located to anywhere on the island. I even saw a whale breaching one morning on my walk on the beach. Condo was clean and spacious. View of the pool and ocean from the deck. Pool and backyard/beach area were clean and plenty of chairs to watch the ocean. We had a small hiccup and the owner was on it but immediately and was more than generous in her response. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Great location. Great host. Great ocean and Mountain View’s. Easy to get to all of Maui’s hot spots and on a very nice beach. Coffee shop, bakery and fruit stand right across the street. Condo is well stocked with beach gear and the kitchen is well put together with many basics you don’t often find-few spices, olive oil, foil, Tupperware. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and hope we get to come back again. Lara was great as a host.

We made a late change in plans and switched our stay from Kaanapali beach to Kihei in order to be more centrally located on the island. This was a absolutely the right move for us as we did a lot of driving (jungle zipline, sunrise at Haleakala, and road to Hana - would highly recommend all, fyi) and save an hour+ most days at the new location. Lara was the perfect host, leaving us a bottle of wine and chocolates upon our arrival. She also got back to me almost immediately regarding any random questions I had about parking, restaurants, or drive times.
The place itself was great. Very clean, quiet, and we absolutely loved how calm the beach was. The breathtaking sunsets were just an added bonus. We will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I did a working vacation here and it was absolutely perfect. The apartment is spacious, has two bathrooms and is in a great location. Easy to get to Lahaina for Wailea on the bus or an Uber and walking distance to a market, bakery/coffee shot, and the best shave ice on the island. I highly recommend staying here.

Kihei is close to everything (15’ to airport, 30’ to Lahaina/Ka’apulani, etc). No crowds. Minimal traffic perfect if you want a quiet spot away from the crowded areas.
Nani Kai Hale condo was beautiful. Great views of ocean and mountains. Comfortable, clean. Has beach chairs, cooler, snorkel equipment, etc. there was a even a Luau venue right next door! Hostess responded immediately to questions. Great local restaurants.

Lara’s place is definitely a gem! It was our first time traveling to Hawaii and Lara made the process a breeze. She communicated thoroughly re: the check-in/check-out process, made excellent suggestions/recommendations, and was more than accommodating/welcoming. The condo was exceptionally clean and included everything (and more!) we needed for our stay. A few highlights included the beautiful view from the balcony, easy access to pool/beach area (less than a 5 min walk!), the welcoming note and generous treats left in the refrigerator upon our arrival, extra items available for use (beach chairs, cooler bag, beach towels, umbrella, etc.), the super comfy bedding, and of course the overall laid back vibe and coziness of the place :) This was an unforgettable trip for us and Lara’s place at 505 made it all the more worthwhile!

We really enjoyed staying in this condo on the north end of Kihei. The condo had everything included for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, plates/silverware, and even storage containers. Loved the water filtration container in the fridge. When we first arrived we turned on the air conditioning to acclimate to the warm humidity, but after a few days we started opening up the windows and it was much more comfortable. The traffic noise was somewhat noticeable but never bothered by it when sleeping. Bring quarters for the laundry room; $2 for the washer and $1.75 for the dryer. The friendly condo manager is excellent by keeping the grounds clean and will answer any questions you might have about the condo or surrounding Kihei area. The beach is steps away from the lawn area with ample tables, chairs, and loungers. The condo is stocked with beach chairs as well, but we never had a chance to use them. Two beach towels are provided in the condo. Having the second bathroom and king size bed was a bonus for us. Condo owner was welcoming with a basket of goodies upon arrival and communicated with us during our stay. We cannot wait to return!

This was our second time staying in one of Barbara & Mark's properties and this experience confirmed everything we experienced the first trip. The condo is beautifully appointed with all the extra touches you could hope for. The view from the balcony is very nice but the best part is walking downstairs and straight onto the beach. I can't imagine staying somewhere that you can't hear the ocean or walk there in just seconds. Very pleased with our stay at Nani Kai Hale and can't wait to return!

This is an easy review to provide as our experience was so similar to the other two reviews. We also felt fortunate to find this unit as our reserved unit in a different complex was not available due to construction. It is a beautiful unit, newly remodeled, well appointed and everything looks new. Convenient location and we really enjoyed the pool, sand beach and grassy area with the large umbrellas. Barbara and Mark are very easy to deal with, were very responsive and would always check to make sure everything was okay. We also noticed the highway noise in the living room but was not a serious issue as we never turned the two new air conditioners on, preferring to leave the windows open. The building manager was also very pleasant and responsive. We really enjoyed this unit and highly recommend it!

Barbara and Mark could not have been easier to work with and their newly remodeled condo is beautiful, comfortable, breezy, and very well appointed. Every time I turned around there was something else wonderful here - beautiful furnishings, very fully appointed kitchen with absolutely everything you would need, extra blankets and pillows, iron and board, even a boogie board, snorkel mask set, beach chairs and an insulated picnic basket. Comfortable bed, high quality furniture, beautifully remodeled kitchen and baths (2!). I thought 2 bathrooms was nice but certainly not necessary, but have to say it was perfectly delightful for him to have one bath and me to totally have the other! A luxury! The deck was a delight, with gorgeous views of the ocean, beach, and West Maui mountains. We had breakfast there every morning, and drinks later in the afternoon. Clean and well maintained pool and beach lawn area, with comfortable lounge chairs, table seating, large umbrellas and two steps from stunning Sugar Beach, where one can walk for long distances on a gorgeous beach, or swim in the water with a very gentle surf and soft sandy bottom. Our hosts were very welcoming, and always available if we needed anything, but we never had to call them once - everything worked beautifully, was so comfortable and we totally loved our stay. Easy parking, wonderful on-site manager who was also so welcoming. Great location quite centrally located on the island, about 30 minutes to Lahaina, or Kahalui, or Wailea, and just down the road from a fun part of Kihei with lots of great restaurant options, shopping and more beautiful beaches.
Our single complaint would be that there is some road noise, which we may have had more of because we leave windows open and rarely close them to use AC, but honestly I seldom even noticed it, we were having such a lovely time. I would highly recommend this vacation rental and hope to return sometime.

My wife and I along with our two best friends go on an annual friends-vacation and we were lucky enough to come across this beautiful condo! We booked our trip fairly last minute and we were so surprised to find such a great location, newly remodeled, perfect condo for our trip. The location of this condo was truly perfect for our group. The #505 condo has a great view of the ocean and a beautiful view of the mountainside. I have found it is fairly rare to get both views out of a condo or hotel on Maui. We appreciated the location because it was only minutes from Kihei, about 15 minutes from Waialea, and 25 minutes to Lahaina. Although there isn't a ton to walk to in the area, there is an ABC store, a cute little bakery and shaved ice stand, and of course, the beach is only a few steps away. There is a nice pool which was very warm and a nice grass area with lawn chairs before you stepped onto Sugar Beach. The community at Nani Kai Hale was so welcoming and very nice! We had an issue with the lock on our door at first and the building manager helped us almost immediately. The condo itself was beautiful and fully renovated. The four of us fit perfectly in the space as there is one room with a queen bed, a walk in closet, circulating air flow, and a full bathroom. Outside of the bedroom, there is a pull out couch/bed, an AC unit although we didn't need to use it much because of the awesome air flow through the unit, a great kitchen fully stocked with any gadget or utility item we needed, and a wonderful deck area that again, had amazing views. Barbara and her family were beyond welcoming and had a beautiful welcome basket for us upon arrival. After a long day of flying, that made us feel at home. The unit is beautifully decorated which was one of our favorite parts of the unit. There is also a laundry room right next door to the unit (don't worry, you don't hear any additional noises) which was very convenient. I would highly recommend this condo for your next stay!!! We will be returning for our next friends trip time and time again. Barbara was so easy to work with, extremely responsive, and even checked in a few times during our trip to make sure we had everything we needed! Absolutely wonderful experience.
