Condo was spotless, well maintained and equipped. The unit has been renovated and updated. Had some issues and property management company responded immediately with a focus on customer service. The resort needs to provide umbrellas for much needed shade around the pool. I would stay here again and recommend.

I don’t usually do reviews but...We stayed at Kapa’a Shore Resort Aug-Sept 2023. Although we saw that some previous reviews had mentioned that the unit was dated, that didn’t bother us at all. It’s spotless and well maintained. It is equipped with everything you need and the furniture is comfortable and in good condition. The location is perfect! We’ve been to Hawaii (Maui, Kauai, Oahu, Hawaii (the Big Island) many times. We’ve done the expensive, but beautiful, resort hotels and other condos. This is where we want to return to. Hopefully we will be back next year!

The condo was perfect for what we needed. Clean had everything we needed cooler chairs. The view was spectacular from our room. Grounds were well maintained they had some roofing construction going on but we never heard much of anything other than the ocean! We will be back for sure.

This condo was great! We had a wonderful stay here.
Pros: the view was incredible and started each day outside enjoying the ocean. Location was convenient with stores and restaurants close by.
Cons: needed more fans for circulation. I was aware there was no AC however, the bathroom got super hot when is use and could have benefited from more fans to move around the unit.
They also had to shut our water off for an emergency but they contacted us to let us know this was happening.
Would highly recommend property!

We stayed in A-106The property is older and dated a little, and there is no air conditioning. Lots of fans, but still hard to sleep on a hot and humid night; even though the bed was great. However, it is well maintained, and the condo was well appointed, very clean and very comfortable with everything we needed. Thanks for the use of beach chairs and cooler. Parking is free and safe and there are no other resort fees. The pool and hot tub were very nice, and we liked the BBQ area too. The best part is the location. It is only 30 steps to the waves, and the views are spectacular. We spent a lot of time on the patio just soaking it all in. This complex is also centrally located and this makes it convenient to explore the entire island. Great bike path, and easy walking to excellent food. When you add it all up, definitely 4 star and we will be back.

This is an amazing place to stay! We LOVED being able to walk out to the ocean right from our patio. The pool was great, the staff was friendly, the views were spectacular! Being in Kapaa is great because it's pretty centrally located. We also liked being on the ground floor and couldn't hear our neighbors at all. The staff was very helpful with us finding a pack n play for our baby. We will definitely be staying here again!

Convenient layout, well furnished, excellent wi-fi. We couldn't ask for more than patio doors that open onto a lawn that we could walk across straight out to the ocean. (Someone else might prefer the privacy of an upper floor, since people walking by could look in at us.) We never figured out how to work the TV but not a problem since we just listened to the waves instead.

We enjoyed the stay a lot. It's hard to beat an oceanfront groundfloor condo. The condo is perfectly adequate, it's not the newest, fanciest place; but there is truely nothing I can say was not good. I didn't love the comfort of the furniture, but my wife liked it fine. We had a very minor maitenance issue when we were there and it was taken care of promtly, so I feel like that was very good. You are within walking distance of a number of restaurants, an ice cream shop, and a grocery store among other things. Be aware that traffic can be a problem in this area from about 10AM till early afternoon - nothing like a big metro traffic problem, but an inconvience just the same. Overall I liked this location, as it is pretty centered to the island. We actually did more in the southern part than the northern, but pretty easy to travel either way.

Decent place. A little sparse comfort-wise—could use an area rug in the living space and another loveseat couch or comfy chair. A rug under the bed would make it comfier too. The kitchen was well-equipped though, plenty of things provided (beach towels, beach chairs, cooler) and the location was great. Being on the ground floor and able to walk out onto lawn/waters edge was awesome.

We (2 adults) spent 4 weeks of Jan’22 in this condo and loved it! This will be first on our list if we are lucky enough to return to Kauai in the future.
The condo appears to have been updated recently. Clean. Well equipped. Awesome setting and location. Kapa’a was the perfect low-key area for us. Walkable to grocery, dining, beaches, shopping, bike rental. Short drives to more of the same, plus hiking & kayaking. Long wide paved walking/biking path along the coast and through Kapa’a town starts right at the property!
Property Management responded immediately and pleasantly to the few minor issues and questions. The complex was likewise in good shape and on-site personnel were pleasant and helpful.
Only two items of concern were:
- The sofa/sleeper was a bit dated and uncomfortable. (We didn’t need/try the sleeper.) Probably not a problem for short stays, but we were there 4 weeks, so would have liked something more comfortable.
- A few doors down from us in the same building, a contractor was using a power saw to wet-cut tile on the ocean-side balcony. Very loud and annoying for a few hours on each of 3 days. It appeared other units had some remodeling in progress (but, not active), so the noise could add up. Seems like this kind of noisy work should not be allowed on the ocean-side of the property.

Nice spot with a beautiful sunrise view and the convenience of a central location. This was our first visit to Kauai, and we were able to easily do some of everything- from hiking in Waimea and poke in Poipu, to waterfalls in Kapaa and the beaches of the north shore. Will definitely recommend this place to friends & family…

1ST AND FOREMOST - check out is 10am, the cleaning person showed up 5 minutes early and stood at the door, arms folded as I dragged our stuff out. I understand check out times but every place I have ever stayed at has a space cushion of some kind built into their schedule - SERIOUSLY FELT LIKE BEING EVICTED AFTER SPENDING THOUSANDS TO RENT FOR 15 NIGHTS, the neighboring units stood there watching thinking we were being kicked out and so were the people who lived across the access street whom I had met and become friends with over the 15 nights we were there paying them to be there - we were putting money in their pocket and we were literally treated like we broke a law and were being evicted. This was the absolute worst nightmare. Making things worse my fiancé fell and broker her foot the 3rd day so getting us and my grandson all up and everything done with a gargoyle standing there was humiliating to say the least. We drove away with my grandson asking what we did wrong for her to make us leave and my fiancé crying.
Now let me tell you about the condo -
The bed is a spring board - we bought a 3" topper and suitcase to take it home to make it work and the couch is worse. It slouches in the middle it's so blown out, sitting on a side is sitting at an angle and smells due to many visitors- it's just old.
A real bummer because there was no where padded to sit. Bedding and linens were stale and smelly, we washed everything 1st morning but a few of the towels are mildewed- soon as they're wet they stink so avoid those. There is no washer/dryer unit where most units have it because the owner maintains that space- likely stores a decent mattress in there. The pool is not heated or if it is why bother, the ocean is same temp and the beach with a no rock entry for your kid(s) to play or to swim is 100 yards or so down the beach but you cannot just walk there due the the reef along the front of the property. So you know Kauai has 1 road around the island so there's traffic 80% of the time at least so taking your little one to the beach is an event, not a stroll down to the sand.
***DO NOT BRING KIDS, BRING A MATTRESS TOPPER, YOUR OWN LINENS, FOREGO THE COUCH, ACCEPT THERE IS NO COMFORTABLE SEATING INSIDE & YOU'RE GOOD TO GO

We will return back! We loved that everything was provided as far as amenities. We also loved the beachfront location.
