This property is ideally located right on the water and just a few feet from a beautiful beach with great snorkeling! We loved sitting out on the lanai for drinks or morning coffee. The condo is close to Kihei in one direction and Wailea in the other. We can't wait to go back. The unit is well-appointed to cover all the basic needs. Can't wait to go back!

Upon arrival noticed how dirty the tables, floors, counters, shower and appliances were. No a/c, filthy windows. Add to clean my feet every time I got OUT of shower if I didn’t immediately put shoes on. Found mold and live LARVAE in shower /bath area. Will not recommend or stay there again

Every day we woke up and went to sleep with the breeze and noise of the waves. An exceptional location for lounging or accessing all Maui has to offer. I recommend this highly.

Great property with fantastic beach access. Would be nice if there were beach chairs and umbrella to use at the beach that is in walking distance. TV/internet did not work. I should have asked the front office but we decided to just not watch any TV and I had my own portable internet.

We've stayed at this unit twice now because we love it's proximity to the crashing waves and the pool. We had everything we needed in the unit and can't think of anything that wasn't covered.

The property at Kihei Surfside provided stunning views! My wife and I traveled most of the island and the beach that was walking distance to the property ranks as the best in my opinion. Be aware, Kihei is a "Sun up, to sun down" town so don't expect much life after 9pm. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area and hope to stay there again some day.

I work on Maui and have stayed at a variety of properties. This is one of the best. There is no air conditioning but I never use it anyway as it is usually quite windy on Maui and the breeze is lovely.
Pros: The bed is comfortable, the unit is well stocked with bath towels and kitchen supplies. The views are gorgeous and it is a short walk to the beach. The communal barbecues looked nice but I didnʻt use them. There is a restaurant and a convenience store at the property next door.
Cons: Parking is a little tight so it can be hard to find a spot. The pool is small and there is no jacuzzi but I wasnʻt really there with time to use it anyway. There is laundry in the building but it would be nicer if they were in the unit like some other places I have stayed.
Finally - I got an email threatening immediate eviction for smoking on property. I am a healthcare professional and donʻt smoke so I donʻt know what that was about but I just shrugged it off.

Wonderful property and very beautiful unit. Everything inside is new. The view from the unit is amazing! The only thing is the unit doesn't have air conditioning (only ceiling fans). For me sometimes it was a little too hot inside. The property is located right on a very nice beach (sandy beach plus snorkeling portion). Very close (5 min drive) to nice restaurants in Wailea. Overall definitely recommend unit 202!!

You can’t go wrong with any unit at Kihei Surfside. The location is just the best. Views are great. Each unit has a lanai. Unit 202 was perfectly adequate for our needs. There were no personal touches that have been provided at other Kihei Surfside rentals we’ve stayed at, such as notes about where to find things or how to use items in the condo. No welcome basket full of goodies. Everything was in working order. There was just enough towels, soap and TP, etc. Best to LABEL the pre-proportioned dish? laundry? detergents under the sink. Had no idea which was for what. The yoga mat was great but the snorkel masks leaked, so better to rent your own. There were no beach chairs but you can use the loungers that are on the lawn and Mana Kai next door can rent you everything you need. It was very quiet until the final night when the condo next door had a loud party (2/6) that went well into the night and is against the rules. They even left their front door wide open despite loud music and laughing. Not our condo owner’s fault of course and usually KS is a quiet building.

We had a great time at Larry's property! We listened to the waves all day and all night and enjoyed walking around the condo grounds. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bed was comfortable, and it was great having a second bathroom. The snorkeling at Keawakapu Beach was incredible and it was a short drive to restaurants and other beaches. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a beautiful condo in a great location with quick access to the beach and good food and shops just up the road. The front desk staff was incredibly nice, lots of parking too. You can watch the waves off the balcony and be treated to an amazing sunrise and sunset everyday. The stove is top notch and made for some great cooking.
The accommodations and communication was amazing, they worked to help our odd arrival and departure times. I cannot wait to come back to this same unit again soon!!

Very comfortable and convenient accommodation, with an easy kitchen in which to operate.
Property management was most helpful, in a couple of situations (locked-out),
and provide very good customer service.
Lanai did not appear to have been cleaned upon arrival and window screens in bedroom could have been cleaner.
Laundry facilities can be awkward at times, but that comes with the territory.
Enjoyed all ocean-related and other out-door activities.
Would not hesitate to recommend property.

We have stayed st this property twice before, this was our first time in an ‘02’ unit. We have been in an ‘06’ and an ‘11’. The ‘02’ is so close to the water, you can hear the waves at night. Your lanai is literally on the ocean. Maybe 20 feet from water? Sunsets were gorgeous. The unit was well decorated, up to date. We arrived to a perfectly clean unit. The location is second to none and we deeply enjoyed our stay. Only two drawbacks: 1) the pull out mattress was beyond bad. Way too thin, our son found it more comfortable to sleep just on the folded up sofa. 2) I am a bedding snob. I expected far better quality sheets than the thin 45% cotton, 55% polyester sheets that were supplied. The polyester is not conducive to breath ability. And Hawaii is kinda warm and humid. 100% cotton or Bamboo is what I would have expected. And would have brought my own sheets had I known.

Kihei Surfside is a precious gem! Quiet, laid back, but totally well-kept and clean. The sound of the surf rocked us to sleep each night and the birds woke us in time for a quiet beach walk. Our 4th visit - one of our favorite places on earth too Larry!

What an amazing stay at Kihei Surfside 202! The most amazing view every morning for breakfast and the most amazing sunsets at night. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and well furnished. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and cooking necessities. Tommy Bahama beach chairs, plenty of towels, umbrella, and coolers provided. There is no air and can get warm in the evening, but the condo generates a nice cross breeze with the bedroom windows and back door open. The best part about the condo was the sound of the ocean crashing on the rocks outside of the condo every night in bed! Keawakapu beach is 2 minutes away and a perfect uncrowded beach to spend part or all of your day. If you want to experience the entire island, Kihei is absolutely the most ideal vacation. Staying anywhere else, it would have been difficult and time consuming to see all the sights. There are still plenty of beaches past Wailea that would be impossible to visit. Our only minor complaint was that the fan in the bedroom needed balanced so it was noisy and wobbled when on high. Overall an excellent stay, too much to do and never enough time, we will be back! This was the perfect place for the two of us. A 1 bedroom with beautiful view over the waves. Very nicely remodeled and a central location with both restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We had easy drives to Lahaina and even did the sunrise at Haleakala. Walk north in the morning or evening to Kamaole Beach for snorkeling and some sea turtles. We hope to be back in a couple years for an anniversary getaway.

This was our second stay at Kihei Surfside and this condo was beautiful. The view was breath taking, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the location can't be beat. We have traveled all up and down Maui and the beaches, beach path, and beaches are the best at Kihei Surfside hands down! We walked to dinner in Kihei one evening, less than a mile away the flat walk to many restaurants, shops, and even more beaches was so convenient. We will always come back to this location!! We so appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and fluffy beach towels in addition to the little amenities, like the tupperware containers, that made our beach days so easy and relaxing! This condo was clean and comfortable, perfect for the two of us! The owners went above and beyond to be accommodating! We can't wait to come back! Thank you for a spectacular spring break vacation!

We opened the door, walked in, and our breath was taken away with the view! Spectacular. It's directly overlooking the ocean. And the condo was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and so well equipped with everything we could possibly need from kitchen equipment to beach supplies. The building had movies to borrow, books, shuffleboard, bocce balls, and bbq's we were free to use. The condo is close to everywhere -- beautiful beaches, good restaurants, convenient stores. We loved it all.

We have visited Maui at least 15 times in all parts of the island,this is the nicest most comfortable condo of all. Really liked all the little things in the room IE spices dive gear boogie boards beach chairs and umbrella, felt like home. Awesome view beautiful grounds, nice staff. The remote control for the t.v. didn't work tried new batteries still no good. Even with that would love to stay again next year!!!

We walked in, dragging our luggage behind us-looked up and stopped. The view!! I knew at that moment this was why we were staying here. We spent part of our honeymoon in this condo. The condo itself was not fancy, but we didn't need fancy. It had a bed and a bath-and a lanai with an amazing view of the ocean! That was all we needed. It actually also had a very nice kitchen that my husband used often to cook for us to save money on restaurant bills. Plus the location is great for the beaching and shopping in the Kihei and Wailea areas. The only issue we had was that there was construction happening in the condo next door. It created a lot of noise so we weren't really able to stay in the condo to relax during the daytime. But, we just went to the beach just outside instead!

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary by spending 10 days in this awesome property. The photos and description accurately describe the property, appearance and amenities. The property was clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this to others for many reasons. It is hard if not impossible to beat this location. Being on the 2nd floor just 10 steps to the ocean and walking distance to Kihei boat launch gave us a front row seat for watching turtles, dolphins, paddle boarders, wave runners, outriggers, boats and snorkelers go by. We also had a front row seat to watch the sunset every evening and eat dinner on the lanai while watching games of bocce ball and Frisbee on the beautifully maintained lawn before taking evening strolls on the beautiful Keawakapu beach around the corner. Although we snorkeled 7 different locations on Lanai and Maui (being this close to Wailea you have LOTS of great choices close by), the snorkeling just outside the condo and a short hike to Kamaole beach was great so try there first! We bought groceries at Costco and the nearby Safeway and cooked all our meals in the gourmet kitchen and found only a few things missing. We had a fabulous stay in unit #202 and I hope we get back there soon! Mahalo for sharing it with us!!

Words cannot due this condo justice -- just like photos can't really do Hawaii justice! We truly enjoyed your beautiful condo! It was the PERFECT spot! Your condo was everything you promised - and so much more. We have rented VRBO many times, but your condo is by far the best we have experienced -- everything was there that we could have imagined we needed. The whole process couldn't have been any easier - the owners were superb to work with and they really have gone out of their way to ensure that everything we needed was there -- and beautiful! The view and beach access is absolutely perfect. We totally enjoyed snorkeling with the giant turtles and watching the dolphins from our balcony. We were fortunate to see a whale even this early in the season. We appreciated and used the beach chairs, boogie boards & snorkel equipment -- what a great 11 days! Thank you so much -- we can't wait to return for a longer visit!

Larry and Sharon, we wanted to extend a HUGE Mahalo to you for allowing us to stay in your condo.It was so perfect in every way for us.There are so many good things to say about the condo/complex and its location. From the lanai the ocean is literally a stones throw away and listening to and watching the surf are simply amazing. The complex is very well maintained and the grounds are lush and inviting. The other guests like to hang out on the grass (which feels like carpet) in the evening and chat and are all so friendly.I am very particular about the aesthetics of my surroundings and your condo was a perfect fit. It was very clean, tastefully decorated, amazingly located and was stocked with every comfort we needed, even down to the extra squishy pillow for me to use .The candles and beautiful art are a very nice touch. The tile work is beautiful and we loved the appliances so much we are going to purchase them for our home. We will be returing again and again. Working with you has also been a breeze. Mahaol!
