SUMMARY
Sweeping ocean and breathtaking neighbor island views from the living, dining, kitchen, bedroom and both lanais. Private ground floor corner location. Minutes from the very best beaches in Maui. Minutes from both luxury and down to earth shopping and dining. Clean, high quality, designer-styled and upscale furnishings. This unit is a rock solid value – you get Wailea location and quality for not much more than a Kihei price tag.

LOCATION
Wailea is the luxury end of South Maui for good reason – many of the very best beaches in the world are here. There are also four world-class golf courses, posh luxury resorts, upscale shopping and fine dining. Kihei, just a few minutes north of here has more down to earth options for shopping and dining as well, so you won’t have to break the bank every day of your visit.

The 18-acre property is centrally located just off of Wailea Ike Drive – with easy access to all of South Maui within minutes. The Piilani Highway starts less than a half mile from your door, so you’ll get moving fast when you leave Wailea for adventures around the island.

There are too many beaches to list – but these four beaches are within a 2-3 minute drive from your front door:

Wailea Beach – Consistently rated one of the world’s best beaches.
Ulua Beach – Quarter-mile long pocket of sandy beach; great for snorkeling & learning scuba.
Mokapu Beach – Good swimming, boogie boarding and excellent snorkeling. Often uncrowded.
Keawakapu Beach – A much loved long sandy beach; Uncrowded, rent ocean gear, snorkeling. A favorite.

The rest of South Maui’s wonderful beaches, including Big Beach are 3-15 minutes away.

Tip: Google mauiguidebook and the beach name to red more about these beaches.

COMPLEX
Wailea Ekolu Village is an 18-acre park-like property with 17 garden-style buildings. The buildings are two-story and small in contrast to the property, with generous amounts of open-space everywhere. Unit 507 located in the area of the property that is closest to the ocean. While it’s fairly close and walking to the ocean is certainly an option for many, most guests will still choose to drive a couple minutes for the convenience.

The park-like rolling hills and lawns are landscaped with tropical flowering plants and trees and boast vast blue ocean views from virtually everywhere. You can see captivating sunsets, dramatic neighbor islands, and the West Maui Mountains punctuating the end of the South Maui coastline. The views are many, and all are spectacular.

It is a short stroll to one of two solar-heated pools and an entertainment pavilion. There is also a BBQ picnic area virtually right outside your back door.

The property sits on the Wailea Blue golf course – this unit is removed from the fairways, but it is an easy walk right from the condo to play a round.

UNIT SPECIFICS
507 is a private, ground-floor corner unit. It has been designer-styled and tastefully furnished with upscale furnishings. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen with glass-top stove and granite countertops. There is a pass-through window to the lanai and year-round perfect view of sunsets over the ocean from inside and out. There is free parking right out front of the unit.

There are a couple charcoal grills with picnic tables just 35 feet from your back lanai – and you will almost always have that all to yourself.

The master bedroom has a top-quality King-sized bed with luxury linens. There is a queen sofa-sleeper in living room. The upscale tropical style living room furniture is centered around a luxuriously comfy down feather couch and chair.

There are two flat screen wall-mounted TVs with premium cable.

Excellent value for the money. View was surprisingly lovely, more impressive than the photos suggest. Property manager Alexa was super helpful.

This is a great property for a good price. Good location to some of the best beaches in Maui. Great view. This property has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. I have listed some suggestions to make this property even better: update welcome book, install a bolted safe for valuables, if someone has not stayed in a while come in and air out condo and spray an air freshener. There was a musty smell upon entry on the first day. It went away after 10-15 minutes of opening everything up. I would definitely stay here again. I will be back in a few years to stay here again.

This unit met all our expectations, great location, great view and great host. Unlike many vacation rentals this unit was supplied with all the little amenities you can't pack. thank you!

This unit had a very nice view of the water. It was within a stone's throw of an excellent coffee shop and a short walk to the beaches and gourmet shops of Wailea. Brown interior decor could have been a bit brighter. But we kept our eyes on the view. Kitchen was well-equipped, split air-conditioner in bedroom worked fine and we were very comfortable. Ekolu landscaping was pretty, swimming pool was quiet but basic.

Nice property with exceptional views. Floors and countertops could have been cleaner. One of the window coverings was broken upon arrival and could not be raised. Toilet in master bath needs repair. Bluetooth music player was not operable. Overall a nice place for the price.

This property had everything you could want. Comfortable, well stocked (loved the sarongs and beach “stuff”). I was initially concerned about the dark nature of the unit and the carpet. That was short lived once we saw the amazing view and opened up all the doors and windows. Highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay in this condo we called home for nearly 2 weeks. We had no idea how perfect this location in Wailea - Kihei was. Close to the beach and the Shops at Wailea are first class (walking distance). Very modern condo, loved all the amenities. Thank you for all the beach chairs, boogie boards, and umbrella. Everything to make this a home away-from-home. We would definitely return to this condo. Community propane grill is available steps away. Wonderful views of the sunset and Molokini Crater from the condo. We had no interruptions from neighbors and bugs were not an issue. Mahalo!

The first thing we noticed when we entered the unit was the incredible panoramic ocean view. Wow! The unit is well outfitted and comfortable. Very convenient to the south Maui attractions. The 1 thru 5 section of the complex is generally quiet with the exception of the upstairs neighbors throwing a couple boisterous dinner parties and dragging their metal chairs across the lanai. That being said they quieted down after sunset. Otherwise a peaceful and enjoyable trip! The owner and property mgr were very responsive and accommodating to our request on a minor equipment issue. We would rent this unit again.

While the unit is stocked well with towels and cooking equipment the unit is not clean. First off I had to kill insects; cockroach, spider and others that I can't identify. This just wasn't a onetime event. It is surfaced clean but if you move anything there is dirt and grime behind it. Additionally, if you use the patio everything there is dirty. The cushions are food and greased stained and just have surface dirt on them and grass clippings left over from weeks ago as there is no color left on the clippings. We moved out of the unit after three days and I contacted the owner who expressed concern stating that "he wanted to make it right". I had made two attempts to speak directly to the owner via voice and email and both times he stated again "I want to make it right". That never happened which is an indication of what you can expect from him. Oh, you pay for cleaning and if they spend 10 minutes doing it I would be surprised. We stayed there for 3 days and paid for 10. I suggest you look elsewhere for a unit and this unit is not HIGH-END as depicted by VRBO.

This was our second visit to Maui and first to South Maui, and have been to Kaui, Oahu, and the Big Island previously. The unit is in a great location in Wailea and closer to the beach than most of the other units in the complex. It is adjacent to a walking path, but was quiet with light traffic at times. Privacy not an issue unless you were on the lanai, but not a significant concern. We enjoyed breakfast and late afternoon cocktails on the lanai every day! The photos represent well, although we usually had some of the blinds down, making it a little darker. Well stocked with appliances, utensils, and the beach bin of chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards was great. The toaster did not work for us but we worked around it and reported at checkout. Everything else was in good condition and clean when we arrived. A community gas grill was steps from the lanai and we used it once - it was clean and worked well. We did not use the pool. The only issue was finding the unit - the address of the office leads one to the street above 507 and there was no signage guiding us to buildings 1-5 (there were signs for buildings on the street above the office). The office had closed when we arrived (5 pm) but some locals directed us. The Shops at Wailea are an 8 minute walk and the Wailea beach path provides great morning walking. We drove to Makena and Po'olenalena Beaches to get away from the resort crowds and enjoy a more local feel. I would not hesitate to rent this unit again and potentially others on the property. Avoid units close to Wailea Ike Drive as there is a lot of traffic on that road and the noise was an issue for people staying in those units. Noise was not an issue at all for unit 507. Thank you for the great stay in Wailea!

Amazing view from the condo, the lanai is fantastic to seat in and enjoy the view. Walking distance to beaches, shops, restaurants. Condo was clean and comfortable. It has everything you need for cooking, and everything for the beach: towels, umbrella, chairs, boogie board etc... close to main road but still surprisingly quiet, did not hear cars from the lanai, or the bedroom. There is a big construction site not far away that we could sometimes hear. It was however not too disturbing (and I am sensitive to noise pollution). Overall very happy with our stay. Would come back!

This property is truly outstanding. The views are to die for. The furnishings are first class, all the way down to kitchen amenities. The "beach chest" has everything you could want or need to enjoy Maui. The owner, Ross, and the on-island contact, Louise, are phenomenal to work with and are dedicated to making you feel at home. My wife and I have been going to the islands for the past 25 years and this property is the best!

The pictures are correct - this is a prime location walking distance to everything. The views were great! Although everything was "tidy" - the place could use a good cleaning. Upon arrival and fussing with an old lockbox we noticed the front entrance could have been cleaned and swept. The indoors has everything you need and is decorated nicely and comfy. The place could use a good cleaning - - i even washed the sheets because they didn't seem fresh - they might have been in a cabinet for some time. We had a hot water problem, but the owner was "Extremely" fast in getting the problem solved!!! He was actually great! Paying $165.00 cleaning fee when the place wasn't that clean was disappointing.

We thought our first place in Lahaina was the best until we walked into this condo for our second portion of our trip. This spacious condo was great for our stay. It was clean and full of amenities. One of the best features was the patio (lanai). We enjoyed breakfast on the outside table and drinks while watching the sunset. The place also had beach chairs, umbrella, towels and fully functional kitchen. The condo has a policy of any leftover items still usable will remain, including sunscreen and unopened food. This was great! We were pleasantly surprised that the fridge had sauces and there were spices in the cabinets. Anything else that remained and was donated to a local food bank as well. Another bonus was the free parking. We had a rental and this was very convenient! Bed was super comfy as well! Thanks for such a lovely stay! If we come back to Maui, we will be sure to stay again.

We LOVE Maui and while we've only stayed in West Maui, this was the first time we stayed in South Maui and this is definitely a Wailea...wow! So many beaches to choose and only minutes away! Great restaurants nearby or just a short drive away to Kihei or Kahului (Sansei's for late night dinner; Thai Mee Up; Matteo's Osteria; Tin Roof) Wailea Ekolu 507 was a beautiful and spacious unit with an extraordinary view of the sunset. Well-stocked with just about everything you need. All you need is to stock the refrigerator on your own! The beach goods (sarongs, beach chairs and umbrellas) were perfect and all we needed for a fun and sun-filled day. Four days was just not enough and we hope to come back soon! WE highly recommend staying here for as long as you can. It's comfortable and quiet! The area is very well maintained and safe!
