We had a wonderful vacation in Maui, and the condo was perfect to come back to after a full day of shopping and exploring. After doing the Road to Hana we relaxed on the lanai and had dinner. We had a couple issues that we had to text the property manager, but she was very responsive and all was taken care of quickly. As far as for the condo items, it seemed to have pretty much everything for the most part, the beach chairs were great but an umbrella would have been nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Great room for entertaining. Lanai is awesome for large groups. Fairly stocked up in the kitchen. I’d definitely rent this same room if I went again. Communication with Fereshteh was super easy and replies were within minutes!! Nothing but great things to say about our stay!!

The place is in a resort, but the corner unit felt very private and homey. The space is large and tastefully decorated, plus had anything we needed for comforts. We enjoyed opening the large doors to create a massive open space with the lanai. Short walk to great pools and spectacular beach. We would 100% try and stay here another time.

This property certainly was paradise in Konea Tower. It was close to the activities, stores, food trucks, etc. However, we did have trouble with Uber Drivers finding us in the Konea Tower, the ice maker in the room wasn't working properly, and other little things like that. Other wise it was great.

Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful island! The resort and rental property was clean and beautiful also. Only issue was every time you open the lanai door the air would kick off. But other than that it was a perfect place to stay. Everything you could need is available on the property. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay here so much. We could walk down the beach in less than 1 minute and I regularly had a nice cup of coffee there in the morning before the rest of my family woke up. Location was the best. I have absolutely no negatives about the place and will stay here any time we may return. Also, the Lanai was amazing and so secluded.

It was so nice and super quiet to be tucked back a ground floor unit. Such easy access to the pools and Dukes. Our family loved being able to run back and forth into our room and not have to wait for elevators. The unit is beautiful! Clean! The A/C makes the master bedroom a bit cold while the rest of the house stays a bit warm and humid but we were outside most of the time and the kids didn’t complain so that’s a win! Very helpful and attentive host!

The bed in the 2nd bedroom was broken. Had to contact owner twice. They were unable to fix so put blocks underneath bed to keep supported. Mattress still sloped down. Toilet in master bedroom had issues. Seat slid every time you sat on and also ran water quite a bit. Had to jiggle handle to stop from running. Hot in living room as fan did not work as no remote. Property manager did say not listed in listing, but would have been nice to have. Overall, condo was dated with issues. Property manager was very quick in responding.

This is a wonderful place to stay, very clean, spacious and the lanai is absolutely perfect! I was a little apprehensive that it was on the ground floor but to my pleasant surprise it was very private. Walking distance to the beach and Duke's restaurant which has great food. I would definitely stay there again.

This was the perfect condo for our trip to Maui with kids (5,7,9). The condo location is like a dream on the Honua Kai property - the spot is ideal. The large patio became a playroom for our kids - immersed in nature and safely within our view. They will remember their time searching for wildlife with such fondness. We plan to return next year and will only stay at this condo!

Our stay at Honua Kai was perfect. The condo was clean and updated. The huge Lanai was perfect for having to small kids and older grandparents. Communication with the property manager was great. The only challenge was parking. Spaces close are limited. We would definitely stay here again.

I will choose my words carefully.
I am confused by all the five star ratings.
I have stayed at the resort before in 2016.
I can understand why families with children would like this condo. It is on the ground floor with a large lanai that is like another living room. Very lovely.
The condo itself is a bit dated. Dirty rug in the living room, nicked furniture, ice maker did not work, many lights did not work, bathrooms have no windows.
The most disappointing thing was the communication with the rental agent. Oh yes, if they want money, they communicate. Otherwise, good luck. We waited well past the check in time to be notified that we could get into the condo. No welcoming notes or gifts. Plenty of rules were left. Well overstated. Especially a note from the owner that seemed angry that she was allowing us to rent her "away from home".
I will definitely go back to the resort but I will not rent from this property manager or owner.
Maui is very special. We had a wonderful time.

Wonderful setting, and easy to maneuver! Ground floor unit with beautiful lanai made it easy to maneuver, and get to the pool and beach. Great facilities and convenient to so much of Maui’s splendor! A few (very) small annoyances with the unit itself. All fixable, and the property mgr was easy to work with.

This Condo is AMAZING!! Perfect location on this property..very spacious and conducive to those who love to enjoy the outdoors on your own private lanai.
Has a great outdoor/indoor feel with the folding glass doors, the bedrooms were laid out well for each to have privacy, and the living space was perfect size.
If traveling with family or with couples you can't go wrong with this unit!!

We have stayed at Honua Kai in the past but this was easily the largest and most spacious unit we’ve had. It was a very nice floor plan for our 2 adults and 3 children ages 5, 7, and 10. The ground floor location was extremely convenient, especially for enjoying all the on site amenities! Everything was neat and clean and ready for us, we had zero issues and communication was very quick on any question we had. Wonderful stay and I would highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this property and Condo. The entire condo was wonderful, but the large outdoor space was amazing. It was just so easy to access and we came and went from the pool and beach back to the condo. It was also surprisingly private which we also appreciated. We also appreciated the coolers, beach chairs, beach toys, and boogie boards there for our use.

Beautiful modern condo on Maui resort. Spacious 2 bedroom condo with master bedroom and bath. The kitchen and living room area has large retractable sliding door onto the lanai.
The resort has multiple small size swimming pool, excellent for family. Beach access and Duke restaurant is on property

We stayed 4 days in the condo. It was Wonderful!!!! Very clean and refreshing when we entered the door. The Bell hops helped us with our luggage and groceries. The property is beautiful. There were beach chairs for us to use and the beach towels were top notch. You cant go wrong with this rental. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise. It was a true blessing to my husband, my niece and myself.

Only suggestion is it would have been nice to have a full set of cushions for the patio furniture and appears our wrist band keys were shut off well before the 11:00 check out time.

We stayed during Christmas 2017 for 10 nights and loved this unit and the property as a whole. Plenty of space for our family of five, and we all enjoyed the pools and beach. The condo is in beautiful condition (new wood floors are a great addition) and is very spacious. Great being on the first floor as well. We especially enjoyed the private outside lanai with the RH patio furniture. Great location - especially Lahaina and the beautiful beaches north of here. Fereshteh was terrific to work with throughout the process and was super easy to get in touch with. We can't wait to return!

We rented with Fereshteh from December 31st - January 16th, not the Honua Kai Resort. As you can appreciate, being in Maui on the busiest time of the year, the resort was filled with people, kids in the pool, lawn chairs all over the grass - it was chaos. But the condo insulated us from all that, the lanai was absolutely fantastic. It was well covered, had tropical plants and decorative walls surrounding it, Restoration Hardware patio furniture (oversize lounger, four chairs with mini coffee tables, and an entire table and chair set to eat outdoors), so we would sun bathe or relax there during the day and we felt so private. I would go to the ocean, take a dip, then head back and rest on the lanai.
Our flight was delayed due to extreme cold in Canada, therefore we arrived at the condo late. Fereshteh was fantastic, she made arrangements for personnel to greet us, take our luggages, and checked us into the condo without any issue whatsoever.
Condo is a two bedroom with an ensuite in each room. The condo has high ceilings so it is very airy and spacious. One ensuite has a shower with double sink, the other ensuite has a shower, tub, and double sink. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, TV, and closet. The kitchen and family room is open concept, granite tops, stainless steel appliances, table and chair set, pullout type sofa with two loungers to match, and ceiling fan. There is a TV in the family room as well. The condo recently upgraded it's floors from carpet to a "hardwood look" tile, it is so clean and well decorated. I use VRBO, Homeaway, and AIRBNB when I travel, the utensils is always hit and miss. Not in this condo, the dishes, glasses, mugs, utensils, pots, pans, toaster, blender, to name a few were perfect. Yes, we cleaned them to our standard and felt totally comfortable using everything. The mugs are from Pier One imports, not some dollar store. Lastly there is a washer/dryer in the room if needed. We used it daily for our bathing suits and clothes.
If you have a vehicle, 5-7 minute drive and you are near Starbucks, gas station, Safeway, Foodland, Walgreens, Front Street, Lahaina Mall, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay (recent host of the Sentry Golf Tournament). If you don't have a vehicle, no problem, across the street is Times grocery store. The condo is in the Konea tower and it is closest to Times!
We felt safe in the condo, we didn't even use the safe. Fereshteh was always a text away and she is amazing.

This place is amazing!!! It has everything that you need to have a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. The beds are comfortable, the condo doesn’t share any walls with other condos so it is private and quiet and the seating area outside is divine. Having small children, a ground floor unit that was still private was great. The owner was easily accessible and easy to communicate with.

We had an amazing vacation, and absolutely no complaints about this property. The condo is clean, new, and spacious. We travelled with four adults total, and two kids. Each couple had a bedroom and the kids shared the pull out sofa. The kitchen was perfect for breakfasts, and we even cooked dinner twice and ate on the spacious lanai. The grounds of this property are beautiful - we loved the pools and the beach was easy to walk to. A very nice beach to spend the day or watch the sunset. There is a market in the Konea tower which was very useful for milk, bread, eggs. We did grocery shop at Safeway, about a 5 minute drive. Parking was very convenient, and we found the wristband keys to be convenient as well. We also liked the towel system that was in place - it was nice to get new beach towels every morning. The king beds were very comfortable, and the condo had so many little extras - like a cooler, beach chairs, and pool noodles - that we found very useful. I would recommend this property - in fact, I think we will book it again for our next trip!
