Thank you for sharing your home, we really enjoyed our stay for our 16th wedding anniversary. Perfect location to many benches, including the one right across the street! Walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. The bbq grills were so convenient. We met so many people in the complex every night at the pool, everyone was so friendly. The only suggestion would be is update the kitchen essentials. Owner/manager very responsive. Can't wait to go back. Mahalo!

Here are the pros: the condo has two bathrooms, the bed was large and comfortable, there was a nice slice of a view from the lanai (perfect for relaxing and watching sunsets), the appliances all worked. Cons: The unit needs a good deep cleaning. The counters and other surfaces had not been cleaned and there was black mold in the master bath. The toss pillows were dirty and had a bad odor. The sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable.
The condo felt quite neglected but could be greatly improved in my opinion if it could get a thorough cleaning.

My experience staying at this unit started with being required to upload pics of my drivers license to a website. This request came while on route to Maui, and there was no way to get the door code without complying. I don't like the idea of a stranger having my DL details but I had no choice. Communication with the host was poor in general. The gate code to enter the complex was wrong, as was the wifi info. I also didn't appreciate the Ring camera on the front door surveiling us.
The condo itself was fine. Clean. Bed comfortable. However, I have never stayed in a VRBO that was so poorly equipped. No bowl in the kitchen to mix a salad or a batch of pancake mix. The pots and pans were old, knives dull. The coffee maker is a K cup, but no coffee supplies provided, not even for the first day. Nothing in the cupboard but salt and pepper. No box of Kleenex in the bathroom. No pool or beach accessories, just chairs that have seen better days.
We left the place better than we found it, donating a Brita pitcher since the one in the unit didn't work. The location is good and the complex itself is nice enough.

This unit is located right off the elevator (convenient) and the trash chute. Although there are posted quiet hours, they are not adhered to by your neighbors. This place is small and although the owner replaced the washer/dryer unit after it flooded the hallway, they said they would refund our cost for laundry at the laundromat and they have not. For the money, this place was a roof over our head, but not much else. Great location close to the beach, but horrible view. And the wifi is only good in the front room... absolutely no connectivity in the back room. It says it sleeps six, but not sure where since there's a king bed and a queen pullout. Sadly, most of these things aren't in the control of the owner, but their poor response for a credit/refund due the broken washer was something I haven't experienced with a vrbo rental before.

Kamaole Sands never disappoints. Close grocery store & beach. 9306 condo was comfortable & clean. But communication with the owner was subpar. Information for the coded gate was wrong. Frustrating after a long day of flying & it was dark. Got the information from the front office the next morning. Took a couple of emails to get WiFi information. Paperwork in the condo said WiFi information would be on a magnet on the fridge, it was not. Overall our 8 day stay was fine & comfortable. Just wish information from the owner was better.

My family and I stayed here for a week. The location is great and absolutely close to everything. Beach, food, groceries, bars and restaurants are all pretty much walking distance or 5 minute drive. Bigger attractions like the Haleakala summit, Makena beaches and even the airport are all fairly close and probably the easiest drive from Kihei town.
The condo itself was very comfortable and had most of the things we needed, the bed and the sleeper were very comfy and there was plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, etc to keep us comfortable.
The pool and the hot tub area are very close to unit, so is the parking space. The pool is open till 10 PM and very nice to relax in after a day of exploring. They also have a no kids hot tub and a family one as well as a small kiddy pool in case you have tiny ones (ours were old enough to just jump in the big pool).
A few minor nitpicks to just be aware of:
1. There is really no additional toys or beach items available. There are a few chairs there but nothing else really available. We did buy and leave a pool tube in the unit. Hopefully they choose to keep it.
2. the AC units are seperate for the bedroom and living room. The living room one works pretty well, the bedroom was is super loud and right next to the bed, so we had to run it more during the night before going to bed and turn it off by the time we went to sleep.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Overall, I would give the unit 4.5 stars. I would give it five stars if the old carpet in the living room was replaced with new tile. The unit was nice and clean when we arrived. Check-in was easy. The lanai is quite nice and can get sun in the morning and for about an hour and a half in the afternoon. Nice view of the ocean. The king size bed and pillows were very, very comfortable. Thank you! A few more kitchen, accessories, i.e. mixing bowl(s) and a barbecue spatula would be helpful. I will stay here again..

The place was clean, organized, and had nice finishings.
Could have had a few more beach towels and boogie boards (we left an extra one behind so now there are two)
We were there for 9 days. The lanai is so nice. It looks over the parking lot and can mainly ony be seen by one spot aroud the table for kids who are not too tall to see over the neighbors wall.
Overall had a great stay. BBQ's and Pool and Ping pong super fun. 5 min walk to ocean.
We booked this place originally as it had the option to sleep 6. We only used it for 4 people which the hide a bed worked well and was comfortable, but we felt it would have been tight for six needing an extra roll in or pop up bed in the dining area to make it work.
Again, perfect for us this time, and would definitely consider returning.

The unit itself is ok... Compared with neighboring units, it could use a little more upkeep. A front screen door would help allow a breeze. There were bugs in the kitchen; this was mentioned on Day 1, but nothing was done for the duration. We killed them each morning, bleached the countertops, and kept everything in sealed large ziploc bags. There were 3 of us staying in the unit; we had two beach towels, and 4 regular towels total. There are two AC units, one portable in the living room on a timer switch, and a second on the floor in the bedroom next to bed where you would get into bed. These were quite loud, and awkward to work around. The balcony door did not lock. The mechanism was completely broken. The dishwasher didn't actually clean dishes. It kinda got them wet. Had to hand-clean everything. The bathrooms were re-done; they looked nice, however access to the master bath is via a very narrow doorway I had to turn sideways to fit my shoulders through. Windows did not seal well (glass slat windows on both sides of condo) that let all noise in, including regular talking-level conversations. The wifi was intermittent; had to restart it a bunch of times to get it to work each day.

A+. Easy check-in. Great host as he answered quickly all my questions. The apartment is huge, has 2 large TVs, all beach items, brand new furniture, etc. Very very comfortable stay. The beach is few steps from the apartment....so convenient!
