NEW TO VACATION RENTAL! In the spirit of Aloha, we welcome you and hope you enjoy the Hawaiian vacation of your dreams while residing as our guests at Kulalani at Mauna Lani 2301. This condo is a beautifully appointed and very well-maintained 2-bedroom 2-bath, 2-level, 1,331 square foot home that is located in the magnificent Mauna Lani resort, just a half an hour ride north from Kona International Airport.
The property is gated, beautifully landscaped, and it contains a guest pass for parking in our guest parking area just a few short steps from your front door.
Our open concept kitchen/living room/dining room features newly upgraded furnishings and artwork that were installed in September 2021. AC (set at a comfortable 72 degrees), WIFI, cable TV, and three smart TVs will provide home-like comfort for you while you relax on your vacation. A landline telephone is installed in the living room in case of an emergency, and our front door is secured by a coded key-less entry pad.
Each of our two very spacious bedrooms includes a comfortable king-size bed, and Hawaiian style dressers and end tables. The artwork in both of our bedrooms was upgraded in September 2021. The upstairs master suite includes a very large master bath with two sinks, a separate shower and a Jacuzzi tub. The downstairs second bedroom is privately located at the end of the hallway. In that hallway you will find a spacious linen closet, another full bathroom, and a washer and dryer for your convenience.
The kitchen is well-appointed and well-equipped with white Hawaiian bungalow style cabinets and beautiful contrasting black granite countertops. A new Bosch refrigerator with an ice maker and water dispenser was installed in August 2021. The other appliances (dishwasher, single oven range and microwave) are all GE Profile appliances. The kitchen contains a full array of smaller appliances, including, a drip coffee maker and a Keurig (depending on your preference), coffee grinder, blender, crock pot, rice cooker, toaster, and hand mixer. The breakfast bar has three very comfortable and contemporary bar stools that were installed in September 2021, as well as a new driftwood beach style dining table with seating for six that was also installed in September 2021.
The covered lanai remains shaded throughout the day due to the lush landscaping surrounding the property, and it is perfect for outdoor dining and enjoying the cool Kona breeze in the evening. The lanai contains a built in Viking barbecue and outdoor sink, as well as the tools you require for outdoor cooking. The lanai's dining area is furnished with a finished teak wood dining table and matching four chair set. Around the corner, the lanai's lounge area has two very comfortable new brown cloth/aluminum chaise lounge chairs and a cocktail table that were installed in September 2021. The outdoor lounge area is perfect for a late afternoon nap after a day at the beach or pool, or afternoon cocktails while enjoying our scenic garden view.
Our HOA at Kulalani at Mauna Lani has provided us and our guests with the best amenities of all the resident neighborhoods in the resort. These amenities include a hotel size lagoon pool with a poolside jacuzzi, a separate, quiet, full-size 25-meter lap pool, a well-equipped recreation center, an outdoor shower, and a second jacuzzi that is hidden behind the recreation center. There you can relax and enjoy spectacular views of the Kohala mountain range.
The Mauna Lani Resort has some of the finest and most beautiful beach and snorkel spots on the island, and for your convenience, you will have a parking pass to enter and park at Mauna Lani Resident's Beach Club, where you can swim, snorkel, and enjoy a great meal at Napua, the club's fantastic and very reasonably priced restaurant. Covered lounge chairs and non-covered lounge chairs are available at the club on a first-come-first-served basis, and you should plan on arriving early to the club, at or before 9 AM, to take advantage of the beach seating.
Beach 49, a magnificent black sand beach is also located on property. Within a few steps of the black sand, there is immediate deep water and large schools of fish. Beach 49 is our favorite, and it has outstanding views of the North Kohala shoreline and Mauna Lani Golf Club. Within a five-minute walk from our unit, there is another easily accessible beach at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel, and along your short walk or drive over to the beach, we recommend you stop at the nearby Petroglyph Park to view the sacred ancient Hawaiian rock-carvings.
On the property, Mauna Lani Golf Club has two majestic championship golf courses with fantastic ocean views and tee markers for all levels of golfers. The North Course is a tighter course that features target golf and a finishing hole that rivals any ocean golf hole in Hawaii. The South Course is more open, a bit longer, and it has ocean views from most of the holes. Other nearby golf courses within a short 15-minute drive from 2301, include, Mauna Kea, Hapuna, Waikoloa Beach, and Waikoloa Village. These courses combined are by far the best public-play courses on the island, and they are perfect for a family or golf buddies' get-away.
Within a short 10-minute walk from 2301, you will find a convenient and well-stocked grocery store that contains an R Fields Wine Shop, and some of the best charcuterie, cheese, antipasto, and other specialty items that make for great meals you can take with you on the go to the beach or other sights. For your beach and sightseeing convenience, 2301 is stocked with a large portable cooler and two insulated lunch bags.
Minimum night varies seasonally 4 -10 nights. This is a non-smoking, no pets property.

This property is well located, clean and fully equipped for eating in rather than spending an exorbitant amount eating in. Beds are very comfortable and there is very little outside noise. Master bathroom is large with a great shower. Would definitely rent this property again.

Very well appointed home in a quiet and conveniently located neighborhood. We loved the beach gear provided. There were only 2 of us, but the home could easily fit 4 comfortably. I would definitely stay here again!

Road, maintenance (lawn), and utilities (garbage removal, utility repair) were very disruptive and load. Home itself was as presented and in excellent shape. Everything was arranged, organized and neat. A nice surprise to find home well stocked with toiletries, paper towels, bandaides, coffee filters, etc. welcome information in property was very thorough and much appreciated.

We stayed for 2 months at this wonderful Kulalani condo. The amenities were amazing. We enjoyed the pools, hot tubs and gym, as they were great. The condo itself was clean, spacious, and well laid out with just a few decorative pieces that enhanced the space. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make meals and the cool filtered water from the fridge was a great plus! We loved the split floor plan with the primary room and bath upstairs while the guests were on the first floor. The Mauna Lani Beach pass was really great to have as well. This place was amazing and we hope to be able to come back and stay here on a future trip to this area.

The home had just the right amount of amenities for your stay to be comfortable. Only thing that stood out was the owner’s car parked in the garage. It reminded us that we’re just crashing at someone’s place. It’s not necessarily a negative thing. We’re just accustomed to having access to the garage, since we do use it to park our vehicle.
What got us to want to come back are the staff! They’re friendly, professional, and very responsive. They definitely get 5/5 from us.

This was our second stay in this development (Kulalani), and it's a terrific location; there's a Foodland about a third of a mile away, you have access to the private parking lot of the Mauna Lani Beach Club (it's advisable to arrive early-ish as this beach fills quickly), and a black sand beach is also nearby.
Mauna Lani itself is close enough to the airport and Kona to be convenient but not too close. The larger Waikoloa Beach resort area is a few minutes away with its shops and restaurants, but Mauna Lani is quieter and feels a bit more laid back.
Waikoloa Village is about 6 miles or so up the hill inland (not to be confused with Waikoloa Beach), and the mall there has a number of really nice food-court restaurants when you and your children tire of burgers and chicken strips (Emma's Kitchen has a lovely, garlicky jook with the amount of black pepper you saw Jack use in a Three's Company revenge pasta dish; Village Pizza is much better than any pies you can find near the resorts).
Waimea and the Big Island Brewhaus as well as Merriman's is an easy drive, and when it's time to go up the hill to Mauna Kea and over to Hilo or the volcanoes the roads are also accessible from Mauna Lani.
The property itself is well-appointed and comfortable with a kitchen that's surprisingly well-stocked for a rental. The rental company's concierge was very responsive and helpful, even on the weekend. We're already planning our next trip back, hopefully later this year.

What a wonderful house. Love the 2 stories, A/C & comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped. There is a cooler & 2 beach chairs available too. Not far from the most beautiful beaches in the world. Enjoyed the Beach Club. Only thing I would change is the light bulbs throughout the house. I don't care for blue lights.
