Great location in Wainiha just off the beach. The cottage is very well stocked with extras of everything. It’s very clean and super comfortable. The Management Team was friendly and helpful with all pre-arrival questions.

This is a sweet, charming, throwback type of accommodation. It has a Hawaiian beach feel to it that is harder to come by as these properties are being demo'ed for McMansions etc. We would stay there again. It has easy access to an uncrowded beach. Thanks for everything!

This is a quaint house in a great location, with lots of kitchen gadgets. As others have said, the walls in the bedrooms don't go all the way to the ceiling, so it is best for one couple, maybe with some young kids-- when one person has lights on, or is talking, everyone will see/hear them. Even though it is only a few minute walk to the beach, of course you don't get that "right on the beach" feeling.
One reason I chose this house were the many reviews that noted how clean it was. However, while the house was superficially clean, it needs a deep cleaning—lots of insects, dust, etc. near the walls, behind the beds etc. Outdoor furniture very dirty; we cleaned the table so we could use it. Some of the linens in the closet were clean, but in many cases smelly. Most of the dishes in the cabinets were not very clean especially when we got behind the front row.
Our contact Joanne was very attentive in setting up our visit, and when we left, I sent her an email about the need for a deep cleaning, and she immediately thanked us and said she would talk to the team. So, could just be a one time oversight.

A very quiet part of the island. The beaches are wonderful and easy to get to. Riding the bicycles around was great.

We loved the little home nestled under a beautiful guardian tree with flowers and Birds all around.
The house had everything we needed including bikes. snorkel gear and vitamix blender.
The only little challenge was that the beach is right in front of the house however there is another house as a private property and you have to organize an accesss if you want to go directly, so you walk through someone’s garden. Otherwise there is a public beach access about 3 min bike ride.

One of the few remaining authentic cottages in Haena, oozing old Hawaiian charm and homeliness. The location can’t be beaten, just a stone’s throw from the north coast’s best beaches, which are otherwise impossible to park at; so having the ability to walk or cycle (3 bikes are provided) to Tunnels Beach is an absolute godsend.
Apparently a complete rebuild of the house is on the cards. But my advice is to book now and enjoy the old-world Kauai vibes while they last!

Our family enjoyed our time here, and the proximity to Tunnels Beach (a short walk) and Hanalei (a 10 minute drive) was excellent. The home was incredibly clean and had all of the things we needed during our stay (great linens, washer/dryer, full kitchen). One thing to note is the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling, so you don't get a ton of privacy in the bedrooms. Fine for our family, but not great if you're traveling with two couples. One other thing I wish we would have done was packed coffee in our suitcases. We arrived late evening (around 8 pm) and every store on the island was closed. Having coffee readily available (without driving) would have been so nice!

Our group found the property to be even better than pictures showed. The layout was great, allowing everyone to gather around while cooking and eating. Short walk to exclusive access to tunnels was amazing. Property was immaculately clean and beds were very comfy. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was very well equipped with everything we needed. We loved having the beach right there. We played bocce ball on the lawn every night. Overall, it was a great stay!

We had a great time in the Haena property.
The management team took care of all of our needs promptly?
The beach, only a few steps away, is lovely.
We enjoyed snorkeling just a short walk down the beach at Tunnels beach.
The Napali Coast hike was rough but well worth it. Gorgeous views!
FYI- the helicopter tour ( doors off) Spectacular!

We enjoyed our stay at this property, in a quiet residential neighborhood with amazing proximity to beautiful beaches. The cottage is on the older side and definitely showing some wear and tear, but the beds were comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, surroundings quiet and peaceful. Perfect size and baby-friendly for the three of us.

The house was exactly how I pictured Hawaii. Our host Joanne was amazing. The house was the cleanest Vrbo house I have ever stayed in.

You can’t beat the location as far as scenery goes!!! So incredibly beautiful. It is about a 10 min drive from Hanalei so be sure to grab groceries in Hanalei before heading out.

This property is the perfect North Shore beach cottage, in an amazing location, literally steps away one of the best secluded beaches on the north shore, yet just a two minute beach walk from the world famous Tunnels Beach. The property is quiet, air conditioned, furnished with high quality towels and linens. It will be our north shore go to destination on future trips.

Such an amazing location, right next to Tunnels beach (a short walk via either the road or along the beach), and also a short easy drive to Hanalei for restaurants and shop (not to mention some of the best shave ice on the island at Wishing Well)! House was true to the listing, with all the amenities we needed, and a great large lanai for meals or relaxing. Joanne was very responsive, and able to provide additional help with the vacation if needed. The large grassy areas both in front and back of the house are great for kids to play in too. A perfect spot to spend some time on the north shore!

Nice little house that is an easy walk to the beach in a quiet neighborhood. The orange and grapefruit trees were a bonus.

This house is situated one house back from a beautiful, quiet stretch of beach on the north shore of Kauai. Often we were the only people on the whole beach (vs. one day we spent at the very crowded south shore beaches)
Very well equipped kitchen and overall a well-appointed house. Only thing to be aware of is that the two bedrooms don't have ceilings - they're open to the lofted space along with the rest of the house. Not an issue for us, but if you needed real privacy (couple traveling with children, two couples in different rooms, etc.), it's worth knowing.

Wow, for the price of nice hotel room on Kauai you can get a private home that is a one minute walk to a spectacularly beautiful Hawaiian beach. Mind you there is a beach front home on the same property and you have to walk underneath it (it is on stilts) to reach the beach but that is little matter. If you want that beach front home its going to cost you many times more. The grounds are large, private and gorgeous. Full of flowers and orange trees with ripe tasty oranges. The two homes are far apart and I never noticed or heard the family of 4 in the other rental. The beach in front of the property was almost always empty and postcard perfect, but not swimmable, at this time of year anyway. Tunnels Beach is a half mile 15 minute beach walk if you want to go snorkeling there. There was a high surf warning with waves off shore that were several stories high so I only got to snorkel once. Watching the sunset behind the Bali Hai is a lifetime experience. I did the hike on the Kalalau Trail all the way to Hanakapiai Falls. Not for the faint of heart. The trail to the falls made the Kalalau Trail seem like a paved walkway. But the falls were spectacular and you can swim there. Be aware you have to have reservations if you want to hike the Kalalau Trail these days. Loved the home. Completely private, very nice bathroom and shower. Kitchen facilities and appliances were excellent. I slept well and never heard a thing at night. Complete silence. If you want access to the beauty of the north shore of Kauai at a good price point this is it.

The space is clean and well maintained. The locale is great if looking for privacy and away from the hustle and bustle. You are fairly removed from restaurants and food options, but the kitchen is great for cooking. Overall loved my stay and would stay again!

Quaint older property. Good quiet location. Tunnels Beach had excellent snorkeling & was within walking distance. Hard to keep house cool (early September). Property did have deferred maintenance issues.
