This is an older home with need for some repairs, screens, window framing, lanai slider but it was clean and right across the bike path from the beach. Host Ellen responded quickly to our messages and helpful in recommending activities. It was unseasonably hot during our stay and the home, like many in hawaii, does not have air conditioning, but plenty of fans and windows to catch the breeze.The front two bedrooms could use a mattress topper as the beds were very firm.

This home truly made our Kaua‘i dreams come true.The location was ideal—perfectly situated in Kapa‘a, which gave us easy access to both the north and south shores without long drives. Kapa‘a itself is an absolute gem: charming, peaceful, and full of local character.Each morning, we woke up to the sound of crashing waves and stunning ocean views—it felt like paradise. The nearby coastal bike path is scenic and relaxing, and the town has everything you could need, including some of the best coffee shops and restaurants on the island.Ellen was an exceptional host—warm, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home.We would absolutely recommend this property to our friends and family, and we can’t wait to return ourselves!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Oceanfront Harmony. The house was perfect for our family group ages 16-83. We enjoyed the outdoor space & even grilled the tuna that we caught one evening. The location is perfect- we've stayed farther north in Anahola and much prefer being right in Kapa'a. We walked the beach almost every morning and walked into town for groceries & treats. Ellen is an excellent host- she provided us with so much great information on activities and restaurants. If we are fortunate enough to return to Kauai, we will definitely stay here again.

The location of this house is perfect - near the beach and walkable distance to grocery stores. It was comfortable for our family and the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and utensils. The property owner was extremely responsive to all my questions and requests, even delivering propane for the barbecue on Christmas morning!

A beautiful home right off the shore of the ocean. Location was super convenient to catch the beautiful sunrises and swim throughout the day. The cabana had everything we needed for the beach and towels and bags throughout the house for our convenience. The living room was comfortable with great outdoor spaces for meals, recreation and socializing. The house was also in a great location on the island allowing for easy trips to any location.

Quaint, nicely equipped, historical type house in a quiet traditional neighbourhood. Having the walking path and beach literally off your front porch is a great feature.
Morning coffee and evening cocktails over looking the surf were great ways to start and end your day.would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning.

This house is amazing with the indoor living spaces and the outdoor space. We had 6 adults in our party and everyone was very impressed. The sound of the ocean was great. Just across the bike path was the beach. Walking distance to town and groceries.
The beach supplies were perfect. Cooler, boogie boards, chairs, snorkeling gear made it so easy to plan your outings.
I would highly recommend this vacation house.

Great location, but the house was not clean, and had roaches. Needs major attention and good cleaning. The outdoor seating area hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The Jack and Jill bathroom didn’t have hot water. The hosts were very nice but I would not recommend until these issues are taken care of after each renter.

This was a perfect home for our family trip! It had everything we needed for 7 of us. The beach was right there for taking a dip after our days adventures. Kapaa is our favorite part of the island, right in the middle of everything.

This house is in South Kapaa so you miss the traffic when going south. It’s in a neighborhood and a few steps from a beach that locals use. We loved the walking path to beach and town. The host, Ellen, was so nice and very accommodating. The house is an older island home so it has some wear and tear, but is clean, spacious and very comfortable for large groups- we were 5 adults and 2 children.

Had a wonderful time. House worked out perfectly for our family and we enjoyed grilling and playing games in the cabana area. Great location just next to a fabulous walking trail and close to town. Hosts were incredibly responsive to any of our requests. Really enjoyed our time here.

The stay at Oceanfront Harmony was fantastic! Six adults stayed in Oceanfront Harmony and four adults stayed in the neighboring property Oceanfront Rhythm. There was plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood was nice. Ellen was a fabulous hostess. She is very kind.
She checked in with us a couple times to see how we were doing. She was readily available to answer questions.

Beautiful location walking distance to grocery stores, shopping, 4 beaches and restaurants! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. Loved the in and outdoor games. Only drawback, being from dry Colorado was the hot humid house. It has a whole house fan, ceiling fans, floor fans but was still hot enough I didn’t sleep at night.

There is not enough positive things I can say about the Ocean Front properties. The homes were very clean when we arrived, with a wonderful welcoming gift basket in each house. Mrs Ellen was extremely helpful by sending me a full list of recommendations for activities, beaches and restaurants. The houses comfortably accommodated 11 people ranging from 15-69 years old for 10 days. Mrs Ellen stopped in to check on us, provided us with whatever we needed, and brought her puppies by to allow the kids to get in all the dog loving they could handle. The location is absolutely perfect. We grilled nightly, played yard Yahtzee, corn hole, and cards. We were able to watch the sunrise everyday from the front yard and the beach. We were provided with coolers, chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and all the sand toys! I can’t wait to return for another visit with this amazing host and property. 10/10 recommend.

Great place for our extended family to vacation together. The two elementary age grandkids each had a small room of their own with a desk, which our granddaughter used for her drawing. The adults’ accommodations were good. We used the screened in porch for most meals. The shared cabana was a good location for yoga or relaxing with a book. We enjoyed walking or jogging along the shoreline paved path that passed Baby Beach and other nice beaches for swimming. Another nice family was staying at the adjoining property and all the kids had a great time playing together. Ellen was very helpful in sending emails with lots of ideas on things to do.

The house was meticulous and very spacious for our party of 4 adults plus 2 kids. It's rare to find such a large place on Kauai. Loved all the outdoor seating and private yard, the screened in porch, and heated outdoor shower.
The nearby beach is best for sunbathing and wading with the toddler, which we did almost daily!
This is the best stocked rental I've ever stayed at!! PLENTY of needed supplies (not just a few random things, but a surplus of everything you need - detergent, paper towels, beach towels, USEFUL kitchen supplies, beach gear, baby gear, etc.). It sounds odd but I especially appreciated the tupperware!
Ellen was very welcoming and helpful, left the lights on for our late arrival, and left the BEST welcome gifts (fresh pineapple and a sampling of local foods)!
Remember air conditioning is rare on Kauai and the house does get very hot during the day. The house fan and multiple ceiling fans in every room are crucial!

We had an incredible stay at Oceanfront Harmony! The house was perfect for our group (seven adults) and we took advantage of the lanais, outdoor cabana, and all the beach items that were provided. You cannot beat the location, the ocean was literally right out front, with a small beach half a block away. Plus it’s location in Kapa’a was very central to the entire island and walking distance to the cute downtown area. Ellen was an extremely friendly and accommodating host who provided lots of info on all the different areas on the island. She definitely helped make our stay amazing! We loved our time at Oceanfront Harmony and highly recommend it to all!

The home was lovely; the view was amazing. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of waves. Comfortable furnishings, everything you need for the beach: towels, chairs, umbrellas, lots of snorkel equipment, boogie boards. Ellen is a wonderful host. She provides a customized list of recommendations of things to do, places to eat, and local information. The house is large enough for a big/extended family vacation. The beach across road from the property is protected with about 2 feet of water, a perk for families with children. I loved sitting on the deck in the morning with coffee, my book, and the ocean. Peaceful. Relaxing. Rejuvenating. We would stay here again. We had a wonderful stay.

We've rented this house almost half a dozen times now and it never fails to be fantastic. The host is excellent and responsive, the house is fully stocked from laundry detergent to flashlights by every bed to snorkel gear and boogie boards. Directly oceanfront with just a small driving path to cross, it's ideally located in Kapa'a which offers easy access to the whole island. Definitely a gem.

We stayed one week with friends and family at Ocean Harmony! We've stayed at quite a few VRBO properties in the past and I have to say this was well beyond our expectations. Everything we needed was provided and more. The home provided more than enough space for 5 of us with amazing views and sounds of the ocean. Ellen was a dream to deal with and helped with anything we needed. The list of attractions she provided us before our arrival also helped make the trip amazing. We will be back!

This property was an all around hit with our family. The layout was perfect for traveling with our adult children and teenage nephew. Everyone had plenty of privacy and the lanai was perfect for meals and game nights. The outdoor shower was a perfect way to start or end your day. I didn't think we would use the large soaking tub but it was great after riding the bike trail. We loved swimming in the little beach up the street. We walked to town for shopping and meals. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and safe. Ellen met us at the house before check in to let us drop off our luggage. By the time we went to lunch and got groceries, the house was ready for us. This was a big help. The house was well supplied. We had everything we needed. The cabana area was perfect morning yoga or just relaxing.

Ocean Front Harmony was the perfect place for our group of seven (two families - 4 adults, 3 kids) to kick off our Kauai adventure. The house was true to the description and pictures. Gorgeous ocean views, a beautiful yard with plenty of space for the kids to run around and a central location from which to explore the island.
Inside, the layout of the house was perfect for our group. The kids took over the back two bedrooms and bathroom and the adult couples each had bedrooms and bathrooms of our own. We never felt cramped. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things needed to cook a home meal and the bathrooms had plenty of towels for everyone. There were also boogie boards, beach chairs, beach bags, beach umbrella, snorkel gear, and a cooler for our almost daily beach excursions.
Ellen, out host was exceptional! She provided us with a detailed list of things to do in the area and beyond, based on our interests. She was also super responsive and checked in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. We could tell just how much effort she puts into making her guests feel welcome and ensuring they have a wonderful stay. She is the best host we have ever come across. We would recommend this house and Ellen to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kauai. We can't wait to be back!
