Really enjoyed our stay. We ended up not even using the air conditioner in the living area so we could enjoy the tropical breezes and listening to the ocean roar just steps from the porch. Also the provided cooler and snorkel equipment was much used and appreciated.

We love Kona and generally Sea Village 1203. I would like to say however that it needs some TLC by the owners. I would recommend that they come and spend a week in their unit and experience the kitchen and bedroom. It could be quite nice with some upkeep. The lanai has the ability to shade the intense afternoon sun but the shade has been broken for years rendering it useless. It's a shame really.

We really liked the view of the bay and the fish from the balcony. The sound of surf is one of the reasons we go to the ocean. It was an easy walk to the market/restaurants. We appreciated that the kitchen was equipped with all of the cookware and dishes. We enjoyed having room AC units in both the living and bedroom. The Bose mini speaker was nice to have.

On the island for 11 days and this is our first time staying at this property. We have been to the big Island about 20 times. The ocean view is fantastic and the small A/C units make life so much better. Overall the place was great with just a few short comings. Depending on who is staying upstairs it can be quite loud in the condo and the stairway can get a bit loud as well. The location is great and the Lanai makes it all worth it. The kitchen wasn't 100% clean on arrival with dirty dishes in the dishwasher, but the bedroom and bathroom were great. We would stay here again.

We absolutely loved the location of this unit. The ocean view was spectacular. Wonderful sunsets. The water was so clear you could see the little yellow and black fish from the lani. The Sea Village was close to downtown Kona and the Market Place. The grounds were very nice. We enjoyed the bbq, salt water pool and jacuzzi. The unit was well stocked and in pretty good shape. It could use a bit of an update but still acceptable. When we arrived the unit had not been cleaned but Wayne, our host had someone come out and clean it right away. He also refunded our cleaning fee because the unit wasn’t ready which was very good. Our stay was wonderful. We loved it so much that we would definitely stay there again. Location, Location, Location!!

Great location overlooking the ocean it was so close with great views of the bay and open ocean with cruise ships coming in the odd time. Real close to downtown to walk 1.2 kms for dinner or drinks. Easy access to drive out from to do other site seeing. The ocean surf can be loud but its ocean surf and part of the full experience. The bbq and pool area very well maintained and great place to see the sun while bbqing. The condo itself was well provided for in decor and kitchen ware.

This condo sits above the waves in a beautiful bay where whale sightings are not unusual. The exterior property is well maintained. We did not have insects at all which is always a challenge in this climate. The staff were responsive and anticipated needs. It was a nice touch to find ice made and a couple of cold sodas in the refrigerator upon our arrival. The interior of the condo was immaculate! The only downside to this property is the livingroom has a hide-a-bed couch and only one chair for sitting. We like our evenings ‘comfy’. For many visitors who spend little time in their accommodation it would not be an issue. The condo has air conditioners, but they were noisy. We chose to use the overhead fans which worked for us to stay cool.

This wonderful suite is in an immaculately maintained waterfront condo complex within walking distance of town. Suite 1-203 is waterfront with a stunning view up to Kailua Village and the open ocean. The condo is very well appointed. The kitchen has everything for one to prepare meals. The new sofa bed is very comfortable and easy to set up.

We enjoyed our stay here. The condo was clean and functional with the best views and sounds. The balcony pretty much sits over the ocean and you can hear the waves from inside. We loved watching the many shades of blue from the ever-changing ocean. The condo was well-equipped with many of the necessities that just aren't convenient to carry on a plane. The only issue we had was regarding the AC. We were afraid to use the AC too much because of possibly being charged extra for abnormal use. The phrasing "abnormal use" is somewhat vague, so we really didn't know how much was too much, nor did we know how much extra we would be charged if we used the AC too much. We ended up only using the one in the bedroom while we were sleeping.The house was pretty warm to us, especially after a day of adventure in the hot sun. Overall it was a great place and we would stay there again should we ever make it to Hawaii again.

My wife and I planned a quick one-week escape from work and family to rest, reconnect, and recharge. When we were considering Kona, friends warned that “there isn’t much to do there.” Upon hearing that, we booked! The condo is in a smaller complex walking distance to the downtown area. The unit was clean, well equipped and best of all had the most amazing balcony and view. Corrinna was amazing to work with and we even got to meet her. Our stay was right after the destruction and loss of life in Lahaina…many of the folks on in Kona were personally impacted and our hearts still remain heavy for them. With that said, we highly recommend!

The view was very nice. I was surprised that this rental was run down and in need of updating. The tile in the bathroom needs to be repaired before it causes a leak in the lower unit. The floor needs a good clean. The patio door track looks very dirty. The wall needs to be repaired. The bedroom air conditioner needs to be replaced. It doesn’t get the room cool. I would recommend painting the ceiling and walls, because it’s in bad shape. I was very happy the real estate company came out fast to address an issue with the tv. If they would paint, repair and clean it would be a very nice place to stay.

The view is even more beautiful than photos can describe! The place was very clean, bed was comfy, and there was everything you could think of provided. The only small complaint I have at all is that it got very warm at times, and it was hard to be comfortable knowing we might be charged for extra electricity. Overall one of the best places I’ve stayed in my extensive Hawaiian islands travels!!!

My partner and I enjoyed this property. We only stayed three nights, but it was close to a lot of great things.
The pool was decent, and the grounds were great. The view was the best part of the entire thing. It was so nice to have a deck to overlook the ocean.
The only cons were the kids who kept knocking on our front door, and yelling hello. I don’t know what that was about. A couple of the ceiling fans weren’t working properly. The bed wasn’t in great condition. Also, the unit could use some pest abatement.
If we were in the area again, we would consider staying here. I don’t think I would spend a long vacation on this property, however.

The back door slider does need some serious attention very difficult to open and shut and does not completely latch.

This was a great place to stay. We arrived to an uncleaned condo, but Wayne was on it right away, and the cleaning crew arrived promptly, doing a lovely job. There are a few things that could use some maintenance, but overall it was a great stay. We very much enjoyed sitting on the lanai right over the water. It's also very close to the shops and restaurants, so very convenient.
Wayne is a great host, and very accommodating to any of our needs/requests.

Our stay was beyond our expectations. The unit was fantastic, literally right on the ocean, which was important to us for this trip. We ate meals there and loved the crashing waves on the rocks below. We did not expect the wonderful atmosphere of other guests and owners who gather in the central area to bbq and chat, and eat under the stars with sturdy picnic tables and torchlight. The swim pool and hot tub were also wonderful. The unit itself is clean and bright and had everything that we needed. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, even the pull out sofa was a hit with the family. We had plenty of clean towels and extra linens and blankets. We hope to stay again sometime in the future.

Only negative for us is that it is a wooden building so if the people above are heavy footed you will hear it. Fold out couch bed is adequate but the mattress couldn’t be described as luxurious. This may be as close to the water as you can get. You are practically over the water when on the lanai. The condo was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Both AC units worked well, although we found we didn't need the one in the main room in the evening. Just open the slider and enjoy the sound of the waves. The location of the condo on the property is fantastic, close to parking and grills, but still quiet. The property itself is conveniently located and easy to get to restaurants, beaches, shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice, reasonably furnished & equipped, and fairly priced 1-bedroom oceanfront condo. Pool, hot tub, gas grilles all available. Longish walk downtown. AC in living room and bedroom are effective, but noisy - but that masks talkative guests and kids on stairs and landing immediately outside the bedroom. Lanai is lovely, especially in the morning. Only a poor too soft mattress in serious need of replacement keeps me from giving it 5-stars across the board. If you have any back issues be aware. If that were resolved, we would highly recommend this unit.

Coming back to the Big Island, we would 100% look for this rental again. We stayed here the end of Feb into March. Description and photos of property are accurate. You cannot get closer to the water! We saw whales and dolphins right from the lanai. We brought binoculars and could see them up close. The air-conditioned bed room is a must for my husband but did not need to use the one in living room with a nice breeze and wanted to hear the ocean. The lanai is an amazing spot for dinner and sunset.

As other people have written, the location of this property is outstanding! It is a second floor unit with the lanai practically on the ocean! I can't tell you how wonderful it was for someone from the frozen north of the US to experience eight days of the sights and sounds of the ocean just outiside their living room.
The description of the property was extremely accurate. It was clean in good condition. We've done a few Vrbo rentals and this one was equipped the best of any we've experienced (kitchen basics, towels, linens, etc_) The swimming pool, hot tub, and gas grills were located very near this unit and we used them a number of days.
We would definitely love to stay here again if we are in the area!

I grew up spending my summers at Sea Village and to get to come back here 25 years later was just amazing. The unit has been kept up and all the appliances work great. Toiletries, dishwasher, washer and dryer all were stocked. The unit has 2 portable AC units which came in handy when sleeping. Just an amazing place. I will definitely come back and stay here again!

Unbeatable location with breathtaking view overlooking the ocean. Falling asleep and waking up to crashing waves was exactly what we wanted. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Had all the basic amenities we needed (coffee grinder was broken but we just went and bought ground coffee) including all beach and snorkeling gear. Great grounds with well equipped barbecue area where we grilled local fish and grass fed beef purchased at nearby grocery store. All others staying here were friendly and respectful of the quiet hour rules. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful location - The waves crash 40 feet away! Tourist area is a mile away and the rest of the island is easily available. We were a little confused about the request on the refrigerator to wash all the linens before leaving, which was impossible, even if the washing machine had been working. The dryer worked fine. We left salt with the other spices there for future use. Just a great place for a Hawaii stay!

Nice unit with full kitchen of supples. Great to watch whales, dolphins & surfers. Location is just 1 mile from town. We had a great time!!

The two of us stayed at Sea Village 1-203 from April 1st to April 5, 2020 during the Corona Virus scare. The condo had everything we needed for a great stay. Including sand chairs for the beach, boogie boards, snorkel gear and ice chests of a couple different sizes. The condo was clean and the kitchen well-stocked with spices and minor stuff you need to cook efficiently. The king-size bed was comfortable and we fell asleep listening waves crashing on the rocks right outside the living room as this place is right over the shore.

We are annual visitors to this location, which is ideal for 2 people. Pull out bed available for short time guest. Wonderful ocean front view.0ne bureau is now inside a locked closet, so storage is limited, otherwise 5 stars.

We loved our stay. The check in process was great. We loved the location. Easy walk to town. The views were fantastic with the ocean waves crashing right under the deck. Great sunsets can also be seen from the deck.

Wonderful lanai over looking Kailua bay. Whales, dolphins, and many reef fish observed! We’d love to come back!
