Our second visit was much like the first, magical! The condo sits maybe 20 feet away from the water. I highly suggest staying here if you’re looking for beach front, it doesn’t get much better. We will stay here again the next time we come visit!

Chris communicated about property access and time parameters clearly. Lots of comforts of home as far as cooking supplies and sunblock and any little thing you might imagine. Way better than a hotel. Very comfortable bed. Nice shower. Newer remodel done and appliances.

Unit met expectations. Has useful utensils (tongs, knives, spatulas, etc) and good selection of pots/pans. Has enough dishware to cover a few days before dishwasher. Bedroom mattress was terrific! We used internet TV to watch local news. The cable TV box didn't work (wouldn't turn on, tried with working electric outlets). We appreciated the first floor unit for easy access to beach and pool.

My husband and I took our daughter to Maui for a senior graduation trip. We loved the first floor walk out condo steps from the beach, view, and amenities. Sugar Beach is a beautiful location and we had a great vacation.

This place is wonderful and a great location to the beach and pool. The king size bed is comfortable, but the pullout couch isn’t great. We had to buy our own beach chairs, sand toys, and floaties, as well as some plastic plates and bowls so we wouldn’t be fearful of our kids breaking dishes at meal time. Be advised, Kihei, and sugar beach specifically is very windy. If you want to swim at the beach, do so in the mornings before the wind kicks up. We did not receive much communication from Chris, but it all worked out. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, but that isn’t because of the unit, we would just prefer a less windy part of the island.

I snorkeled in the beach outside the condo and it was fantastic! Swimming with turtles every time. I would advise to have water shoes or snorkel right away so as to avoid cutting your feet on the coral.

Great location halfway between Lahaina and Wailea. Not much action(restaurants or shopping) in this area but less than 15 min drive to get to it. The condo itself was very clean and had every accommodation you'd need except beach chairs. The bed was incredibly comfy. Check in was super easy. They send you all the info you need the day before. We didn't use the lanai/ patio but it is right on the beach.

Overall, had a really great stay. The views are just as described. Ocean is right out the front door with sea turtles surfing in the waves. The bed was very comfortable. Full kitchen with everything you night need to cook. Appreciated the starter kit. Wifi was sufficient for 3 of us. Limited dining options without driving, just one sandwich shop you can walk to. Most people probably don't do laundry on vacation, but we do. There seems to be an issue with the ventilation when the dryer is running even when following the directions to keep the bathroom fan on. Parking is close and easy. Pool and hot tub are great. No adult only hours, but the kids that were there were very well behaved and not disruptice. This is more of a resort issue, but they don't make it easy to recycle. Overall, very satisfied and would return again!!!

Property is spacious and clean with all the necessary things that may be needed. There was even coffee and coffee filters in the unit ready to go. The location is simply magnificent. Even with the patio doors closed you can hear the ocean waves! It is quite a large size resort so even with a lot of guests everyone is pretty spread out. Would definitely stay here again when we have a chance to go back to Maui!

Sugar Beach resort was quiet and located near the end of the resort strip. Very little foot traffic across the beach in front of the condo. The condo was on ground floor, easy to access and the lanai was amazing. Ocean views right from the patio. Spent many mornings and evenings listening to the surf and watching the whales. The condo was clean and clutter free. Everything was available to prepare food. The king bed was amazing and super comfortable comforter. We would definetly stay here again.

Our rooster friend came around most mornings while we watched the whales.
Condo had great furnishings especially the bed, so comfy.

The condo is steps from the beach, making your focus the whales, Outrigger canoes, and other water activity right from the lanai. Even without binoculars we were able to see the whales playing in the water. Both beach and pool are less than a minute walk. It's also very convenient to get to the car without the hassle of an elevator or stairs.

Our stay at unit 115 Sugar Beach Resort was lovely. We loved the sunset from our patio each evening, it’s really something that sets this location apart from others on the island. The amenities were great, unit and property was well taken care of. The bed and linens were comfortable and so many nice touches and updates have been done. Being that the unit is on the first floor it’s very easy to access but also means that you can’t leave the doors open at night for safety reasons. Kihei has a higher level of homelessness nearby than other resort communities. We found that it wasn’t as busy of an area which was a huge plus, but it does lack some of the large resort shops and dining experiences if that’s what you’re looking for. Kihei is a smaller less tourist community so you will drive a lot to beaches and other experiences - a rental car is ideal. Overall the unit and our stay at sugar beach was wonderful and we highly recommend this unit.

The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. Bed was super comfy. Grounds were well kept. We were able to snorkel right out front, but go in the morning, winds pick up quite a bit in afternoons. Central location to many places in Maui. We would walk down the beach about 10 minutes to the left and there is a farmers market, bakery, and ABC store. No problems recommending this listing.

This place is amazing, literally 40 steps from the ocean. Everything we imagined and more. The condo had everything we needed and we were only a short 3-4minute drive away from shops and restaurants! 10/10 will be staying here again!

My husband and I absolutely loved this stay, it is truly the perfect location. The views from our lanai were amazing and we were literally steps from the beach. We traveled all over the island and didn’t have to go far since Kihei is so close to everything. The room was perfect for the two of us, the bed was super comfortable, and the views were amazing! We will definitely be back!

Thank so much for our PERFECT Maui getaway! We had a pleasant surprise finding the unit well upgraded from the original listing photos. Love the butcher block island and the overall cozy vibes of this unit.
The views: Just WOW! Absolutely stunning! Nothing quite compares to actually being there! Way better than I imagined.
Amenities: The unit comes with everything that we need as far as Kitchen items - we cooked breakfast, we grilled (outside) and we love that the unit comes with a rice cooker too! lol
Bedroom: Fully upgraded w/ super comfy bed. Comes with extra pillows and beddings for our boys' sofa bed. We had good nights sleep the whole 5 nights stay here.
Location: Can't be better than this - super easy access to the beach and the pool area - easy in and out. And yet, still very quiet & have good privacy. The resort overall does not feel very crowded at all! We love having coffee at the patio overlooking the beach, and having breakfast with our friends (from other unit) at the Pool dining area.
We'll definitely stay here again!

Wow. What an amazing view to wake up to! Steps to the beach. Pool very close by. Bar, eatery and touristic tours agent right on site. The condo has everything you’ll need in terms of linens, towels and cookware. Very easy check in process. Highly recommend it!

We absolutely loved staying at this unit. It was a little hard finding it, so a map would have been nice. Other than that we had the best time. It was both clean and comfortable. The mattress is very firm. Not my preference, but my husband liked it. The view from the patio is the star. Right out on the green lawn, and next is the beach. Listening to the waves come is was so soothing. Beautiful view of sunset too, even though it set behind the mountain. We didn’t use swim at the beach, but we walked it. My son briefly used the pool and hot tub. The property is beautiful with tropical plants and is maintained regularly. The kitchen had what we needed, and the extra beach towels came in handy. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful spot. We loved the access to the outdoors, not waiting for an elevator. Nice unit a little tired and not clean above the stove, fridge, cabinets, light fixtures, greasy. Main areas were fine. The grounds were impeccable, pool and hot tub excellent. The location is hard to beat we walked on the beach every morning. Evening sunset from here was spectacular.

Overall, would probably give this a 4.5*, heavily weighted due to the location. I was apprehensive about a walkout unit thinking it would be noisy but it wasn’t at all! We had a front row view to whales playing in the distance and a gorgeous sunset every night. The location really can’t be beat. We appreciated the snorkel gear and made great use of them, sadly we didn’t see anything on our adventures :D. There’s a convenient sandwich shop/ bar right on the property with decent offerings. There is a lot of competition in the area but this was one of the more modern/updated listings which appealed to us.
Checkin was generally easy, if minimal. There are two buildings but no directions were given as to which lot to park or what building the unit was in (park on the right side). You have to get a parking pass when you checkin for the pool code.
The screens were separated from the slider doors so a lot of gnats came in due to us keeping the doors open so we could hear the ocean.
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in - it was very hard but also sagged in the middle. It was very noisy too, every little movement caused creaks and the headboard to bang the wall, we did not sleep well here, unfortunately.
This is not a negative, just an fyi to future renters since you never know what the expectations will be upon checkout, but we had to empty all trash, refill all trash bags, wash all towels and sheets (or at least start them), which if you use beach towels, bath towels, and the sheets is at least 3 loads of laundry.
Overall, we would stay at Sugar Beach again, we’d stay here again too but would probably see what else exists in the market first.

It's great to just be able to walk right out to the water. Location is great, the complex is nice with lots of chairs, bbqs, a nice pool and hot tub. The condo is well-appointed with all the kitchen amenities you need. Nice and clean.

Wonderful ground floor unit with spectacular sunset views. Unit was well appointed. Location in Kihei was perfect for daily adventures. Could not comment on the resort facilities as the pool and hot tubs were full daily, so could not use. Will definitely return!

No complaints on this property, the only suggestion would be maybe a little softer mattress on the bed. Beautiful sunsets every night but don’t plan on seeing the sunrise because you’re not in the right location for that. Convenient access to the beach and the pool. Really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location as far as going to the other areas of Maui.

The property is in a great location. Everything was just a short drive away. Our two year old really enjoyed the grassy area out front. The only downside was the light coming through in the bedroom. It was really bright with the outside lights on. Overall it was a great place to stay.
