What a wonderful getaway! Everything was as described. Well appointed, the most comfortable mattress and pillows- better than home! Quiet, yet accessible to everything downtown Kona, love this location. Host was quick in communication, condo was super clean, we had everything we needed! We will be back.

I stayed here with my teenage son. The description is very accurate. The accommodation were very clean & convenient for many things. We could easily walk to eat, shop, coffee, etc - there is a back road that crosses in front of other accommodations versus walking on the main road which was helpful. Sitting on the Lanai was wonderful overlooking the pool and able to see/hear the ocean waves. There were surfers every morning. Having the pool & hot tub so close was great as well. Also having some basic things (shampoos, dishwasher tabs, etc) were very helpful with traveling. They also had a cooler, beach chairs, & beach towels to use. Having a washer/dryer was super helpful as well. Would stay here again!

Great condo with great views. The AC works in the front of the unit but not in the bedroom. There is a fan but it blows extremely hard and it’s not capable of being turned down which was frustrating. Other than that it was a great stay

The location for Kona Reef was perfect. Everything in town was within a mile walk. The unit was comfortable and well equipped. The bed was just right and we slept well. Parking was easy and always available. Beautiful sunsets from the pool area. Favorite restaurant was Quinn’s Almost by the See. Great food and even better music.AC was in the living room only, but ceiling fans kept air moving and the entire unit cool. Target Safeway and Walmart are close by (2 miles) for groceries. Restaurants, Gelato and shops all within a mile walk.

It was a nice traditional apartment, with a good balcony and nice pool area on the beach. Only a short walk to town. Communication with the host was very easy and we were able to check in a bit earlier. Having the washer and dryer was great!

Everything was accurate, nice place, no issues. I do think the bathroom could use a fan, and for some reason the Wi-Fi in the bedroom is noticeably week compared to the rest of the unit. That isn’t any sort of big deal, but was weird how my phone and laptop both worked amazing everywhere but the room. Reality is most will go to the room to sleep, not work or play on the phone.

Condo was stocked really well with beach gear, bedding, towels. There was snorkeling gear, beach towels, pool noodle, play pen, floor mattress. Very clean. Oceanside, literally 1 min walk to ocean. Great location, close to shopping, dining options. Would stay again!

Great location to access the Big Island. We enjoyed our stay and had an ocean view which made it relaxing watching and listening to the waves.
Was able to see flowing lava and the Volcano National Parks. Also saw the green and black sand beaches. Waterfall were beautiful and able to enjoy the stay.

The grounds were exceptionally clean n well maintained. Location of condo unit was good, close to pool parking n street access.
The unit itself was not well equiped. Missing minor items necessary for cooking.

Located within walking distance of historic downtown Kona and good sized one bedroom with kitchen, living area and balcony but could use quite a bit of updating. Racks in dishwasher and refrigerator were rusty. Dishwasher racks even had prongs missing with rust quite noticeable. I was a bit concerned about washing dishes. Sheets were worn and pilled which made for an uncomfortable night sleep. Ceiling fan in the bedroom was broken and could not adjust speed so it was either full speed or off. Toilet seat was peeling. Snorkel gear was broken and unusable. Beach chairs, umbrella and ice chest were nice but again beach towels were pretty worn. Quite pricey for what it is. Don't think I would stay here again.

The property is in a great location. We walked to eat and shop and we could see and hear the ocean from the large lanai. The condo was spacious and clean. My only complaint would be the bed. It definitely needs to be upgraded. Very soft and uncomfortable. But the rest of the condo made up for the lack of comfort with the bed. Would stay again if they got a new bed.

We stayed during Christmas break. Place is corner unit, have ocean views , right next to swimming pool. Loved the Mac nut chocolate host kept for us. I think apartment complex is little old and worn out but unit was well maintained. Room had AC in living room but not sure if it worked, we didn't need to switch on in Dec.
Erica was very responsive and sweet.
Internet was a bit iffy but we were there during the rain storm there was power cut in Kona n internet issues that week.
Overall we loved our stay and definitely come back.
Beach chair, umbrella n snorkeling gear was really thoughtful.

Pros: Excellent location, beautiful view from the lanai. Walkable beaches, restaurants, shops. The house had necessary amenities, utensils, functioning appliances.
Cons: Bedroom windows don't seal, don't block any noise, not even voices of people walking by talking normally. Lot of corrosion inside the property. Dishwasher functions but completely corroded. Windows handles, locks and sliding door rails etc affected because of corrosion.

As advertised. Smooth check in and check out process. Lovely views and well maintained pool and cabana common area. Also, pantry is stocked with essentials (though olive oil bottle was empty). A tray of treats and goodies is a nice touch. Overall, we would recommend.

The ceiling fan in bedroom was stuck on high. No way to change it. The a/c wasn’t big enough to circulate to front of condo.
Kitchen was fully stocked of dishes and utensils 👍
The bathroom needed more shelving for personal items.
Didn’t like the lizard little things crawling on the kitchen countertop 😱

This was a great place to stay in the Kona area. The host Erica was very accommodating and communicative. Place was well kept and met all expectations. It was centrally located and had a nice view of the ocean’s crashing waves. Highly recommend.

It was very well equipped with everything we needed. Had a great time. There were a few things we didn’t like. The rug in the bathroom needs to be replaced. The tv’s are tiny and no air conditioning in the bedroom.

This condo is in a great location, walking distance to great restaurants and amenities. View was fantastic. My husband and I really enjoyed sitting and watching the waves, which during our stay, put on a great show. Many thanks for the treats, they were much appreciated. I stayed at the condo for 4 nights as a solo traveler and found it very comfortable and had all the comforts of home. I liked being able to meal prep in the well stocked kitchen, the washer/dryer in-unit was so nice to have and allowed me to pack light. Having beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach umbrella for a day at the beach was perfect! Will definitely book again when my travels take me back to the Big Island!

We were very unsatisfied with this unit. The floors were so dirty that our feet were black from walking on them. The kitchen was OK- we were right next to the pool entrance gate which slammed open and closed all the time. The towel rack fell off in our hands and we had to fix it. The place needs painting badly and the overall building needs repair and washing from bird crap falling on the exterior walls. This is a place that draws mostly older seniors so if you are younger than 60 you will not want to stay here.

Stayed in early Jan and was worried about being so close to town in a fairly big complex. It was a lovely stay. Friendly staff and residents. Quiet during quiet hours. Easy walk to town for exercise/food. Pool/jacuzzi, grounds, unit were clean and very well cared for. I was up early every morning for coffee on Lanai with great view of ocean and daily property manager came by to maintain pool. Could watch surfers, boats and whale spouts. Grills were clean. Property had plenty of cooking/eating utensils, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher and W/D. AC in living room worked so could cool during heat of the day. Bedroom fan is not adjustable so on strong or off, but we did fine with it. No swimming beach on property, but boggie boarding/surfing next door and nearby swimming/snorkeling sites. Our family of four had a great 2 night stay. We especially enjoyed the pool and ocean access. The kids loved exploring the tide pools and catching many sea creatures. The unit is clean and stocked with all of the essentials. Chocolate mac nuts are always a nice touch.

This condo is in a great location with a pretty view from the balcony of the pool and ocean. Walking distance to the downtown area is an added bonus. The owners communicated quickly and answered all our questions prior to renting. The unit has lots of beach accessories you’ll need. The only downside is the mattress is soft.

This was a really good place to kick off a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was set up for everything we could need. The hosts left us lots of yummy treats which we happily snacked on during our trip. The air conditioner was key on the hot days. The pool and jacuzzi are amazing and no matter the time of day the water was great. Some things to know that aren't the best is that, 1- while there is a stunning view of the ocean, there is no beach access anywhere nearby. It would have been nice to have a suggestion on where we could actually get in the water in a relatively nearby place. We didn't find a spot until we were on our way out of town. 2- The pull out sofa bed is VERY uncomfortable. My friend who I was traveling with figured out a position that helped her avoid the hard support bar running across it beneath the thin cushion, but there is no way I could have slept on it. Other than that it was great! Definitely worth the price.

Did not have to contact the property manager, but had to rate it. Everything was set up ahead of time. We have absolutely no complaints. The property was as advertised. We were not looking for a resort experience, we were looking for a place to relax after a day of exploring the island and this was perfect. We look forward to visiting again, and hopefully can get the same place.

This vacation rental is well situated and in great walking distance in Kona! Kitchen is well supplied (which was necessary to cook at home since reservations were very hard to get in town) and two beach towels and snorkelling equipment as convenient. We are Also vacation rental super hosts and found this property a great getaway from The East side of big island. We will definitely be back :-) Mahalo!
