This condo is a wonderful place to stay, look no further!! The view is to die for and listening to the waves was just music to our ears. We also really enjoyed watching all the boogie boarders and surfers right from the lanai. The place was well stocked and was clean. The air conditioning works great and was so nice. We really loved being able to walk into the heart of Kona for meals/shopping. We would for sure stay here again.

Apartment could not improve on the view but came a close second. Everything you could possibly imagine needing was provided.
Key code did not work on arrival but Ailin was on it in a flash and sorted it out
We had no car but all the restaurants were easily walkable. I even walked to Target one day.

The sunsets from the porch were amazing! You have the perfect view. This condo is in a great location to see the sights on the big island. Perfectly located to downtown Kona. The condo has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Allin has thought of it all. The condo also has coolers you can use for beach days or to pack lunch. We loved it here. We will stay here again!

Stayed here 6 days/5 nights to celebrate our 35th anniversary. This was our first time on the Big Island and we booked this oceanfront condo in Kailua-Kona 6+ months in advance, based on the online pix and description of the property. We had high expectations and -- surprisingly-- this unit exceeeded those expectations. Its a miracle that we even left this condo to explore the island -- the panoramic view of the ocean, palm trees, surfers, and spectacular sunsets was mesmerizing -- and the hosts' attention to detail and thoughtful how-to, where-to notes could not have been better. We loved it.

Direct oceanfront, incredible views. We love watching the fish and occasionally a sea turtle from our lanai. Clean and well-air-conditioned interior. Well supplied kitchen and the coffee and treats are a nice touch. Great location just far enough from historic city center to be quiet but close enough to walk. Our favorite in Kona!

We have visited Hawaii over 50 times, but this is the first time we have actually stayed so close to Kailua. We were very happy with this condo as it had everything we needed including a well stocked kitchen, strong air conditioning, beautiful ocean front view, beach equipment, beach next door that took only 3 minutes to walk to, everything in good working order, clear instructions given for tv remote, dishwasher, etc. We really appreciated how Ailin responded very quickly to any email I sent to her. I could tell she really cared. We would love to rent from Ailin/same condo again.

We had a great time at the property! We loved being able to walk to bars/food and shopping and enjoyed sunsets on the Lanai. The house had everything we needed and the welcome basket with goodies and coffee was appreciated! We would stay again if we went back to the Kona area!

We absolutely enjoyed everything about this unit! Things were clean, the AC was quiet and efficient, the beach toys and towels were well supplied, and the views from the lanai were spectacular. We enjoyed the sunset right from the lanai as we listened to the waves crash below. Parking was a breeze and we loved only having to climb a half level of stairs to get to this top floor unit. So many fun restaurants are within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this condo to others and would stay here again ourselves. Check in and check out was simple and we loved having a code instead of a key. The nearby beach is small but still fun.

We loved our time in this beautiful well stocked condo. The location and view were amazing, just a short walk to restaurants and beaches. We loved just sitting and watching the ocean. The owner,Ailin was always quick to respond and answered all my questions. We loved the unit and knew we chose correct upon arrival. This was our 3rd stay at Kona Reef Resort but our 1st time in this unit. It is the BEST. Very clean and neat and utilized the space well. The oceanfront view is breathtaking. We spent much time on the lanai. Ate most meals out on it. The unit had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. We would not hesitate staying in this unit again.

My husband and I just had a wonderful 10-night stay at Kona Reef! The condo was just as advertised and very comfortable for the two of us. I loved being on the top floor with large lanai overlooking the surf break to watch the boogie boarders and surfers. The unit felt very private and with sound of the ocean, we couldn’t hear anything else. I appreciated that the unit was stocked with all the beach essentials, chairs, boogie boards, snorkel sets, etc. And the location was perfect for us; close enough to walk downtown but far enough away to be nice and quiet. The only negative was the bed was a bit soft for my liking. But I would gladly come back for a repeat stay :)

Absolute first rate property. Hosts were readily available for all questions and very responsive to the very few issues we had with this 3 month rental. Would love to stay here again. Location is incredible, ocean right off the balcony, turtles and whales came by all the time.

3rd floor overlook of small bay with surf break 24/7. Nice lanai for breakfast. Easy walk to ‘downtown’ Kailua-Kona. Kitchen well appointed, especially appreciate the decent knives and cooking utensils.
Property itself fairly quiet after 10. A little aged and an abandoned construction site next door, though.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip to Hawaii and we could not have found better accommodations. Location is right in the heart of Kona. Literally walking distance from many activities. A very nice luau is held at the hotel right next door.
The condo is so nice, it really felt like home…from its cleanliness to having everything you can imagine readily accessible. The book of suggestions was spot-on, as well. If we visit the Big Island again, we will definitely try to stay here again. Just perfect. Sunsets on the patio are breathtaking and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub!

We have stayed on the top floor at the Kona Reef before but this condo is much, much better. Nicely furnished, dishes and cutlery match, very thoughtfully decorated and having both rooms air conditioned is very nice, especially in August.

This was a great choice for us. Very central location with everything we needed to enjoy our week. It was also so nice to come home to a sunset on our private balcony. My husband and I were thrilled with this condo. The ocean front view was just what we wanted and sitting out on the lanai very entertaining watching the surfers and boogie boarders. The condo was well stocked and clean and the owners were always available whenever I had a question. The location to downtown Kona was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. We highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again.

If you're trying to decide between multiple similar properties in the Kona area we highly recommend this place.
We have stayed at a number of rental properties in Hawaii, and this was by far the best - The location and view are PERFECT, and the owners' care for the property and their customers is evident in very detail. The view just couldn't be better, the unit is a short walk from the center of town, the unit is quiet (we heard literally nothing but the ocean for 4 days), and everything was perfectly clean and in great repair. Other than some very well-done instructions and labels it does not feel like a rental, but rather like a well cared for full-time home. The owners thought of everything, and even checked in via text to make sure all was going well.
The only downside we could see: That we don't own it!! :)

This ocean front location provides an unobstructed view of the ocean from the lanai and is in walking distance of many restaurants and shopping area. Sitting on the lanai we saw sea turtles and surfers. The owner is very responsive and provides many supplies such as soaps, small starter shampoo and conditioner, dish and laundry detergent, coffee, sugar, paper towel, and ample supply of bath towels. Owner provides a very thorough manual of how to operate appliances and large electronics and one which includes their recommendations. Kitchen is well supplied and had everything we needed.
The elevator listed in the property description does not extend to the top floor where condo is located making it necessary to carry your luggage up a flight of nine stairs.

Amazing property. From the amazing ocean view to the close location to Kona, to the attention to small details like providing guests a waterproof key holder for snorkel adventures, this place is gold. But, gold is expensive, such is the price of luxury. Treat your family like I did. Did I mention the A/C that is fantastic after a hot day at the beach?

This is the perfect vacation property in Kona. The sound of the pounding sea as you eat dinner on the patio is heavenly; then hang out and wait for the stars to dazzle your nights. I so appreciated the little extras---fluffy towels, plentiful oils and spices for cooking, comfortable furniture and bed, and beach supplies. All of the comforts to make a stay great and an incredible view of the ocean. Did I mention you can walk into Kona with all of its restaurants and shops? We enjoyed our stay and plan to be back. We have stayed in apartments and condos all over the world and this was one of the best.
