This is a wonderful unit in a small complex. The unit was small, as advertised - but was well stocked and very clean. The property was maintained very well. This unit was so close to one of the best beaches in Maui. We hope to stay again!

Had a wonderful time. This location can't be beat. Right next to the boat launch from Kihei, amazing new pool that my 8 year old really enjoyed. Great communication. Kitchen had everything we needed to use the grills to make family dinners. Great grass lawn overlooking the beach, plenty of lounge chairs to watch the sunsets. Turtles sleep on the shore just to the north of this property. Perfect beach just a 2 minutes walk down a trail to the south. Would definitely stay again. Only issue was a mattress cover for the fold out bed and they delivered a new one promptly. Front desk was helpful getting chairs for the beach. They even lent us a life vest and kids beach toys.

The location was absolutely perfect with an amazing view. It was pretty secluded which made the stay more peaceful. Condo was clean and well furnished/decorated. I took away two stars only because there was no AC and it was miserably hot at times. They appeared to be installing AC units though. Also, the toilet kept running every couple minutes which made it difficult to sleep. Lastly, the bed was incredible hard and uncomfortable. If those few things are dealt with, i would give it a perfect rating.

What a beautiful place to relax! The ocean view and park like setting made for a very relaxing stay. The condo is very nice…. Kitchen has everything you need including a spice rack. The bed is comfortable. The standing fan in addition to the ceiling fan in the bedroom kept it plenty cool for us. The complex is is well kept as a lot of the units are the owners homes. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Going out to the park below

Our family has been vacationing in Kihei for 40 + decades. I have always been disappointed that every condo appears similar wrt decor, inability to use disposal, need for updating of bath,kitchen,etc. 207 was felt like a uniquely different experience. The remodeled kitchen and bath were beautiful and luxurious, and had a personal touch. We appreciated having an assortment of condiments for cooking, well stocked kitchen cookware/utensils/and tupperware. The location was perfect for viewing the sunset, as well as the early morning view of the sea.There were beach chairs and an umbrella - someday maybe someone will leave some boogie boards too! This was my favorite Kihei stay to celebrate my son's graduation from college! Thank you, Larry! We will be back!

Overall great stay. Great location, clean place, good experience with the place, but not so much with the host.
1. check in code was sent via email 1 hour before check-in time. It would be great if it was sent within 24 hours before check-in.
2. After we left, the host forwarded an email with a picture of a dirty window at the condo with the subject line “sunblock spray party” and a single line saying “comments?” In the email body. We did not use sunblock spray or had any idea where it came from, but in either case this email did not feel appropriate given the generous cleaning fee that was charged.

We had a wonderful stay, the condo was clean and quiet, the property was a10+, very clean and well cared for, pool and grill area was lovely and the sunset gathering every night was awesome! Easy walk to a beautiful beach. I loved how low key everything was! I can’t say enough about it, I would definitely stay here again when I visit Maui

Great location, just south of the busy part of Kihei and within walking distance of the boat launch for many of the boat tours. Larry was very responsive to all of our inquiries/requests.
P.S. If you go snorkeling off the beach, be careful as the current is strong, and you might get pulled into the reef and there is minimal visibility due to currents churning up the sand, take one of the tours instead. My wife and I struggled, plus we saw one guy have to get rescued.

This was our 2nd stay at the Kihei Surfside property (different unit) and we had a lovely time for our anniversary get-away before school starts again. The unit is convenient and well stocked for your stay as described in the listing. The view is amazing and being on the 2nd floor is quick access to the elevator, parking lot, pool etc. Those not liking the tropical warm temps may miss having an A/C , but the breezes (with bedroom and patio doors open for cross ventilation) and fans at night kept temps perfect for us. It's nice to see the pool area completed (last year it re-opened on the morning we were leaving) and people of all ages enjoyed it. We had many long, wonderful hours walking for miles along the beaches and then in lounge chairs reading in the sun or shade of the palm trees... You can park along the grassy edge of the sea rock and watch "Turtle TV" (many turtles and we enjoyed the antics of them eating seaweed in the bobbing water) and some fabulous sunsets. We missed the nightly conch shell blowing by residents that happened last year, but the evening play with lighted bocce balls you can check out from the office during the day made up for it. The one item we realized was missing and reported (a cooler we'd planned on for our day trips) was provided to us within 24 hours of our notification. We would heartily recommend staying at this unit.

Very clean and easy check in. Property is in a great location with the best beach and snorkeling right out your door. The large windows and mirror creates a spectacular view even when indoors. Price was very fair for the location.

property was exactly as listed. oceanfront view was everything and the expansive lawn was great. while the trade winds helped cool things down in the evening, it was still quite warm. At this time of year, next time i would look for a place with AC. All-in-all it was an excellent value and the view and lanai minimized any other short comings.

We’ve stayed at a couple places in Maui and this is the best mix of location, view, ease of use, and value. We chatted with a couple visitors there at the new pool and this place is a hidden gem. We woke up to the roosters and walked along the beach and harbor, ate at the happy hour at 5 palms, and watched beautiful Maui sunsets!

Enjoyed the sunsets, and trade winds in the evening. Nice comfy bed. Always found a place to park. Geckos are cool. Washer dryer on site. We were happy with the stay.

The property is in a great location, minutes from everything you would need and steps away from the beach. It had a great ocean breeze and is directly above the pool area . I originally didn't see that the condo wasn't air conditioned BUT all it took was the opening of the screened in patio doors to fix that. The breeze is amazing!

This property has a beautiful view normally but unfortunately we booked when they were doing construction on the pool as we understood. However, we didn’t realize the extent of the eyesore of the barrier around the pool which blocked the entire grass view from the second floor. In addition, there was no AC which was my fault for not checking as it gets very hot in the summer in Kihei. There were fans available but the bedroom ceiling fan did not go above the lowest mode and the floor fan gave minimal cooling. Between the heat and roosters making noise in the middle of the night, I did not sleep much the 2 nights there. Luckily I was able to find another condo in Napili Bay which was 100 times better and the same price as the normal rates there. I asked for a partial refund from the owner but was unsuccessful.
I’m sure it will be a better unit once construction is done and they add an AC unit.

Fantastic stay at Kihei Surfside! Property is in a great location with excellent access to everything Kihei has to offer! Beautiful views of the sunset each night and the wonderful green space was a pleasant surprise! The kitchen was fully stocked and nicely updated bathroom! Only improvement would be to add A/C, otherwise an amazing stay!

Aloha! From start to end, had no problems with booking this property. Better yet, our check out was at 10am but since we had a late flight in the later evening, I’ve asked to see if we can check out a little bit later? Possibly between the hours of 11am - Noon? I emailed the agency whom I’ve book through and “Larry” responded back in a timely matter. We were able to do a late check out, thank you so much, it was truly accommodating! Overall, our ocean front unit had amazing views. The unit was well kept and maintained! The place felt cozy. The only thing i wish the unit had was installed AC vs ceiling fans. It can get hot in the later afternoon and evening but it was manageable. I would truly recommend this property “Kihei Surfside” to Friends and Family! At last, we had a great 1st time experience in Hawaii, the husband and I can’t wait to go back and explore the rest of Hawaii! Mahalo, Julia & Chris
