This studio has recently been fully remodeled. This condo is fully equipped to make you feel right at home. It features a brand new full kitchen with dishwasher for your convenience and full size (5 burner) stove in case you want to cook some good food. All the appliances are stainless steel and brand new. Bedroom, dining area and living area also feature new furniture.
This condo does not have AC installed, but it features 2 large ceiling fans and a large tower fan. If you open the sliding glass doors by the ocean and the screened in front door it keeps the place cooler.
Both the Queen size bed and the Queen size sofa bed have very comfortable and brand new memory foam mattresses. The bedside tables have plenty of charging outlets to charge all your devices!
The 43" flat screen TV comes with Spectrum Cable service featuring a bunch of HD channels and also an Apple TV device that will allow you to stream anything from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Lightning fast WiFi internet connection at 200+ Mbps.
Beach gear for your use includes: boogie boards, snorkel gear with fins, beach chairs and towels, umbrella and beach cooler with ice packs.
The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig Duo, so you can use K-cups or brew a pot of coffee using coffee grounds.
Unit is conveniently located on the ground floor for easy access which is great since the building does not have an elevator. Amenities include an oceanfront swimming pool, 2 BBQ grills and a patio dining area also in front of the ocean. A free private parking spot is available just a few steps from the front door and a coin-op laundry room located just a few steps away from the unit. (You can pay using an app on your smartphone -- it's super convenient!)
This is one of the best neighborhoods you can stay at in Kona. It's one of the few places with a white sandy beach within walking distance.
It is a great central location far enough from town to not feel crowded but close enough to shops and restaurants.
A great place for snorkeling is a little more than 1 mile away at Kahalu'u Beach Park. Also just 2 miles away you can find Keauhou Shopping Center with its grocery/drug stores and restaurants.
Kona Magic Sands is conveniently located on Alii Drive and it has the Kona Trolley stop right in front of it. This trolley will take you virtually anywhere in town.
Across the street you will be able to rent a Blue City Bike as well.
The best way to get around the island is by renting a car.

Charlie also stocks you up with the extra condiments you need so you don’t have to go out and buy things like salt or hot sauce, or even shampoo conditioner (the toiletries available on site are actually high quality). I’d for sure stay here again.

The pictures are accurate. We have never stayed at a VRBO that was better stocked than Magic Sands. Large fridge, full modern kitchen, all kinds of condiments, about every kind of spice you can imagine, nice cookware, boogie boards, a couple beach stairs, towels galore, excellent shower with soap and shampoo and conditioner, and fabulous oceanfront crashing waves to sleep by. Not to mention the best reserved parking spot and a great oceanfront restaurant and bar steps away where you can watch the endless body surfing and the sunset. From the easiest check-in to the attentive host Charlie, we were delighted with our stay. Would return in a heartbeat. Mahalo, Charlie!

We enjoyed our stay at this very conveniently located and well-appointed condo. From the cookware and plates and glassware to all the beach toys, snorkeling gear and beach chairs, we had everything we needed to enjoy the area. Plus, it was very clean and efficiently laid out. Charlie was very communicative and responsive. The area is quiet and the sunset views are awesome.

I will definitely be coming back to this location. Such a tastefully decorated condo with gorgeous views and great convenience with the restaurant and beach next door, great location for walking and bike rentals across the street. Very cozy bed and the pounding waves at night were a dream.

My friend and I stayed three nights at the property. It is far enough away from downtown Kona, yet close enough to ride bikes and take the trolley. The beach next to the property was not swimmable while we were staying, due to high surf, but it had great views and we even saw whales one day. Inside the property is clean and updated. A good place to stay.

We loved this location! It was sunny and breezy everyday even when other parts of the island were rainy. We went all around the island and always looked forward to being back for the sunset. The room was the perfect size and the kitchen and bathroom were great. It was so quiet in the town at night so people wake up early and go to bed early. Absolutely loved this vacation rental!

This place could not have been better! The location was perfect and close enough to everything while still feeling somewhat tucked away and private. The condo was equipped with all the necessities and even a few extras like beach chairs. I didn't get to use them, but it was great to know that they were there if I needed to. The wall-to-wall sliding doors made me feel like I was staying right in the ocean...couldn't get any closer without getting wet LOL and it had THE most stunning sunset views...I'm talking postcard status! Charlie was amazing, made the whole process a breeze and when I visit the big island again, I'll definitely by looking to stay here. If Charlie's place is available, do yourself a favor and book it now! You'll be glad you did.

We stayed just one night here (our last night) and are very glad we did! It's location right next to one of the few public sand beaches on the Kona strip (Magic Sands) was perfect! The restaurant connected to the building is also very good and convenient. We watched the unobstructed view of the sunset from our room through the open sliding doors and fell asleep listening to the waves crashing right outside of our room. We had three adults - two in the bed and one on the pull-out couch, it worked well. Didn't get to use the amenities, but the kitchen was stocked and all the things needed for the beach were there!
