Fun time in Popui staying at Maluhia Maikai. Unit was just as advertised, 3 great bedrooms and baths. Very clean, large kitchen and plenty of room for dining and sitting. Good A/C, other vacationers at the pool were complaining about the temperatures in their rentals. Great location for walking the greenbelt to Poipu and Shipwreck beaches and convenient for sightseeing trips out in the car. Management company was very responsive and nice. Thank You !

This condo in Po'ipu on the south shore of Kauai has become our second home, and we want to express our gratitude to our friend Yvonne, who goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable every time we visit here. Great location in Poipu - close to numerous dining options, grocery store, and easy walking to pool, tennis, pickle ball, and the beach. The condo was perfect for three adult couples. There were beach chairs and a couple boogie boards on the porch that made it even a better experience!

We had an unforgettable vacation at this rental in Poipu! The place was simply beautiful and exceptionally clean, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. Traveling with a family of 6, including our elderly mother, we were delighted to find that the accommodation was incredibly comfortable for all of us.
The location was perfect, within walking distance to multiple beaches and restaurants, allowing us to explore the area easily and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Whether it was a leisurely stroll to the beach or a delightful dinner at a nearby restaurant, everything was conveniently close by.
The check-in process was seamless, and the property managers' communication was easy and timely. It was evident that they genuinely cared about ensuring our stay was pleasant and hassle-free.

This property was excellent! It is well maintained, very clean, spacious and a great layout for families and groups. The location is excellent, It is nearby several restaurants, shops, beaches and it was also easy to access the airport and other parts of the island. The check in/check out process was smooth, we had a couple questions during our stay and was able to immediately get in touch with someone to help us out:) I would highly recommend!!

The condo feels like a home away from home. The location is a very pleasant walk to Brennekes beach along the greenbelt of properties or down the hill through the neighborhood. The walk to Shipwreks is a little longer but just as easy along a path toward the Hyatt. It wasn't needed for the distance, but having a beach cruiser would have made it even more adventurous for our teenagers.
The house has everything you need from bath products to kitchen supplies. Just add groceries and fresh coffee and you are golden.
It was a rainy week which increased humidity outside but a perfect temperature in the condo. Parking was not an issue.

The location was just as indicated in the listing and all that I had hoped for. Close proximity to the ocean, pool and spa. I have been to Kauai several times and this condo met all of my wishes and expectations. The furnishings were wonderful and very comfortable and I am looking forward to next year. Quiet, clean and all amenities were just as described. Plenty of space for 4 adults to spread out. Spent each night at the large dining table playing card games and dominos. Excellent location to the beach. A bit of a walk when lugging all the beach accessories. A wagon would have been great to have. Pool was a good distance away from the condo, but we did enjoy it. Great restaurant/bar within walking distance so we took advantage of their happy hour several times. Fun food trucks around for a variety of meals. We loved Kauai and look forward to exploring again - would stay here again without hesitation.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Walking distance even for young kids to three different beaches and the pool. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed. The house was spotless and the beds were super comfy. Gorgeous sunsets! Turtles on the beach! What more could you ask for?

Poipu Kai is a lovely resort - beautiful grounds, easy walk to Poipu beach. The condo itself was well decorated with a great floor plan for our family of 6. The new appliances, big beach towels and beach chairs, boogie boards, etc were especially appreciated.
The on-line pictures accurately represent how nice the unit is INSIDE. The drawback to this lovely unit is that there is almost no outside space for dining or relaxing. The deck off the living room is narrow and cramped, ok for enjoying coffee and a pastry, but not large enough for a family meal outside — which was very disappointing. There is also no deck space to lounge in the sun, and both decks overlook parking areas, so there’s no privacy. This aspect put a damper on what was otherwise a great condo experience.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Condo was as pictured. We often cooked and the kitchen was fully complete with dishes, glasses and pots and pans. Short walk to the beach and pool. only negatives were the parking lot was tight to maneuver and more forks could be added to the silverware drawer.

This condo is exactly how it was listed. We had our family stay for 2 weeks in September 2022 and there was enough room for us all. We’re frequent visitors to The Garden Island and it was our first time staying at this condo. We love the area and found a little slice of paradise and comfort in this unit. This house worked perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary items. The a/c works well but the owner has the thermostat programed to not go below 72. The house was clean and comfortable. . I would definitely recommend staying here

We absolutely loved this condo, the location, and the amenities. We had a group of 6, and this condo allowed everyone to have their own space. The kitchen is well-stocked with upgraded appliances and the outdoor space is relaxing. An easy walk to beaches and restaurants, as well as walking trails allowed us to explore the area safely. Staff we're extremely helpful, and the owners provided recommendations for everything on the island. Big thanks to GMD Vacations for an awesome experience!

A wonderful vacation and the house was very comfortable. It’s a further walk to the beaches than other reviewers have stated but if you aren’t lugging chairs, coolers, etc it wasn’t terrible. I would suggest having a wagon to help families get everything to the beach. The island is so beautiful.

This is the first VRBO property I’ve stayed at that looks exactly like the photos in the ad. The place is beautiful and immaculate. It was very comfortable with the central air conditioning in all rooms of the condo. The kitchen is very well-stocked and you will be able to cook anything you want and enjoy your dinner out on the lanai. The living room has a wonderful TV system as well as a good stash of games and books to read while you’re there. The towels and linens are all new and fresh. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a good amount of soaps and cleaning products that I was able to use to keep the place neat. The walk to the beach is very comfortable, downhill and takes about six or seven minutes. The beach always has some thing fun going on like seals or turtles to watch. There is a cute restaurant just across the street from the beach. You can also walk down the sidewalk in the other direction and enjoy dinner at the grand Hyatt. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone and would be willing to return for a future vacation.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this well kept condo. We were so thankful for the AC and wouldn’t consider a unit that didn’t have it. Jeremy was a great property manager and quick to respond when we had a question. I enjoyed everything about the layout of this condo and the location was great. Just a quick walk down the path to the beach. The master bath is great with a nice jacuzzi tub and a huge walk in shower. Plenty of closet space throughout. Plenty of natural light, comfortable couch, perfect dining area, large capacity washer and dryer, plenty of dishes and other kitchen items that made meal prep a snap. I did a lot of research looking for the right property for our family and so happy we decided on this one. It did not disappoint! No need to research again on our next trip to Kauai, we’ll book this property again! Thank you to the owners and the management company for our home away from home! We loved it.

What a beautiful property! The DeWittes have provided a space filled with aloha spirit and hospitality. Close to amazing beaches, restaurants and shopping as well. I've stayed here three times and hope to return again. Highly recommend for honeymoon, family reunion or just first class rest and relaxation. Mahalo to the DeWittes! 🌺🏝🙏

This condo is very spacious and clean, with an excellent location just off the greenbelt. We loved drinking coffee on the lanai and listening to the birds in the mornings, and playing cards at the dining table in the evenings. We encountered some maintenance issues which were promptly addressed by management (Jeremy is great). I’m not giving the unit 5 stars because it is not stocked as well as most others we have rented over the last 20 years - minimal beach gear and missing basic items in the kitchen (measuring spoons, platters, etc). The guide book was also from 2004. While I know everything is on line, an upgrade to the current edition - and investment in some basic gear - would elevate the guest experience.

Our family of 5 greatly enjoyed our weeklong stay on this wonderful property. The space was quiet, clean and updated inside with comfortable beds and furniture and a quick 5 minute walk to two great beaches, one with surf and one for good snorkeling or bringing young children. There are many restaurants and conveniences a short distance away as well as walkable restaurants. We hope to be back soon!

The condo perfectly suited my husband and I, my 2 adult children and my parents. Everyone had comfortable beds, a bathroom for each bedroom and we had very comfortable areas where we could all bond and enjoy each other as a family. We loved having a fully stocked kitchen and a lovely dining room as well. Can't recommend this highly enough!!!

Nice property, with great access to both Shipwreck (most spectacular sunrises anywhere on the planet) to Poipu (good snorkeling, even for keiki). Perfect unwinding and Christmas place for family of 5 including 3 kids ages 10-22. If you’re there for Christmas - you have to go to Christmas Eve services at St. Theresa’s in Kekaha. Beautiful little church on the beach with the friendliest parishioners, and a sunset thrown in for full measure.

Yvonne and her staff are amazing! Not only were we blessed that they were able to accommodate our family within hours, Yvonne's attentiveness and genuine concern that we were comfortable is something that we have never experienced with renting vacation housing. This beautiful condo and the small intimate complex is truly a home away from home. There wasn't a thing that we needed or wanted that we weren't provided. The central air was imperative for us as our mother has terminal cancer. We were not expecting though that it would be an amenity that we did not have to switch on & off ourselves; the smart thermostat and temperature ranges were perfect. Not once were we uncomfortable in the unit.
If you are looking for accommodations for a family or multiple couples and are lucky enough to book it, I highly recommend Hale Maluhia Maikai #120!

Air conditioner was controlled by locked software device, so we were unable to lower the temperature lower than 77 degrees at times. Upstairs especially was very hot for sleeping. After complaining, owner unlocked thermostat only to have it become locked again next day, repeatedly. Thus, half of the days there it was hot for sleeping at night. Unbelievable for a place that advertises AC. Owner blamed it on the software; LAME! Also: dishes in cabinets were dirty on arrival. Kitchen supplies thoughtless. No sugar, pepper. Stale oil in cabinet. Stale "welcome" cookies on counter tasted rancid. Mattresses hard as a rock; I slept on the couch. Place smacks of inconsideration and exploitation of the location near the beach, and I would not stay in Poipu Kai "resort" again.

We came to Kauai for our Daughter's wedding at the grand Hyatt. Not only was the condo perfect for going back and forth to the grand Hyatt but it is located right by the best beach in the area Poipu beach. We were able to walk to the Hyatt and the beach. Markus and Jeremy are available with any questions and answer promptly. The condo is equipped with everything you need including beach chairs/towels/snorkel gear and coolers. I couldn't be more happy with the accommodations or the service. Thank you to the Dewitt's for sharing your piece of paradise we truly appreciate everything.

The hot water tanks ran out of hot water on 3 separate days despite very limited use by our family. The air conditioning thermostat was locked and could not be adjusted by us. As a result, the upstairs loft bedroom was too hot and uncomfortable.

We stayed with our family of 5 -- 2 adults and 3 kids -- in Hale Maluhia Maikai for our first trip to Poipu. The condo was exactly as pictured: well appointed, high-end furnishings, well laid out, with plenty of space for everyone. It's located in a great spot in Poipu to be able to walk to 3 beaches, which we appreciated after spending lots of time driving around the North Shore. The management company was great to work with and very responsive. Close to many walking trails and not far from shops and restaurants. Easy to walk to the Hyatt too. A good choice in Poipu!
