Hi! We loved our time at Maalea! The proximity to tbe beach and the fun activities to do onsite were so awesome. We will definitely be back!A few notes for improvement:- there were no multipurpose cleaners in the condo which was a bummer, thank you for bringing them to us!- the pool - sadly it was very very cold!! I feel like even if a cover was placed on it at night you could increase the temperature to a more reasonable temp for casual swimming- I do think providing basic shampoo and conditioner would be really easy and great!Thanks again - wishing you well!!!!

Condo was amazing. Just as advertised! Big enough for 4 adults and 2 kids. Pretty much private beach and pools. Landscaping gorgeous!! All food and stores very nearby. Loved this place! Would totally book here again! Kihei is the place to be if you want to stay in Maui and live like a local!

We loved this location. We've stayed before in Kaanapali and Wailea, and this is so much more central to everything. Loved getting shave ice across the street. The condo was comfortable and had great views. Kids enjoyed the beach and the pool. Parking was easy. Two small negatives were we didn't love where the tv was situated in the family room, sort of blocking the views. And the rails on the stairs and upstairs bedroom are really far apart. Our 3-year-old kept sticking her head through. I'd be nervous with a younger child that they might fall, but as long as there aren't any crawling babies or toddlers it's fine.

The seal on the sliding door on E5 is mostly gone. Some lights are burned out including the one in the downstairs shower. The downstairs toilet sometimes runs.

This condo is right on a very swimmable and walkable beach, which can be tough to find in the area. The waves are almost perfect for little ones. We were pleasantly surprised. A bit north of the Kihei dining and shopping, but plenty accessible. The condo itself is well-appointed, two king beds in the rooms, and two full baths (one of the bedrooms is a loft, which was pretty cool for us, but may not be perfect for folks who can’t handle a spiral staircase). Property manager was great, checkin was a breeze, and the entire condo property was well-maintained. Was exactly what we needed, mahalo.

We had an amazing time living in E5. It was a perfect vacation. A couple of things that would have made it even better. 1. a more comfortable bed 2. Beach chairs. Our last day we actually discovered one hidden behind the boogie boards in the closet. With no chairs, our beach towels got pretty dirty.

This was my third stay at Ma'alaea Surf (1st stay back in 1991). Though it is an older property, it is very well maintained, and its location right on Sugar Beach in a low-rise complex makes it a pleasant, relaxing alternative to the various high-rise properties on Maui. We had a lovely one-week stay here. Only drawback is that this location can get very windy in the afternoon.

The grounds are beautiful and our condo was very comfortable with a spectacular view of the ocean. The beds were great including the pullout bed that our teenager slept on. We loved sitting out on the lanai and hearing the ocean. We enjoyed swimming in the ocean and also having the option of the pool. Farmers market just a walk down the beach. Ryan and Malea are wonderful and very helpful. We will definitely be back!

We LOVE Ma'alaea surf! The common grounds are incredible and very well maintained. 5 star across the board! My 3 and 4 star ratings are specifically the Unit E5. The unit is a bit outdated and has older dirty looking carpet. The unit has a newer sofa, comfy beds and a clean kitchen and bathrooms. We booked late and were unable to get a ground unit which is ideal with young kids. The property manager was very helpful and offered to reach out if anything became available. We had a short term issue with ants in the kitchen. This was our error because we left food out. The manager was very helpful and provided traps and gave us some pointers. It helped! We would highly recommend Ma'alaea Surf!
