We had an enjoyable time celebrating 35 years of marriage at this rental. The view was breathtaking. Close to shops and a variety of restaurants to choose from. So thankful we chose to stay here. Would recommend it to everyone that wants to experience Hawaii beachside.

We were so happy to have great views, a rice cooker, exercise mat and beach chairs! We never need a fancy place, and this suited our needs very well. It was a little confusing to have certain things managed by VRBO, others by the on-site property manager, and others by the ownership group. For several of the days we were there, cruise ships anchored directly in front - not a big deal except for the one that made a very loud engine noise for 10 hours, and another that blocked the sunset. We had a cleanliness issue we brought up with the manager; i believe this has been addressed. All in all, a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. Had everything we needed for a week on the big island. Eating meals outside overlooking the ocean and hearing the waves was great! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to visit this area. Walking distance to great restaurants and bars.

The good: Check in and communication with host. View and location to downtown and the ocean.
The rest: Low quality pictures likely should have been an indication. The entire unit is very worn down, chipped paint on everything including the table on the lanai. The carpet in the living room is just gross as mentioned in a prior review. A person living in their car outside the parking lot for clearly a long time makes the location a concern coming back at night. All of this would have been ok but there were cockroaches in the unit. Speaking with the property manager who was wonderful and brought up bug traps indicated they are chasing them from unit to unit. As a result we had to leave lights on to deter them all night, not a nice sleep. The bed is king size on a queen size box spring so you kind of fall off the edge of the bed. Pay laundry is not in the unit and garbage rooms are on each floor adding to the bug issue(gross). The pool has almost no shade with two umbrellas and a third mobile one that fell and just missed me when it fell. The pool was not heated. Overall I do not recommend as it is not maintained. When I sent a note via the app about the bugs they said thanks for letting them know, let them know if there is anything else they can do. I didn't get the impression the bugs were going to be fixed so be forewarned before booking.

The property was as described on the VRBO web page, there were no surprises. This had a great view, watched sunsets from the lanai about every day. A very short walk to restaurants and shops in Kona. Having AC in the bedroom and living room was a big plus for our July stay.

Building is in need of updating. Our unit had been recently redone and was fine but lacked air conditioning. Two good restaurants were an easy walk away, and the balcony was perfect for our one eat-in dinner. We loved hearing the surf at night.

We stayed for 17 days and loved every minute. The location is perfect located close to restaurants and shops.
The swimming pool is ocean side and sitting on the wall was my favorite part of our daily routine.
The bed is a little bouncy and I would recommend it be updated. The linens and blankets were perfect.
Air conditioning worked great in the afternoons.
The ocean is right there with wonderful sunset views each evening.

The property outside is a little dated but the unit we stayed in has been remodeled and is very well done. The new kitchen even has a subzero refrigerator. The Lanai is right over the ocean, we had large surf and the view was spectaular. Overall this property is excellent! We will be sure to be back.

This property was nearly perfect for our Hawaii vacation. The only reason I say "nearly" is because the lack of central air conditioning with highs consistently at 85 and lows consistently at 75 was a source of discomfort. That said, the lack of central air was well-communicated and the portable unit in the bedroom helped immensely.
Overall, this property offers amazing views of the ocean and is in close walking distance to Kailua-Kona, which made finding places to eat a breeze. Honl's Beach, which is right next to the property, is not the nicest of beaches (especially if you want to wade in or if you are with children), but it brings lots of surfers whom we enjoyed watching from the lanai. There is one great beach that is a 10-15 min walk to the north through town.
The owners have this place stocked with almost anything you could want. Cooking was easy and there are a number of beach items (boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, etc). This is the first place we'll be looking for accommodations for our next trip to Hawaii. Thanks for an amazing stay!

The rest of the condo was uncomfortably warm, and really not usable during the heat of the day. We thought with fans and the one portable a/c that it would be ok, but it really wasn't. They offered a 10% discount which really was not enough considering we could not comfortably cook/eat dinner in the unit.

This location was ideal to walk Kona or drive to snorkeling and coffee.

This little pensione was perfect for a big island getaway for first-time visitors. We never used the AC, just kept the windows open and enjoyed the ocean breeze. Place was equipped to suit our needs (which were modest). Easy walk to restaurants, though if we return we would probably opt to stay south of the city.

The condo is completely refurbished. Perfect in every way. There are all kinds of condiments, so check before you go to the market.
The view is spectacular.. We saw giant turtles, a school of yellow fish and black crabs below our balcony every day. Everything is within walking distance.. SPECTACULAR

We spent a week at this condo in late September 2021. You cannot beat this location, all the units are on the ocean, overlooking the Pacific and a lava tide pool. You are off the main road so the only noise you hear is the waves crashing. However you are easy walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops in downtown Kona-Kailua. The condo is well set up. We really appreciated the fact that seasonings, olive oils and similar things left by previous guests were there as was a big shampoo and conditioner. We thought the living room furniture needs to be replaced, it is older and seemed kind of dirty (e.g. the top of the reclining chair smelled like dirty hair). Bed was comfy. Our biggest problem was the air conditioning in the building broke 10 days before we arrived. We were not notified until the day of our arrival, while we were at the airport on the mainland. Management gave us a reasonable discount (I need to check that they refunded the same proportion of the taxes charged to us) and gave us the option to cancel...but it was impossible to do while in transit. We opted to stay and are glad we did. There was a standing rotating fan which saved us. Also, for great cross breeze prop open both of the front doors and the door out to the lanai. The sunsets were stunning from this condo. I would definitely come again.

This is a great little condo with a beautiful view of the ocean. There's beach access a short walk from the property. The condo itself is 10 minute walk from Kona downtown which gives you a bit of a break from the craziness.
