Very good stay. No problems with the condo. A couple of considerations about the area -
1. Beach access is limited (small area)
2. Pool didn't seem very clean
3. Nothing much around. Must have a car.

Wonderful ocean front condo that was as described. Enjoyed the amazing view from the lanai watching the whales. Have stayed at other places in the Maalaea Harbor area and this was the best. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the quiet location, away from crowds. It's walking distance to Maui Ocean Center, a few shops and a couple of restaurants. Only about a 5 minute drive to Kihei for groceries and more restaurants, etc. If you want a sandy beach to play on, you'll need to go elsewhere. If you want to relax and watch whales from your own lanai, this is the perfect spot. We saw whales daily!
Unit 505 was very clean, updated and spacious. The property is also well maintained, and we had an assigned parking space - very nice! We were quite pleased!

A prefect unit for a small family. We enjoyed the separate washroom. Lots of time on that gorgeous Lanai! The fan with the light switch for one of the bedrooms didn’t work and I emailed with no reply. The owners did contact us more than once to make sure we checked in okay so it was an anomaly in the communication. Would def stay again.

We spent 9 days at this property and it was all we hoped it would be. The listing and photos depicted exactly what the unit looked like. In fact, the unit is even better in person. We did not know much about the area as it was our first time Maui but we were drawn by the description and the location being a great point on the island to explore. We spent the morning drinking coffee on the balcony witnessing regular whale spouts, distant whale breeching and large turtles feeding in the shallow waters. It is a quieter part of the island which brings the ability to sit quietly and appreciate the stunning natural beauty of the area. We loved our stay and feel very lucky to have experienced this slice of heaven. Thank you! Highly recommended.

Functional kitchen and overall floorplan that worked very well for our family. Adult daughter and grandma took the twin beds while spouse and I took the primary bedroom. We loved the quiet neighborhood, beautiful ocean views, and convenient access to all the Maui sights and activities.

Thought it would be clean and new, no. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The clothes washer was broken. The noise in the building was bad. The AA Oceanfront Rental agency didn’t really do anything about it.

TL/DR property management was wonderful! 10/10. The unit itself was average.
This place is very basic. It near nothing yet close to everything. This place is in Maaleae Harbor. It is an easy drive to any town and activity but the harbor town itself is very sleepy and not much going on. It’s very windy as well. The unit itself is strange. There is one powerful air conditioner but the airflow is terrible. The back room was 20 degrees hotter than the main room and main bed room. The property management company was accommodating at every turn. They brought extra fans, cutting boards and other needs that the unit lacked.
At the end of the trip I would stay here again I just wish I knew what I was getting into. I hope this review helps.

For a family of 4, it was great to have two separate rooms and bathrooms. The view from the balcony is nice. The beds are very comfortable. I like to have a bath mat for both showers since the shower glass door can’t be close and the floor gets wet easily when you shower.

Blinking our eyes open to roaring waves and birds chirping was the best. Centrally located we were able to tour the whole island easily - any way you go the drive is 30 min or less. Condo is beautiful, clean and fully stocked. Short walk to beach access. We grilled out and enjoyed the pool. Checkin was easy. Would definitely come back.

Was a wonderful location. Beds were comfy. Condo had all the amenities we needed and more! The view from the balcony is exquisite. The beach nearby is quiet and sandy. Saw whales daily, relaxed and it was perfect!

This is a good property in a great part of the island. Maalaea is not the place to stay if you are wanting to be near the action, it's a quite location right on the ocean and a short walk from a beach popular with locals.
The unit is well equipped, the kitchen tools are good quality, and there is an excellent set of binoculars for watching the whales from your lanai.
We contacted the property management team with some questions and they were quick to respond and very helpful.
We would definitely consider this unit again.

Great location! Unit was just right, nicely furnished and equipped.
Our only recommends would be to add some hooks by the door for beach bags, purses, etc. and some in the bathrooms for the towels, and a full length mirror.
Would definitely book here again if available.

The condo is exactly as pictured, it is well equipped with everything you’ll need. Many days we sat on the balcony watching the whales while eating breakfast, truly a delightful way to spend time. The pool while somewhat small, was never crowded and the perfect temperature for cooling off. We rarely heard anyone else in the units around us and never anyone above us. The only downside for us was the beds, we are used to soft memory foam, the mattresses in the unit are nice mattresses but much firmer than we are used to which caused some sleepless nights. Additionally the couch while also appearing rather new was very stiff and not the most comfortable for longer periods of time. One of our kids was sick the first two days causing us to spend more time in the unit (and on the couch) than I think we normally would but it gave us a good chance to really evaluate the unit as a whole. It is a very clean unit with a beautiful view and ample space. Additionally the condo is very well located, it is a 7-10 minute drive to Kihei, 20 minutes to Lahaina as well as within walking distance to several shops, restaurants and the beach. We would happily stay here again, just perhaps with a topper on the bed for a better nights rest.

Great location and easy access to highways. Clean apartment with all amenities (pots, pans, bakeware, towels, each chairs...). Right on the water with amazing views, short walk to a pristine beach, turtles feeding every evening-amazing place.

Overall, this was a wonderful condo for our first family trip to Maui. We loved the open living space and airflow. Great lighting in the master bedroom and living space. Definitely in a great location and of course a gorgeous view from the lanai watching the ocean was beautiful.

1) Place is super clean, updated, comfy beds, and nice balcony -reserved parking spot included is a plus
2) The location is great if you have a car rental -you have great central access to most of the island
3) The neighborhood is nice and quiet -don’t stay here if you want to be in the center of action. Place is well built -never heard any noise from neighboring condos.
4) Didn’t matter to us but there is incoming flight noise overhead

This was our first stay in Maui. The island itself is PARADISE.
Island Sands is such in good location: close to Harbor, where all boats are departure for excursions, convenient store, a little mall, gas station and restaurant, 10 min drive to Kihei and 30 min to Airport. We found that it was so easy to find anything around. The place itself was perfectly clean, and had everything you need to stay comfortably. Kitchen appliances, and cutlery were so new and well organized. There is a lots of storage on kitchen! Fridge is very good size, so after Costco we got scared that we can fit all of our foods, but surprisingly everything was stored nice and we had even extra room :))
Thanks for owners binocular, we could able to watch whales every day, and they had enough of beach towels too.
Super stay! Thank you very much AA Oceanfront! We recommend this place for two adult couples or couple with 2-3 kids for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is a quaint little condo complex with an amazing view of the Bay, and friendly people. Unit 505 itself is wonderful, newly renovated new appliances, and sparkling clean. It had everything you could need in a kitchen. We cooked several nights and also used the gas grill by the pool, which was kept very clean. We would stay here again.
