We loved the house. We especially liked the extra refrigerator in the casita to store the extra food and beverages. Lucky for us, the trade winds were blowing and cooled the house. We would stay there again.

This house is gorgeous. I will say it does not have air conditioning and that is typically not a problem if the trade winds are blowing. During our stay the trade winds were not blowing very hard, so the house was warm, but we made it work. Can't say enough about how perfect this house was for our family and friends. There were 7 of us and we fit perfectly.
The location is fantastic. A very short walk to the Hanalei Bay Resort which has a great restaurant and bar area. We also went to the 1 Hotel which is gorgeous. A great beach just steps away too. Short drives to other great beaches, botanical garden, plantation train and ATV ride into where they filed Jurassic Park. So many things to do. The outdoor shower was great for hosing off the sand. No bugs anywhere and cute geckos and birds galore. The backyard is gorgeous and you can get there from most of the downstairs bedrooms.
Would definitely stay here again.

Gary is an excellent communicator. The home is spacious, clean, comfortable, and has so many extras. The beach equipment was a huge bonus. Gorgeous location in Princeville!

What a lovely time we had! The bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable, it was so great having a downstairs space for a family to have a kitchenette on their own with a young child. The kitchen and dining was spacious, but truly the most amazing part was the view from the lanai. We spent a great deal of time out there! The garage has lots of supplies for you to use at the beach. We look forward to coming again someday soon.

We stayed for almost a week during our time in Kauai, we loved this home for our family! The separate rooms, two kitchens and balcony was so nice having space for everyone to relax. Close to beaches and most activities are within an hour of the house!

We came to Kauai with 3 family generations to celebrate several events. This home was the perfect location for us! It was spotless, the check in process extremely simple. We had all the beach toys we needed. The home was large enough that we all had our own space when we needed it. We all agreed we would stay here again without hesitation!

Mere words can’t describe how perfect this home was for family of 7 while visiting Kauai for a week.
Communicating with the property mgr was easy. Not only was he always quick to respond but frequently anticipated our questions and answered them before we even asked. He checked in with us during our stay to make sure all was going well (which it was.)
The rooms are very large and the beds super comfy. There are windows everywhere that look out onto the most glorious views of the island and, when open, they let the trade winds thru which keeps the house cool.
The house was very clean. There are 2 kitchens (!) in the house with plenty of cooking supplies and a dishwasher. What a treat not having to hand wash the dishes after every meal!
The guest book for the house was clear and easy to understand the house rules and it included maps for easy walks to nearby beaches and a lot of other helpful info. There was snorkel equipment, a boogie board and bikes to use, too!
Last, and certainly not least, the host allowed us to have our wedding in the backyard. It isn’t a huge backyard but it’s a lovely lush and green one and our wedding was just our family of 7 so the backyard was the perfect size for it.
I can’t say enough good things about this house. It’s beautiful, it’s big, it’s in a gorgeous area, the area is super quiet, etc. it was incredibly peaceful there. I cannot wait to one day rent this beautiful home again!

Really well laid out property with plenty of places to both gather and retreat to privacy. This was perfect for an extended family. The kitchens(s) are great and the availability of beach equipment makes it a great value. The host was super easy to work with and communicated very well. The location was excellent because you can walk to some of the difficult to park at beaches. Would definitely rent again

Our stay in Princeville was amazing. The views of Wai'ale'ale from the lanai were amazing. Convenient access to shops, beaches, snorkeling, restaurants. House had everything needed for great days at the beach and adventures like coolers, chairs, boogie boards, SUP, bikes. Was great! We had the tradewinds and a few nice rains to cool things down, but there were a few days that we wished we had AC.

We stayed here with 4 couples (family). Plenty of room to spread out, plenty of bathrooms. The second kitchen was a nice touch, but the one upstairs is large enough we didn't even use the smaller one. Kitchen fully stocked, plenty of toliet paper, garbage bags, beach towels, bath towels, etc...the garage is stocked with beach goodies - boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, toys for kids, etc...great location in Princeville with amazing views from the second level. We had a great time and would absolutely stay here again. Thx Gary!!!

This house had everything that three generations of our family needed, including crib and high chair for the 15 month old, internet for those that needed to fit in a few hours of work, and beach gear including umbrellas, chairs and beach toys . The kitchen and grill were great. Location and views were outstanding. Check in and check out was easy as host Gary T. was a great communicator, making sure we had everything we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this wonderful home.

Such a lovely home. More than sufficient space for our 10 day visit!! The home was clean, furnishings were so nice from the beds to the dining chairs. All so comfy and helped us feel right at home!! There was an amazing selection of beach toys as well as bikes that we all enjoyed. So close to the beach, but private at the same time. The location was spot on!! With two separate kitchens, it gave us the opportunity to spread out the food too…such a luxury on vacation.
We’ve been coming to the islands for the past 10+ years… this is by far our most favorite place we’ve stayed. Two thumbs up for this amazing home!! Another note.. the host went above and beyond checking to see we had all we needed!! High marks in all areas!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing home and location. This was a great home for our group of ten, plenty of room for adults and kiddos to spread out. The views from the house, and especially from the upstairs lanai, are spectacular. This home is well stocked and has everything and more you could need. Gary is an amazing host, quick to communicate and respond to any questions. I would highly recommend staying at this home (I have stayed at a few homes in this area and this house is my favorite.) I look forward to staying here again!

Property was in outstanding condition - very high quality furnishings and had everything we needed. Location is perfect - a short walk to multiple places to eat at local resorts. View is to die for; really was exactly the relaxing location we were seeking. Really impressed with how well the coordination was to rent - everything was addressed and exactly as promised. We'll be back!

I do a lot of traveling and have stayed in many vacation rentals. Gary and Di's home is marked as one of the best I've stayed at. This house is huge! You can tell they pay attention to detail, the house is immaculate and very clean. Rooms are of good size and the bed was very comfortable -- I slept like a baby! From the 2nd floor dining and living room you have a beautiful view of the ocean and mountain. This place was very peaceful and a great place to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing, I will definitely be staying here again.

From the moment we arrived at Hale Hanalei we felt a sense of Home! Dinia and Gary were fantastic hosts. Everything that you would imagine from a vacation rental and more. The home was exceptionally clean and well kept. We even had surfboards and bicycles to use at our convenience. Riding to the St Regis Hotel for an espresso and sticky bun was a worthwhile bike ride. Our family will definitely return and stay longer the next time we are back in Princeville on Kauai. Thank you again for making our stay Special.

We stayed at this beautiful home with our family. It is decorated with Hawaiian furnishings and we especially enjoyed the beautiful mountain, waterfall, and beach views from every window! Mornings we enjoyed having breakfast at the large family style table watching the beautiful red birds peeking out at us! We were also greeted by rainbows stretching across the sky! The owners equipped the home with all that we needed to enjoy our stay- a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, a washer and dryer, beach accessories, bikes, beach toys, and chairs! I highly recommend this home. This is the best way to experience the true beauty and spirit of Kauai!
