The property is great, a smaller condo in between larger properties right on the water with great views. The pool area and hot tub are nice with a lovely kitchen and grill and dining area.
The area is fully open after the fires so support the local businesses that need some help.

We live our stay here. The location was perfect. We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the turtles. The building was nice a quiet and the property was just like the pictures. We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The condo was perfect for me, my husband, and our 4 year old son. (Even the pull-out bed was comfortable!) The views are absolutely incredible, and it was great having a full kitchen where we could eat-in with our son and soak up the breathtaking views!

The condo was great and had an amazing balcony with ocean view. Thanks to Maui properties service for giving us more clean bath and beach towels after we requested. The condo was overall very clean, however there was a large dead cacaroach on patio and other dead bugs along the inside of the sliding glass door.

The apartment was very nice, well set up kitchen and the bed was comfortable. The view was amazing and we saw a lot of whales and amazing sunsets.
The only negative is the carpet was stained and appeared worn, perhaps it could be replaced with some of the new vinyl flooring that is easy to keep clean especially near the beach.
Overall excellent experience with the beach so close as well as restaurants etc!

Maui Kai is an older, 10-story condo building at the ocean’s edge. There are no frills here, but the basics are good, and it would be hard to find a better location. We were on the third floor; the oceanfront balcony was outstanding with comfortable furniture, and we really enjoyed the whale-watching! The interior needs some attention-the carpeting is badly stained, and the walls need a fresh coat of paint to brighten up a rather dreary living area. The kitchen was well-equipped with updated appliances and granite countertops. We enjoyed the proximity to food trucks and other take-out places and often ate our dinners on the balcony while enjoying the whales, the sunsets, and the sound of the breaking waves. While having a rental car is ideal, there is also a convenient bus service (with a nearby stop-$2 or $1 sr. citizen) that goes to the Kaanapali resort area and Lahaina.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Good location next to where the food trucks are located. The beach near the property is quite good. The property is adjacent to the Westin so you can use the restaurants and the amenities at the Westin as well - just a few minutes worth a walk away.

We checked in Friday but they did not send us a service mgr till Monday. So we had to watch tv in the bedroom only. The unit was carpeted. There were stains throughout. Pretty disgusting. I would suggest not using this company. We will not again.

Everything about this unit was great. Location, view, comfort, amenities, convenience, etc. The management responded quickly to a minor issue, and it was resolved immediately. The unit was quiet, and the stay was very relaxing.

This was our first time traveling to Hawaii and could not be more happy with this condo. The location is perfect and the view from the balcony is just incredible. We saw whales each day we were there right from our own balcony! It was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back. The management team was great to work with. This is a MUST place to stay.

What a great 10 year anniversary trip. This condo was great in all ways. We now have our go to condo and property when we visit maui.
The lanai was the best and where we spent 90% of our time. If you want peaceful relaxation then this is your room and property.

This is a nice unit in an older building in a great location. The unit has been beautifully remodeled with nice finishes and comfortable furnishings. That said, it missed the mark for us. The balcony is large and right on the water but doesn’t have a small table to have meals outside. The kitchen is sparsely outfitted with a hodgepodge of random items. Two mismatched coffee mugs, a broken can opener, no spices, not even salt or pepper, lack of cookware. The beach chairs were so old the zippers are corroded, no beach umbrella. All these really little things just added up. With such a small amount of effort it could be a great rental. We had a great stay but most likely wouldn’t rent this unit again.

We loved the balcony! It was our favorite part about the unit. So private! We spent mornings and evenings out there. The moonlight and sunsets were spectacular.

The view was spectacular, the unit was incredibly comfortable and roomy with full kitchen and appliances, the balcony was very large and had very comfortable outdoor furniture, the bed was heavenly and we had a wonderful time. Needs only a few minor fixes and some new pots and pans, but that's quibling. Loved it!

Of all the properties we have seen in this area, this one by far is the best for view, privacy and experience. Along with incredible sunsets we saw turtles and dolphins, right from our balcony! We will not hesitate to book here again. Excellent experience. Thank you!

Overall a good experience. Building and unit are dated. zero interaction with any front desk staff, no amenities other than small pool and hot tub- which were very clean and kept well. No keys in lockbox when we arrived, but local staff were available via text and dropped some the next day. The unit’s carpet is dirty, should be replaced, ideally with tile. The AC drips water consistently due to the humidity, directly over the toilet. Kitchen and Bath are newly renovated and nice. View is outstanding. Location is great with walking to beautiful beaches and Duke’s restaurant on beach and others inland.

Can not say enough how beautiful the views are from the balcony. Nice resort, very laid back vibes. No complaints about the entirety of the stay, would absolutely recommend.
