BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.
IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

The bath room could have been bigger but that was the only thing that wasnt great about our room . Quite , clean and open your sliding door and there's the Ocean , you can hear the waves as they put you to sleep at night ! I would recommend this unit for 2 people for your next stay

We picked this condo largely on the location and view and they did not disappoint! Turtles outside the window and sunset views every night was pretty great. Add to the fact that the boardwalk is available next door to run in the morning or walk to Dukes or Piaolo makes for a great location.

I’m so glad we splurged a little to get this ocean view dream condo. Spotlessly clean. About as close to the water as you can possibly get. BRING YOUR BINOCULARS… we saw countless whales (even though it’s the end of the season) and even saw some breach way off in the distance. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

You can’t get a better view to watch the whales, turtles and sunsets! Sleeping with the sound of the waves, a quiet pool area, and nice lawn for sun bathing were a few of our favorite things. The kitchen and bathroom felt new and modern. Construction was going on right next to our room…..the noise didn’t bother us too much but it was noticeable during the day. We will be back!

Listing and pictures are accurate. This is on the north end of the beach and on the end of the Kaanapali Beach Board walk. It is next to Honua Kai our favorite resort on Kaanapali beach and less expensive. The unit is dated and could use some updates, but the unit is nice as is. There is a lot of construction, but this did not bother us.

Studio condo 713 at the Mahana has everything for a perfect vacation. Wake up to a view of the ocean with palm trees swaying in the breeze. Just the right furniture to accommodate two people and keep the “stuff” put away. Kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware for eating in. There are no spices, coffee, sugar etc so come prepared. Pool and hot tub were very clean. The resort was quiet when we were there in March. A quiet crowd. The whales were in full form and sighted often from the property. Check in was a breeze! Know which tower you are going to or you’ll end up in the wrong elevator. Having beach chairs to borrow in the unit was a bonus.

We have stayed at the Mahana several times and the location cannot be beat. The views are second to none, and it is an easy walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants and a nice walk to the main part of Kaanapali beach.
The unit was very clean and generally as described. We felt that a few minor improvements would make the unit even better. Some simple additions such as a kettle, a kitchen knife, a non-stick frying pan and some essential panty items such as commonly used spices would make a big difference.
But, all in all, a wonderful unit.
A note on the construction - this did not affect our rating at all, but it is important to note that the construction in the building was ongoing. For our two weeks, there was a notice indicating that we were not to go on the lanai on Monday - Friday from 7-4. The noise from the construction could be quite loud at times, but there is so much to do in Maui that it was never difficult leaving the condo to escape it. The construction was quiet after 4:00 pm and on weekends.

This is the second time we've stayed at this property. This unit (suite) was enough space for two adults for the entire week. It is well-stocked, clean, and has an incredible view - it's as close to the ocean as one can get in a condo.

My wife and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. Overall, we were very happy with the place and was exactly what we were looking for. Couple things to point out:
You will not find a better view/balcony. It almost feels like you are on a cruise ship since you are so close to the water. I felt like we were on the balcony more than the actual room.
The unit has everything you could possible need for a vacation (e.g. kitchen stuff, beach chairs, etc.)
The overall resort is just OK. If you are looking for more of a resort feel with nice pool area, I wouldn't stay here.
The beach right outside the resort is as a little rocky but there are tons of better beaches all within a 15 minute drive.
Overall, we are very happy with the unit and would absolutely stay here again.

There were very limited amenities. No ice machine or availability to get any. The bed is less than comfortable. Very limited cooking items in the kitchen . The beach chairs we’re broken. There was construction being done and the pool closed 2 days in the middle of the day while we were there, which honestly is the only thing going for this place. We were also told we could not have a later check out. Not allowed to check in before 4pm and out of the hotel by 10am. You basically loose a day due to “cleaning needs” for a 1 room studio. Seems excessive when the room was not anything fancy at all.
Thank you for the beach view and that’s about it. Not likely to return.

This is in the heart of Lahaina, right on the beach! With a shopping complex right across the street from the entrance to theahana resort. Lots of great beaches, restaurants within a short drive. And the beach access right down below is just awesome for a quick snorkelling or swim session or a nice romantic walk on the beach! Check in process and directions to the property were perfect! Overall a great experience!

We had a lovely stay. The property had a nice little beach and pool area, and the view from our porch was beautiful. We honestly didn’t spend that much time there since we were exploring the island so much, but the bed was extremely comfortable, and the property was quiet at night for sleeping. We had easy access to highways to get where we were going, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a food truck park only a quarter mile from the property. It was a great option for quick and less expensive dinners. We were also nice and close to Front Street and other areas that had more upscale shops and dining. Make sure to check out Slaughterhouse Beach, less than ten minutes north! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
