This place has a very "beach house" vibe going for it. It's not the newest place in town and definitely has some signs of being a little dated, but overall, we loved the place! It was super nice to have the extra room for our baby. The property management were super easy to get ahold of and we're constantly making sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. They pointed us in the right direction for baby rental equipment when they were unable to provide one themselves (not a negative at all, just grateful they know who to call about a pack and play for my son). We would absolutely come back and stay here! Mahalo and thanks!

Condo is clean and well stocked. It could use some upgrading, cabinets and carpet are very old. Beautiful views of the deck and sunsets are breath taking. If you come talk to Christie she is very nice and helpful.

Loved the location! Easy check in and out process. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets, watched the locals surf, saw whales and dolphins, too. It would be nice to have a light out on the lanai. Otherwise, we will be staying here again!

Comfortable unit in a wonderful location. This cozy condo was perfect for our family of four. The view cannot be beat, the lanai was spacious. The basics are provided, we had a great stay at a very reasonable price point. Check in and check out were easy and quick!

Aloha Kona Bali Kai! We stayed in the penthouse and it has a spectator view! This is a perfect unit for a family of 6! The ocean is right below so you can dip your toes or just soak up that fabulous Hawaii sunshine. Mahalo

The rental was somewhat dated and the second bedroom was very basic. There were no beach chairs. Having said that the Lanai was lovely and looked directly over the ocean. We watch whales breach and the surfers every morning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kona Bali Kai. The ocean is so close that you can hear the waves crashing. We watched the surfers daily while drinking coffee on the lanai. The condo was a perfect size for my husband and me, and we cooked most of our meals there.

Everything about this property was perfect. EXACTLY as the pictures show. We had a small issue with the a/c system, reported it and it was INSTANTLY resolved. Management went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. And it was.

The best thing about this place was the view!! The second bedroom was toward the road & was hard to leave the window open for the air movement. We bought a fan that did help. The air-conditioner didn't work that well & was very shocking that it was on a timer!! The place seemed smaller than I thought it would be but there was a lot of extras like snorkel gear & a cooler which was great! The rental company was really good about letting me know ahead of time of some scheduled maintenance (bug spray).

2nd time at this property and it did not disappoint! We spent 3 glorious weeks and had everything we needed in this condo! All personnel were friendly. Enjoyed the pool and the beach. Great place to sit on lanai and watch surfers. Wonderful location to the rest of the island. We will visit again!

We were very happy with our stay at Kona Bali Kai 204. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. The management was in contact with us from the time of rental through to checkout - communications were very clear. The location of this condo is amazing. The lanai faces the ocean and there’s a beautiful ocean breeze, no need for air conditioning. We watched surfers from the lanai, and the tide pools were great for wandering and exploring. Beds were comfortable, kitchen very functional, all appliances worked well (appreciated the washer/dryer) and bathrooms had good showers. We would definitely recommend this unit

The rental unit has a fantastic oceanfront view and the location was a short drive to restaurants and shopping. It was a quiet location. The unit was clean and appliances were in good working order. Overall, the unit was outdated and needs remodeled. The furniture was old with a worn out and uncomfortable couch that had holes in the cushions. There were minimal items in the unit so we had to buy trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap. It was not communicated to us that we needed to provide these items so it would have been helpful to know in advance. We had to go to the store to stock up on these items which was an additional, unexpected cost to us. The property was average and the central trash receptacle was continually overflowing. It appeared some remodeling was going on around the property with old furniture stacked near the designated smoking area. Ample parking is available but many locals park in the garage during the spring day so we couldn’t park close or in the designated parking space for our unit. We will explore other rental options for future vacations.

Had a wonderful time in this unit … awesome value for oceanfront Kona! The view was spectacular, and I like how the palm trees perfectly frame the sunset yet provide a bit of shade from the midday sun … nice planning!
The place was nicely furnished, well cared for, and squeaky clean. I can’t think of anything it lacked. I especially enjoyed the grounds which I felt were extremely under-utilized by the residents. The complex commands a large frontage along the ocean and there are many places to sit alone and contemplate life and enjoy the view and sounds. I also enjoyed watching the surfers on the nearby break. A splendid setting for a peaceful vacation.

Great view from lanai, staff very responsive to repair leak under kitchen sink and reestablish lost tv signal. Property in need of thorough cleaning, repair/replacement needed for multiple items (broken hair dryer and kitchen utensils, closet doors and sliding glass doors that are difficult or impossible to move). Refrigerator operates well, but is rusty and unsightly. Very outdated property. Only half of bedroom closets are accessible. We inadvertently left clothing items in one of the closets, but were told they were not there. Very disappointed with this property and would not return, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

We loved this place. First, it was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well -stocked with spices, pots and pans, left-over storage containers, etc. I have stayed at many VRBO's and this is one of the best, as far as being well-stocked. The fridge is plenty big and has a lot of space for anything you need to put into it. The freezer makes a lot of ice and fast! It does look old, but it works well. There was a few dishwasher pods, which we did go through and left a new package for the next group.
The bedrooms were spacious, the beds were very soft and so comfortable. There were plenty of hangers in each closet, extra linens if needed. We had plenty of towels for showering. I had been worried with the lack of air-conditioning along with the one in the master bedroom begin on a 2- hour timer, but my worry was not necessary. Opening the sliding glass doors and the front door creates a steady, perfect temperature breeze. We only used the air once, when we got sunburned. Listening to the sound of the ocean is so calming. The ocean front is the reason I choose this location, so listening to it it day and night is so enjoyable. The lanai was hands down the best part of this place. It was shaded most of the day. We enjoyed our morning coffee on it, while watching the surfers. We called it free entertainment! We had all of our dinners out there, as well as playing cards at night. It was pure perfection! We spent most of out time on the lanai, but the living room although small, is plenty big for 4 adults. When we arrived we received a voice message that the TV had gone out, but before we checked in, it was replaced. The TV is now fairly large, but we did not use it. The wifi was 5G and worked well. As far as beach items, they had 1 Boogie Board, 3 sand chairs, 1 noodle, 2 umbrellas, 1 decent size ice chest, and 3 beach towels. I would honestly recommend getting more beach towels, they are not expensive and we would not have done so much laundry, which would save money! Kona Bali Kai is centrally located, so it was convenient to all the island adventures you want. The pool is nice, they just converted it to a salt water pool, which feels so great. There are showers inside the pool gates and outside to wash off the sand and salt from your time at the beach or snorkeling. Overall, the accommodations could not have been better. When we return to the Big Island, we will book this place again.
