We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Summit Residence and are already planning when we can book it again. The house is absolutely stunning and so spacious. We loved having the pool and hot tub after a day at the beach, the kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals, and it's walking distance (or a 2 min drive) to the beach or the hotels nearby if you want a meal out. Thomas was such an excellent property manager and gave us some great recommendations like going to the local fish market to get fresh fish which we bbq'd at the house for tacos. I honestly have nothing negative to say and part of me wants to keep the house a secret so it's not booked up the next time we go back. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect and we can't wait to visit again!

My 50th birthday gift to myself was to share one of mine and my husband’s favorites places with our parents, our children, and grandchildren. So it was our treat to bring them to Maui!! Due to the devastation on the island, our planned vacation was iffy as the resort we were staying at was cancelling reservations during our travel dates. Needless to say, I was losing hope and nearly cancelled our trip. One week before our travel date, I miraculously stumbled upon Summit Residence after weeks of searching for a place that would accommodate our family of 10 adults and infants. If this doesn’t make you believe in miracles and a reminder that what’s meant to be will always be, Summit Residence did!! Instead of splitting our family up into two villas, we were now all under one roof!! And what a treat it was! The house was absolutely perfect for our family. We loved spending time in the pool together, enjoying the hot tub while we watched the sunset, grilling on the lanai, and all the extras like the pack n’ plays, beach chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, and the fun game room! I learned how to play pool, and my 81 y/o father kicked all of our butts - talk about a pool shark! This home turned my frown upside down! I didn’t miss having to run down early in the morning to put our towels out on the lounge chairs! Steve and Thomas took excellent care of us. They only had one rule - “Have a great time!” Turned out to be the best family vacation I could’ve ever imagined!!

The Summit is an amazing property with every detail well thought out from the artwork, furnishings, beach gear and stocked bathrooms to the wonderful welcome basket! Thomas couldn’t have made the check in and check out process any easier. The location can’t be beat with a short walk to the Whalers Village. It has the best stocked kitchen with any kitchen utensil a cook could possibly need. The soaking tub was phenomenal and all 5 couples in our party thoroughly enjoyed the pool and outdoor patio. When we come back to Maui, we will stay here again!

This house was everything we wished for. Beautiful home on the Kaanapali golf course. The pool and hot tub were in use constantly by our group. House was well stocked and also had beach stuff including surf boards, boogie boards, chairs and sand toys. If we needed anything or had concerns we got very quick response. We want to come back!

We rented this beautiful home for a family trip for 8 adults and 2 small children. The management company was very responsive to inquiries prior to arrival and although we arrived very late in the evening, the check in process was smooth and the instructions for getting in and situated were very clear. The house was absolutely perfect for our group and we loved spending time on the lanai and at the pool. Great location near Kaanapali beach and Whalers village, which was easily walkable from the house. We particularly appreciated the availability of a pack and play, wagon and some beach toys for the kids. We look forward to the opportunity to return in the future!

We had a great time staying at the Kaanapali Summit Residence! The house was spacious and relaxing, with a wonderful pool deck, game area, fully equipped kitchen, and decor true to the Maui vibe. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again if/when we return. The location was simply phenomenal! The environment the home gives off is very luxurious and yet relaxing at the same time. There were some minor annoyances, but those were not deal breakers for us, as I said we would for sure stay here again!
Minor annoyances; The Keurig was sitting on the kitchen counter broken, without any note stating such. Was told a new one would be brought over which never happened. The door to the "Blue" room(the one without it's own bathroom), was not a very private door, and any activity in the kitchen can clearly be heard. It's a really nice room, but due to it's location, it would be nice to have a more private door. The listing is a little deceiving in regards to this bedroom setup and location. We were there for 9 nights, so there were some opportunities for TV time, but setting up the TV's was a bit of a challenge with no instructions found to assist..........as I said, these are not deal-breakers in my opinion, just a little annoying is all!
This was a family gathering, and as such we had some unfortunate drama, but the staff was very understanding, and for that I am very grateful. Besides this our Maui adventure would not have been as awesome as it was anywhere else. The Summit Residence was definitely worth the investment!!

My husband and I rented this house with 4 other couples. Our ages were 53-81, all very young at heart. The house is nice but we don’t feel the website represents it as it is today. In looking at the website to us it appears as if the house is a lot newer then it truly is. Although there are some very nice Hawaiian art and decor the house needs some tender loving care in some respects. The large ice maker was broken, the A/C did not work in one of the bedrooms, the sliding glass doors when shut often would lock thus leaving someone locked outside of the house. They need to be adjusted. The exercise equipment was not the best and an old Kuerig coffee maker broke half way through our trip. Our biggest disappointment was we thought each couple would have their own full bathroom. That was not the case. We found out after we arrived that one of the bedrooms was supposed to use the bathroom outside by the pool area. In the middle of the night asking a senior citizen to walk through a dark house and outside to the pool area to use the bathroom is not a luxury vacation home. Therefore, 2 couples ended up having to share a bathroom. It is advertised that it is in walking distance to shops, restaurants etc, Whalers Village, and yes it is just about a 20 minute walk but the first 2 blocks are very very steep. Half of our group who are very active could make this walk but the other half with bad knees could not handle the steepness coming and going every day, therefore had to drive. Upon arrival the house was somewhat cleaned, but not pristine, especially the kitchen floor. We had asked for the sofa bed to be made up and it was not. Since we arrived around 8pm we could not get ahold of the management company, so we had to compromise our first night and take off a top sheet to one of the other beds being used just so the sofa bed had one sheet. This left one of the king beds with no top sheet. For the positives of this house the management company was very responsive. When I was able to reach them the next day they came over and gave us the sheets we needed. The house was equipped with TP, paper towels, dish washing soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, shampoo, soaps etc all the essentials. A lot of VRBO homes you have to buy all of that. The best part of the house was the pool. It is a nice size pool and the stone turtles in it make it very decorative. We immensely enjoyed the pool area daily!!

The Summit Residence is everything we hoped it would be and more. Clean, beautiful and spacious with tons of amenities—not the least of which is the gorgeous heated pool. It was so relaxing to wake up everyday and go for a long swim.
Maui is beautiful with plenty to do and having a fantastic house to return to made each day something special.

This house was amazing and perfect for a large group. We had 7 adults and 2 children, ages 6 & 2. It was all we could have asked for and more. After grocery shopping, we really had no reason to leave as we had our own oasis. On the way to the house we received a call the AC in the bottom level was not working. They had already had fans running to keep it cool. They purchased two portable AC's and had them installed right away. We used the pool every day. The property manager and owner were very accessible. They wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to house a large number of people. It was perfect in every way!!

Our group of eight, all adult family members, got of to a rough start with no one there to give us an orientation- property mgr. had COVID symptoms. Had a few issues with Wi-Fi and a/c, but Steve, the owner, was very responsive.
The home is in a great location and has all the amenities you could want. The kitchen has every tool you would expect to need and the two fridges and commercial ice maker were used extensively.
The poolside full bath is not really usable from inside the house, but the remaining 4 1/2 baths were adequate for our 3 couples and two adult siblings.
Future guests will not be disappointed. This is a very nice lodging for larger groups that offers many on-site and nearby activities to please everyone in the group. Enjoy…

The best way to summarize our stay at the Summit Residence was Fantastic! Everything was as listed in the online information. The home is beautiful, excellent location just north of downtown Lahaina and away from the hustle and bustle of the area and only a 10min walk to the beach. Our family enjoyed many evenings sitting by the pool and watching the sunsets. The house has everything you could possibly want and more. We had nine people in our party and the house is large enough that all of us had plenty of room. Absolutely our best experience renting a house yet. You should have no hesitation about renting this location.

Eight family members (two generations) from 4 different states gathered to have a wonderful week together. This property is amazing. The kitchen is very well stocked and would be wonderful to cook in if we had chosen to! Very comfortable beds! Plenty of space to gather together or to be off on your own. Can't say enough about the pool that was all ours. We had a hard time ever leaving the house!! We were even able to see whales in the distance from the lanai! Wished we would have packed binoculars. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Kaanapali beach and Whaler's village. The return walk is a bit steep but the 60+ folks in the group managed nicely. So pleased to have beach chairs, boogy boards, surf boards, and a cooler for our use. The property is right on the golf course and the mowing crew started at 5:30 am each morning - at least we were up for sunrise!! Landscaping was superb. We had no need to contact the manager, but he was very personable when he stopped by and I'm sure he would be very responsive. The welcome gift basket and the fresh floral arrangements were a very nice touch! We could have stayed here forever. Hoping to return some day!

My friends and I had a great time staying at the Summit Residence! The whole process went very smoothly and we were able to enjoy the beautiful home to relax and make memories. Communication was very easy and open with the property manager and we felt so welcomed. They provided some great recommendations of places to check out during our visit.
It was fantastic to have lots of common areas where we could gather but also space where we could spread out.
We loved having access to the surfboards, beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler. Knowing we could borrow those things was so convenient and really made our vacation even more fun and stress free!
It was amazing to know that even when we weren’t out exploring the island, we had a great place to come back to and cook a meal together, hang out by the pool, or play games. We hope to go back some day! Thanks!

We had a great time. The house is located a nice walk to Kaanapali Beach which we did multiple times per day. We loved having a pool to ourselves and all of the privacy that this home offered, while also being an easy walk away from restaurants and the beach. The only downside of this place, which we think we’re more than offset it by the many upsides, was the early morning noise from the golf course lawnmowers, which start well before dawn every day.

Manager incredibly generous with beach toys and gear from boards to chairs. We had a few minor hiccups with pool and internet but the management fixed within 30 minutes. Nothing big or their fault but they were on it as fast as we called them. They left us some very nice gifts to welcome us to their property. Property not new but still very nice in a classic way. Nice floor plan for our five adult children with spouses and a few babies. Not too many family options like this on Maui. Sincerely grateful to management who tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

This house is truly amazing. The pool is beautiful, hot tub, work out room.....we did not want to leave. It was immaculate and decorated in a cool Hawaiian vibe. My husband and I and our 3 daughters (late teens/20's) had a blast. The house is huge and definitely could have fit another family. This was our first time in Hawaii and we were unsure which area to stay in. We loved the pictures of the house but didn't know much about the location. It turns out the neighborhood is a few streets away from the shops, restaurants, hotels and beaches. We could walk into town, but we were also able to enjoy the feel of being in a house in a neighborhood. The property manager was waiting for us when we arrived and he even let in a grocery delivery service that we used so we would walk into a stocked refrigerator. He gave me his cell number to text him for any recommendations for restaurants, beaches, sites to see. There are surfboards, beach chairs and everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend staying in this little piece of heaven.

Beautiful house, great location.A five minute drive to the beach a 10 minute drive to downtown in Lahaina. Situated on a hill overlooking the ocean, beautiful views. The house was perfect fit for us, As they were five bedrooms and five of us.
There were a few issues with the house, that management did respond to.
Air condition throughout the house and all the rooms are very spacious.
The front lanai and the pool were definitely the highlights of the house. And beautiful landscaping throughout.

Our stay was very good. Plenty of room for us all and fun at every turn. The refrigerator in the kitchen needs something done with the door, my 8 year old grandson couldn’t even open it because it stuck so bad. There were issues with the air conditioner. Fortunately there were fans in all the rooms that ‘helped. The temperature would climb over the course of the day and stay at about 79/80 all evening into the night. Fortunately the game room down stairs was cool. We ultimately enjoyed out vacation and made lots of wonderful memories.

The first we noticed right away was the view from the patio, which completely mesmerizing at sunset - with the sun going down over the ocean. The house was perfect for 10 of us, 4 adults and children ranging from 2 to 6. There was space to get together and play and ample space to retreat to your own room when needed. The pool was heated and we enjoyed swimming around most afternoons before dinner. The location can't be beat - 10-20 minute walk to Ka'anapali depending on where you are going. 10 minute drive to Lahaina. The hosts were on site to help us get settled and were in touch several times throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

We visited with 3 other couples and had a fabulous time! There was plenty of room for everyone since the bedrooms were all spaced out well. If you like to wake up with the sun, pick the Blue Room. If you prefer to sleep in and not want any noise, choose the downstairs room since it is darker and quiet. I stayed in the Ka'anapali Vista room because I wanted to sit on my private lanai and sip coffee while looking at the ocean - PERFECT spot! The couple who chose Serenity used the soaking tub often and raved about it!
The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked some gourmet meals (filet minion, fish tacos, kalbi ribs) but we were also close enough to walk down to the fantastic restaurants on Ka'anapali beach. We spent a lot of time by the pool and almost every evening in the hot tub. The early risers in our group worked out poolside every morning.
Our guys had a lot of fun playing pool in the man-cave downstairs and all of us actually had a TON of fun singing karaoke! We didn't really use the DVD's, we just connected to the amazing sound system and used the microphones to sing along.
It was great to be by the golf course and watch folks on that hole. The neighbors (and their lovely dogs) were super nice.
We did run into a maintenance problem, but it was quickly attended to.
Overall, our whole group highly recommends the Summit Residence! We hope to be back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Summit Residence at Kaanapali Vista. We have 5 couples celebrating a 45th and a 50th birthday. It was the first time I've stayed on Maui that I have not been in a condo on the beach. We were not disappointed. I don't know if I could go back. The personal space, pool, extras in the home made this feel like we were at home - yet on vacation!
This place could not be set up better form the stocked kitchen supplies, to everything you need for the beach, location is perfect - and many times our group walked down to Black Rock - less than a mile!

Our incredible stay started with thoughtful welcome gifts and exploring this beautiful residence, which was decorated exquisitely and updated with many modern touches.
Every part of our trip was memorable, but the residence was our safe haven and made our trip come alive, allowing my family to experience so many special moments together.
The residence is in the perfect location - in the heart of Maui, literally walking distance to the beach (Kaanapali resort). We'd have breakfast, jump into the stunning pool, grab the house's boogie boards and beach gear and head to the beach — 3 min away. We'd change, go for lunch at one of Whaler’s Village's many amazing restaurants, walk the boardwalk, people watch... it's all right there. The home is located in the center of every activity we wanted to do.
At one point, two family members were out playing golf and called us from the sixth hole -- open the kitchen sliders, they said. We walked out onto the deck, and there they were, right on the tee! What a treat, to see the ocean view from one side of the home, and the gorgeous manicured lawns of a golf course from the other side.
The residence was even more luxurious and well appointed than we were expecting. Any problem or concern that arose was addressed immediately by the very capable and kind owner, realtors and property manager. More importantly, the residence enabled the nine members of our family traveling from both coasts to vacation comfortably under one roof. We listened to the powerful Sonos sound system in every room. We laughed, sang karaoke, played pool, foosball and video games, dipped in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub. We celebrated a birthday and a 50th anniversary with the most important people in the world. We experienced the joy of family reunited in Paradise.
We didn’t want a large party in a catering hall, nor did we want a cruise or a trip to Paris. We wanted our loved ones together, and we couldn't imagine having done it in a more incredible home.

We have stayed in 90-100 vacation rental homes over the past 20 years. Summit is, by far, the very best. And not just because of the location and awesome features; all of which it has. Where it goes beyond is the personal touches and the details. There were board games, there was beach equipment. There were more than enough toilet paper rolls, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, spices in the cabinets, laundry detergent, jumbo sized bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash (I cannot tell you how many times I have had to go out to the store for these basics *multiple times* in the past at other rentals, which is super annoying.) Plus: comfy beds, high end pool furniture, even makeup wipes in the bathroom. He has literally thought of everything!! Order your groceries ahead of time & you’re good to go. Basically just show up with your swimsuit. There was plenty of space for our family of 10 plus 2 babysitters. None of us ever felt remotely cramped or on top of each other. There were 2 fridges and an ice maker (hello! We have one at home too and have never seen one before in a rental...and just think of how much ice a family of 10 uses in Maui!) We were just spoiled rotten!! And: There was a problem with the AC when we arrived, which is no one’s fault- and if you’re familiar with how things work on the islands, you can’t get things fixed overnight, but here’s where our experience went from wonderful to amazing: the caretaker showed up immediately before we even arrived with ample fans for all over the house; and then the owner of the house showed up and PERSONALLY fixed the air conditioning for us the next day...simply because our comfort was important to him, we didn’t have to wait days on end. He also gave us a price break for the inconvenience. AND came over to blow up inflatable pool toys for our kids. Who does all that?!? Seriously, we have never ever had this kind of experience with a rental property before. Steven is a customer service expert, as far as we’re concerned. The personal touch makes ALL the difference!!! We felt so cared for. The entire vibe of the place is to just enjoy yourself and relax...abundantly and continuously. The meditation area off the master bathroom is nothing less than stunningly beautiful and serene. I actually feel as if referring to Steven’s place as a “rental” does it a disservice- it feels as if you’re staying in your good friend’s home. We will be back for sure, no question. Mahalo Steven!!!

Stayed here for New Years week. House is very spacious and well layout out. Located on the golf course so you see golfers playing threw but only from the back side porch area. Management company contacted us a number of times to ask if we needed anything and if all was ok-- who does that anymore? You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a nice property a short distance to the beach and town.

We loved staying at this property. The house is lovely and spacious. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and work out equipment. There was lots of space for our family of 8. We walked to Kaanapali Beach and found the location fantastic. We cooked many meals and enjoyed many special moments sitting outdoors looking at the view. The owner and manager were very attentive and great to meet. A wonderful week in paradise at a special home.

This home was perfect for our large multigenerational family. It provided the space and amenities for everyone's needs. The owner’s were extreme melt attentive but stayed out of our hair. The kitchen is well stocked. The nicest touch was a small Christmas tree and some Christmas decorations they put out for us. We will be coming back for sure!

I can not say enough great things about this house and our stay. Steve, Barry, and Thomas were more than helpful with anything we asked. The house is great for families with any age kids or just adults. From the downstairs game room with 2 big TVs, an Xbox, pool and foosball table to the pool, hot tub, and weight room. Plus....it is secluded enough but minutes from grocery stores and Whalers Village for shopping or eating. And if you love to golf you are right on the golf course. Thank you again to Steve, Barry, and Thomas for all of your help before and during our trip.

Our three-generation group had a fabulous time at Summit Residence. Everything the other reviews say is true -- stunning views; exceptional convenience to shops, beaches, and restaurants; complete privacy; and meticulous maintenance. We have rented a number of luxury properties, and this one surpasses them all with its amazing art works and antiques, the Sonos music system, and the thoughtful little touches that Steven provided (toiletries and laundry soap and spices! Yay!). I can't say enough good things about this fantastic property and the level of service that Honua Kai offers.

Our mouths were open as we got our initial tour of the premises. So spacious and well appointed. All bedrooms were spaced out for privacy. Plenty of places to gather.....pool area, back deck, downstairs game room, living room, large kitchen area. The back of the house backs up to a golf course (pit stop while playing a round!) and the front offers views of the ocean beyond the hotels of Ka’anapali. Very close to lovely restaurants in whalers village. Workout room was a great offering for those who wanted to control vacation eating and drinking. Many items were included to make our beach trips more enjoyable....coolers, chairs, towels, boogie boards, etc. The management team was awesome......friendly, helpful, available. Highly recommend!

A wonderful week with three generation family vacation. The Summit Home is everything and more from the pictures and reviews. We took advantage of it all, working out with exercise equipment, billiard pool competition, golf, beach walking. swimming, snorkeling, hiking grilling out and just hanging out around the pool. Steven and Barry were most helpful and gave us great recommendations on restaurants, beaches, snorkeling and hiking. The time just pasted too quickly.

Where to start... The views, the location, the amenities (that master bath!), the home itself, everything about this place was wonderful! Every morning we had coffee on the back patio overlooking the golf course, and each evening we watched the sunset from the patio overlooking the pool, and ocean. There are multiple beaches and grocery stores nearby and the home was equipped with everything you need to cook a fabulous meal or pack a beach picnic, down to (very nice) beach bags. We had 3 couples, and two singles (8 people total) and the accommodations worked perfectly with 4 bedrooms with king beds and a pullout sofa bed. Steven and Barry were super friendly and checked in a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed. A+++ all around, next time we're back in Maui, we will 100% be staying here again! Aloha 🌺
