Our family of 6 had a great stay. Lots of space, big kitchen/living/dining combo, nice patios, and comfortable beds. With the access to Mauna Lani beach club, our family was able to test snorkeling before the trip to Captain Cook snorkeling boat tour. Lots of snorkel gears, floaties, boogie boards, beach chair and towels to use. Mike was super helpful and responsive, providing lots of great suggestions about local activities too. Would love to come back!

We love Mauna Lani! The neighborhood is always so quiet and the grounds are beautiful. Mike was always very responsive to our needs of and when any problems came up. For example we had no full propane tanks for the BBQ but Mike had someone deliver us a tank within minutes of me sending him a text. We also had a situation where the pool was quite dirty on one day but once again Mike sent a message to the community property manager and it was resolved the next day. That’s quite impressive. Overall this is the place to be on the Big Island, we love our stays at the Shiwota properties.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at KaMilo with 3 families. The home an amenities are perfect for a group of any size. Each family in our party had their own area and comfortable common area for when we were all together. The kids enjoyed the pool and boogie boards at the beach while adults took in the views, walked, and visited the fitness center. Looking forward to a return visit!

This home was very spacious and accommodating for our group of 8 adults - nearly everyone had their own sleeping space. Great neighborhood and very nice pool and beach amenities. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. The home is in good condition. On the constructive side, I saw a review from about a year ago about the primary bedroom’s bed caving in the middle and was disappointed to see that hasn’t changed. Linens were a bit worn and the home lacked some items that I would expect from a luxury rental (bathroom rugs, basic spices like salt and pepper, enough coffee mugs for 12, etc). The main lanai furniture only seats 4. But all in all this was a wonderful place to stay, close to the beach and other interesting places to visit.

A wonderful 4-bedroom property in beautiful Mauna Lani, with every convenience close by, from the best off-property beach to the best on-property beach, restaurants, great grocery story, Costco, Target, Tommy Bahama …… all within a short walk (grocery and Tommy Bahama) or drive.
Horse back riding is 35 to 45 minutes away, near Waimea, the Volcano is a beautiful two hour drive around Mauna Kea, which was a joy to see at Sunrise and Sunset.
The property had every convenience you could ever want. We needed nothing more than groceries and sun tan lotion!
Mike Sigwota was a great property manager always getting back to us immediately with answers to any questions we had. Superb!
This was a family outing with kids and grandkids , and they all had a wonderfully, memorable time. They can’t wait to come back to build more memories. Five Star!

Went with my grown children and 5 grandchildren. Plenty of room, nice pool area as well as the beach club. Mauna Lani is a little distance away from Kona but otherwise a great place to stay.

This is a lovely property in a great location. It was just the right layout and size for our extended family of 8 that included our children and grandchildren. The pools were great and enjoyed by us all. The private beach was one of our favorites on the island and was especially nice for the kids due to the nice sand and calm water. The unit needs a little work: washing machine, vacuum cleaner and grill were broken when we arrived, but the management was very responsive and fixed those problems quickly when we asked; the stovetop took us all a while to figure out and a little instruction card for it would be helpful; some of the pans are not flat enough to work on the stovetop; there needs to be a few more bowls, plates and kid-sized plates and silverware; one dish towel for 2 weeks is not enough; the mattress on the king bed in the master should be replaced as you roll to the center when you lie down. We all enjoyed the deck and patio areas. We would stay there again and recommend it.

Our house was outstanding. Modern, open plan, nice furniture, great location and a fully supplied kitchen. Thoughtfully supplied with beach equipment and great snorkel gear. Access to the private beach was the most beautiful beach experience that we have ever had. We had our whole family which consists of 6 adults and 4 children and we had ample beds and space for us to be comfortable. It was a perfect week and will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality.

The reservation and check in process was very easy. We received all of our code (gate and door) well ahead of time. When we arrived, a box of cookie greeted us on the counter, what a nice surprise! The home is open, well-equipped, and easy to access. The gated neighborhood offers easy walking, and the community pool was nice. The house is about 1/2 mile from the petroglyph park (definitely recommend), 1/2 mile from shopping, and everything else you need is near-by. We used the free access to a private beach, twice, and it was fantastic! If we ever return to the big island, we'll definitely stay at this property again!

This was a great contemporary resort home and development to bring our family together. The management was professional and responsive when we encountered a few minor glitches. The access and proximity to the beach club, and the pools made this an unbeatable choice in Kona!

The property was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and had a great layout. We were 2 families of 4, with teens. Enjoyed the pool and easy walk to the store. Beach is farther than we thought, but not crowded and decent snorkeling. Property manager was quick to respond to questions. Appreciated all the beach towels, chairs, and snorkeling equipment.

We just stayed here with our family of 10. My mom, sister and her husband, myself and my husband and our 5 young adult children. We had a heck of a time figuring out where people would sleep but were pleasantly surprised that there was an extra bed in one of the rooms that we didn’t know about so it worked out just fine. The kitchen was well stocked and when we found the blender was broken management brought a new one the same day. The location is great and there are many beaches close by. We went to a different beach every day. For those of us that prefer the pool, that is nice as well. The pool could use a little better cleaning. The kids liked the gym and I enjoyed walking to the Fairmont beach. The access to the private beach served up a spectacular sunset on our last night. I probably would have spent more time there but the kids weren’t into it. Not much to complain about. We kind of wished the lanai had more comfortable furniture, like a sofa and chairs but I suppose that is our personal preference. We’re not big on eating outdoors, we’re more of loungers. Loved the bbq and the store was close by and we spent our fair share on groceries and were able to cook many meals there with comfort. We had a hard time figuring out how to use the cooktop but it became a challenge and the least likely person figured it out which caused the cooks in the group some pain, lol. All the glass tables were difficult to keep clean and we would have loved some glass cleaner. There were plenty of towels and beach towels and chairs and stuff in the garage. We were all happy and had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to go back! In fact I want to go back right now! Thanks for a wonderful place to celebrate with family! Mahalo!
