The villa was wonderful and perfect for the three of us! The location is ideal. It is an end unit so lots of privacy with fantastic views of the golf course and mountains. Very spacious bedrooms and baths. Big kitchen amply stocked. Living room and dining areas are large to allow everyone to spread out comfortably. The outdoor lanai is huge with dining and lounging area. Beds were super comfortable and lots of extra linens and pillows.. Big supply of bath and beach towels. Two bicycles, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment available for use. Accessed the private beach and pool which was very convenient.
Amy was responsive to questions and made check in very easy.
Overall, the villa exceeded our expectations!

The property is a very nice property with an excellent location. But there are problems. First, the quality of the beds is below average. They all have the slump in the middle so when you lie in the bed, your head and feet are above your behind. The master suite bed, in particular, is uncomfortable due to this "taco" effect. Second, there are six beach chairs, as advertised, in the garage. One of the chairs is broken. Two of the others are the base model with no cup holders and no ability to recline. We wound up renting beach chairs for our week, as the beach chairs in the condo were not usable. Third, the check out procedure will take up more time than you are probably expecting. The property rules require all dishes to be washed and not left in the dishwasher. This rule means you need to start washing all of the dishes early to make the required checkout time. Similarly, all beds must be stripped, but only two loads of wash can be left undone. Thus, you have to start washing bed linen and towels early, again to make the checkout time of 10:30. So plan on getting up early on check out day to meet the house rules. The property is an excellent one, and with a bit of minor upgrades and revisions, it would have been five stars in our rating.

Our family of four could not have asked for a more perfect accommodation. The condo was just lovely - clean, spacious, beautifully appointed with everything we needed. The grounds were equally as stunning and we were fascinated by the old lava flow areas interspersed with brightly colored hibiscus flowers. The three bedrooms with separate baths were a plus as we were traveling with adult children. Having said that, we certainly could have fit more people and would not have been overcrowded. Everything was close by, from grocery stores to the beaches. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful stay. We would love to return some day!

Great location. Good beach toys for adults and children.
Property is worn. Anything above 5 feet is a dusty mess. Furniture is stained. Towels are old and stained. Linens are old and worn. Poorly outfitted for cooking. Two worn out grocery store nonstick fry pans. One with a dangerously loose handle. Dull knives. No spatulas. No pot holders.
Property manager arranged window tinting while we were there. I'm on vacation so rarely check email. As a result I did not know they were coming. I sent company away. I'm paying for the property so unless I request, repairs can be done on somebody else's dime and time.
Had a great time but would look elsewhere and not rent this unit again.

We stayed in Mauna Lani three times, once in the same complex. Ideal location and our experience with the prior rental was great.
This rental has exact same layout and seemed nice.. However, upon arrival we found that mattresses, all of them, were extremely uncomfortable - not just too soft or too hard - we were falling in in the middle and rolling down at the edges...,the pillows are impossible to sleep on and linens are substandard. One bed was missing a headboard. Half of bedroom lights didn't work. When we moved in, two bedrooms had old fashioned plastic blinds and no curtains at all. One set of blinds was totally visibly broken and my mother couldn't sleep first night. I asked Amy to address and she did promptly and per my request she also installed curtains in one bedroom. However, my daughter was sleeping in the bedroom with plastic blinds and no blackout curtains, extremely unusual in a vacation rental of this caliber. Additionally, all of the plumbing fixtures are old and tired and feel dingy, its time to replace shower heads and valve trims and handles.
Amy was interesting to communicate with - some messages were ignored for days before our arrival, some were answered. It is not often when the owner has ZERO flexibility on the move in and move out time in Hawaii but she had zero flexibility on both ends. She claimed maintenance and cleaning time was needed but the maintenance didn't address broken blinds or non working lights and the cleaning crew didn't clean microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, counters or patio flooring. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay - its just a shame that it didn't even attempt to live up to our simple and not unrealistic expectations.

We have stayed at several condos in the Mauna, Lani, Golf villas and this is our favorite. It is a corner unit at the end of the entire complex so it is very private and looks right out on the third green of the golf course. The condo is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and there were plenty of beach toys, snorkel gear and bicycles in the garage. We had a few minor problems but the resident manager took care of them very efficiently. Overall it was a great experience and we would rent this unit again

The location and grounds beautiful and well kept up.
Inside was worn and needs work done. Stains on carpet and furniture. Cleanliness was poor. For example thick dust on hanging lights in kitchen. Refrigerator front needed a good stainless steel scrubbing . Dishwasher, if used, can’t open needs to be pulled out and leveled properly. Mattresses need to be replaced along with pillows. The vacuum needs to be thrown out and replaced. No head board on bed in upstairs bedroom. Sink in upstairs bathroom no stopper. The utensils were sub par, the pits and pans need to be replaced, and glassware hodgepodge. The outside furniture cushions need to be replaced very uncomfortable. Outside by the grill lower left cabinet door hinge broken. This was not what I expected for the area and cost.
The place gets a C minus. Definitely the place needs some serious work done.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this property. The location and quality of the condominium was outstanding. Everything from check-in to check out was smooth and easy. Condo was spacious and well appointed, there was literally nothing that we didn't have available or access to for daily living. Truly felt as if we were in own home. Highly recommended.

Came here with a family of 6--4 adults and 2 teenagers. Size of condo was perfect--3 BR and 3 bath was very nice. Location was excellent for activities (beaches, golf, etc) but a little inconvenient for other things--grocery shopping. Only grocery store close by was in the resort and very expensive. Kona was a 40 minute drive. Check out process was too extensive. Why should we be responsible for doing all the laundry, washing all the dishes and making sure the dishwasher is empty, etc if we are paying a cleaning fee? We might as well have just paid ourselves. Overall a very good (just not great) place to stay. Would definitely consider it again.

We were two adults and 4 kids in their mid-20's. Everyone loved the condo. The corner location makes for great views and more privacy. Each part of our group had their own bedroom and bathroom, which made it super comfortable and convenient. The outdoor setting was great for work, which the kids still did, and outdoor dining or afternoon cocktails. The kitchen was great for big meals. The overall location is good, with reasonable driving access to beaches north and south. The pool, workout club and local beach are all walkable. The condo was well-supplied with towels and toys for all ages. We would definitely return to this particular condo.

Great villa on a great property! Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 teenagers to spread out. Loved the giant kitchen (although some additional kitchen utensils would be nice-spatulas, etc) The outdoor space was fabulous. Plenty of seating & an amazing outdoor cooking/dining space. We had our morning coffee and evening cocktails outside every day. Loved that we could enjoy the birds, sunshine, breezes & golfers from the back yard of the property. We greatly appreciated all of the amenities & close proximity to the grocery store & several lovely beaches. We would recommend this property to anyone. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We hope to come back for a visit soon!

Being a corner unit it was private & great view of sunrise over Mauna Kea from lanai. Had to call property manager for kleenex & cleaning supplies. For the price it should also have 2 ply TP, night lights in bthrms, pot holders in kitchen, & a vacuum cleaner that works. All that said I did enjoy my stay & manager was responsive to needs.

Wow! The location and views are the best in the Golf Villas. The condo is close to everything in Mauna Lani: the Black Sand Beach, the Beach Club, resort restaurants and a grocery store. Snorkeling gear, bikes and a quality foosball table are nice bonus features.

This was only my 2nd time on the big island and my first was many years ago, so I didn't quite know what to expect. The BnB was a little further out from Kona than we expected (just me being naive and not knowing). I wouldn't say the BnB was walkable to the beach (about a 20 minute walk) but the BnB had cruiser bikes so it was easier to get to. I would say the BeachClub beach close to the BnB was BEAUTIFUL!! It was one of the prettiest spots I went to. The BeachClub was great for snorkeling and they have a scenic walk to take to look at all the fish. Plus, this BnB was about 10 minutes drive from Hapuna beach and about 10 minutes from Waikaloa. During our stay, there was high winds which caused many problems with air pressure within the house, specifically in the upper bedroom so we had to make sure to keep all the doors closed inside the house. The front door alarm also went off frequently due to the high winds. Otherwise, this BnB was worth it just for the BeachClub alone! There is a nice quiet pool in the BnB neighborhood that has an attached hot tub, and it is HOT!

Great property on a quiet end unit. Well stocked garage with plenty pf equipment, chairs, and floaties to use. Kitchen has plenty of stuff to cook meals with and enough utensils and such for the amount of people staying there. The only complaint we had is the toilet paper, only 2 rolls for each bathroom and scratchy, single ply. Had a wonderful stay.

My family had a wonderful time on the big Island. We had a little snafu with finding the code for the gate to the property, but finally figured it out. The place could have been cleaned better, and I think the dishwasher could use a tune up. It would have been nice to have soap and tissues and a bath mat in all the bathrooms. We absolutely loved the bbq and the outdoor living space. All in all we enjoyed the property and would return!

The property was in a great location. It was quiet and it was nice having three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The only slight issue was getting the TV to work in the family room. We would recommend more detailed instructions on working the TV and DVD player but otherwise we would be happy to visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Golf Villas. The door was a bit hard to lock and unlock (alarm kept going off when we removed the dead bolt in the morning), and the manager seemed miffed to answer questions. But the home was lovely and well stocked.

Loved our stay. If you're considering staying here look no further. The pool is close by (within walking distance) and two beaches (within bike ride or quick car ride). The location was very quiet and we loved being in the end unit.

We enjoyed this villa very much. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable and we enjoyed the BBQ. It was very clean and well stocked and exactly what we expected. It's close to the beach club and a few restaurants. We have stayed at a few of the Golf Villas and this was one of our favorites. We recommend it and can't wait to go back.
