Loved the condo and the location!! Beautiful view of the bay and just a short walk to downtown Kona's many shops, restaurants and activities. The condo itself was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The managers were very helpful and welcoming. The only negative about the unit itself was that the cleaning crew must not have mopped the floors before we got there because our feet turned black after walking on it. The only negative about the property was that it was noisy due to the lack of insulation. Overall, we loved staying here and wouldn't hesitate to return!

Perfect location in Kona. We arrived the day of the Kilauea eruption and were on the edge of the crater watching a major eruption at dawn the next morning. Quiet, easy walk to restaurants, shops, activities. Tastefully decorated. Great kitchen with everything you could want …if your into cooking. Lanai has an unrestricted fantastic view of the surf line, harbor, lots of boating activity, if you’re a surfer, the break is superb at 4-6 feet, great shape both morning and afternoon/evening. Very little wind in Kona so it doesn’t get blown out. At low tide there are tons of tide pools for exploration. The kids would love it. Swimming pool is very nice, quiet, clean…and the propane fired barbecues work great. No kiddie pool, but main pool shallow end is only 2 feet deep. Only cons would be: all tile floors a little hard on the feet. A couple of throw rugs would be nice. And the kitchen floor was quite dirty on arrival. Window air conditioner cools the main room, but does little to help the bedroom. Fans do the rest. Hosts are easy to contact. Would we stay there again? Yes.

Very clean. Pictures are exactly like what it looks like. She truly has everything there for you except pizza cutter. This includes spf and bug spray! Would definitely stay and will definitely be recommending them.

Property location is very convenient for touring the island. Although it is close to the airport and Kona town, it is out of the hustle and bustle. Unit appears recently remodeled and extremely clean. As photos show it is indeed right on the water. Hosts communicate well and proactively. Mahalo!

Excellent property with a fantastic view and location. Interior very well decorated, lots of themed decorations. Stocked well with plates, glasses, cookware etc. Little trouble with TV but was only watching at times for March madness, they were having some spectrum issues. This is a great place to stay. The view from the lanai is fantastic. We cooked relatively simple dinners all 10 nights that we stayed and the kitchen had all of the plates, pans and other gadgets that we needed. We used the common BBQ grill several nights and even though the grills don’t get has hot as we like, they were usable. The pool, hot tub and grilling area is very nice. We used this area a lot but in the evening only. It was never too crowded at this time. The location is very convenient. Within easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping but not right in the heart of the busy traffic so easy to get on the roads out of town. The condo is described accurately in the listing. No unwanted surprises. We would definitely stay here again.

The condo we stared in was so beautifully decorated and filled with all the little things you might need. The owners though of everything from the fluffiest towels and softest bed linens, to every kitchen tool you might ever want. The pool area was lovely and clean, and everyone was so welcoming. Truly wish we had booked much more time here. Thank you so much and I hope we will be back soon!!

The ocean is at your feet. The condo has one of the best outfitted kitchens. Very comfortable. Good communication with the owners. Cons - During the day there were occasional renovations being done on other condos and the noise travels well in such structures; the pool’s water was a bit cloudy and the floor of the condo could have been a bit cleaner, but all in all it was a great stay.

The location was walking distance from everything we needed. We opted not to rent a car. Condo clean, view absolutely perfect. All the amenities we needed. We watched the unobstructed sunset every night on the lanai, ate there and enjoyed the sounds and view of the ocean. If you want to enjoy Kona this is where to stay. Plenty of parking if you need it. We tide pooled and walked 5 minutes to a nearby beach.

My husband and I were finally able to take a vacation to Hawaii. The whole trip was amazing and an once in a lifetime experience. The condo was perfect for us. The view was even better than the pictures. We watched the sunset every day. You can leave the doors open (there is a locked screen front door) and you get a great breeze. Plus, the sound of the ocean was perfect. The place was clean, had many extras, and was located in a great area. It wasn’t annoyingly busy by us, but just a quick walk to the shops and restaurants.
The community pool area was nice. Always enough chairs, propane grills, and a hot tub. The owners were very easy to talk to. They communicated ahead of time and checked in mid trip. If you are heading to Kona, stay in this place.

We loved being able to walk to various restaurants/shops in Kona and spent many morning and evening hours gazing at the beautiful view from the lanai, which has comfortable furniture and is quite spacious. We found the king bed comfortable as well and slept great. We would definitely stay again!

Location, location, location. Loved being so close to the surf, a mere 25 feet to the waters edge. Started each day sitting on the lani and ended each day watching the spectacular sunsets from the lani. From the lani enjoyed seeing spinner dolphins, breaching whales, tropical fish, an occasional turtle and rays. Easy walk to many restaurants. This condo is decorated like a cozy home. Lots of storage space, kitchen well stocked, and plenty of towels. Owners are good to work with.

We had such a wonderful stay at Kona Reef. It is central to Kīlauea and an easy walk to restaurants and shops. It was also a great hub to access most of Kona and exploring.
The balcony is the best part and you get some fantastic sunsets. Grab a drink and sit outside and enjoy!
KaCee and Kurt were very responsive our whole trip and it made our stay so welcoming.
Stay here and you won’t be disappointed!

The condo was clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable (king-size Casper mattress). The furnishings were nice although not too terribly comfortable if you wanted to hang out for the day reading and listening to the ocean. The only major downside was wifi was not reliable at all. A suggestion would be for a shade on the lanai in order to enjoy being out there in the afternoon without frying. It’s a lovely unit and has a fabulous view of the sunsets.

This place has it all, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, a kitchen with all the necessities, and access to a pool and grill. If you want to head to the beach, chairs and beach towels are available in the condo. The newly remodeled bathroom has big, soft, fluffy towels. The location of the condo is within walking distance of downtown Kona, restaurants, bars, etc. There is a covered parking garage with adequate space and a few charging ports for electric vehicles.

This is a beautiful condo that has been recently updated. The view was spectacular. It is very close to town….and convenient to Ali’s Drive restaurants and shops. The bed was comfortable and clean. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Check in was a breeze. We loved it.

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo at Kona Reef. Perfect location for shopping, restaurants, and easily accessible to all site seeing adventures. Our main reason for staying on Kona was to attend our niece’s wedding and celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our niece did an awesome job picking out this condo complex for all of us to stay. Sitting out on the balcony every morning and most evenings, watching the surfers was very enjoyable. We even saw some beautiful rainbows. Too relaxed when we left, but it was back to reality before we knew it. Fantastic find!!!

Absolutely loved loved this place . Beautiful view! We spent most of our time on the deck, listening to the ocean watching the ocean. Drinking coffee in the am and wine in the evening with those beautiful sunsets . Hard to go anywhere else. Kaycee and Kurt were fabulous to work with even with cancellation during the pandemic. Great communication. The house was clean and had everything we needed to use including small cooler and beach chairs to take to the beach . I want to go back!

Everything about this place is just right. The distance to town: just far enough not to be rowdy and noisy, never too far for a walk. The oceanfront location: spectacular. This was our 5th trip to Kona and Kona Reef, and this was the best unit we've stayed in. It was clean, well furnished, the bed very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The best part of all is the oceanfront view, which is amazing! The owners were easy to work with. We will be back!

Everything was prefect from start to finish. If we travel to Kona again this will be the first place we look to rent. Wish we would’ve stayed here longer!!!

The property had a billion-dollar location fronted by crashing waves and lovely tide pools. The home was equipped with anything you might need, including binoculars, great beach towels, and even sand mats. And the proximity to town (about 1/4 mile) was perfect - easy walk, away from any restaurant noise. There was no restaurant on site, but we walked over to Royal Kona Resort to have meals & cocktails. Can't wait to come back. Owners very communicative regarding instructions, and checking to make sure everything was going well.
