We stayed for a week, and were impressed by the accuracy of the listing (it is literally moments away from the beach). And the tidyness of the space. It was well appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outside is not much to look at, and the building definitely shows its age, but thats in no way affected our stay. The location was perfect, within 15m from a grocery store, gas station, local stores, restaurants and the Polynesian Culture Center.
We stayed during construction which we were warned about prior, and the construction did not affect our stay
The host was great, easy to contact and quick to respond to issues.
We had multiple minor issues pop up during the stay - ants, the washer didnt work, and the dryer smelled. And they were handled promptly - within 3 hours.
I loved the use of a website anf links for important information - as it was easy to refer back no matter where we were.
If we come back to oahu we will definitely attempt to stay here again.
P.s. a bonus was that we saw multiple turtles on the beach and there were some small coral patches that made for kid friendly snorkeling.

The location was great. The condo it’s self needs updating of its air conditioning. The two room air conditioners were not able to keep the condo at a reasonable temperature. Also the was dryer was not usable because the vent went into the condo and added to the heat issue.

We had a great week with our family of 6. We arrived at the complex late evening so it was a nice surprise when we looked outside upon waking up the first morning.
The beach was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our lanai each morning and hearing the roosters. We really appreciated the beach gear supplies for us to use during our stay. The air conditioner in the living room and kids bedroom was an added bonus. The kids loved the bunk beds in their room.
The washing machine was a bit of an issue during our stay as it was not working. They did their best to get someone in to fix it but unfortunately it still did not work. 2 days prior to check out a very friendly repair man came to fix it and was successful. We were thankful for our time in our condo. Thank you

Cute location and decor with a well-supplied kitchen. However, if anyone uses the murphy bed or pullout couch to sleep, they will be awake before 6am from the sun. The curtains are difficult to close and don't block out any light.
The bathroom door also does not close or lock properly.
Communication was plentiful but did not contain the information I was looking for (like parking) until I asked.
Still a cute location right on the beach and great for a staycation or family get away.

I cannot say enough about this property. The view is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning. It was like having your own beach, very few people, and quiet with plenty of places to lounge. We were delighted to see turtles swimming in the area and on the beach at night. Perfect place for snorkeling. Loved driving to the north shore and being close to local shops and eateries. Construction was ongoing, but never interrupted our comings and going’s. The unit itself was clean and can sleep up to eight people comfortably. The AC was a nice addition, but not needed if all doors and windows are open. Overall a wonderful stay, and would absolutely recommend. Awesome place to be away from all the crowds. Mahalo!

We were welcomed by serene music, chocolates and the best smelling condo I’ve ever stayed in - Iykyk - The pictures are just as it appears in real life which if often not the case for VRBO. The construction was never an issue for us but we were out and about most days exploring the North Shore. There were plenty of towels, beach towels, laundry soap, etc. the Murphy bed was the most comfortable VRBO bed I’ve slept in. I had 3 teenage girls that appreciated all of the mirrors and the power strip where they could plug all their electronics in. Bret was very responsive and communication and instructions were top notch. This was the best condo stay I’ve experienced with VRBO and give major kudos to Brett in making sure you are comfortable and not want for anything during your stay. Highly recommend!

The unit was clean and very nicely decorated and up-to-date.
We enjoyed being away from big crowds, very local, great snorkeling and amazing views, sunrises, sunsets. Easy check-in and check-out.
The main detraction for us was the renovation/construction being done during our stay. We would definitely book again in the future despite the minor inconvenience of updating the property.

The place was nice inside and had everything we needed for our short stay on the island including welcoming music, chocolate, and gear to hit the beach. Don’t be deterred by the construction work. It had no real impact at all to our vacation. Place was right peaceful beach :)

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Great safe beach with amazing sunrises. Space for everyone to do their thing which was important to us with teenagers. All facilities are available. Just what was needed to sit back and relax after a busy holiday.

My daughter and I had a nice stay the location was perfect but the property was pretty old and in rough shape they were working on it so hoped there able to make it more presentable in the future the condo it’s self was pretty clean but the shower was in pretty rough shape we did not shower in it bare foot which was a bummer 😬 and the ac was not sufficient it did not keep the condo cool and to be completely honest the bed was excruciating we did not sleep well at all if the bathroom was done over and new and improved beds they stay would have been a much much better experience other than those 2 things mentioned we really did enjoy our stay and are sure others would too

The condo was beautiful. Very spacious and updated. Location was perfect close to food truck, grocery stores, parks and fast food. The kitchen was fully stock and we received a box of chocolate upon arrival. Everything you need for the beach is there. No need to pack anything. I would recommend this condo with families traveling with little ones. Even though there was construction on site. We were never bothered or heard loud noises.

First, the pros - Pat's condos is in a wonderful location that is oceanfront on a beautiful, protected beach. The condo is well decorated with nice appliances, recently remodeled, and excellent views from the lanai. The beds are comfortable enough and they have the basics needed for a family of five. The bathroom was really nice, the laundry was a nice touch, and everything was clean. The area seemed very secure and the tenants and owners we met were extremely friendly. The condo is in a great location that allows to travel within a short distance to most of the north shore beaches, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and all of the famous food trucks.
The cons - There is significant construction going on here for the foreseeable future. While we knew this ahead of time and planned to be gone most of the days to avoid the noise and disruption, we also selected Pat's over several other north shore rentals because it has a pool. We found out two months before we arrived, not from the owner, but from reading previous VRBO reviews, that the pool was now closed all day except between 5pm-8pm. When we contacted the owner about this issue, the owner gave us the option of cancelling our reservation, but we figured that if we were gone during the construction time during the day, then our children could swim in the late afternoon after we returned from our day away once the pool opened. When we arrived, we noticed a large tarp over the pool with a lot of water on top (from all of the rain) and it did not open the first day. We texted the owner and they asked us to call the actual condo manager for why the pool was not open at 5pm. When we called the condo manager, they told us that it has been out of operation for a while and would not open for the foreseeable future. This was confirmed by speaking with the residents who also said the pool has been closed indefinitely until it could be fixed and it had been that way for several weeks. While the owner seems to take no responsibility for notifying renters of the pool closure and even stating they didn't know it was closed (even though other owners confirmed it had been closed for several weeks), we feel that future renters should understand that if having a pool is part of your consideration for this rental, you may want to look elsewhere or confirm that the pool has re-opened. We also feel the owner should have notified renters of a change in amenties they are advertising.

This was a great spot for our family trip! The condo itself was immaculate. It will just be way more awesome when the construction on the property is done. A little tricky to navigate the parking lot and even to get to the beach some mornings with all that was going on with the remodel. But, once in the condo, it felt like you were in a different world.

Everything was fantastic! If you want a private beach feel with the comfort of being in your own space, this is perfect! The space was wonderful with being able to put our kids in one room that they loved while we got to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The kitchen has everything you need. There are beach toys from snorkeling equipment to kids' sand toys to boogie boards. We had the best time and will definitely rent here again!

SUPER IMPRESSED! Feel free to quote me when I say, 'Pat's at Punalu'u's is the way to go!" Compared to the crazy busy traffic of Honolulu, Pat's is TOTALLY the move if you are wanting a real and authentic hawaiian experience. With it being on the north shore, it is secluded. Totally worth the effort to get there. Gorgeous green, jungle-covered mountains and a beautiful beach make the views from Pat's incredible. We loved the "personal" beach (as only those who stay at Pat's use it), the incredible sunrise views from our balcony, and seeing the sea turtles that beach during the night. Perfect spot to stay as Laie is just up the road 15 minutes at most.

The view of the ocean is great from the deck and the mountains from the front door. Has plenty of bed space and kitchen is average with supplies for cooking. Electrical outlets are few and far between. All in all it's a great place to relax, has the views and access to ocean.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. We spent the mornings enjoying the sunrise and walking on the beach. The beach was not crowded at all which was so nice and it was fun snorkeling and playing in the sand and water. We ate at lots of good restaurants on the North Shore and explored some really fun places. The unit itself was great. The AC units in the bedroom and living room work well and the kitchen was nice. We followed all of the host's suggestions as to taking the garbage out at night and did not have any problems with pests. It has a piano and ukuleles which my kids loved. The only drawback, which we were expecting, was the construction on the unit. The parking lot is kind of a mess and the unit's designated parking stall was blocked by the construction but we worked with the property owner and the security guard to find a place to park and it worked out. Thanks for a great stay!

Everything was wonderful from when we arrived till when we headed back to AZ . Condo was perfect for our group of 9. Plenty of space, very clean and well stocked. Views were great of the ocean from the porch. We ventured out to several other beaches and by far this was our favorite. Condo had plenty of snorkeling gear and other items to make the beach a blast. Even saw turtles on our evening walks. Couldn't ask for a better location for all our excursions. Hands down this was the perfect vacation and thanks to Bret for offering such an amazing condo. He also made everything simple from checking in to a list of great information on local things to do and places to eat. Overall outstanding place and would definitely stay again!!!

We loved this property. We had 8 of us total. It was right on the beach and we could see the beach from our balcony. Sleeping arrangements were great with the bunk room and 2 beds in the front room. Very close to the PCC (7 minutes) on the North Shore. We were a little worried about 1 bathroom, but with all of the mirrors and the sink outside the toilet area - we had no problems at All. We shopped at Foodland down the street and the kitchen was great! There are only 2 Key Fabs you need this to get up the elevator to the Condo - so plan accordingly. The Host was amazing! So helpful. He had great recommendations. We loved it!

My husband, daughters, and I spent three nights at this condo in June 2022. We were celebrating our girls’ high school graduation. This condo couldn’t have been much better. It is not large, but there are plenty of beds. Having two room air conditioners was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked. I was really pleased to see that there were tons of towels, and we couldn’t have asked for much more in terms of the gear that was provided, including lots of snorkels, masks, and boogie boards. The condo is right on the beach, and the beach was quiet and not at all crowded. The snorkeling was wonderful. It is also a short and easy drive from the Polynesian Cultural Center. I highly recommend this place.

We are a very active family and did alot of daily excursions. This location was a nice retreat to have quite evenings. It also allowed us a great location to go to several North Shore sights some days and also to check out Pearl Harbor, Hananuma Bay and Wikiki other days. The view from the unit is beautiful and the unit itself is very nice, clean and set up well to use the space it has very efficiently.

This condo is amazing! Located in a quiet and beautiful area on the north east shore not far from Laie, PCC, Laniakea, Sharks cove, Haleiwa. Also, not far from Kailua down south. The condo very easily accommodated my wife and I and 5 kids (age 5-13) plus grandparents. View out the back lanai is gorgeous! The beach outside this Condo is perfect for snorkeling and swimming with children. This beach is not over crowded, which makes you feel you have it all to yourself. We saw lots of beautiful fish and turtles everyday at that beach. There are some food trucks within walking distance and shave ice. Its location allows for easy access to everything the north shore has to offer. So many great memories were created here. Bret was excellent to work with throughout the whole process. He responded to all of my emails almost within minutes at times and was very accommodating and easy to work with. We will definitely be renting through Bret again when we come back. Thank you for offering your beautiful condo for us to enjoy Bret!

This rental is AMAZING and exactly as described! It’s perfect for a family with young children because accessing the beach is so convenient and easy. We were looking for a relaxing vacation in a non-touristy area with a nice beach with calm waters and that’s exactly what we got. You are literally steps away from a beautiful beach with nice calm waters protected by a large reef. We have a 3 year old and 5 year old and they had a blast playing in the water. We also used the pool quite a bit and were often the only people in there.
The condo is very well appointed with tables and benches you can move around to suit your needs, plenty of comfortable sleeping space, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer. The view out the balcony is absolutely magical. There were also boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, and buckets and shovels for building sand castles that my kids definitely enjoyed.
We loved the area, it’s so convenient to be close to a local store and food trucks, as well as the FoodLand, Longs Drugs, and the Polynesian Cultural Center. We spent pretty much every day at the beach and pool or relaxing in the condo. There was construction going on during our stay but it was not an issue whatsoever, we barely noticed.
Bret is super responsive and his house manual provides all the information you need to make the most of your stay. He checked in with us to make sure we had all our travel details and covid quarantine exemption requirements squared away prior to arriving and also to make sure we were having a good stay. I greatly appreciated his attentiveness, he’s a great host.
We are already looking at dates for a return visit, we can’t wait to go back!

The water and palm trees are pretty. No sun set. And sunrise is not right there, you gotta find it. Very loud construction. Poor mattresses, no skillets, can't even drink water near the pool. And owner says no alcohol once it's too late to cancel

Our group of seven family members fit comfortably with the double bunk beds. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Renovation construction occurring but did not hear any noise. The property has a semi private beach that is perfect for snorkeling. Snorkel gear is provided with your stay. Bret was easily available to answer any questions. The house manual explains all the how to’s. We all loved the condo. Mahalo and Aloha.

This condo was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). The bedroom was big enough for all of us and it had all the supplies needed, including a plethora of snorkeling gear. The washer and dryer was a life saver! The beach is steps away and was never crowded, we saw sea turtles and had fun snorkeling. The building was quiet; even though there is a semi-busy road out front we never noticed the noise while on the lanai or beach.
There are grocery stores within 5-10 min and plenty of places to get to-go meals (food truck and counter service). Coconut Joes is a few minutes walk and had the best shaved ice we had on on our trip! The building is conveniently close to so many destinations like the PCC, Kualoa Ranch, Waimea Falls and what seemed like endless options for parks and beaches.

We enjoyed staying here. The location was great. Very central to everything. We saw turtles everyday on the beach and swimming in the water. Crab hunting at night was fun too. They had everything we needed like beach towels, beach toys, snorkel gear, and boogie boards. We would stay there again.

Staying here is a rare opportunity to stay right by the beach in the north shore. I loved the snorkel equipment and boogie boards. The building is a little dated, but the unit itself is nicely renovated and gets ocean sounds and breezes.

Perfect location if you are trying to get away from the hustle and bustle from the City. You definitely want to rent a car. Polynesian Center was a blast. Space was as described in listing. Condo was well stocked with supplies. Bring washcloths and bar soap if you need it. It can get a little stuffy so be proactive with the little AC and definitely dump your garbage every day/night due to cockroaches. Overall, our family had a wonderful time. Gorgeous beaches and kind people were every where!

We spent the first part of vacation in Waikiki beach, beautiful place but incredibly crowded. The last 5 days we found this cute little place and decided to mix it up a bit and see the other side of the island. Upon entry we were relieved to see it was just as the VRBO post made it seem. It was clean and great for our family! The beach is just a few steps away and we snorkeled with the provided snorkeling gear every day. Saw a couple of sea turtles even! During the day we used the AC unit to keep the temp down, but at night we open all the doors and let the cross breeze from the ocean cool us down. The house was well supplied, although we would of appreciated a few washcloths. There is shampoo, conditioner, sunblock, and laundry detergent, which was nice considering how much everything costs in the island. For groceries go the extra few miles to food land. Do not stop at Tamara’s. It is gross. Foodland will remind you of the states and you will be relieved! We ate at Pounders at the Polynesian center, 7 brothers which is located near 6 or 7 other food trucks, all very delicious! Overall a really terrific rental that you will have no regrets renting!

Overall a great place and a great stay! The in-unit washer and dryer was so great to have as well as all of the snorkel gear. The one thing is that towards the end of the trip the unit got a little smelly from the humidity. Aside from that it was a 10/10 stay, I highly recommend!
