We were in Maui to do a celebration of life. This was the perfect home for our family of 14 with a wide age range. The host answered all our questions quickly. Everyone loved waking up and having coffee overlooking the ocean and falling asleep to the waves crashing. We used the pool and spa every day and it was fun to play ping pong too. It was a very memorable trip and we created lots of wonderful memories.

The house was great, however the beach in front is not swimmable. We were disappointed because we were told it was, you have to walk around the other side to a community in order to swim in the ocean. Otherwise, the house itself and communication/booking experience was great.

This house is truly unique and the views incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our family of 11 had plenty of space. We did have two sets of elderly parents that had a bit of a hard time with the stairs. Just getting into the house requires a climb up a flight of stairs.
The lower level outside was equipped with a nice big covered patio with plenty of seating, ping pong, and beach equipment. The beach situation was not ideal- you have to climb down some boulders to get to the sand. We never did spend time on the beach other than walking it early in the morning. The yard is so nice though, you can just hang out there all day. Lots of beach equipment is provided if you want to use it.
The house itself is very spacious and comfortable, with the exception of the furniture in the living room. But we spent all of our time on the deck anyway. It does get pretty warm in the afternoon, but there are shades on the deck. There is also more comfortable living room furniture on the upper level.
Our only negatives: the day we arrived there were some kind of droppings on one of the beds. I called the owner and left a voicemail and never got a call back. Twice I heard a screaching animal noise in the walls (I think) which I'm assuming was the culprit. We also spotted 2 roaches that I know of during our stay. Water pressure was another issue- extreme in the kitchen and trickling in the bathrooms.

This property is terrific. We were amazed by the views and how well equipped it was. The location is great for almost any activity, but truthfully, we spent most of our time enjoying the house and grounds. All meals were eaten on the massive lanai, surrounded by an ever-changing seascape. We especially appreciated the vast library of books and puzzles. The wide variety of beach and water equipment was also a hit with everyone.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in returning to kahana Nui Villa.

My family of 10 had an amazing experience, with developing many wonderful memories!
The home had exceeded our expectations and the location must be one of best on Maui.
Between the home, pool, beach and provided paddle board, among many other beach & pool toys. Everyone had a great time, enjoying many engaging fun filled experiences individually and all together. We also had 3 sea turtles come up on the beach to rest and saw whales from the house from dusk to dawn. The indoor/outdoor seating enabled our entire family to sit together for meals, refreshments and for some time to jointly recant our experiences from the day.
The oceanfront deck is also a perfect place to gather to jointly observe the sunset over the water. My family and I have rented many different properties across the country, this one has been the Best!!! Mahalo!

Our extended family of nine people loved this beautiful house, directly on the edge of the water. We spent countless hours on the large deck, whale watching and spotting occasional sea turtles. February is perfect for whale sightings. The four master bedrooms are large and very comfortable. We kept the sliding glass doors pulled back so the great room extended directly onto the wonderful deck. We spent time in the heated hot tub, and the kids dipped in the lovely pool, which is not heated. We loved this well appointed house and highly recommend it. The check in and check out is a breeze with Suzy.

I came with a group of 11 graduate school friends now in their 60’s and this very special house and place was almost perfect! The home is gorgeous, having a pool and access to the beach was wonderful!
I said almost because one of the king rooms was not accessible except by walking through another bedroom. This did not work well for the couples in those two rooms. It would work fine for a family.
However, this small detail would not prevent us from returning!

I cannot thank Suzy enough for such an amazing place! We had a blast all things considered with the fires in Maui in early August 2023. Even without internet, power and cell phone service, we had a great time enjoying the pool, beach access and seeing turtles from the lanai. Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Kahana Nui Villa with our sons, their spouses and our grandchildren. With over a year worth of trip planning, everyone was wowed with this extraordinary South Pacific oceanfront home that has spectacular views of the ocean and Molokai and served as our base to explore and enjoy the Island of Maui. We could not be more pleased with our stay, as we had everything we needed to prepare meals, enjoy the great pool and use of its other facilities that helped keep the grandchildren engaged. If you have a large group, this is a place we would highly recommend.

Can’t imagine a better place to stay! We had 14 family members with ages ranging from grandparents to 7 months old. Everyone enjoyed their own rooms/suites and also loved the common areas to spend time together, both inside and outside the house. The pool was a blast and the beach access was great! Over all the house and location was amazing. Everything you needed grill, hot tub, pool, beach the views are amazing. Of course the one down fall is the bridge construction, I know owner has no control but it was the only thing that was inconvenient on the trip. Spectacular! A true paradise. Older property with Polynesian character. Wonderful whale watching from the large deck. Some maintenance needed but didn’t impact our enjoyment. Biggest issue is major road construction by the county at front of property. Quite ugly and cumbersome but not the owner’s fault.

The house was great. The Kahana Stream and bridge became a big issue. They are replacing the bridge. They opened the stream to the ocean and the crystal clear ocean turned brown for three days. We went away for a whole day tour to Hana and returned to our vehicles barricaded in the driveway. Thank God we’re gone next week they are removing the bridge. The bridge work was annoying to say the least.

We gathered our family here in Maui at Suzy’s house for a reunion. The home was amazing in every way! Upon the recommendation by Suzy, we had chefs Val and John prepare our dinner each evening as we watched the sunset each evening after enjoying all that Maui has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kahana Nui Villa. This property was a dream come true! The whole house opens up to the ocean & beautiful views, and the house gave us that island vibe we were looking for. We had a group of 10 adults and a baby and the house provided more than enough room for all of us to have privacy, but then gather for meals & spend time together. We needed help with a few small things when we arrived (seems someone unplugged the wifi, whoops! ) and Suzi was very responsive and took care of everything right away. The house was well stocked & we cooked meals & bbq'd, made use of the beach chairs & umbrellas often. The location just 5 minutes from some prime snorkeling beaches was also ideal. Unfortunately the button for the jacuzzi bubbles was on back order, so it wasn’t working during our stay, but the pool was refreshing and we enjoyed it everyday!
The views were amazing, and some turtles even came so close to shore that we could watch them from the balcony. We rented a kayak & a paddle board to use at the house, but the amount of rocks and shallow water kept us from using the paddle board since we were all beginners and didn’t want to get too far from shore.
We had a mixed age group on our trip 14 months to 88 years old, but all were fine navigating the multiple stair cases in the house. The access down to the beach was a little more difficult than we anticipated, which kept some of our older relatives from being able to get down to the beach, so that was a little disappointing. From reading reviews we had expected it to be an easier transition from the lawn of the house. It also might be a nice idea to have step stools near the beds that are higher off the ground than we are used to, but the beds were comfy and we slept well! There was construction going on across the street which was a little noisy at times, but for the most part didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of the property.
We made wonderful family memories, and we will be dreaming of our beautiful stay here for years to come.

Jaw dropping property! We were overwhelmed with this vacation destination; from the amazing property location to the gorgeous Tahitian style house., to the unsurpassed views. What an experience! Everyday we could whale watch from the Lanai, and what a treat! Watching the humpbacks breach was unforgettable. There were binoculars in the house which we put to good use. We also saw sea turtles in what seemed like our own little private beach area.
Everyone in our group of 7 were wowed by this place and would love to come back. I was hoping this place wouldn’t disappoint and we were not let down.. Having 4 master suites was great. Kitchen was well stocked and very functional. Pool and spa were very nice. Bocci ball and ping pong we put to good use. We found ourselves orchestrating most of our meals on the lanai. A few times we went out for a meal, but wished we were back at the Bali house. Our host (Suzie) was very responsive and accommodating. Thank Suzie.

Overall, the property is large, spacious & set up well for families. We used the pool/spa often and had our morning coffee on the terrace every morning watching the whales! The property manager was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. A couple of items to note: the indoor furniture from Bali was extremely heavy and not particularly comfortable, and there is no step or handrail to get in and out of the spa. Might be a concern for some renters. But.....our stay in Maui finally happened after this challenging pandemic and it was simply, a wonderful week!!

Our Family stayed the first week in January 2022 as part of celebrating my wife’s 50th. Our party of 10 was very well accommodated in the house. The pool, beach access, sunsets and proximity to Nearby towns was perfect. We went to Maui specifically to see the whale activity and the property’s claim of seeing whales from the lanai overdelivered!! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The property is beautiful. The views from the deck are spectacular. Plenty of room for people to be together, yet places to escape for quiet time when needed. The positioning and view from the property out over the water is breath taking.. The home is expansive and had almost all amenities we could think of available to us. The beach being right there was amazing. We were lucky enough to even see a few sea turtles come ashore for a while during our stay. The pool and hot water tub and ping pong tables were very popular amoungst the group. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others as well.

We had a group of 12 (11 adults and a toddler). We found the home spacious for all of us to enjoy. The pool and large patio in the back was great. So relaxing enjoying the sun and listening to the surf. My only comment is while the main level sitting area furniture is beautiful - it is not very comfortable. Suzy is great and we wiill definitely consider this property again.

This beautiful home was perfect for our family vacation with our 3 adult sons and their spouses. Stunning views from 4 of the bedrooms (the other 2 rooms each had 2 twins, and one of those rooms you have to walk thru to get to one of the master bedrooms upstairs, so not great if you have all adults). 3 of the 4 view rooms have en-suite bathrooms, plus there is a nice family room upstairs which opens to the living room below. So many places to hang out, all with beautiful views across the channel to Molokai. Rainbows every day, sea turtles right off the beach. We rented electric bikes through RideSmart Maui, and kayaks that one of my sons arranged. Everything was delivered to the house. Suzy arranged for a beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers which were waiting for us upon arrival. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there are beach towels, detergent, etc. We purchased some floating noodles for the pool, and there were some boogie boards previous guests had left. Lots of room on the pool deck/lawn level to play bocce ball and corn hole. It's time to replace the corn hole boxes, they are pretty tattered, but the bean bags worked great, and we didn't play ping pong because we couldn't get the net to stay upright. We used the tiki bar to have happy hours down by the pool, The beach right in front of the house is a bit rocky, but just stroll around the point and there is a large beach right in front of the complex to the south, and it's not so rocky in front of the house that you can't wade, swim, snorkel or launch the kayaks.
We ate every meal on the lanai, used the gas grill several times, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The pool is the perfect temperature and the water fall is lovely. Unfortunately the jacuzzi heater was malfunctioning and was not adjusting correctly while we were there, but was getting fixed the day we had to leave. Suzy was super quick to send a plumber when we had an issue with a running toilet which needed service. Also, I had read a previous review which complained that there were no sharp carving knives, but that had been rectified and there were 2 knife blocks now, and the Hinkle one is self sharpening - so no knife problems at all! We've stayed in a lot of short term rentals with our family, and this was definately a winner. If you have trouble climbing stairs be aware that the main living space is 1 flight up form the driveway in the front, and the pool/patio area in the back.

My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that there is not a sharp carving knife in the house and no means to sharpen.

Great time with family of 6 kids and grandkids from 4 different states, plenty of room for the 14 of us and with the beach just steps from the pool and backyard why go anywhere.During my week their I went downtown Lahaina one time to eat, the rest of the time I stayed at the Villa and enjoyed the amenities provided. Suzy was one of the best host I've encountered in 4 years of me using VRBO, the only thing missing in the backyard were a couple of hammocks.

Amazing home with outstanding views. We could have whale watched from the lanai all day. We are 4 couples celebrating various occasions: 20th anniversary, 25th anniversary, 22nd anniversary/overdue honeymoon, and 5yr cancer free. We all agreed this was our best vacation. The two level wrap around lanai is amazing, and we loved the beautiful view. Sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, and whales! The pool, hot tub, and waterfall were fabulous, and we used the hot tub daily. The kitchen is very well equipped and it was very handy having laundry right there. The A/C in the bedrooms worked well and the breeze kept the main areas cool. Suzanne was a fabulous hostess and very responsive to question before and during our trip! We had an amazing vacation and didn’t want to leave!

This property is stunning! The views from all sides are amazing, and sitting on the wraparound porch each day listening to the waves was the perfect way to start each day. What a picture-perfect place to vacation! Our family group of 10 adults and 2 small children spent a wonderful 8 days at this beautiful home. The home is so well-stocked..... from spices to beach towels to pool toys, a pack n play and a high chair, ping pong table, cornhole, games, cards, puzzles. Certainly a home-away-from-home for our first family trip to Hawaii. The sunsets from this home are truly amazing!! Suzy quickly responded to the few problems we experienced, even on weekends. We would book this home again with no reservations. Our only misgiving - a fair number of ants throughout the kitchen and in a couple upstairs bathrooms - our suggestion would be to ask that the property be sprayed before your arrival. (Suzy offered to have it done while we were there, but we passed...... just the old-fashioned little ant traps helped. We didn't want insecticides sprayed with our little grandkids around,) Thank you, Suzy, for all the memories you have given our family. We hope to be back someday!

Our whole family (9 adults and 2 children) enjoyed six days on Maui’s west side. We were together much of the time, but there was enough flexibility in our schedule to accommodate everyone’s needs and wants. The property was a great central spot for coordinating various outings and individual events. Although traffic in general was way worst than expected as we had to compromise with leaving times to avoid waiting in slow-moving traffic, it was definitely worth renting this property. The traffic was very frustrating, but pretty much the only negative. Everything else gets high marks! The owner (Suzy) was very responsive and helpful. We are grateful to her for allowing our family to enjoy quality family time, calm/peaceful setting, the sunsets and the magic of Maui while staying in her beautiful home. We all had a great experience. Mahalo! We hope to return some day.

My husband and I brought our kids and grandkids to Maui to help celebrate our 50th Anniversary. The Bali house was perfect for this special occasion! The kids enjoyed the pool. We had a rousing ping pong tournament with all 14 of our group involved and an amazing dinner party on a deck with space and furniture that easily accommodated all of us. The views from the decks were beautiful. You’ll need a car here as it’s not a very walkable area but everything you need is within a few minutes drive. Loved it and would recommend it!

My family spent 10 days in Maui at this beautiful villa and we want to go back. The house is everything the pictures show and more. We have 10 family members in to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday. There are so many different rooms and areas to this house that it is perfect for big families looking to get away.
The lanai space is absolutely amazing. The pool is perfect and where our kids would play for hours. The space by the pool had a ping pong table and corn hole where we played for hours with the kids. The views from the house are stunning and we captured endless rainbow pictures staring at the beach.
Suzy Moffett is exceptional in her quick response time and helpfulness. She went grocery shopping for us prior to our arrival, gave us great suggestions for restaurants and even mailed back my sister’s earring that she left behind.
The vacation was a dream and the house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for what my family needed.
Thank you to Suzy and the owners for sharing their dream house with our family. It was a once in a lifetime vacation that we would be lucky to do twice!

Our group of nine adults stayed in Kaunas Nui Villa for 5 nights in the first week of April. The view over the water to the island opposite is beautiful, and we spent our first evening watching whales having fun on the far side of the straight.
We cooked-in several times and found the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment. The grill was also in great shape.
The pool was a perfect temperature and there were plenty of water toys and beach towels.
The house is in a nice quiet spot, with a few eating options within walking distance. Lahaina old town is a 15-20 minute drive.
There’s a large Safeway on the edge of Lahaina and a small, but very convenient and well stocked, supermarket a few minutes drive from the house (Napilli Market).
The owner, Suzy, was responsive to messages and requests and helped us check in without any problem. She was also able to accomodate a bit
of bed re-arrangement, which was much appreciated.

My husband and I took our children and grandchildren, a party of 9, to Maui and stayed at this Villa which was AMAZING! It was our first trip staying in a private home over a Hotel and we found it to be so much more relaxing, and private. We loved everything about this home, the bedrooms were large and each of the master suites, 4, had amazing views of the ocean and walk out decks, we could not have been happier. Suzy was very nice to talk with and if we return to Maui I would love to stay here again.

The location was fabulous! Kahana Nui Villa is an oasis on its own, yet very close to some of the best sandy beaches in Maui. Swimming pool and hot tub in the back yard overlooking the ocean were big hits! The house itself is perfectly planned so all 11 of us had room to ourselves, as well as great gathering spots for all to be together. No details were overlooked...truly a paradise!

Our families couldn’t have found a more perfect place to spend time together. The villa included everything to make our stay comfortable and fun! We appreciated the boogie boards, sand toys, fishing poles, and low back beach chairs that were provided at the home. The boys caught a fish on the first day, but let it go. The pool/spa really brought our families together in the evening. We were able to enjoy the light rain showers, beautiful rainbows, and unforgettable sunsets as we splashed and floated in the pool. The outdoor shower was wonderful, especially after a full day at the beach. The rooms were spacious and the home was more than perfect in allowing 4 families to have their “quiet” time in the morning either on their balcony outside their rooms or walking to the beach right outside the property. A sea turtle also made its way on the beach to rest. Loved having the windows and doors open to receive the smell and coolness of the ocean air. The only complaint... we had to say farewell to a wonderful villa that made our trip especially special. The villa had so much charm, lovely decorum, and an experience that we could not have had anywhere else on the island. Thank you Suzy for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Mahalo!

Our family of 14, ages 70 to almost 2, were all comfortable in this lovely home! From the early morning rainbows to the spectacular evening sunsets, this place was like a Hollywood movie set!! The kids and parents all enjoyed the pool when we were not out snorkeling or going to a luau or taking a family photo at Baby Beach! The proximity of this home to the great beaches and good eating spots in Lahaina and Kapalua was one of the reasons I booked this particular place and we were not disappointed! The owner, Suzy, was very responsive to any questions or needs that we had during our stay. One of the highlights of our trip was Chef Bryce, a Suzy referral, who came in to make a fabulous dinner for our whole family, some who are gluten free, on one of the last nights of our stay. Needless to say, none of us ever wanted to leave our little piece of Paradise, but we are already looking at dates for next year! It’s a wonderfully peaceful place to spend time with your loved ones!

My family and a few close friends stayed at Kahana Nui Villa for 6 nights and it was absolutely amazing. The style of the house itself was very unique and looks exactly like the photos! Our large group never once felt cramped either. This was my first time in Hawaii and honestly I just wanted to stay here all day and enjoy the beach and pool. When I did choose to go into town it didn't take long. We had a couple of questions throughout our stay and Suzy was very attentive.
One of my favorite parts about this home was opening the windows at night and listening to the ocean. This home was paradise and I would definitely stay here again.

This fantastic house made our week log stay in the Kahana area truly unforgettable. The house interior is beautiful, the great pool was used every day, and the ocean facing backyard turned every evening into a special group sunset viewing experience. I spent weeks combing Craigslist, Air Bnb and VRBO for a location for our women's retreat and was so grateful to stumble upon this house and the owner, Suzy. From the moment I first stepped into this home, I felt like I walked right into paradise.
The floor plan is open and expansive with completely unobstructed views of the ocean. We only saw a couple people on the beach out front, and heard nothing from neighbors, so even though the home is in a neighborhood, we felt like we were completely alone.
We loved eating meals on the upper patio overlooking the ocean, swimming in the pool and hot tub during the day and watching the breathtaking sunsets in the evenings.
Our group of 12 had plenty of private space and areas to hang out. The rooms are so quiet that even when we had babies crying in the bedrooms, nobody could hear it in the rest of the house.
Everything we needed was provided for in the home, so much so that we wish we'd brought 1/2 as much stuff. Pack n plays, pool toys, sand toys, ping pong table, beach towels, chairs, water shoes, kids snorkel equipment, a fully stocked kitchen with everything you'd ever need to prepare huge meals.
The design of the home was beautiful without being ostentatious or with fussy things that kids would easily break. If you enjoy details and design, you will love the Tahitian imported doors, coffee tables and wood carvings and fun details and artwork throughout. The outer grounds had a variety of interesting sculptures and touches that did not go unnoticed.
I will forever dream of this spacious, expansive villa by the sea and hope we can come again soon. Thank you for making our stay perfect <3

Great spacious rooms and common area. Shag carpets a little dated but pool and jacuzzi were great and we loved our five days there with 3 other golf couples!

We celebrated our 40th anniversary and 70th birthdays with our entire family at Kahana Nui Villa. We were a group of 11, ranging in age from 9 months to 70 and this home was absolutely perfect for us with 4 master bedrooms, two of those having a twin bedroom next to it, perfect for the children. Everyone had plenty of space. The pool, hot tub, beach and surf provided endless entertainment even when the sun was not shining! The house is so well equipped and renters should check out supplies before heading to the grocery! The location is also perfect, just out of the crowds of Lahaina but close enough to easily reach all activities.
Everyone in the family had a fabulous time and can’t wait to return someday!

This property truly made our holiday stay one of a kind! As soon as we arrived we fell in love with it. Its location is fantastic, right on the beach with the most amazing view for sunsets. The house is very accommodating for large groups and it was perfect for our family of 12. The decor is gorgeous and makes you feel like you can really settle in, like it's your own home. We loved having our own beach front access for swimming, and snorkeling with barley anyone else around. The house is kept very clean and the owner Suzy is so sweet and helpful with any questions or needs that we had. We will definitely be back to indulge in our home away from home! Highly recommended to anyone looking for the perfect Maui getaway .

There aren't enough superlatives in Hawaiian or English to describe our stay at Kahana Nui Villa. The house was perfect for our group of 12. The 4 kids loved the pool, hot tub and beach. They didn't want to go anywhere else! I didn't want to leave. The kitchen is top of the line, the beds were luxurious, and the view of Molokai from the shower is almost unfair.
Drawbacks to the property? Okay, lets see...there was only one dish towel, and the driveway is a bit tight. Now that's nit picking. We absolutely loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

My two children and I had the pleasure of staying at Kahana Nui for the weekend. We wanted to stay forever. The house was not only spectacularly beautiful and well decorated, but it was cozy too! We enjoyed sitting on the deck or lounging in the pool looking across the water to our home of Molokai. We had all the amenities we needed to feel like we were right at home. In fact, we wanted to stay at Kahana Nui rather than go to the major attractions Maui offers. We snorkeled right off the backyard beach, collected shells and lounged by the pool for barbeques.
The owners were helpful and friendly and very down to earth, making us feel welcome and at home when we arrived.
This was our first stay here in Kahana and we can't wait to return. The house is so large and well stocked that we are dreaming of a family reunion so we can share a little bit of heaven on earth.

This beautiful home provided the perfect backdrop for a sun filled week on Maui. The house is wonderfully decorated and comfortable. The open floor plan of the house provides plenty of space and comfort for large or small parties and families. We enjoyed soaking in the hot-tub, watching whales from the lanai and swimming off of the beach in front of the house. The views are spectacular and you feel as though you are in your own private oasis. Kitchen and amenities all top of the line and everything was clean and well stocked upon our arrival. The location is ideal with supermarkets located close by, fantastic hiking and restaurants all in the neighborhood. Lahaina was a quick drive from the house as were all of the amazing beaches in West Maui. If you are looking to rent a home where you can cook, watch amazing sunsets and fall asleep to the waves, this is the place. It made our vacation completely stress free and relaxing! We loved our time here, highly recommend and can't wait to vacation at this house next year!

We have stayed at Kahana Nui twice, in 2007 and 2009 and absolutely loved it each time! The owners are great to work with which adds to the overall experience! The house is comfortable and beautiful, with views from the upper and lower lanai that are breathtaking! In season, whale watching from the house is spectacular, so bring binoculars! The house is fully stocked with all linens, kitchenware and basic needs, along with toiletries as well, making it feel like home away from home. With the pool and hot tub being the spot we enjoyed most, we found ourselves never wanting to leave the house as it was total paradise all on its own! We have many fond memories there, and plan to return again in the coming years! Thanks for making our experiences so perfect!
