The condo was everything we hoped for. Spacious, comfortable, convenient, beautiful views, and central location ideal for exploring the entire island. It was our first stay in Maalaea vs the main tourist areas of West and South Maui and the condo is a hidden gem, plus a good value for a true 2BR/2BA (not easy to find on Maui). Area is tranquil, right on the water and walking distance to beaches, the harbor, aquarium, and a handful of shops and restaurants. Plus, easy access to the highway and a short drive to Kihei, Olowalu, Iao Valley, Kahului, and more. Pat was phenomenal to work with, great communication and generously shared info, tips, and recommendations. Mahalo and a hui hou!

Very well stocked and appointed condo in a great location with a lanai overlooking the pool and Maalaea Bay. Watch and listen to the ocean surf from the condo or grounds, which are beautifully kept. We were able to walk to several restaurants and shops, the Maui Ocean Center, and the Maalaea Bay harbor where we caught a short whale watching cruise. This is a relatively quiet spot, but centrally located for much of you would want to see in Maui and just a 20 minute ride or so from the airport.

It’s a quiet friendly, up kept environment. Condo is perfect for two couples having their own bathroom or for a family. All you need is food, the kitchen is stocked like home. Pool and grounds are really nice. View from the condo is beautiful. Location is a 10-15 either way to the bigger towns if you’re into shopping. There is a restaurant called Dante’s that was good and reasonably priced, only a few minutes walk. There’s also a fast food place, bumper cars/mini golf and a store in the neighbourhood. We’d rent this condo again if we’re fortunate to go again.

This place has everything from beach chairs, cooler, beach towels to spices and condiments for cooking! Traveling so far they have really thought of everything and the place was bigger than we expected, the pictures don't do it justice. Definitely stay here if you are looking for the best place!

The condo was well supplied and comfortable. Some condos can be cramped, especially 2-bedrooms. But this one was nicely sized with a comfy sectional in the living room. There are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance, as well as the Maaleaa Harbor for whale watching tours, etc. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic find! Condo was just as pictured. Clean, comfortable, and great location. We didn’t end up using the kitchen as much as we thought we might, but the kitchen was nicely stocked with anything we would have needed. The filtered water was awesome to have as well. Beds, towels, and couches were extremely comfortable as well. Didn’t have any issues with noise from neighbors or courtyard. Keyless entry was a breeze. Was slightly worried about the street parking, but it was always easy to find a spot right next to the condo. Street is extremely quiet and felt very safe the entire trip. This unit is beautiful, clean and well kept, and in the best location possible; the complex is well maintained as well. There are views for days (Maalaea Bay, the turtles swimming right next to the property and popping their heads up or waving, amazing sunrises), so much so we didn't turn on the TV in our 8 day stay! The host was welcoming, reachable, and helpful. We will be back!!!

If you want peace and quiet away from the busier areas of Maui, Ma'alaea is the place to be. Conveniently located in the middle do easy to get anywhere on the island.
Updated condo with good oceanview. Well appointed with everything you need.
Only negative is no washer as nd dryer in unit, but paid laundry on the same floor. Also you have to park on the street, which can be problematic.
I would definitely recommend this unit and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We were so pleased with our stay in Pat’s condo. We entered an immaculately kept and comfortable space with all the conveniences of home. The kitchen is especially well-appointed with every baking dish, pan and implement imaginable and a cupboard full of dishes. This made our Thanksgiving dinner preparations a breeze. The central location of the property was perfect for that early morning drive to see the sunrise at Haleakala and the day trip on the Road to Hana; and also convenient for a pleasant day of shopping with lunch in Lahaina. The grounds of Maalaea Kai are beautiful and relaxing with welcoming lounge chairs and tiki torches overlooking the bay and green turtles foraging along the volcanic, rocky shoreline. The one slight downfall of the grounds is there is no beach immediately accessible, but it is just a short walk away. Truly, we didn’t even miss it—didn’t have to worry about tracking in the sand. If I was going to change one thing about the place, it would be to cover the doors to the Master bedroom, as they are ornate glass, but slightly see-through in places. It wasn’t a big deal for us, since our family was all on the same schedule (early to bed; early to rise), But, I can see how it might cause a problem for 2 couples traveling together. The beds were super comfortable and with the sound of the waves and the cool, fresh sea air, I slept better than ever before! We hope to return again! We highly recommend this property!

My husband and I along with another couple reserved this condo for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every night. In fact we've already reserved it for next year. We love staying in Ma'alaea Bay. It's so convenient to everything on the island, very quiet and low keyed. Pat's condo is beautiful, has a wonderful view for watching whales and turtles and overall the most comfortable condo we've stayed in. It's more than accommodating for 4 adults to either sit or lie down very comfortably in the living area. The beds are very comfortable as well. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you can think of and need for cooking, every spice in the cabinets along with flour and sugar, and every kitchen appliance you can possibly need. It is also spotless! We loved sitting on the lanai...ate there every time we ate in the condo and grilled out several time on the grounds which are immaculate.
Conveniently located within walking distance to the harbor, we enjoyed eating at Beach Bums and shopping. You can also take dinner cruises, snorkeling and scuba diving, as well as whale watching excursions. If you like walking on the beach, you're in the right place...just a shot walk to get to Sugar Beach, the longest beach on the island. We've done all of them in the years we've stayed in Ma'alaea. With a short drive to Lahaina, we enjoyed eating at Bubba Gumps and Cool Cat Cafe and of course, shopping. If you like a great Elvis impersonator, go to the Maui Theatre for the Burn'N Love show. Darren Lee is fantastic! A short drive to the upcountry is well worthwhile for site seeing, eating at Pollo's for your "Mexican fix", and shopping at Sherri Reeve's gift shop with all of her art work displayed...all in the town of Makawao. There are so many exciting things to see and do on this island and Pat's condo is centrally located to everything on the island.
Pat was so gracious to answer all of my questions, emailed me tips on restaurants, things to see and do, and always responded in a very timely manner...if she couldn't answer my phone call. We look forward to visiting your condo next year! Thank you for everything Pat!

We were absolutely pleased with everything at Pat's condo. Spotless and well maintained.There was not an item we needed as she has everything at your fingertips. Great appliances, nice dishes and you could be there for a period of time and not have a need except for groceries. Beautiful view from the lanai and grounds are well kept. Plenty of information to look at so you can plan your daily trips. The beach is an easy walk and clean. Easy excess to local restaurants and the harbor. Always have enjoyed staying in these condos as we were centrally located for all activities. Pat was commodating and very helpful. Thanks for sharing your home, Gerrie

This is not a review of the property as I never actually stayed there, but of it's owner, Pat. We booked with her for a 5 day stay, and then had "circumstances beyond our control" just 3 days after booking. I contacted her to let her know and within the week she had refunded our entire deposit, not just the part I was expecting. Thank you, Pat for the honesty and consideration!

This was our second stay in Pat's beautiful condo, which she continues to improve. Pat is a wonderful host and very helpful in answering questions and offering sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. The condo's central location in Maalaea gives the traveler short drives to Kahului, Lahaina & Kihei. The next time we return to Maui, we will not hesitate to book Pat's condo again.

Beautifully decorated condo. The biggest negatives were the fact that you had to keep waking up to reset the AC, as it would shut off after 4 hours and the fact that you only had a partial view of the bay due to the condo wall to the right. It was also the only condo that we rented through 20 plus years of renting at Maalea bay we have not had in unit laundry facilities.

We stayed here for a week. The area is quiet and relaxing as well as being convenient for going anywhere on Maui. We loved sitting on the balcony and being able to see whales in the bay. The condo is well equiped for cooking with not only the dishes etc but having spices too. It is nicely laid out. Pat was wonderful to deal and had seen to every detail in making our stay the best it good be.
