We stayed here for 9 nights and couldn’t be happier! This place was perfect for our family of 4. The condo is beautiful, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. The property is quiet, well cared for, and adjacent to a great beach. The view from the lanai is beautiful. Having beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards available made it easy to have a great time! The owner, Terri, is attentive and conscientious. She seemed truly concerned with making sure our needs were met. I highly recommend this lovely place for your stay on Maui!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo in Maalaea. It is in a quiet area of the island, but close to the Maalaea Harbor that has shops and many excursion options that take off from there. It is a convenient and close walk to the harbor from the condo.
We were lucky to have the owners of the condo on the property during our stay. It was so nice to meet them and have a personal connection. We can see why that place is special to their family.

Kanai a Nalu has been our favourite accommodation for many years. The ocean views and whale watching from the lanai as well as the ease of access to the pool, beach, bbq's made it the perfect location to bring the whole family. This particular unit is well furnished, has updated air conditioning, and is located a short distance from the elevator. We will be back!

We had an amazing experience staying here and Terri was great at communicating and resolving any issues. There are many extras included in this home that make your vacation much more enjoyable. Everything you need to go to the beach: chairs, umbrella, coolers, snorkel gear, hats, etc. There was plenty of laundry supplies and dishwasher packets. If you like to cook, it has everything you need. I would highly recommend staying here. The beach is an easy walk. The area is very quiet compared to other resort areas on the island. The street is a dead end that ends at the beach.

Great location for a week on Maui. Condo had everything we needed to cook and bbq for 4. A/C was wonderful. Short walk to sandy beach and harbor. Nice, quiet area.

Terri was an amazing host and communicated with us the whole way and went over and above with all the amenities and extras! The location was perfect for our first visit as it was central to everything! There is easy access to the beach and the condo has all the equipment you need for the beach!
The only thing I would suggest is there could be a few more hooks or places to hang up wet clothes but that is the case for every accommodation that we have been to.
Thank you to Terri at Dad's place, truly a magical vacation with my teenager and senior dad!

We knew we were in for a great week from our first conversation with our host (Terri) The place was so clean and stocked with everything we needed to have a good time. Perfect location, everything we wanted to do was approximately 20 minutes or less in every direction. General Store within walking distance with a great little cafe for coffee in the morning. The breeze coming off the ocean was great, we never had to use the AC. Great snorkeling right off the beach behind the unit. We saw lots of fish and a few sea turtles. We had a great time and highly recommend Terri’s Dad’s Place. We hope to come back in the not so distant future ! Mahalo

Excellent condo and location. Everything for this condo is accurately stated in the write up and photos. We enjoyed the balcony and seating for 4, the sun is bright and too hot between 6:30 and 11, but all other times was perfect with nice view of property, ocean and Haleakala!
Excellent boogie boarding right out front, surfers farther down towards marina, and snorkeling out front when calmer. People around island get excited seeing turtles, there’s turtles all around here. We snorkeled within a few feet of 3 turtles for 30 minutes watching them eat on a reef right in front our first day. The water was cloudy but was better actually than two beaches in wailea.
Beach is small right in front (waves with cover mist of it) but the large beach is about 100 yards down or can sit on grass above the beach. Very private with only few people on beach. We either were only ones in water or on sand, or maybe 10 others tops.
BBQ’s are big and good enough for 4 people cooking at a time. Pool is small and basic. Grounds are simple but very clean and well kept up.
There’s definitely many fancier and newer properties with more amenities. But for this price range, it was perfect for us for a mix of staying put all day and other days exploring the island.

It was such a gift to stay here. The place was well maintained, was very comfortable, and had everything we needed for trips to the beach. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and look out at the bay, seeing whales in the distance. Terri was a thoughtful and well-prepared host. Can't recommend this property enough.

We had a wonderful time in Maui!! The condo was true to its description, had everything we needed. The grounds are small and quiet, we had such a busy itinerary so the property was suitable for our needs . We were 20-30 minutes from most of our chosen beach locations . Highly recommended Mill house Inn for a dinner - just gorgeous property and 9 minutes from the condo ! Go before sunset as the grounds are not to be missed

The place was excellently located to enjoy as much as Maui as possible. Stocked with extras you might need for your stay. Like all condos, issues can pop up. We had trouble with a fan and Terri took care of it. A drain pipe on the ac unit above must have slipped loose, causing water to drip on our patio. We reached out to Terri and the issue was resolved. That’s how I know she is a great host for her property. It easy to be a good host when everything goes along easily. It is much harder to be an excellent host while having to take care of condo issues while you have a guest using the property. We just went about enjoying our wonderful Maui vacation and Terri took care of things. It was nice to deal with someone who when the said they would take care of an issue , it was taken care of My family plans to return in a couple years and the whole group agreed that we would want to repeat at Terri’s place.

Excellent excellent excellent accommodations and the owner of the condo was so accommodating. There were 3 families in 3 different condos in this complex. This condo was furnished like a beach home should be. Boogie boards, skin boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beaches bags, towels. Then there was the condiments in the kitchen and the first aid and lotions in the bathrooms fully stocked. Oh and the bound book on table with all the information you need for the island. That is worth its weight in gold. Every condo had a view and you really did not need an air conditioner with all the fans and opening windows worked perfectly. The view was breathtaking and I could see my grandkids in the pool. Which they were in every day. Also the 2 large gas’s bbq by the pool were perfect for our large family. This is the First time I stayed in this location which was Centrally located. We could walk up the road for small shops and restaurants. Planning our days for different beaches we got up early to get parking. Would Come back to the condo for pool time and then we plan our evenings going up to Wailea area or all the way to the other end Kaanapali area and never had a problem getting into a restaurant ( 11 of us )we just had to plan on a travel time. I have been planning this family trip for 10 years and the accommodations wonderful thank you again Terri.

This was one of the nicest condos we have stayed in. Very well furnished, everything you could possibly need. Even a medicine cabinet with lotions, gels, etc. every spice, condiments and beach accessories. Incredible view with whale watching all day. Very quiet, extremely well maintained property. Terri was a delight to work with. She treated us like family. A+++++++ rating.

Staying in the center of the island made everything very accessible. The road to Hana and the volcano took an entire day and it was nice that we didnt have to drive all the way to the other side afterwards. And vice versa…. Spent a few days at the other end (Front Beach, Kaanapoli, black rock) and only 20 minutes back home:).
Could see whales from our balcony and grounds were very clean and quiet.
Having all the extras in the condo saved us hundreds! We used scuba gear several times and only needed a couple things out of the medicine cabinet/kitchen cubby once ir twice, but was nice to have some in hand without having to buy a complete bottle. It also felt good to leave extra unopened things that We bought, didnt need and didnt want to carry back home.
Terri was amazing and we enjoyed having the air conditioning in December. The days were warm and after coming home from the beach, showering, it was nice to sit in the A/C.
We had morning sun on the balcony and evening shade! Would definitely recommend and stay again!

If you want a clean beautiful place to stay that is RIGHT ON THE BEACH, this is it! We feel so incredibly lucky to have stayed here. Our boys loved walking down to the beach and snorkeling every day, with amazing fish and turtles right off the shore! I'd love to stay here again. The only downside is everyone's voices echo in the courtyard, however I'm not sure how to fix that other than telling every renter on property to ensure they're quiet on their lanais.

This well supplied, clean, and cozy condo was in the perfect location for our family of 4 ( including 2 older teenage boys) It was a great starting point each day for our excursions or if we just wanted to hang around and relax at the beach and pool. Terri was in constant contact before and provided full information on anything needed! The view every day and night from the lanai was so relaxing with the cool breeze! Would highly recommend!

Terri anticipates every need. The condo is very orderly--even the kitchen junk drawer is neat--and well stocked with all you could want for a great beach vacation. The complex had a range of ages--from little kids splashing in the pool, to 20 something's playing spikeball after a day of surfing, to Dad's waiting their turn at the two grills. But everyone was considerate and well mannered. So at night and early in the morning, all we heard was the surf. I liked the quiet location but it was also within easy driving distance of all the must-see Maui sites--Lahaine and Kaanapali, the Hana Highway, Haleakala crater and more.

Cockroaches in kitchen termini pec came and did a poor job of spraying my around the condo. Still killing them on Friday, when they were here on Wednesday. King size bed very uncomfortable and needs new pillows.. Noise control not observed and woken up before 7am with kids screaming out in courtyard.

Aloha! We enjoyed our time at this condo. The location was nice because you could go to different parts of the island like Lahaina and Wailea within a short drive. The owners provided a lot of great information before we arrived and had a binder full of useful information in the condo. Terri was very helpful, friendly, and checked in on us to make sure we arrived safely and the condo was to our liking, which it was! She was very thorough and caring. There are many restaurants, grocery stores, and shops close by. The condo was well equipped and clean with a Hawaiian feel to it. You have a nice view of the ocean from the balcony. If you are looking for nice blue clear water please know that the beach in front of this condo is narrow and the water is brown toward the shore like many other areas surrounding this area. Books like Maui Revealed will even tell you that and map out where the waters begin to turn blue. We drove to Kamaole beaches, Makenna-Wailea areas, and even Big Beach for better beaches and pretty waters. The drive to those areas was quick, but well worth it. If you are looking for a relaxing Hawaiian vacation I recommend staying here! These owners have done a fabulous job. Mahalo. ~The Matteson Family

We had a wonderful time staying as a family in this condo. The owner was extremely accommodating and friendly, shared good places to eat and go, etc. She let us check out later as we had a late flight, and that meant one last swim with the turtles at the adjacent beach. (Thank you Teri!) Best of all, there was everything we might want available to use, from a cooler for our picnic lunches, to toiletries, beach equipment, board games, etc. And the condo itself was pleasant, had a nice personal touch and feeling to it and was pretty and comfortable. Our son stayed at a nearby condo that was fine, but antiseptic, so we all gathered in our place. The complex itself is also very nice with a pleasant area to barbecue and sit out. It is ideally situated to explore the island. If we are lucky enough to go back to Maui, we'd want to stay right here again.

We loved our vacation in this condo! It's outfitted with everything you need and we made good use of the cooler, beach chairs, and beach towels. The location is perfect, right on the edge of Sugar Beach which allowed for magical long walks along the beach. There was nothing better than enjoying morning coffee on the lanai, watching the whales breach or blow. Terri is extremely organized and wonderful to deal with. Everything went smoothly and we're already looking forward to our next trip!

The condominimum was very nice and well maintained. The condominum association grounds and facilites are beautifully maintained. The owner had detailed instructions on everything, was very responsive and was very accommodating on allowing us to stay past the check out time because we had a late flight out. I plan on renting this unit again when we return to Maui. Yes, I would definitely recommend this unit to my family, friends and others looking for a place to stay that is quiet, in a great location and is reasonably priced.

Our family loved this condo! We loved the not so busy atmosphere in the Maalaea harbor area! The condo was everything we dreamed it would be! It is very clean, the grounds are kept very neat, and it has everything you need. All the people working there are super friendly! The view from the lanai of the ocean and pool & courtyard are spectacular! (Good place to have your morning coffee!) Beautiful trees & flowers to enjoy! A very central location if you want to go to all the other areas on the island. My teenage kids enjoyed the use of the snorkel gear and the beach lawn chairs & coolers got well used. The binoculars came in handy too! And the "Maui Revealed" book that was at the condo was a wealth of information that we used quite regularly! Walking down to the harbor in the evening was nice to do as well! And having the beach right there in front of you was so spectacular! We can't wait to come back to this condo in future years!

Our friends and we had a PERFECT Maui vacation.
The condo was super clean, had a beautiful view and, to go to sleep hearing the ocean waves was unbelievably wonderful.

This property is perfectly located, just a short drive to Lahaina, Kahului, or Kehei for all the shopping, sight seeing, or the beautiful beaches that litter the west side of the island. Although the 5 mile stretch of beach that begins right out in front of the condo complex was perfect for boogie boarding, snorkeling, etc., or just relaxing. Or take a short walk to the harbour where there are many shops and restaurants. The condo was clean and came with everything that we needed to make it our home away from home, with a gorgeous view overlooking the pool area and ocean. The complex is very quiet and laid back, and the way it is designed is perfect for sheltering the pool and common area from the trade winds, which we found to be rather soothing. The owners, property manager, maintenance people, and regular or permanent residents were all very friendly, and so helpful. We would highly recommend this property.
