My wife and I recently stayed at Carey’s place for our babymoon. Pictures are as is and ocean the sunrise/sunsets are incredible. Carey went above and beyond as a host, gave us great suggestions for dining (we went to a number of them) and activities and kept in constant check in during the Lahaina, Kihei and Upcountry fires. He was especially empathetic and flexible with all of the flights being cancelled. We would definitely stay again as it’s central to airport, Kihei, Wailea and Lahaina.

If you’re on the fence about where to stay, just stop. We’ve been to Maui several times and always stay on the Kaanapali coast, thought that was the place to be, not any more. Being at this property puts you in the center of all things Maui! No more 2 hours to get here, or there, because of traffic or distance. Read the rest of the reviews, we agree with everything everyone else has said and give Carey and this location our 11 out of 10 rating!

Very nice clean condo. View was So Awesome. We did here the ocean waves. So relaxing. Had all you need for cooking. Fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom sink is just Beautiful. The pool and the walks were such a pleasure. Thank you.

As nice as it looks in the photos, the pictures don't do it justice. It was IMMACULATELY/ showroom clean. My wife and I looked at a LOT of places before deciding on this one and not only were we not one bit dissatisfied with anything, this place exceeded our expectations. For the price, we thought maybe there'd be SOMETHING that made us go " so that's why it seemed too good to be true " ... but nope.... sea turtles came in every day too!
I also wanted to add, how kind, courteous and helpful the owner and staff were. Just a great Maui experience all the way around. I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone.

My husband and I loved our stay at the apartment. You could not be any closer to the ocean without being in it! We saw turtles in the water from our balcony each day. It was a beautiful setting with anything you may need during your stay. The owner was very responsive and answered my questions extremely quickly. One thing to note that I have not dealt with before in a rental.......you will have to wash all towels and sheets before your departure. Keep this in mind as you will need to account for the time before you can leave. Other than that, it was a great stay in a very quiet area.

Everything was perfect! Carey was responsive to all of our inquiries, gave us some great ideas of things to do here, and the rental was even better than advertised! The condo was just as pictured/described. It was amazing! Great location as it was central to everything. Carey was easy to work with, provided good check-in directions and touched base with us during our stay to ensure we arrived safely and didn’t need anything. I would definitely rent again!

The location of this unit was unparalleled. View of Haleakala, the ocean being right there and being in the middle of the island so everything was at most a 30 minute drive away. Host was responsive and unit had all needed amenities.

Thank you Carey for allowing us to spend our wedding anniversary at your condo!
We had a wonderful time, enjoying the lanai, watching the turtles, the view... it is amazingly beautiful! Carey is very attentive and caring person, we called him on the phone and he immediately responded. He emailed us recommendations for places to go visit and dine and gave us his recommendations for the best ones. Most condos have a queen or double beds, Carey's condo has a king bed, so comfortable that I wanted to pack it in my luggage and bring it with me :)
The condo has everything you need to cook a good meal; we didn't cook there other than coffee and tea and maybe a fruit salad and a bruschetta. We went out everyday for lunch and dinner. The kitchen is completed with beautiful dishes and decorations, it is well stocked with everything you'll need and versatile. The condo is located in a very quiet place, we wanted to spend our time in a peaceful place and this one was perfect for our stay.
We were asked to do the laundry before our departure, but we didn't want to spend our last two days of vacation doing laundry. So instead, as soon as we arrived from the airport, we went to Costco, bought a set of new king size sheets and some towels to use in the condo and other one to take to the beach, and we used these instead of the ones from the condo. As we arrived to the apartment, we carefully removed all the bedding, folded and put it away in the closet, we didn't use any towels, or any other clothing item that would be needed to be washed. This helped us by not stressing us on doing laundry at the end of our stay and it was very relieving. We packed our dirty bedding and towels and brought them home, but not having to do laundry while our vacation was enormously helpful! We wish, we didn't have to do this during our vacation. We did sweep the floors and the lanai and did wash the couple of dishes we used while there. We did our best to leave the condo as clean as we found it and respect the property and everything it contains.
It was a wonderful experience!
All and all, we definitely recommend Carey's condo and if we get the opportunity again to come visit Maui we will reserve again if it is available.

We loved our stay at Carey’s condo. She communicated with me from beginning to end. I had questions during the booking process as well as after we arrived, and her responses were speedy and helpful. She was able to accommodate an earlier check-in which was helpful. The condo is nicely decorated and has everything you need. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need for cooking as well as all the little things like chip bag clips, plastic containers, two types of coffee makers, plastic wrap/bags, etc. The king-size bed in the bedroom was super comfortable. We preferred the single recliners in the living room rather than the leather sofa. We did not use the AC at all (stay was in late July/early Aug). We kept the sliding glass door open and turned on the ceiling fan in the living room and tower fan in the bedroom and let the trade winds cool down the unit. There are also window shades in the living room that can be lowered to block on the sun and keep the unit cooler, if needed. The bathroom is nicely appointed. The shower has a nice spray that can be rotated between overhead rain shower, direct body spray, wand spray or downward spray for washing your feet. The shower is a little bit small to move around. There was one boogie board, two Tommy Bahama chairs, beach umbrella, two sets of snorkel gear and pool noodles (which bought and took to the beach for hanging out beyond the waves). There is also a soft-sided cooler and ice packets in the freezer for packing lunch to take to the beach. We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the turtles foraging for food and the activity in the bay. The lanai does not face west so we could not watch the sunsets. We used the lounge chairs on the grass and the pool. We did not use the complex’s BBQ’s but saw that they were maintained/cleaned constantly. The complex is very quiet and kept very clean. Parking was convenient and the complex provides shopping carts for transporting items to/from the units and elevators. The complex is by the marina and there’s not much offered in this area. But the drive to Kihei or Kahului is less than 15 minutes and the drive to Lahaina is around 30 minutes (more with traffic). All in all, the condo was lovely and very comfortable and had everything we needed. One thing to consider is that this area of Maui is very windy. We got relief by driving to Wailea and Kaanapali. It may have been the time of year though.

We really enjoyed this condo. It has a really nice view of the ocean and Haleakala from the patio and it's central location on Maui made it easy to access all the sites. We wouldn't change anything. There's not much nearby besides other condos so it's a bit quiet and you have to drive to get to any restaurants or stores. That was a positive for us as it made it very relaxing.

Everything we wanted and more!! It is clean, fully stocked with anything you may need and more, the ocean view is incredible, and the facility is very well-maintained. The groundskeeper was working hard to clean the pool and keep the property spotless everyday! We loved watching the turtles and surfers. The check-in process was super easy and any communications with the owner were very helpful and friendly. We will most certainly be back and I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Honeymoon in paradise!
We had a fabulous time staying here. The owner, Carey, replied back to us promptly when we had any concerns. The condo was amazing since it was well stocked with everything you would need. It is clean, beautifully decorated, amazing appliances, super comfy king-size bed and well stocked with everything from cooking utensils, beach supplies, amazing appliances, dishes and cleaning products. The view is breathtaking and the ongoing sound of the waves is so soothing and relaxing! We have stayed in many places in the past and by far this is our favourite. The location is convenient if you want to explore all parts of Maui.

The condo is just as pictured! Sitting on the balcony/lanai you can watch the sea turtles in the water. The breeze blows through so you don't need to use the air conditioner and you can hear the waves crashing as you sleep. The decor is beach themed in lovely serene colors. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed including paper products, laundry and dish detergents. Location is walking distance to the Maalaea Harbor, so you can walk your dinner cruise or some restaurants and shopping. The area is not crowded. It was an easy drive to anywhere on the island...15 to 20 minutes to the airport, Costco, Walmart, Target, and many many restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return sometime.

The condo was amazing. It was truly magical being able to wake up to waves crashing while watching the sunrise every morning. The location was excellent as it was close to major attractions yet also far enough away so one could enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of Maui. Carey (property owner) was extremely responsive to questions and the recommendations provided proved perfect for what I was looking for. I am already looking to go back and would book the property again if available.

The location was perfect for us. It was extremely quiet and this was a perfect condo for my husband and I. Beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella were provided which we definitely took advantage of. It was a fully stocked kitchen so we could brew our coffee every morning, enjoy the gorgeous lanai, and watch sea turtles almost every single morning! You can tell how much effort was put into the decor inside and it was a gorgeous. Can’t wait to come back. Wear sunscreen!!!

Beautiful view of the harbor and turtles in the water. Condo is completely renovated with gorgeous decor. Owner provides everything you could think of (except personal toiletries) including everthing you need for the beach (chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, etc.) Owner was very responsive to questions.

Had a lovely, enjoyable time. The king size bed was so comfortable, I want one at home. The decor at the condo was very nice & accompanied the beach theme. It was nice watching boats & surfers off the balcony everyday. We used the beach chairs & umbrella, which was great.
Only small suggestion is the facility needs umbrellas at the pool for shade & the dryer in the unit, although new & nice, takes forever to dry a load. Washer was very fast on 30 min cycle. We would definitely stay here again when coming to this area. Thanks Carey!

We really enjoyed staying at Carey's condo. The views were to die for. We slept with the screen door open every night, and the sound of the ocean was so soothing to fall asleep to. It was awesome being able to see turtles surfing the waves from the condo balcony, too! We stayed at the Days Inn our last night in Maui and we desperately missed the condo. It's just so nice and secluded, not touristy at all. It felt like a real vacation! We already want to plan our next trip back. :)

Carey’s condo was excellent! Super clean with epic views of south Maui and a great spot to watch Sea Turtles snack on the algee right off the coast. Carey was super helpful and responsive and the bedroom was recently remodeled and extremely comfortable. The area is windy, but the condo is super quite and relaxing and centralized giving easy access to most of the island with a short drive. Overall an excellent stay we look forward to coming back!

This was our second time at the condo ( the frist time in 2009). The condo is very welll equiped from to kitchen, to the towels and beach chairs, booggy boards.... Great bbq right on the beach. The location is great with great beachs to the north and south. The communication with owner was very efficient and helpfull. Highly recommend the condo.

Although upon arrival the building looks older. Once you enter the suite you realize all the details that have been put in to the place. It's beautifully renovated and has everything you would need! Carey was amazing is providing clear details and information on things we could do. Highly recommend this place for anyone wants to see both the north and south end of the island! We can use 1,000 words to describe this unit or just use one. Outstanding!!! The unit exceeds the listing description. It is beautifully decorated, a perfect location, an awesome view of the bay and everything, and we mean everything is provided for. The surf, the whales and turtles and the view cannot be beat. Every amenity is provided for just bring your clothes and buy food. Carey was great to deal with. We rate this as 6 stars out of five!!! When, notice we did not say if, we return to beautiful Maui we will be looking to rent this unit again!!! Do not hesitate to book.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully appointed condo. The owners have thought of everything - the décor is like something out of a magazine and anything we needed was supplied. We could sit on our lanai and watch the whales play and we were very short walk to the harbor where we highly recommend The Four Winds Whale Watching tour!
If you are looking for very comfortable accommodations with a spectacular view, friendly people and a safe neighbourhood, look no further - paradise found! We will be back for sure!

We stayed here for about 5 days while on our vacation and the place was absolutely beautiful! The view from the patio was amazing and you could see such a great view of the sunrise every morning. Also, the sea turtles were right below you hanging out in the water. They had everything that we needed while we were there including beach towels, snorkling gear (minus the fins but you can rent them from Boss Frogs for $1.50 a day), a cooler, toiletries that we may have forgotten and also condiments and spices if you wanted to spend a night in and make dinner. The house was very clean and the bed was super comfortable, which was a plus! We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this condo to any one of our friends looking to travel to Maui!

My Husband and I have just returned home from a magical 2 week 'Babymoon' on Maui. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Carey & Warren's condo. It's better than advertised- beautifully decorated, SUPER clean, very well stocked and the location is great for exploring the whole island. Carey responded to all emails extremely quickly - overall a very easy, pleasant transaction.
We enjoyed watching sea turtles from the lanai of the condo. Honolua Bay and off Kahekili Beach were two of our favorite places to snorkel. The swap meet on Saturday's at the college in Kahului was a great place to score art directly from Artists whose work is featured in many of the galleries for significantly less than the galleries charge (there were lots of 'flea market' types of things there as well, but there were local artists there too).
For those concerned about the wind in Maalaea - no worries - the condo building nicely blocks any wind while you are on the lanai or down by the pool and keeps the condo nicely cool.
Thank you Carey & Warren! Next time we come to Maui, we'll bring our son! :)

Very convenient location (you can walk to the Ma'alaea Harbor for whale watching trips and to the attached shopping area), great views for whale watching (in season) right from the lanai, and a beautifully decorated and furnished condo (definitely a feeling of luxury).
Carey and Warren have done a wonderful job furnishing and decorating this unit - it is as shown in the pictures and we felt very much at home here. We enjoyed having our meals out on the lanai and being able to watch so many whales while we ate.
In addition to the activities and restaurants Carey recommends, we add the following:
- Tradewinds, the little store in the building right next to the harbor - their chili dogs and their daily specials are very tasty and priced right and their papayas were very flavorful.
- The cranberry chicken salad sandwich at The General Store down at the harbor was delicious and perfect for a picnic lunch for side trips up to the high country.
- Da Kitchen back in Kahului (about a 15 minute drive) is excellent for large helpings of local food - try the Polynesian Panic Moco Bowl - YUM!
- Lastly, if you want to try authentic Filipino food, Manila Bistro on Wakea Blvd is very good.
We definitely plan on coming back and would recommend this unit to our friends and family. Carey was most helpful with the booking process and was prompt in returning our security deposit. This is a jewel in Ma'alaea and is a wonderful alternative to the crowded, touristy locations on Maui.
