We really enjoyed our stay at the Paia Family Cottage as the house was spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. It is also within walking distance to the centre of Paia town, where there are many lovely little shops, restaurants and cafes. The beach is also within walking distance. I would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely property, just far enough from the main drag of Pa'ia to be quiet, but still a super short walk in. Back deck was a great place to enjoy the sunrise with breakfast. Interior was spacious and comfortable.

My family and I were in Paia for a wedding and this house suited us perfectly! The property was clean, as advertised, and was in a GREAT location. All of the wedding activities were in town so we were able to walk to everything. The hosts were communicative and check in was a breeze. Would definitely stay again!

The house itself is great.
If you are planning to use it as a base for adventures, and don't mind driving, it's good.
But if you're hoping to hang out in the yard and take strolls around Paia, it might be a bit of a disappointment. It's situated in a very windy spot, a bit of a walk up from Paia. And the town itself, while cute, didn't feel super safe to me. Quite a few mentally ill/drugged folks living on the streets.
We left early for a friendlier/safer part of the island.
Maybe we it was extra windy when we were there...?

This cute, clean, & and convenient cottage with a nice ocean view backyard just a short walk from Paia shops, restaurants and beaches worked very well for our party of 4 (2 couples). Short drive to upcountry. I'd stay here again for sure.

We had such an amazing trip with our two boys. Most of the amazing was due to the place we stayed at. The management team/hosts were very gracious and communicated very well prior to and during our stay. They let us know about what kid items were in the house and provided us with rental suggestions for everything else. Could not have been happier about our stay!

It was close to everything we wanted. We were able to walk to town and it was a short drive to Baldwin Beach Park. The house had everything we needed and more. Our family with 2 children had a wonderful time at the Paia Family Cottage. It’s a great spot away from the huge hotel complexes in other parts of the island. There are nice beaches nearby (Baldwin Park where we regularly spotted turtles and Hokipa beach where you can watch the surfers). Shops, cafes (best coffee in town at Better Things) and restaurants are within walking distance. The road to Hana starts here and for ambitious cyclers (for best value get your bike at Go Cycling Maui) there is a great trip to Haleakala Mountain.
Beach supplies can be found in the carport. And there’s a barbecue in the backyard if you don’t want to go out for dinner.

We had an amazing week staying at Greg and Daniela’s Paia property! Our baby absolutely loved watching the cows grazing in the backyard and all the toys, books and beach toys throughout the house. The location was perfect for walking to the delicious coffee shop and town for shopping or food. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Ok, besides the occasional speeding car or motorcycle the peace this property offers is wonderful. The proximity to the grocery store, shops, restaurants, beach is excellent. The breezy warm air of Paia is perfect. Paia is fun and the people are pleasant. The property is very comfortable, clean and private.

My husband and I have 4 kids, ages 4-13yrs. We’ve traveled all over the Virgin Islands, Aruba, Bermuda, Jamaica, Mexico, Fl, CA and the big island. This was the most incredible vacation yet and many thanks to the comfort and convenience of our rental property!
It was a short 15 minutes from the airport to the house. We didn’t read through the info sent over by Daniellea and ended up at the main house. Note, this property is one driveway downhill from where navigation will take you. We called Daniellea and she was nice enough to guide us to our property by phone late at night.
We were pleasantly surprised with a 3rd bedroom with a fold out futon. My son was relieved he didn’t have to camp on the sofa. The girls shared the queen bed and our youngest slept in the king with us. The air conditioning was functioning and effective. The only minor complaint we would have is there were only a few paper towels and the master bedding smelled as if it was left in the washer too long. When we stripped the bed, there were some stains that were a little unsightly on the pillows and mattress. This was a little uncomfortable to see and I wondered how clean our bed really was. We also only had 1 trash bag and ended up using a gigantic yard trash bag we found in the garage.
Otherwise, positives: walkable, amazing beaches (check out secret beach for “kiddie pool” protected from waves by lava rock), better things coffee was unimpressive however, super friendly and amazing baked goods! Nuka sushi was amazing and a short 10 minutes away. We watched whales and surfers just east of Pa’ia off the highway. We found a ton of turtles at another nearby beach (we saw so many obnoxious tourists attempting to touch them- please maintain distance if you stumble upon them- sacred and endangered animals).
We loved how environmentally conscious Pa’ia and the property are. The locals are beautiful people and I can’t imagine what they tolerate with travelers. We felt so fortunate to have the opportunity to stay in this house, a perfect place for a family. Kids cups, utensils, plates and sand toys/ boogie boards/noodles/ toys/ books.
We made the mistake of spending a fortune at Mana thinking it was the nearest grocery stop. The food from here was delicious, healthy and enjoyable.
We did our very best to clean after ourselves, washed towels, emptied trash and washed dishes. We left some food items hoping the cleaning crew would take it home or donate.

I grew up on Maui and have been coming to visit every year since I left. My family and I loved this spot because it is close to everything and keeps you away from the business in Kihei. The home was beyond perfect for my family. I especially loved that there was a bonus room with children’s books for my son!

Just want to say what a wonderful time we had. Daniela & Greg were attentive and answered all of questions (which were few). The home was very clean and the location to town and beach was great. We rode bikes to the beach and enjoyed eating at Paia Bowl for breakfast (must try). We hope to come again next year. Thank you so much !

Everything about this property is wonderful and even better than described and in the pictures!
The beds and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever had on a vacation. The A/C works well. Lots of room to spread out and love the outdoor space!
We used the beach chairs and boogie boards daily. Quick walk to town for shopping, dinner, and groceries. Great yoga studio right up the street.
Baldwin and Baby Beach just a few minute drive away.
We are so thrilled to discovered this area of Maui and can’t imagine staying elsewhere again!

The house was so cute and well maintained. We loved the backyard area and spent evenings in the family/dining room area enjoying time together.
Paia is a wonderful pushing off location. There are plenty of good restaurants and shops close by. The beach is within walking distance. It was also easy to get in the car and head out across to the other side of the island or go up to the crater.
The property manager was great and responded well to our change in arrival time. They answered all of our questions and made us feel welcome. The house amenities were nice as well. The kitchen was nicely stocked, there were beach chairs and other supplies there as well.
I would definitely recommend this house as a comfortable, charming and peaceful place of rest after long days of activity and sun.

The Paia Family Cottage was great for our crew of friends. There was plenty of space to store all of our kiting and surfing gear. A nice, quiet backyard deck. The kitchen was well equipped for daily use. Would recommend for a family or a group of friends.

The Paia Cottage is the perfect place to stay if you want a spotlessly clean, large, fully stocked and furnished home in Paia. Everything about the cottage fit our needs perfectly. The 3 bedrooms are quiet, clean and relaxing. The patio and view out back provides a great place to relax or read. WiFi was fast, kitchen fully stocked, living area large and a nice picnic like table for family meals. It was the gathering place for our family members who were staying in different places on the island. Easy walk to town, and beaches so close you could almost hear the waves. Nice basket of Hawaiian goodies are provided as well. We all wished we could stay another week because we loved the cottage so much.

Great place for a work/play trip in Hawaii. Plenty of space in the large, communal kitchen-area for three of us to work, cook, and hang out. Good coffee (arguably the most important ingredient of any successful trip involving a time zone-change) was a short, relaxing walk away. Plenty of good food and bars within a 15 minute walk - and the beach too.

This is a lovely property. It’s walking distance from Paia’s restaurants, shops, supermarket and the beach. It’s thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a family, including modern, high quality appliances, a well equipped kitchen, and high-speed internet. The cottage is sunny and quiet, and there is a relaxing deck looking out over the fields. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained, and the managers are friendly, relaxed and full of local advice. A lovely cottage in a spectacular part of the world. Highly recommended, especially for families.

Dream situation in funky-fun Paia on Maui's north shore--privacy and green views plus an easy walk downtown to local beaches or for lunch, dinner, shopping. This roomy and spotless cottage or "ohana" has a really usable kitchen, area, very well stocked. We used the big table for group meals as well as grandchildren's art projects. The beds are comfy. Easy parking in the double driveway. The front yard is quiet and private . The master bedroom and lanai and deck in the back offer great views across rural Maui. From this cottage in the funky-fun small town of Paia we could quickly walk downtown for lunch or dinner or artisan coffee and lilikoi mousse, and cool shops. We could shop for groceries at Mana, the organic downtown grocery, and for beer/wine at the Pit Stop down the street. We had a car so it was only ten minutes to Ho'okipa to see big surf and surfers, as well as a whole congregation of green sea turtles. You can also walk to several local beaches (including Baldwin, also with sea turtles) from here.

I love this ohana. I felt rested at the end of my vacation because the beds were so comfy. It is such a sweet property and I love walking into town for groceries and the cute shops. They definitely keep it clean and the house had everything we needed between the kitchen and everything else.
