The place was a great value. The only complaint is thin walls, we hear some arguing neighbors, baby crying and of course the roosters crowing, sometimes even at 1am. Otherwise, place was clean, beds were comfortable, shower worked, no complaints.

I will start by saying this was a cute place, a good size for two people and may try to rent again next year. Just a few things that could have been helpful. The shower drain was not covered, which is where I believe the biggest cockroach I have ever seen came from. The paperwork said there would be extra batteries which we didn't find when we had issues with the tv remote. The couch was torn, didn't want to sit on it and have it tear more. The curtains were moldy which caused a lot of allergy issues and a swiffer would be helpful to keep the floors clean during our stay.

The 2 bedrooms include closet space and a dresser for clothes. The 1 1/2 bath is up to date and clean. Laundry room is across the parking lot, but costs extra (we did not use). The beach nearby is good to watch the sun rise and stick your toes in the water, but you have to travel further down the path to get to the swimming area in front of the resort. The best thing about this property is the LOCATION! Anywhere on the island is easily accessible from here. There are many options for eating, drinking, shopping, etc. Other than Lihu'e, this is probably the biggest town on the island. This area is more "local" than Princeville. We considered staying in Princeville and am glad we chose here instead. If you are looking for the "resort" type of experience, this is not it. This is where you will find shorts, t-shirts, and sandals wearing people. No need to dress up.

The location was wonderful, right by a great bike trail on the beach and very central to everywhere on the island. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean and tastefully updated, but some deep cleaning does need to be addressed - the curtains and fans need a good scrub. Regarding the lack of ac- I DID know about this before booking, but was not expecting it to be so hot in October. It was about 85 degrees inside the apartment when we arrived, with the windows open. The owner has said that they are not allowed to install ac, so this is not something they can fix unfortunately, but it is definitely something to be aware of before booking. They do provide arctic coolers which do a good job cooling if you sit directly in front of them, but it's not going to cool the entire room. The owner also was very responsive and brought us a brand new arctic cooler when I called to let them know that one of them was not working. I was much more comfortable after that as the new cooler was much better at cooling. So I really appreciate the extra effort!

This was our 4th. trip to the Garden Island and every time we booked with Donna.
The apartment is equipped with everything what you need, the location is just great, we enjoyed again our vacation here. Donna is a wonderful host, we can just recommend her. We will definitely return.

Property is tastefully updated. There's lots of parking. Close to shopping, restaurants, best malasadas and best Shave Ice. Not far from the airport. Appliances are newer and plenty of dishware & cookware. Bathrooms are nice and beds were comfortable.
The host was very helpful. We had issues with the Artic cooler and they delivered replacements asap on the holiday weekend.
If there is one thing I would recommend is updating the beach supplies. But totally understandable that it is a tropical island and if other guests do not help take care of it, not much can be done to clean constantly. We do not feel this is a negative reflection on the property.

Great condo for a beach stay in Kauai! Kapaa ended up perfect for us as it was centrally located to everything we wanted to do, and the condo was in a great location just a short walk to the beach. Check in was super easy, the host was very responsive, and the property was wonderful! Highly recommended!!

We had a great time. The roosters were annoying at 4am. But that's just what it is. The unit was clean. The window shutters did not move and we're pretty weathered. The kitchen was well stocked.
There were two couples staying at the home. It was a bit small. There is only one sofa and a few bar stools in the main room. It wasn't a comfortable spot to sit and visit or watch TV. But we didn't spend much time there. So it was ok. The laundry was old, and when I did a load, it didn't clean well so I took my clothes to a laundry mat across the street. But again it wasn't a big deal because the laundry wasn't in the unit and wasn't convenient to use anyway. So no big deal.

We had a great long weekend staying at this unit. In a great location. A short walk to the beach via great paved walking/bike trail. Walking distance to Kenji a yummy burger stop. Always a spot to park our rental car in front of the bldg. Decent little kitchen for our morning coffee and breakfast.

My adult son and I loved this cute condo. We were greeted daily by a friendly calico cat who would sleep on our front lanai. Thank you for an abundance of hangers! We had plenty of bath towels, but could have used more wash cloths and hand towels. This condo was very clean and well kept. With the louvered windows in the bedrooms and half bath and front & back doors open we had a nice cross breeze. The overhead fans in both bedrooms and the living room also helped. The beds were comfortable. There were large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. A good number of spices plus salt and pepper were present. There was no cling wrap or aluminum, but we picked up a box of gallon sized Ziploc bags and left the remainder of the box for the next tenants. All in all we LOVED this place and highly recommend it.

Cute little apartment in a good spot. Several food places nearby, very close to a grocery store, nice little path leads to the beach. Comes equipped with beach gear like towels and chairs. Unfortunately there was no way to drown out outside noise so we were woken up by roosters very early every morning, but that's okay. Everything was clean, it was nice to have two restrooms. Check in and out was very easy and the hosts were easily communicative. I would definitely stay here again :)

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay here ! It was conveniently located near a Safeway and all kitchenware was clean and like new. Hosts provided everything we needed and gave very detailed explanations for all amenities. We stayed here first week of May and had good weather. The artic coolers helped a bit with the humidity. A lovely two bedroom condo which is a two minute walk to the ocean. It's a block off of the highway which makes for very easy access yet far enough away to not hear traffic.
The neighbors were nice and quiet.
The condo is clean and nicely appointed, including all the kitchen utensils and dishes you might need.
Located on the outskirts of Kapa'a it's a fairly quick drive to the north and south sides of the island.
On a side note, the morning we were checking out, our flight was cancelled and we had to scramble to find a place to stay an extra night. I alerted Donna the property manager and though our place was already booked for that day she scrambled tomtry and find us another place to stay. That was going above and beyond and i thank her for that.

We had a very nice stay at the condo. The condo was very clean and in a nice location. It was walking distance to the beach. It was also walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants. We also used the public bus which has a bus stop quite close. We used the bus system to go to the trailhead for the Ho’opi’i Falls. We loved the restaurant down the street called Lemongrass Seafood & Bar. We also really liked the restaurant Bullshed which is right next door. There is a nice bike and walk path by the ocean. There were beach chairs and beach towels to use which is always a bonus. Be aware that you will be woken up to roosters crowing which are everywhere. We had a nice stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was clean and quiet. When booking for accommodations, we looked at locations (with kitchen) where there are the convenience of nearby shops for groceries and other sundries. This unit worked well for us. Their pre-check-in information about the unit and their policies was clear to read. Communications with the property management was very good. There was a minor concern which was addressed quickly. The unit was equipped with the necessary materials for a travelling family to be able to prepare and enjoy meals. Beach equipment such as fins and snorkeling gear for renter's use was a surprise to us even though we brought our own. We would come back to this place.

Overall we’d say that the listing was accurate; however, it was much more about the aesthetics than comfort and functionality.
Negatives:
The little ac units and other plug-in fans were very dirty so we opted to not use them, which meant we spent the whole trip with a warm and muggy apartment. Everything looks very nice but the functionality and practicality of the setup just didn’t work well for us. I didn’t find the couch comfortable to sit on for too long, the seats out front aren’t comfortable, the beds were much too soft and clearly needed to be flipped/rotated, and the back porch chairs were fine assuming they weren’t soaking wet. There’s really no good place to sit and eat since we didn’t find those bar stools to be comfortable. The Wi-Fi instructions didn’t seem to be totally accurate- the primary Wi-Fi never even comes up on the list to connect to it. My husband was very frustrated to find out that we couldn’t grill at all either, and the last thing we wanted to do was heat the house more with turning the stove or oven on. Lastly, the bathrooms both had issues. The half bath’s fan didn’t work so you had to leave the window open, and the full bath’s fan only runs if you have the light on too so that was annoying. The shower curtain setup was also pretty annoying - the rod is on backwards so when moving the curtain back and forth the rings would catch, fall off and come completely out of the curtain, and it looks like someone cut up the liner so there’s only half a liner. Our one attempt to let the owner know about some of the things that weren’t working didn’t get answered until the day before we left either so that was frustrating.
Positives:
It’s a somewhat quiet spot although the fire department near by seemed to get called pretty frequently. We liked how close we were to lots of restaurants and shops if we wanted to walk or just take a short drive. The beach that’s right there isn’t a very good one for laying out on or snorkeling in the waters so we usually drove to the south end of the island to do those things, but the fact that this place is kind of central it was easy to head either north or south each day to do things.
In the end, we wouldn’t stay here again and probably wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

This was a great place for me to stay with my 7-year-old son and husband. Enjoyed having a full unit to ourselves. It was very quiet and relaxing (apart from the roosters, which are everywhere in Kauai). The kitchen was well-appointed, which was great for staying in for meals. This place has a supermarket, Starbucks, wine store and the beach all within a few minutes walk. The host was quick to get back to us with any queries.

The only thing we didn't like was that the roosters started crowing early in the morning so we put in earplugs which helped. They are all over the island so probably most places have this problem. We would stay there again.

This space was perfect for us and our toddler. The perfect amount of space and amenities, and amazing access to the beautiful beach. We loved seeing the ocean through the trees while eating breakfast and listening to the waves at night. The unit had everything we needed! Will be be recommending this place to friends.

Had a great time on Kauai and staying at the property. Great location near shopping (walking) and easy access throughout the island. Great condo just steps from the beach and centrally located. The fans and windows were perfect to keep a breeze rolling through. Tons of amenities given (kitchen utensils, beach chairs, snorkel sets, umbrellas, towels). Only downside was that the TV doesn't really work in the bedroom (super glitchy) and the back door doesn't lock which wasn't much of a problem because of the nice neighbors around us. Overall great stay, we'll definitely stay again when we return.

Donna’s place is very clean, well maintained and has all the essentials needed for a clean, comfortable stay.
You can hear sound of the ocean in one of the bedrooms and the breeze was great. Roosters that are everywhere else on the island are around here too and definitely make themselves known.
Kids really enjoyed streaming their favorite videos when it was raining out. That was a nice touch.
Location is by the ocean, less than a mile from many good eats. I would certainly consider Donna’s place for our next visit to Kauai.

The place was clean and had everything we needed. Great to have 2 bedrooms. As others have noted, it's 1.5 bathrooms not 2 full bathrooms as stated in the listing.
Communication wasn't amazing, but the issue we had was resolved reasonably quickly.
The details on this listing and in the book at the property are very out of date regarding the path to the beach, its an easy walk along the bike path, great place to watch the sunrise.
If you like cats there are two that hang about in the parking lot that are very friendly named Spike (Tabby) and Cali (Calico). The neighbor told me they are aged 20 and 15 respectively.

The place is nice it can sleep up to 6 people. It is also located in a nice location. A lot of good store and restaurants close by. The unit was advertised as a 2 bed / 2 bath. But I n reality it’s only a 2 bed / 1.5 bath. The other bathroom was not a full bath with shower. Only one bathroom has a shower. Also some of the appliances doesn’t work. One of the burner in stove doesn’t work. The bread/bagel toaster doesn’t work. If you’re staying for a whole week like we did, make sure you buy or bring your own toiletries. The one they provide is not enough to last you the whole week. There’s a washer and dryer in the complex for $1.75 wash and $1.75 dry, but it’s a hit or missed. Sometimes it work sometimes it doesn’t. I lost more money than getting my clothes washed and dry. Calling the number posted in the laundry room doesn’t help either. They never return your call. Lastly, I guess this is by personal preference. We were there August and it does get hot in there. The house does not have AC. It does have ceiling fan in each rooms, but it’s not enough. You’ll see neighbors also leaving their doors open just to have air come in their house. There is a portable AC in the house but the exhaust hose is missing to have the hot air out of the house. So, pretty much the hot air just circulate back to the house making the house much hotter than it already is.

We had a great experience. Donna was responsive and even got a brand new tv when the living room one stopped working. My kids enjoyed being able to watch Netflix in the evenings. The location is great-central to pretty much everything. There are plenty of fans-we were never uncomfortable. I do recommend earplugs for the roosters-Longs Drugs sold some that worked well. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place for the price!

The unit itself was as advertised, was neat, clean and very livable. The location is great. Unfortunately, the bike path, I think, was being worked on. We discovered that if you stayed around you were bombarded with very loud construction noise right outside. We tried not to be there then. All that is not the owner's or property mgr fault. We never had reason to contact the prop mgr so can't comment on that. We were very happy with our accommodations.
