We loved our week staying at Mark & Barbs condo in Maui! Communication was great, and the check in process was easy. The condo was clean, spacious and stocked with everything needed, from beach umbrellas, to boogie boards, and ample toiletries for the week. The views from the lanai were lovely - we enjoyed so many sunsets. It’s a great location within the property - we loved the proximity to the pools and Dukes. Mark & Barb are fantastic hosts. We’d love to visit again one day.

The condo was perfect for our family of four. Beautiful weather, great view of the ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai. Kitchen was well outfitted. Condo is close to lots of activities. Owners were great with communication. Thank you for sharing your wonderful space! Aloha!

Everything was great from the communication with the owners to the amenities of the condo. Fully furnished and all you needed to bring was your suitcase. Location was great for all activities. If we go back, we know where we will stay!

The 2 bedroom condo is just as it looks online. The beds are extremely comfortable and nice bedding/towels. The kitchen is VERY well outfitted and there was no need to buy all the basics. The balcony does not get sun this time of year, which was actually nice to have a place to relax that was not in full sun. Parking was right near the elevator in the garage and a few great options for food on property. The unti has beach chairs and a large umbrella which were surprisingly sturdy and saved us $150 a day in renting from the Hona Kai!! We especially like the location as it was a 10 minute walk to Bad Ass coffee and a small local grocery store. The owners were very generous with follow up and care.

This unit is exactly as advertised; convenient, well-equipped, and in perfect condition. It’s in a great location - very convenient to activities - and Barb & Mark are terrific to work with. When we return to Maui, we will definitely try to return to this unit.

The apartment as described was accurate, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there were cranes parked right in front of our terrace, painting the exterior of the building throughout our stay, so we're unable to use the terrace as it was noisy and workers were present starting 8am until 5pm. We had planned having our breakfasts in the terrace, the view would have been nice, but not able to enjoy at all.
The convenience of being close to the pool and the beach was also not an amenity we were able to enjoy as the closer access doors to the pool were closed and blocked by the cranes and we had to use the far doors away from the pool. I wish we had known this, the appeal to choose this apartment versus another was quick accessibility to the beach, pool and restaurant and the view, but neither of these amenities were part of our stay. We liked the resort and the apartment, but maybe next time I'll have to specifically ask if work is being done and machinery is parked on the grounds. Not a view I enjoyed.

The condo was absolutely the great. It’s in a great location at a great complex on a great section of beach. Mark/Barb are the best hostess we have ever had. Communication from they before, during and after was great. You won’t be disappointed if you rent this unit from them. Mahalo

My family with two small children stayed here for a little over a week, and it was a perfect fit for us! Our kids loved the all of the pools, and the location was perfect for other activities we wanted to do around Maui! Honua Kai is the perfect blend of high end amenities with casual clientele (which we have found is sometimes hard to find!). Overall, the unit is well equipped and very clean! The linens and furniture are nice quality. We really enjoyed the view and the lanai for evening family time! Owners were great with communication as needed! Overall, highly recommend!

We’ve stayed several times at Honua Kai and this unit was in our top two. Great location right above the pool so quick access in and out of the building. SUPER clean and had little things like beach chairs, food storage items, coffee filters, etc. that really made the stay easier! Mark and Barb were very nice and great communicators. A wonderful stay!

We would definitely rent this unit again. Very easy communication with the owner (Mark & Barb) and the person greeting us at the Honua Kai (Candice). The 2 bedroom unit has a inner courtyard and ocean view. Very clean, lots of equipment (beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella…). Free underground parking was also a nice perk.

I took my 75 year old mother to Hawaii. We loved our stay at the Honua Kai Resort and our room was wonderful. It had everything we needed! The staff were amazing and helpful. Thanks again for making our trip something we will always remember!

The appliances were top notch the finest you could have we had a problem with the screen door on the deck and called the concierge service they had it fixed right away.

Great hosts. My wife, two sons, and myself had the best time here this past week. Cannot beat having a kitchen and groceries nearby. Cannot beat having Duke's right there for the breakfasts, lunches, or dinners that you don't want to make yourself. Don't want Duke's? Whaler's Village is a 40 minute stroll away. The Honua Kai grounds are lovely and having all the beach amenities sure makes having a grand time at Barb & Mark's place easy. Sunsets are special on Maui! The 40 minutes after the sun hides are the best!

The property is wonderful! Mark and Barbara have made the place perfect. Kitchen is well stocked with everything. Beach/pool toys are wonderful especially the pool/beach chairs. These really came in handy with the limited number of pool chairs due to COVID. The location is perfect with amazing sunsets each night from the lanai. We will be back again and again because it was that wonderful!

The condo is perfectly located for people watching from the lanai. Beautiful ocean view and super close to the beach and Dukes. The unit itself is well appointed, clean, and updated. This trip was with our daughter and friend so we needed a two bedroom. Next trip would likely be just the two of us, but this unit is so nice we would likely spend the little more for two bedroom just to stay here again. Key to getting into Dukes is to put your name on their list ahead of when you want to eat. Really no big deal.

What can I say... the property was amazing! Barb has thought of everything with plenty of extras. Rooms and beds were comfy. Bathrooms were roomy and the kitchen was supplied very well. Lots of thought went into it. Highly recommend and I would definitely come back. This was my third time at this resort and the amenities never disappoint. Very well kept. We love it here🌈
