This condo is right over the ocean and overlooks Magic Sands Beach. The waves crashing against the shoreline were so amazing we spent a good part of our vacay on the lanai. It is huge with table and chairs and chaise loungers. Boogie boards, umbrellas, and other beach stuff are there too. The place was clean, well stocked kitchen and decorated nicely. We will be coming back for another visit next year. Mahalo!

Amazing!!!! You cannot beat the location of this unit. Absolute beautiful. So beautiful, you do not want to leave it to do anything else. I have been to this island many times, so I have seen the sights. I was able to just enjoy the unit for the week right on the water and right beside the breach. There is a very good restaurant two floors below and also a coffee and snack stand. There is a bike rental stand across the street with three speed cycles. We paid $3.50 for a day of riding each. Highly recommended and will book again.

The area felt very safe. The room was perfect for the 2 of us. We were very pleased with our stay. We loved having the sliding glass doors open using the screens , it was the perfect breeze and we loved the sounds of the ocean.

This top corner unit right next to the beach has everything one wants in a vacation unit for 2. Very large deck with plenty of seating and big table. Windows on 2 sides to take in breeze, light and views. Beautifully modernized and comfortable kitchen & bath. Perfect!

Wow! This place is awesome! The Kona Magic Sands is right next to Magic Sands beach which is a beautiful white sand beach with great swimming, snorkeling, and dolphin watching.
This is the best unit in the complex. It is on the top floor with a wraparound lanai overlooking the beach (there is no elevator). We've stayed in other units but will only stay in this one from now on. Everything about this unit rocks. The attention to every detail made our stay extremely enjoyable including everything from the glass Q-tip holder down to the Tommy Bahama sheets. I know that may sound funny but everything was above and beyond our expectations. The decorum is bar none. They even have a storage box on the lanai with beach gear like boogie boards, Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrellas, etc. When we arrived, all you need is a code they provide to enter the front door.
If we had any questions before our trip, the owner replied immediately by email. We never had a need to call before or during the trip but had their phone number if we needed. Before the trip, we would ask if he had such or such an appliance or amenity, the answer was always yes. When we got there, one of those appliances that we asked about was still new in the box...almost like he had purchased it just for us. We were happy to find the kitchen pretty much fully stocked like spices, foil, plastic bags, etc. We added a few things as well.
The complex has a private laundry mat with machines that use an app called Payrange. You can use quarters or you can use the app to purchase funds, select your washer and dryer, and it even tells you when your clothes will be done so you don’t have to hang out and waste any time staring at a machine.
There is also a newly renovated restaurant attached called Magics which has fantastic food, a great ocean front view, a killer bar and sunsets.
Since the unit is surrounded by ocean on two sides, the waves can be a bit loud at night and we had to get used to that as we live in the mountains and are used to very quiet nights. With that being said, we love the sound of the ocean. The only drawback with having a restaurant below was hearing the delivery van’s backup beeping at 6am in the morning (we’re not early morning risers). Also, they like to do a lot of blowing in the morning, but it keeps the place nice and clean.
You will not be disappointed in this place. It may just be your best vacation ever as it was definitely our best!

Best location, big balcony overlooking waves.
Really enjoyed our stay. Owner was very responsive and flexible. This condo is recently renovated and has everything you need. We cooked some. Bed was comfy. Big screen TV was nice for downtime. Waves were daunting to me, but I used the pool a few times.
Only thing that we felt was missing was air conditioning. The afternoons get pretty warm, but we closed the drapes u t sunset which helped. I would highly recommend this unit, and would stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality Kona Magic Sands!

Our stay at KMS 301 couldn’t have been better! We found the unit clean, comfortable and just as advertised. Plenty of beach towels and gear, all in very good condition. The furniture inside and outside was clean and very comfortable, especially the two recliners! The extra large lanai has incredible views of the ocean and beach, great for watching the waves and boogie boarders below. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom has a great shower, good lighting and plenty of counter space. I was especially grateful to find a folding step stool in the closet, to assist me getting into and out of our rental Jeep in my wedding gown! The owner was very quick to respond to our questions, both before and during our stay, and we are thrilled that they choose to make this unit available for us to enjoy! Thank you!

One of the best places to stay in Kona. The large lanai is basically over the ocean, surrounded by water. The studio is nice and clean, has basically everything: fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, big screen Tv, etc. Owner is very helpful. Highly recommend place to stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Magic Sands Condo. It is the best unit in the complex. The corner unit has a huge lanai that is so close to the water that is like our own private beach. You can watch fish play in the waves from the deck. The unit has everything two people need for cooking and visiting the beaches.
The complex is older, which is why it has such a great location between two beaches, but this unit is totally updated with a very functional and spacious studio layout. The ocean was a bit rough during our visit so we only snorkeled Magic Sands once, but the best snorkeling on the island is only 1 mile away. If you want resort ammenities this isn't the place for you. It is the perfect location if you want to kick back, listen to the waves crash below your feet and watch dolphins play while you eat breakfast.
