This unit has amazing views and a large lanai. The air conditioning worked great. Overall the unit was perfect for my party of 6. There are lots of pools and hot tubs for everyone. The snorkeling off shore was great. The washer wasn't working but the management made sure our laundry was washed for us upon request. The customer service was wonderful.

We had a great trip and want to come back! The views were amazing, the overall property was great for our kids with all of the pools, and the hosts were super responsive, easy to get a hold of, and helpful whenever we needed it it.
We even left a bag in the room accidentally and they helped us retrieve it after we were already at the airport. Really amazing service and thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at HONUA Kai resort. Whale watching from the room and walking down to the easy beach access was terrific. Everyone loved it! The kids loved the pools too. One person in our group would have liked more restaurant options nearby.

A family trip. Accommodation was perfect! Awesome kitchen with everything needed, Big comfortable rooms. Lots of extras, wine cooler, Smart tv in all 3 rooms, high chair and cot provided for toddler, beach equipment….

Check-in was fairly easy, and the property is very large with awesome pools and beach access. The condo has a wonderful layout (we went with my mom and our 2 and 4 year old boys), high-end finishes/appliances, and a phenomenal view. The beds and furniture are comfy, and arranged well, and the bathrooms are nice and generously sized.
That being said, it needs an audit. The upholstery and carpets are dingy, the drapes have stains on them, the coverlets on the bed needed laundering, the outdoor furniture had a giant hole in one of the cushions with stuffing sticking out, the outdoor table was fraying, the freezer was rusty, and there were marks on the wall in need of a paint touch up. We had to call maintenance out several times because the latch on the washing machine was broken so it wouldn’t start, the battery in the fan remote (there’s one without a wall switch) was dead, and the AC was locked at 70, then 74 and we wanted to set it at 76 (I had to call twice for that- would have been great if they’d unlocked it the first time). Management was kind and prompt in responding to all of these.
The kicker was the very obvious 1x1.5” chunk of glass that was chipped from the corner of the coffee table. When we were bringing in our suitcases, my 4 year noticed it and touched it and sliced his finger open. Half an hour of scream crying while we stopped the bleeding and bandaged it (and no pool until the next day when the wound had sealed a bit), was not a great way to start our vacation. They sent someone over, apologized, and removed the table. We also received a rate reduction due to all of the issues. I can’t say we’d stay in the unit again.

This was our second time staying at Honua Kai Resort and Spa. We loved it so much the first time that we felt like we could not go back to Maui and not stay here! We are so glad we did!
We are a family of 7 and all of us fit comfortably. There was more than ample space in the condo. All bedrooms had a view of the ocean which was a plus! One bedroom had two queen beds which was why we booked this condo in the first place. I hope the owners/rental agency does not change that. I think people underestimate how convenient it is to have an extra bed in one of the rooms so no one has to sleep on the pull out couch. The view from the lanai was amazing and we felt like we were home for the week. Maui Resort Rentals was excellent. When we looked in the closet, we only had three beach chairs and no umbrella. I made a quick call and they accommodated my request for an umbrella and brought us 4 more beach chairs! Everything at the resort was fantastic, the people friendly, and we never felt like it was overcrowded. Our only complaint was the Viking freezer was making ice, but it would immediately freeze into a big block. It really was a non issue, but I did mention to Maui Resort Rentals so they knew there was a problem. Hopefully it was fixed for the next guest.
We will absolutely stay at Honua Kai Resort our next trip to Maui. If this condo is available, I will book again. Gorgeous! If you are debating whether to spend a little extra for this resort, do it. You will not be disappointed.

We did enjoy using the high end appliances and well I just can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was. 10 out of 10!! I highly recommend this unit and VRBO!

This place was amazing. Beautiful interior with amazing view of Pacific Ocean with Lani mountains in the background. We had two problems with equipment in the unit. Washer and dryer were not working very well. One bathtub stopper leaked. Water leaked out quickly. I called to report the problems. Engineering said they would come by and look at it but nothing was fixed. Other than these minor issues we had a really great stay.

This is a lovely property with a beautiful view! The beds are very comfortable, the decor is very fitting for a Hawaiian getaway. It has all the comforts of home with all the luxuries you’d desire. While we did leave a very short note with some suggestions for items which we would have liked to have, we did not tell the owner our thanks for all of the items which we did have or for the little touches that are so appreciated. Stayed there 3 yrs ago and decided to come back. Hallways and interior of units looking a little worn down could use a refresh to doors and carpets in hallways. Beach access great! Self park in towers convenient. Easy walk for groceries so location is perfect! Our unit itself was a little dated could use a refresh. Matress in one of the masters needed to be replaced. Kitchen was lacking many cooking tools and large bowls with lids, storage containers, pitcher for water, spatula, candle holders, oven mitts. This made making meals challenging. It would have been helpful to have some corning ware that could be used as storage/cooking/serving type bowls and dishes. Placemats and candles and a pitcher would have made dinners a little nicer and oven mitts are a necessity when cooking. The layout was great! We were a group of 7 - parents and 5 adult children and the 3 bed 3 bath was perfect. Everyone was comfortable and we had plenty of room. There were some stains on the carpets in the bedrooms which should be cleaned. Also a big stain on an area rug in the family room which should be cleaned or replaced. A piece of furniture was placed on top of it. There is storage in the garage for surfboards and stand up paddleboard’s but there was not enough racks available for our equipment while we were there. So we Could not store our equipment securely in the garage.
The property management company was responsive and helpful. All in all it was a great stay. We hope the building is kept up, painted, new carpet, etc becuase it truly is a wonderful place!

We enjoyed our week at 525 Konea! It was perfect for the 7 of us (5 adults and 2 kids). The unit was updated, clean and had all the amenities for a family (kitchen, stove, oven, microwave and even a Vitamix for our smoothies & pina coladas. The resort pool and water slide were a hit with the entire family. Times Market was just across the street and we were able to grab groceries by just walking over. So convenient!
One day we locked up the AC and Maui Resort Rentals sent over a tech right away and fixed it. Now, that’s service!
Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back again! 😊

We spent a week at the condo with one other family. The unit easily accommodated 4 adults and 4 small children with room to spare. We requested 2 Pack n Plays and they were delivered within 20 minutes.
The resort is top-notch: a fun pool for adults and kids, free valet parking, access to a nice beach, and a boardwalk that connects many of Kaanapali's resorts and beaches.

This was an excellent choice - we loved the spacious, clean and modern condo in Maui. The beds, linens and pillows were all great as was the huge television in the main living room. The Honua Kai resort was also great, simple and straightforward enough for a small family to keep an eye of kids at the pool. Only issue we had was with the dryer that the Vacasa Management Team was able to address fairly quickly. Highly recommended.

The property was right as advertised. Great location and amenities. As stated above it could have used some higher quality wine glasses and more of them. A very minor issue. We loved the place and would definitely stay there again.
