We spent a wonderful two weeks. The owner has not missed any details in her guidebook. The location is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants so you don't worry about finding a parking place. The condo is well stocked with anything you would need for a day at the beach. Morning coffee on the lanai watching the surf roll in is a great way to start your day. The two air'-conditioning units worked very well. You can not go wrong staying here.

We stayed at Kona Reef during the Ironman World Championships and absolutely loved this condo! It was clean, comfortable and in the absolute PERFECT location. The condo was decorated as casual coastal which was perfect for us. There were many thoughtful items included such as boogie boards and a folding drying rack we could hang our swimsuits on, sunscreen, and sunburn gel. The washer and dryer were invaluable as we packed light and used the beach towels often! The community pool area was family friendly and the ocean front lawn was nice to watch the sunset from.

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. The location is great with just a short walk to downtown Kona, and an easy drive to beaches and snorkeling sites south of Kona. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and oils and things like plastic wrap, utensils, pots/pans, etc which made it easy to cook on a few of the evenings during our stay. Also, the unit had beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, beach umbrella, snorkel gear, etc which was great to have when going to hang out at the beach. The lanai overlooks the small beach and ocean just to the south. Also nice that they bedroom had a separate AC unit rather than just a single unit in the main living area. It feels like the unit was recently renovated as the counters, bathroom, and plumbing fixtures seemed updated. Overall a great unit and we would definitely stay here again.

Here is what I loved: OH MY GOSH! there was everything. I totally overpacked. There was shampoo/ conditioner/laundry soap/ beach towels, shoes, hat, beach chairs, along with a most homey, comfortable home to stay in. Loved the location; right on a beach (we saw turtles in the water), close enough to walk to town, yet quiet area. Great communication from Marni. I would come back!!

Marni's unit doesn't miss a beat. Beautiful unit true to photos. All guest needs covered including all the beach gear, multi USB ports on both nightstands, fully stocked kitchen including Tupperware, paper products. A full Brita pitcher waiting in fridge! Some appliances and all switches labeled too.
We've stayed at Kona Reef a few times. We were excited to see air conditioning was added to both the living room and bedroom. But you know what? We didn't need it! Ceiling fans, lanai screen and fan worked perfectly! Most comfortable stay.
Informative guest book, too, about unit and area restaurant updates.

Marni’s place is wonderful.
She was easy to communicate with. The condo is in a great location right on the beach and at the south end of the historic village. The lodging was clean, comfortable and attractive. Everything there you need: dishes, cups and glasses, kitchen ware, large coffee pot, large fridge, towels, comfortable bed, nice furniture, nice TV. Wifi was excellent. Comfortable lanai perfect for morning coffee or winding down at night. Fins, snorkels, ice chest, beach towels. She has thought of everything. Perfect headquarters to explore and enjoy the Big Island.
Next time we come, we will stay here.

Everything as advertised! Great location in Kona. Many restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We had a great time exploring the island all day and spending the evenings watching the sunset from the open air seating at many of the restaurants.

We were visiting Kona for the first time. The condo was very nice and comfortable. Fully equipped with everything you could need. Beautiful view of the ocean. Marni was easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly. The condo was on the south end of the main street along the beach. Far enough not to hear all the bar music at night but plenty close to walk to it if we wanted. Road noise can get a little loud but wasn’t too bothersome. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

The location is fantastic! Close enough to walk but far enough that you don’t feel like you’re in the thick of the town and tourists.
Head out to the pool to watch the sunset and hear some residents blow conch shells.

As a bonus, we overlooked Honl Park where every day there was yoga, people playing in the surf, boogie boarders, kids having fun and colorful people of all sorts. Marni was wonderful. We had a great stay, it was a perfect little place for my wife & I to celebrate her 50th birthday. Beach right off the balcony & a close walk to waterfront dining & shopping. Had a great time & the host even left us some chocolate covered macadamia nuts & coffee for staying. Very sweet! The only complaint we had is that we couldn’t stay longer. Comfy bed, living space. Lots of towels and bedding and a washer and dryer. The property overlooks a small public beach where one can relax, watch boogie boarders, do yoga, or read a book in the shade. We enjoyed access to the complex's pool and grills. Just enough away from the main activity on Ali'i Drive, to feel away from the hubbub, but close enough to walk. Depended on the free trolley to go shopping for groceries and visit beaches to the south. Enjoyed it very much. Marni provided essentials: coffee, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, boogie boards. This apartment was perfect for our ten-day stay. We spent countless hours on the lanai, which overlooks a lovely slice of the Kona Coast. The accommodations were excellent and included a comfortable king bed, a well appointed kitchen, and all the snorkeling and body surfing equipment needed for multiple water sports. The resort has a small but lovely swimming pool that was perfect for a lap swimmer like me. Marni is a responsive and thoughtful host who anticipates and responds to her visitors’ every need. The location is amazing. Easy to walk to area downtown for lots of choices of restaurants, bars, shopping and the view. Balcony view of the ocean is postcard perfect. The beach is right out the door with shower, bbq and pool area. Beach chairs and boogie boards available. I love wherever I sit in this condo there is a peaceful view. The artwork across from the sofa and chair make me feel cozy. King Bed was very comfortable and roomy. All the amenities to make this kitchen like home including coffee filters to make the Kona coffee you will want to drink. I can't imagine ever being disappointed staying here.

This is without a doubt one of the best condos that I have stayed in during my many visits to Kona. The unit is extremely well furnished, very clean and has a great view of Honl beach and the ocean from the Lanai. It is very quiet, less than a mile walk from the pier, has great dining/shopping nearby and basically has everything that you need from a fully stocked kitchen to ample beach toys to settle right in and enjoy your stay. The recent upgrade of the sliding glass/screen door and the addition of the split system AC makes the unit very easy to relax in and get some of that Kona vibe. I had several interactions with Marni, the owner, during my stay and she was extremely friendly, always had great suggestions and certainly went out of her way to make my stay enjoyable and memorable. The outdoor barbecue area is extremely nice and the sunsets from the pool/beach can not be beat. I can't recommend this condo highly enough and I will hopefully be back for many more visits!!!

We were very happy with our 10 night stay here. This is not a sterile and sparsely outfitted place. The kitchen is equipped to actually use with all appliances and gadgets that you might need. So pleased to find some seasonings and cooking oil and not just a tiny salt and pepper. Great Bosch dishwasher too. Full size washer/dryer in unit is a plus!
Additional benefits were the snorkel gear, boogie boards, ice chest and very nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs for excursions to the beach.
Location is great, we walked into Kona with no problem and the crowning glory is the deck overlooking the small community park next door and the magnificent ocean right outside. Surfers, boogie boarders to watch in the ocean and great people watching in the park. Yoga classes meet there many mornings at 8.
We contacted our host, Marnie to ask if the tv would allow streaming and she said no but she had been thinking about upgrading it so she bought a new one and installed it the next day! How’s that for responsiveness?
Could the decor be a bit updated? Yes. Did it matter? No. We felt at home here and will definitely be back.

We had breakfast every morning out there. There are also beach chairs, snorkeling gear, beach towels, cooler, etc. in a chest out on the lanai. It is a great location for walking to town. Marni is a fantastic host and although we did not get a chance to meet she was very attentive in checking in with us several times to make sure we were settled when we arrived and later in the week to check if we needed anything re-supplied, quietly leaving those supplies at our front door with a text letting us know they were there. Highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again!!

The property was exactly as described. The view from the lanai was beautiful and provided an opportunity to watch surfers catch some nice waves. Everything you might need in a kitchen was there and there were BBQ tools if you decide to cook on any of the community Weber gas grills. The bed was very comfortable, and the area was quiet affording a good night's sleep. Snorkeling equipment was supplied along with pool noodles and boogie boards. There was also a cooler (blue ice in the freezer) and beach chairs for picnics. The pool area was very well appointed with plenty of lounge chairs and the water temperature was just right. If we return to this area, we would definitely book this location gain.

I’ve stayed at many vacation rentals, but none as consciously furnished and stocked as this one. Marni thought of EVERYTHING, down to the ziplock sandwich bags, drying rack for suits, and honey for tea. Everything worked, was laid out well, and was super comfortable. There was a great balcony view of the beach park below. I gave four stars to the location because homeless folks camp out in that park, although none bothered me or anyone else as far as I can tell. Just a heads up.
Bottom line? An owner who cares about her guests. GREAT CONDO.

I absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful beachfront condo. I really enjoyed waking up to the ocean view with a cup of coffee on the patio every morning. The kitchen was well stocked, the king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very modern with a walk-in shower. We were very impressed by the overall appearance of the entire unit; modern fixtures and appliances, comfortable bed, A/C and fans in the bedroom and in the living room, very well stocked kitchen, and a beautiful view from the lanai (balcony). This place was everything advertised. We were so impressed with the amenities, location and ease of communication with Marni! If you are looking for a condo that is well located (we walked every morning a few blocks to grab a coffee and returned to lanai for breakfast we cooked in the condo), and it had everything you needed to cook. Restaurants for supper were all within walking distance. The lanai was enjoyed morning and late afternoon/evenings every day. And don’t forget the beach amenities- everything you need. Our only regret was that I didn’t book soon enough to get it for our entire stay. On our top list of places to return to. Thanks Marni!!

The location was perfect. Everything was an easy walk down Ali’i Dr. Shops, restaurants, the farmer’s market are all just a short stroll down the road. Breakfast every morning on the Lanai was a great way to start the day, and yes there is yoga on the beach each morning. Everything you might need was supplied. The views are spectacular, and listening to the surf is the best white noise you could ever ask for.

I'm Kona but on the edge. Easy to walk everything, but also right next to Honl's Beach. The condo itself has been very thoughtfully updated and all the appliance are nice and work perfectly. I can tell that If things go wrong here, they are immediately attended to. I appreciate that they put a fan on the Lanai. This is always so helpful when it get warm, but not everyone does it.
Also, I loved that there is actually kitchen stock! Though I did not cook, you have a good basis there to start from. They thought of everything here, and you can actually just come over n and start living here. So much better than a hotel room!

This was a perfect home base for our week in Hawaii. The condo has a spectacular view, is clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Mari was a wonderful host and available when we had questions. Make sure you walk to the Farmer’s Market for fresh mangos and papayas, Sushi Shiono for dinner, On the Rocks for a fantastic sunset view and Honl’s Beach to watch the surfers. The other reviews were right - this place was very clean, has everything you can think of needing for your stay, and Marni is absolutely fantastic to work with. The location is really convenient for walking to the restaurants and activities in Kona so we only rented a car for half the week we were there. The lanai overlooks a public park with beach access which is great. A few people live at the park full time and there were a couple of issues with noise/odd behavior but we didn't feel unsafe.

Marni sent the Check-In procedure before the date and time described when we first chose this property. Check-in was easy and painless. I had a couple of questions about sightseeing spot which were answered right away. The location is right in the middle of everything with gorgeous ocean views! The beach and pier is right outside the complex and everything is in walking distance. The condo was in excellent condition and updated. There were plenty of trash bags, dishes, toiletries, beach chairs, towels, and even masks/hand sanitizers. We were so happy with our stay. Very comfortable bed and the AC unit in the bedroom worked perfect (we didn’t need to use it any other time than sleeping). Just a block or two from many restaurants so easy to walk. We never had issues finding a parking which is included with the rental. We would stay here again if back in town.

Loved this condo unit! Marni, the property manager was very accommodating and great with communication.
It was wonderful to have a view of the ocean, and we really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the lanai and watching the waves and surfers.
Very well appointed with everything you could ever need, including ice chests, beach umbrella, beach towels, yoga mats, boogie boards, and even snorkel equipment! We really
loved how it was so beautifully decorated, in such a way that you really do feel like invited guests staying in their beautiful beach home away from home. The king size bed is very comfortable ( and we are picky about that ) as well as nice choice of sleeping pillows. The location is great, close to restaurants and shops, as well as favorite beaches and snorkeling spots.
And plenty of ample parking. Other people made comments about the air conditioner being on a timer and we had no problem staying cool even with the very warm temperatures during our stay.
The only negative is the homeless people that have chosen to stay at the near by beach. Seems to be a bit of a problem on the island.

This is a lovely condo - well-stocked and immaculate. Deck over the beach is a lovely place to enjoy your morning coffee. The special touches like the high end coffee and chocolates left for us were much appreciated. Lots of great information and communication. Highly recommend as a great place in the heart of the town, but right on the beach. Beautiful property and views.

This was a great place to stay, it had all the amenities you could ask for. I appreciated the beach umbrella!! Many of the beaches have no shade. The owner was available and quick to respond. Once we arrived, everything was so easy and straight forward we had no reason to contact her. The location is ideal. Downtown area and restaurants are walkable. Easy to get to the north beaches and the volcano national park.

My husband and i just returned from at week at Marni's place and I'm think that i should have her organize my own home. This place has everything that one could need. You'll find Kona coffee and snacks on arrival and an exceptionally well-appointed kitchen. The bed is especially comfortable and there is a huge assortment of pillows to suit everyone. The check in was effortless and her communication was excellent. Thanks so much for making our stay so nice.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this unit. We were in love from the moment we walked in. The condo is updated perfectly with ocean and sand tones, gorgeous artwork, and a view to die for. This unit is stocked with all of the things you need for a wonderful vacation. We appreciated the coolers, beach chairs and umbrella. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Marni left us a sweet note wishing us a happy anniversary as well as some local treats and coffee when we checked in. We had a couple of interactions with Marni while we were there and she was quick to respond and very friendly. The location is great- an easy walk to downtown Kona. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Our stay in this condo was lovely. The extra touches like the chaise and table and chairs on the lanai were not only appreciated- but very comfortable. Most of the time in the condo was spent on the lanai. It's a good size and the view is stellar. We loved hearing the waves (and the birds) and also enjoyed watching the surfers and boogie boarders in the evening. The condo has everything you need, from a great variety beach gear to kitchen items for cooking and eating to extra charging ports for your phone. It is very well outfitted and supplied. You can tell that a lot of thought went into being set up for guests' needs. The bed is very comfortable and I loved having pillow choices to get the level of firmness that was just right. (I am like the princess and the pea with beds...hard to please and was so comfy here.) The property also has a lovely pool that was never over crowded. There's a great BBQ area by the pool where we saw people grilling and having fun, although on this trip we didn't take advantage of that, we know we would in the future. It's a quick walk down Ali'i drive towards town to eat or shop. And also convenient to get to all areas of the island. It's about an hour (max) away from the Kohala area beaches if you want to venture up that way. But there are plenty of beaches close by as well. Parking was easy. Communication with Marni was easy, professional and very quick. And in all a wonderful stay at the Kona Reef unit B34. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Great condo...clean, comfy, tastefully furnished, fully stocked with everything you need, and an easy walk to dining, shopping, bars, etc. Beaches are a short drive. Check out the farmer's market early in your stay and get fresh fruit and veggies as well as some good mementos of your trip.

We had so much fun in Kona for our anniversary. This apartment had the perfect location close to shops, restaurants, and a sand beach. It was super comfortable, decorated lovely (I loved all the blues and beach vibes), and so close to the water that you get to hear the waves crashing when the slider was open. We enjoyed meals sitting at the table on the lanai just watching the waves roll in. You can also see the ocean while sitting on the couch. Being a night-shift worker, I appreciated that the bedroom did not get direct sunlight and could stay dark during the day if needed by keeping the shades drawn. Overall we will definitely stay here again, and actually gave the listing info to family for when they visit.

Marni has appointed this condo with everything you can think of. It's a completely remodeled condo, with a modern kitchen (under cabinet lighting, Bosc dishwasher, french door refrigerator) and is open to the living room with four bar stools. The bathroom has also been completely remodeled, there is a front load washer and dryer, and the air conditioner in the living room works great. The in-ceiling air circulating fan/vent from the hallway into the bedroom helped with cooling the bedroom. The lanai overlooks Honls Beach, is stocked with snorkels, fins, yoga mats, beach umbrella, ice chest, beach chairs....everything you will ever need. This was a great top floor unit and walkable to all the restaurants. The care basket with goodies was a nice touch too. Thanks Marni we loved your condo.

Marni has thought of everything to make your stay a wonderful experience. Beautifully undated condo with every necessity for the beach included. Condo was clean and pool well taken care off. Perfect spot to see the sunset every evening. Just a 5 to 10 minute walk to Alli Drive and tons of eating and shopping choices.
