Have rented a number of condos at Hale Kamaole, first time in this unit, found it nicely updated and clean...well stocked for cooking and the beach. Enjoyed the great view towards the ocean and being close to the lower pool. Would stay here again.
The only thing missing...a kettle!

If you have 5 people who need a bed with their own space (pullout in loft rather than living room), want to be four units from a great swimming beach and close to incredible snorkeling within two miles, want to be able to watch the sunset from your balcony, have a great responsive host, make your own food in a good kitchen, not worry about packing towels, coolers, beach chairs, stay here.

This was great place to stay! Everything was clean and well located. The condo had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. It was close to the beach and restaurants and had a lovely view of the ocean. I highly recommend staying here.

I found this spot was the best price to house 6 adults with each their own private space with the convenience of the loft. Great access to beach and pool- well stocked kitchen and beach toys/supplies. The only criticism is that there were a few spots that could use a deeper clean (ie doors looking a bit grey from fingerprints) or a few minor upgrades (patio closet requiring some sanding to avoid having to slam in shut) but we were very happy overall and had a great stay.

At first we were very concerned, when we arrived to find someone else in the Vrbo we rented. Luckily it was the property manager who was using the condo and didn’t realize we rented it and was able to clean it quickly. That set us back about an hour to get into the condo. The condo was very nice, but the AC units couldn’t handle the heat and left it a little warm during the day. The beds were comfortable and fit our needs. When it came to checking out, we were running s little late (1 hour) and based on the initial issue we had, I wasn’t too concerned about it, but the cleaning lady was right at the door at check out time and rudely confronted us about being late, I was not impressed with the attitude. Overall I was happy with the rental, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

We traveled a family of 6 (2 young kids) and 4 adults. This waa agreat set up, My inlaws took one room, we took another and the kids thought the loft/pullout was so fun. The place was clean and comfortable. Lots of great accessories in the porch closet. The location is good for walking to beaches and food and the pool was perfect, not huge but big enough. The owner and staff were all excellent, parking is easy and we had a great time.

Overall a nice place to stay on Maui for my group of 6. Everything was clean when we arrived and the check in process was smooth. Some of the appliances are a little old, but everything we used worked. The bedrooms have AC and there are large fans for those sleeping in the loft or living room. Location was great, right next to some popular beaches and shopping areas. Plenty of parking in the co-op. Make sure to check in with the co-op office to get a parking pass.

My wife and I stayed at this condo during Dec 2021 with our daughter and 2 year old grandson and enjoyed it thoroughly! Other than some of the appliances showing their age, everything was great. The view was perfect, kitchen was stocked up well and place was clean and comfortable. Location is unbeatable.

Overall a nice place but was spoiled by loud neighbors who played loud music until 1 in the morning and liked to hang around the outside of the condo frequently. Very convenient to amenities though.

Greats:
The location of the property is right behind Kamoale Beach 3 which will provide you with stunning views of the horizon. Can hardly get better than that.
The condo was clean when we arrived and, although there were some things that were dated, they had their own charm.
Communication with the owner was quick and responsive. Any question asked was give a response in minutes.
Not so greats:
Listing needs to be updated. We chose this property as we saw that the listing had 2 twins and 2 kings . Double checking the listing again, I am correct that the listing is wrong. In actuality, the property has 2 twins, 1 queen sofa, and 1 king.
Maybe its just the kihei area that this condo is located in, but the feral roosters woke us up at 3 am every night while we stayed there Closing the windows ddidnt help. Earplugs are rrecommended

Terrific location with a beautiful view of the ocean right across the road. We could also see the pool from the lanai, which was great when the kids wanted to swim on their own.
The condo is exactly as pictured-- small and not especially up to date but comfortable. I was worried that it would be hot without AC in the main rooms but with the doors and windows open, the breeze kept it cool and the AC in the bedrooms kept it comfortable at night.
The showers were very slow to drain (probably because of sand) but the owner immediately brought over some drain cleaner that (somewhat) helped. She also replaced 2 bedside lamps and overall was incredibly responsive.
There is a closet on the lanai with one boogie board, several beach chairs, and a cooler, all of which we put to good use, along with lots of the provided beach towels.
In all, I'd say you get what you paid for-- not especially fancy or luxurious but for the price a great place to stay.

We rented this room for two nights via VRBO last minute stays. We extended our stay in Maui but had to find a new room - this was that room. Great views of Kam 3 beach park from the cozy lanai. The room is near the pool as well. Really nice size room - 2 full bedrooms and a loft for additional sleeping. Kitchen was a little small but more than ample enough to put meals together and store snacks. Downside however, was bugs. We found 3-4 bugs in the kitchen, including sugar ants which were also on the lanai. Hopefully a nice, natural bug extermination can take place. The bathrooms were good size and clean. There’s also in room laundry but it was clear the machines needed to be replaced - which the owner was apparently having done soon. Because the dryer had no lint filter and vented out above the front door, lots of lint piled up quickly. This shouldn’t be a problem after replacement. The two bedrooms had AC which made for comfortable sleeping. However, the main living area did not, so it got a bit toasty in there throughout the day. There is a screen door on the front door which does allow you to open (and keep bugs & geckos out) and get a little cross breeze from the lanai slider/screen door. The communication with the owner was outstanding and much appreciated.

We had a lovely time in Kihei! The condo was set up very well for our family. Plenty of space, well stocked kitchen tools, and we loved having a washer and dryer (brand new set installed while we were there!). Easy access to pool and a great beach for kids to play and enjoy Maui sunsets. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Good location across from beach. Condo is not updated and renovated as it says. The plank flooring looks like only thing renovated. Everything else is not. Kitchen and all kitchen appliances are from the 1980s. Furniture is very old and dated. No lint trap in dryer. Coffee maker broke and was quickly replaced which is appreciated. Not having central air just makes it a hot humid experience.

We enjoyed our one week stay in this spacious unit. We weren’t able to check in early due to cleaning and were too tired from our travels, so we napped at the beach across the street until check-in. Unfortunately my boyfriend had an injury at the start of the trip and had to stay more at the condo than he planned, as walking was very difficult. Luckily he enjoyed the view from the lanai and the ac in the bedroom. My teens went to the beach daily while I made dinner. Checkout was a little challenging only because our flight was so early and we had to pull sheets off the beds and toss in washer before leaving. I’d stay there again but plan a later flight. The sunsets were a highlight every night - except the one I missed taking my son to the ER - was nice to come “home” to the condo.
